crashes immediately after trying to record a video. nothing gets recorded or sent. I'm able to view other people's videos though. Pixel 10 Pro XL and Android 17 QPR3 Beta 3. Started happening the last few days of October.

I like it, cause I can talk to my sister even though we don't live together anymore, so if I miss her I can send her a message on here and still feel like we're connected daily.

No notifications for messages and it crashes every time I record. The fact that this is the 7th highest grossing app for Communication is insane given how buggy it is. I feel robbed.

The app lied to my friend saying that I was waiting to talk to my friend, which is notification talk for "open this app, I want you to use me." STUPID CHEAP WAY TO YEARN THE APP'S ATTENTION!!!!

I enjoyed this app but since changing devices I haven't been able to login for a very long time now... I have emailed severally with no response.. they say they send a code to my WhatsApp number but no code ever arrives.. I'm frustrated

not being able to scroll through a long video message, even after the app crashes and I have to reopen and restart video is criminal. that should be free.

"who did you download this for? Send them a polo. it takes 10 seconds" didn't appreciate this notification, especially if being the first one the app has ever sent to me. don't demand me to do something.

Marco it pains me to leave a less than 5 star review, but this particular sudden lack of ability to fast forward to the end of a video or move forward in larger chunks has driven me to other platforms for the first time in a decade. I can see the controls but they no longer work. They simply open up some random screen. If I so much as pause a 30 minute polo to take a call I have to completely rewatch. is this too push people to paid only? If so, please compare a tiered menu of paid options.

Hi Marco Polo Team, I am currently a member of someone else’s Marco Polo Plus subscription group. While I love being part of this plan, I am highly frustrated that the app completely blocks me from purchasing Plus passes, gift cards, or subscriptions for other friends who are outside of my group and cannot afford Plus on their own. By restricting all purchasing power exclusively to the primary account holder, you are creating a massive barrier for users who want to spend money on your platform.

I like this app. I can see who I am chatting with and I can answer whenever I have a chance.

It really is a fun way to stay connected. Way better than text. I love how it promotes a more organic conversation and allows the freedom to keep it short or go really long if your heart desires

my audio stopped working for recording videos and customer support tried a couple things then gave up

if you want to stop being a free app, just stop being a free app. having an ad forcing me to upgrade to plus and not allowing me to log in is beyond obnoxious. I was a little annoyed when you took away features like transcript, but having an ad that continues to pop up no matter how many times I close it is appalling. if you can't be free anymore, fine. I could have subscribed then. but a never-ending ad makes me want to never give you money ever.

Marco polo is dating messages with wrong dates..using next day and date as time msg left when it was actually left the day before and messages sent to day are being placed to the left of all the messages so the older messages are playing and then newer messages are being pushed back as if they were left first and they left last and the wrong person is getting a message intended for someone else

keep getting told I will lose my Marco's if I don't upgrade and pay, very annoying.

I've used this for years to stay in contact with close friends and family. But it no longer works on new Android phones.

Marco Polo is a great way to connect with my family members who are all in different states. I love that I get to see pieces of my nieces and nephews lives and sing Happy Birthday to each other even if we're in different times zones.

This app is obviously scammy, they just keep a neverending advertisement window in your face that you can't close so you cannot operate the app. Great work guys turned off for life.

For the last year or so playback has been terrible. the video is fine, but the audio has constant interruptions which makes understanding the person speaking almost impossible. I have uninstalled and reinstalled The app. I have shut off and restarted my phone. I even bought a new phone not because of Marco Polo but it happened to buy a new phone and the problem continues. it is extremely frustrating

Update 09/23/26: Marketing Notifications coming in even though I have them off in the settings. Why do I have to use Android System to turn off notifications that I DON'T want?? I want to know when a friend or family member leaves a message. But, NO! Marco Polo acting like a scam company by ignoring our wishes about notifications! Cost you 3 stars!

Marco polo is wonderful, it allow me to see family members and feel connected even when I don't verbally participate.

I don't know what has happened but for the last several weeks I can watch polos from my friends but it refuses to allow me to record. the camera doesn't turn on even though the permissions are all there. and even if I try to record without the camera it errors at about 15 seconds in saying whoops something happened and there wasn't a recording. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it made no difference. it sucks because I've used this app for 6 years with no issues.

Extremely upset that I only wanted to do a month membership and was charged for a full year. I'll be deleting it after the membership ends since I cant get a refund and will never recommend this app.

I've used Marco Polo for over a decade now. It's extremely aggravating that they took all sorts of FREE features away that they had forever, and they started charging you for them. And the price for the premium app? Outrageous! And then they add new features for free, then change it to the premium plan later. Come on guys, really?

it is not sending recorded videos AND keeps freezing/glitching out when I watch and send reactions UPDATE: Those glitches seem to have been resolved and replaced with the fact that now my reactions will randomly be deleted before the recipient can even view them PLEASE HALP! 😫

I have used this app for probably 10 years. it's one of the very few that I actually pay for. but I have to say, I have been really disappointed with it lately. it does not play through Android auto, it constantly goes and gives us a black screen, it has jerky video for no reason. I'm at the point where I'm ready to pay for a different product. I hope this gets fixed

I've been using Marco Polo for years and I absolutely love it. Purchased the annual once and did enjoy the features of listening at a faster pace, and being able to forward videos, but couldn't justify the cost the following year. This app allows me to connect with my dearest friends whether they're in the same town or thousands of miles away. 10/10! 🙌❤️

Why is the audio always choppy?

This app has been a game changer for staying connected to busy friends!! I would love to see an Android Auto feature added that allows us to listen while driving.

I really enjoy this app it's a great way to stay in touch with family and friends especially those that live far away. however I have lately been having issues and I have had this issue in the past and no idea how to fix it or how it got fixed before. when I play record the screen stays black and nothing records and the person on the other end gets a notification but tells them playback error. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it has not fixed this issue.

It was better when they didn't charge people so much for features that used to be free. Then they went and raised the prices again recently! I would prefer an app that everyone just paid a low price for. Might switch back to the free version.

My dad passed aug 12 2020 at 46 i use this app to go back and look at all the videos we had I love our chats are still here i can watch them over and over and it feels hes still here thaks for this wonderful app my chats are now gone I don't know what they did but my chats are no longer there and now I have nothing

I keep getting aggressive notifications and emails about upgrading my account I don't care that the photos are going to disappear just let it happen and leave me alone already.

My only social media platform, other than YouVersion. I love using it to talk to friends, especially those who are far away. I love seeing their face and hearing their voice! And we can download the polos to save them. Even without plus, this is my favorite way to hear about people's days, and with Seconds.

It's a fun app that's handy for live communication, but when you're not willing to pay for it, they have quite a bit of limitations, such as not being able to get to a specific part of a video and not being able to speed it up, which is unhelpful unless you want to spend a chunk of money on it, but other than that, it's a good app!

Extremely buggy app. It will frequently delete long videos recorded by myself or my family member so we have to re-record it. Sent an email to support about this and never heard back. This is a service that I pay for. I am essentially being stolen from EDIT: After three years I want to come back and amend my review. If I could put zero stars I would. This app is STILL full of infuriating bugs. the amount of times I have sent a 10+ minute video only for it to glitch and be unplayable is insane.

This app is unique in what it provides, which is really valuable. However, if there was another app that had better UI, easier to manage storage, and less predatory premium ads, I'd switch to that one immediately.

it's actually super good, but I've had problems where my friends will get off Marco polo but their account still says they are active. sometimes it wont send my seconds or let my friends send videos, (some of my problems might just be me...idk tho) but other than that, I think it's totally awesome. 😎 also, I think the support team is awesome so if you just email them then they'll help you with your problems!

I use this every day to message with my bestie who lives out of state. The app glitches out sometimes though and either the video or audio won't work. I uninstall and reinstall and it's fine usually.

Fun way to talk to grandkids .

Recently switched from iPhone to android and now the time on the videos don't show time elapsed, it shows the full length of the video on both sides.

This app has been enshitified to the absolute Max. literally everything is behind a paywall. Yeah, it does what is advertised. but if you want to save yourself the headache and not re-watch every video and waste your time you have to pay up. And the plans are STEEP.

I don't know what's going on. Since the last update every single message is bolded as if it's unread. This isn't helpful, because in an app where notifications function sometimes, I often open the app to check for unseen messages and now everything looks unseen even things I've watched already.

Edit: By pause, I mean the ability to pause a long video and come back to it. Or a way to fast forward to where I left off. 10 second intervals isn't helpful in a 30 minute video. I would subscribe if it has these plus at least one additional user with purchase. Cons: no timer while recording, no pause button while watching, and occasionally get a video that refuses to play and you can't record the next one until the sender deleted it on their end.

this app has not been revamped since it was launched. I have the paid version and I do not feel like it's worth the money. what I do not like the most is the very long delay when you send a response message while somebody is recording

won't work, my friend can send me videos but mine crashes anytime I try to send. my theory is that it's because I use the free version. This app hasn't worked for me in over 3 months.

I like using this app but they need to add timer to wherever someone's doing a video message so we can know the limits.

Not receiving SMS codes to sign up. Used multiple numbers and no luck still. Could not access the link sent to reach out for help. Tried the 2nd link you sent still a blank page showing and no luck. Sent an email but no response.

it's been very slow. Most of the seconds don't load, and the polos keep loading and then going for 3 seconds repeat. But I do like to see my friends on here and see their faces and what they are up to.

Been using this app for years. over the last two weeks I have been slowly getting less and less notifications when people send messages. my wife noticed the same thing in her phone. I rarely get notified of new messages anymore. Makes the app almost useless. Nothing else changed and nothing I have done has fixed the problem, even deleting the app and downloading again. none of my other apps are having problems like this.

One of my favorite ways to stay in touch with people! Marco Polo Plus is a must!

I love being able to talk to my friends and being able to just be ourselves. It has some really funny sound effects that make you laugh.

notifications on android no longer work after last update. notifications worked just fine before this update. I confirmed I have notifications turned on in app settings and settings within Marco.

I love the app but recently I stopped getting notifications when someone sends a video so I dont know until I open the app that a received a video. I have restarted my phone my notifications are turned on in app and in phone so im not sure whats going on but please fix this. I use this app to communicate with my teen son alot.

Why do I get a message: "so and so shared a second WITH YOU"????? Please change the wording. It's not funny. not personal. don't mess with people.

it's time for my annual check-in... Bluetooth audio still causes significant problems, and now even with all of my notification set to on I regularly don't get notified about chats. Audio doesn't work with Bluetooth on.... even if there are no devices connected. this has been across my last two phones... Also, there are also 15!!! categories of notifications and I still can't disable the "Contact is back on Marco Polo, send them a message" notifications

Have yet to get the issues fixed OVER 3 YEARS after sending the requested email. Always glitching. for 6 years I have the PAID version and the features don't work. Emojis don't show. Bubbles don't work-Notifications turned on/ don't get them unless app is open. Open the app and it goes back to whatever it feels like instead of letting me pick what I'm going to watch. Bunches of friends concur. Glitches everywhere. WHAT ARE WE PAYING FOR? Erased and redownloaded multi times per support.NOTFIXED

I used to love this app, but now it's just really frustrating. after watching 15 minutes worth of video, if you accidentally click off or need to do something else you have to restart the whole video. I get having a membership and needing to pay for the app, but just give me ads.

the app was great till it wasn't. they took away the ability to read ( unless premium) and took away the ability to jump to where you left off (unless premium) if you touch the screen in any way it starts over. it was an ok app, now its a junk app

has gotten incredibly bad since they implemented AI. I cannot close the app without the sound stopping, so what am I paying for? I kept submitting tickets and they finally told me point blank that they won't be fixing the issue I'm reporting.

It's a pretty good form of communication, but it's just so restricted! I mean the videos are okay, but if I wanted to share something like a recording or picture, I have to pay. I don't want to pay to send pictures, or recordings, or save videos, or any of that stuff! I get it, you need money, but you could at least let me do a little more. On top of that, I can't use text in my videos. I don't know why, but ever since the last two months my text won't show up. My friend's text shows up.

MP has been a very special tool for myself and very close friends as I recently lost my wife of 51 years. We can be intimately supportive via MP though miles apart. I'd give MP a 5 if more features were available on the free version. Seniors like myself on fixed incomes can't afford paid subscriptions.

I love Marco Polo I've been using this app for a little over a year and it is really strengthened my relationship with my friends and siblings who live far away. it's so easy to send a video message. I love being able to see their faces and hear their voices.

I feel I must edit my 2021 review. I used this app for years before it had a paid tier. I can't tell you the number of people who don't bother with this app due to the constant (annoying) prompts that free users receive. In fact, many believe they must pay to use the app. It should not be so misleading. Next, the Pro plan is too costly. Lastly, whenever I reach out to support with exception of the very last time, I get no good answers. I have many "enhancement requests" & bulk user questions.

buggy. it's so convenient but videos audio will skip even after they've fully had time to connect and then the next videos audio is clear. sometimes the screen is very pixelated and sometimes it's crystal clear. it's just kind of frustrating to use so I'm marking it middle of the road

I've been using this app for a long time, before all these fees dropped on us users. I loved this app to talk to my long distance friends and family but now it is deleting all of our old polos unless you upgrade and pay money for more "storage". Yeah right, that wasn't a feature before, so why is it a feature now?? Those are memories of MY family. MY friends. People who have passed away and are now in my photos and videos, including my polos. I might as well delete all my apps to save my polos.

I agree with the other reviews about the price increases. It's absolutely ridiculous and an app like this does NOT need to be increasing pricing so much. Especially since it doesn't seem like no new features or perks have been added with the prices? Up to $60/yr and now it's $80?! They have made the free version unusable and no fun to use and all the good tools are paywalled. I've been using this app for years and this is probably my last. Extremely lame.

Great app for sharing videos with family

I enjoy this app for being able to connect with groups of friends that are across the country. it helps us stay in touch in-between meet-ups. my frustration as a paid user is that transcript summaries can be in random languages that I do not recognize. This needs to be fixed.

Whoever is in charge of product/engineering needs to do some serious work on the text transcripts. More often than not, if the speech in a video isn't crystal clear it usually outputs some sort of unintelligible sanskrit text nonsense, or something very inappropriate. Either way the video transcripts are wrong 100% of the time. It's comical in the AI enabled world. Also dont send me "urgent" notifications about upcoming video deletions. most people would not define that as urgent.

I am unable to even verify The code does not send. I have tried every single notation, even used my backup phone number but nothing works

Great way to stay in touch. I've used it daily for three years. Is reliable. only hack I need is when sharing a photo... I need to switch to a different app in my android then switch back for my photo to show as a recording. Paid version is worth it over the free. Love the gifting a few months of paid version to others too. Biggest selling point is unlimited recordings. I'm able to keep up on deeper relationships and develop newer ones with close friends and family as a result of MP.

Cool concept, terrible execution They make to pay a premium for HD video lol? I think the makers of the app forgot we are on a world of 4K and up. I'm not watching a pixelated video of my friends when I can text them videos with 1,000 better quality for free. Tried it with a friend and we both deleted the app after two days of trying to look past the terrible video quality.

I have been using this app for years! but as of late, there are so many glitches and instances of it recording when you are not actually recording. times where the reactions just straight up don't work. freezes and then kicks me out of the app entirely. a few minutes ago, the video got all warped and my phone shut off. I love this app, how convenient it is and don't want to give it up but there needs to be some work on the glitches
