To delete a message you need a subscription. The most obnoxious move ever.

Consistently buggy. I have to use this app for something and it consistently causes problems. Often, the messages don't fully come through. They stop and are silent part way through. The messages don't always come through at all until the next day. You can't "scroll" through a message to a specific part. So if you want to re-listen to something you have to play the whole thing again. The paid version doesnt provide any features advertised in the private chats, but they don't tell you that ahead!

update. tried another app then came back and it's still buggy, now it won't play messages in one go ihave to keep pressing play, it won't load the whole message a lot of the time so I'm playing guessing games and i don't get notifications anymore... I uninstalled and reinstalled but I have to force close and reopen 10x a day Been using this app for almost 15 years, the last few weeks is not working. Not sending messages. Not giving notifications on either end

I just updated the app the other day and now my voice messages are cutting off. they seem to get stuck and the other person can only hear half the message. I'm paying for the premium so I'm hoping this bug will get fixed quickly I don't want to keep paying for something that's not working properly.

app constantly runs which drains battery. uninstalled reinstalled no change. so only fix left was I permanently uninstalled it.

Someone was allowed to change my profile picture and name to that of a man. Trust me I am female. It won't let me change it back to anything but to James Edwards photo, I do not know this person. This needs to be fixed ASAP and not allowed again

Half of my contacts are missing

It wont notify me that ive been voxed it has devolved since this has been posted it wont send voice or text unless I turn on airplay mode then turn it off and then reload the chat and then reload a 2nd chat then the 1st chat will send and receive untill I close the app at which point I need to do it again ... ive reinstalled it ,logged out and in, deleted app data , made a new account and nothing fixes it and yes the settings are set up correctly

If I'm not wrong, I'm pretty sure I started using this app this 2nd day or so after they made it no\n I've had an account paid for on it. I don't pay for it in the last few years I saved my butt for a lot of jobs and a lot of communication friends family you name it good job, fellas, I appreciate yous 🍻

Vox needs to give my $8.00 back for pro if you can't do what you claimed you can do. If I pay to be able to recall messages why aren't they being recalled? Why are people still getting messages sent and recalled an hour before they even check the message? Then tell me you are looking into it and never reach out again....

Core messaging functions work okay. Clients, colleagues, and friends all complained about notifications being an issue, and I would agree: I would also often not get any indication of a new message, and then other times it would show HUNDREDS in the notification badge, but all for old messages.

The developer is showing only one of my devices instead of two. why?

App is so buggy. Sometimes, the messages from a few days ago would disappear then reappear again the next day... So annoying! Another time i cant load picture... Can someone explain why voxer refuses to make notification sounds? I have them on and my other apps make sounds. Also too often the messages don't send or come through, and so I have to use other apps like texting to communicate with that person, which defeats the purpose. Voxer used to be so good, what happened? Been using for over a decade...also can't scroll back to old messages anymore and for some reason the listening setting stays on speaker and won't hold to my preference ofhandset only.

i really love it because I can use it to call my little brother and it's good for kids because I'm a kid it's not just for adults 💙💙

The reviews just keep getting worse and worse. Every "update" seems to make Voxer more buggy and less reliable. The "speaker", "headset" or "auto speaker" settings constantly change as they've never been fixed. I've quit being a paid subscriber. We downgraded our use of Voxer at work because of unreliability. It appears Voxer making the program less stable and LESS usable. It's clear the programmer for voxer is in way over his/her head.

So many issues with the android version. iPhone friends have a different experience. Push record, and it won't record. Doesn't stop running when you exit, so it drains the battery. Hard to navigate to a certain spot in the message. Playback controls are lacking.

Weird that they won't improve this service, feels very 2009. Android app is the best part of a meh experience. Web app version can't even take pasted photos (only file > save > upload jpg) and doesn't have playback speed toggle. Simple implementations, but they don't bother ?

Unbelievable how I press play on a starred vox and the app shoots me down to the bottom of the screen no matter what every time. it is annoying to have to scroll back up and find where you were if you are trying to forward the message. I refuse to believe this is something that is necessary for any reason at all.

Need my money back!! I had issues with this app, can't load messages, my contacts names are missing show as unknown then shows names. messages won't play. I upgraded to Pro to hopefully fix the issues and it's still doing the same things, I need my money back asap

have used it for what feels like 20 years. love it for relationships. it is extremely glitchy on the Android app and I've had to uninstall it several times over the years. they need to develop a few things they're way behind in but for communication I love it

Voxer is terrible at what is was created to do. Years after release, the same issues exist. Just read through the reviews over the years, and you will see that the developers have done little to fix things. It's possible that their updates actually made things worse.

Very disappointing. When I get audios on Voxer while listening to music, the app pauses the song but never resumes it. WhatsApp, Zelle, Messenger and Telegram do this fine, but not Voxer. I emailed support months ago, they only said ‘working on it’ and never fixed it. Paid for Premium, total waste. Canceled my subscription. Don’t waste your money.

notification sounds impossible to change. Voxer, how can I change my notification sounds on Android?? For many years it was in the menu and you choose whatever. Now everytime you update WE are stuck using whatever sound you choose. 3 people I talk to are angry about this. fix this problem!! Sept 5-2025

the app is terrible most of the time it doesn't allow you to send messages. what's comical is they have a premium version. why would a want to pay for a scrappy app that rarely works.

I used this app many years ago on my iPhone 4, currently on Samsung S25 Ultra and I downloaded it remembering that it used to be a pretty good app but I keep getting this really annoying notification that lets me know that I'm online and when I swipe it off it continues to come back. I want to turn that off it's annoying. will change my review after using the app more

I think it works great. sometimes it has a couple of hiccups but what apps don't?

Can't you include a way to rewind 10 seconds or fast forward? Getting that progress dot to move where I want it is almost impossible with these fat fingers. I thought upgrading to pro would at least give me some better control over message playback. I do like the transcription function but it's glitchy. Why does it show up in a tiny postage stamp size window. Then I have to scroll and scroll and scroll and scroll in order to read and then all of a sudden guess what? I'm back at the top. Unfun.

used at work and used to be great, but the notifications and the audio for notifications is a joke. it worked flawlessly in the past but they haven't kept up with the new OS updates with Android or iOS

its ok. it drives me crazy that it always has you has marked online with out anyway to turn it off, also it is very hard to scroll back to see old msges. which is needed for work. so My reveiw reflects that, always online etc.

Looks like they erased my last bad review, so I'll go ahead and make another. App is trash, my family insists on using it, but it NEVER works right. Been forced to use it for years and the same issues from years ago still exist. Messages and pics won't send at least 50% of the time, with no reason given. Why would I buy a premium version? Does it work any more reliably? Highly doubt it. Stay away! Especially if timely messages are important to you.

This app presents a new HUGE security and privacy risk for its users. The "Use Play/Pause button on the headset" is enabled by default after update. I disabled the option and somehow it turned on again (perhaps after auto-updating). This caused me to unknowingly broadcast extended private conversations to random chats. A scan of other reviews shows other users experiencing this in work settings. This feature needs to be disabled by default or removed entirely!

Sound quality is horrible since last update. Even setting on 30 db with phone volume to max, I can barely hear messages and they sound like they're far away and coming from the inside of a tin can.

Needs major improvements, you see vox rating 3.3 star so bad 👎.

It doesn't support screen rotation, which drives me crazy. the charging cable socket on my tablet is in the middle of the bottom edge. If it's running low, I have to use it upside down on my stand while it's plugged in. Voxxer is one of only two apps I have that will not rotate the screen to support this. The second is that the attach file to send dialogue will only let me send from my dropbox. I can't navigate to a file in another folder.

Useless, barely works

Trash. This app could easily be the best voice chat app if every release didn't introduce new bugs constantly. Now my messages get frozen on sending and I have to uninstall and reinstall to be able to send again. It's like their implementation on Android is an afterthought compared to Apple. Someone else can report it. Get some proper quality assurance and try your own app before you put it out.

cannot exit. will run in background until you uninstall. contacted support they told me they do not provide support for free version. there has to be a similar app that let's you exit / quit program when you want to.

App was great until notifications broke. Voxer was recommended to me by another business owner who was using it for their team. I tried it out and liked that I can communicate with my team in real time and that we can communicate in voice or in text. I paid for the pro version and very much like the extreme notifications that would make sure I did not miss any messages. However, all notifications just stopped working. Tried everything to resolve, but still unreliable notifications. Cancelling.

Seems impossible to get a support ticket reply where they actually read the request rather than providing copy and paste replies. Please refund current month as can't do this from Google play store.

Stays on in the background 24/7

Voxer continues to disappoint. I wish the programmers would learn something about Contrast. They show the time a message was sent, but it's grey against a slightly darker grey background, making it very difficult to read. Voxer continues to underperform compared to SMS or RCS messaging. If I relied on Voxer for anything important, such as work, I would have lost my job already. So I use other software specifically for work. My wife and son don't always receive notification of a new msgs.

While I was on Tiktok, voxer started recording sound for 3 minutes and sent it to my work group. Someone had to text me to let me know. Then I closed all of the apps in my phone and put it down. It did it again with the app closed. Now everyone at work has recordings of my private conversations.

Essential app. Just need android auto support. Several other similar apps like viber support it. I use voxer a lot but if I'm in the car and connected to android auto it doesn't even work on the phone and the audio routing is terrible no way to get the audio to work.

Mybapp never works anymore. I can rarely actually open a chat. When I tap on a messabe to listen to it, it won't play. I had to uninstall and reinstall because there was one person I could never see messages from. I hate this app because it never works but have to use it for work.

Worst app ever. All of the icons flicker and the app freezes constantly. Can't click to view messages at all. The worst part is I signed up for a free trial and it charged my card the full amount immediately. What the heck???? So then I messaged support and none of my messages would go through. This is not the first time I've had issues with Voxer. I also have an Android and I've heard that Voxer works better on iPhone. Just avoid this app at all costs. Honestly, Signal is so much better.

It's keeps glitching

Current version of app is incredibly buggy. My work is dependent upon this app. The latest version doesn't allow me to scroll in my messages and keeps sending me back to the bottom. It's becoming a real headache to use. I've been a Voxer Pro member for years but looking to cancel my subscription at this point.

I love the idea of this app and I've been using it for a few years. It makes it so easy to communicate with certain people who I communicate with frequently. However, it has major glitches at least once a week and the customer service is terrible. At the very least don't use the paid version because it's not worth what you'll pay for it.

Still too much compression on images. Also, the very last update has made this program almost unusable on an S24 Ultra. The latest update as of 1/12/24 has way to much compression on images making sharing screenshots and other photos unreadable. I understand that there will be compression, but the current level is way too compressed. I use this app all the time.

Love the app it's great but it's had a bug lately where when I try scrolling up to see past messages it just resets and puts me at the bottom and most recent message. Also it will bug out insanely where users without pictures will go from solid colors to rainbow.

I have used this app for years. It has done nothing but do a steady decline downhill. And there is no support. You can try to do support tickets. Try to get a hold of the proper people, they will not respond because they do not care. I think they're just milking the money and just writing it out until it sinks LOL. I will be canceling my Voxer pro and uninstalling this app now and I will never install it again.

Good app but so many issues. Most recent one is that it's renaming all contacts to "unknown user", marking all messages as unread, and not sending messages. In-between times when the bugs aren't an issue, it works great.

Lately this app has been awful. Sadly my job relies on this app. For some reason it is always malfunctioning on my phone. My phone is not the problem constantly this app wants to freeze up and or not load my conversations or I never get notifications. Please fix this cuz this is definitely making my job harder. Buggy, not reliable, generally frustrating to use.

I loved voxer have used it for over 5 years! Ever.single.day... however, now when I get a message, the message automatically plays even if the apps not open. Cleared cache and forced stop doesn't help. Sadly until it's fixed I will be deleting the app :(

The app is good, but there are times when it seems to link my account with another. I'll see a pop-up notification indicating I'm online, but there are times when it will read the name of another user. Update: The team responded and sent an update. The issue has been resolved, and my account reflects my name.

It's a good app but the chat is so jumpy. It is very hard to view messages above the most recent sent It just keeps refreshing and kicking me to most recent message.

It's just too hard to understand. It's really really hard to understand answer to simply use as well. I inadvertently put my picture on this thing. And I can't figure out how to get my picture off it. I know probably nobody's looking at this but if they can tell me what I need to do to delete that picture off my off the Detroit Lions banter going back and forth. Ahhhh... Images on messages R poor quality, so blurry u cant even read. We should B able to TAG MESSAGES to B able to communicate more effectibly, like we do on Whatsapp, Messenger, etc. That should be a BASIC VERY NECESSARY feature. The voice sound of voicemails is incredibly POOR. Needs to B fixed ASAP! Theres a glitch when i send a long message & separate paragraphs in the same message, when i click Send, the sent message appears all clumped up in only one paragraph. No way to send PDFs on the ph app!

***NEW*** 6/27 vox logo for app is gone now. Just gray droid logo ***UPDATE*** 3/22/24 app isn't playing messages. Just spins and nothing plays. If I didn't have to use this app for work, I wouldn't. It is glitchy, voice notes and messages sometimes take forever to send/receive. Just horrible for an app in 2024. Gave 2 stars because I do like the idea of the app and when it does load and work properly, it is good. Please fix these issues.

Messages keep getting stuck on sent. I keep resetting my network connections, I keep force closing reopening the app and nothing is working. This only started happening a few days ago

The app isn't user friendly. I have trouble with my hands, due to Cerebral Palsy. I previously upgraded to Pro, specifically for walkie-talkie mode, only to find out that it's not available for private chats. My Coach uses the app to communicate with his clients one-on-one. So, I need to be able to use it, too.

Update: 2/17/24 I got the latest update and so far it works! Edit: now half of my chats say Unknown User even though they're real people currently on Voxer. I cannot click on their name to see their username and I cannot friend them or add them to a group because it just says Unknown User. When I type out a message and have spaces between what should be paragraphs, when I send the message Voxer closes all the gaps and send it as 1 long message. It is very annoying. I have the latest version.

Horrible.. whatever update happened completely destroyed my app.. can't even get a Voxer from someone in the next room.. uninstalled 3x . Logged in with Facebook, nothing, logged in with email, nothing.. changed email, never got reset instructions emailed, contacts coming up in list with American airlines icon for names.. invite sent out, email link doesn't work..been using this app for years and after every single update there's an issue.. hint taken loud and clear.. delete and find another

I wish it was easier to log off, but it stays idle and will chime if someone pushes the button whether it's open or not.

I want to give a shout out to the Voxer Customer Service. I recently purchased a new phone and was having trouble getting the voxer app to work. I emailed Voxer support with my issue. I got an email back within 20 minutes with very clear instructions on who to solve the problem. I was impressed!! I rely on the Voxer app in my business and highly recommend it.

Very glitchy. Been using it for over 5 years. Have had pro entire time. My account got very glitchy and wouldn't load any chats even from the main screen. Had to make a whole new account (use it for work). Latest updates have made it even more glitchy. It crashes VERY often. I have to manually shut it down several times a day. Voxer itself went down several times for hours at a time last week. You have to pay for a lot of the more useful features. Doesn't let you change the notification sound

Terrible app. Says my message is delivered even though it never actually goes through. Will not alert me when I have messages. When I open these new messages it will say I have already read then even though I've never even looked at them

The last few times using this app it stops sending messages and when I get a message it won't play. Yes I have the newest update.

Seems like there's always some type of issue with the app. Need it for work
