these people treat you like dirt. rude, disrespectful, customer service is basically extortion. After i canceled my insurance to get a new policy with full coverage, cancelation was completed before the next payment was due they charged me anyway. very expensive, for very little coverage.

I've never had a problem with their response time or filing a claim.

I can't determine whether I can view individual vehicles policy cost or edit my them and what is the Green Discount ssvings.

as far as I'm concerned, auto owners is a class act business that makes sure that everything that you own or have is insured. however, in the present time I believe everything is inflated and prices could be a lot lower to help everyone out.

it doesn't take your money right when u pay for your bill. it says your payment is scheduled. if your not aware of this and you empty your account your payment will fail.

I used to love Auto-Owners then I tried to use their roadside, super bummed, really lame I want to say it's kind of stupid.

only thing I can do thru this app is get a phone number and when I call it they are closed or don't return messages.

Worst roadside assistance EVER! I had to get a tow a few weeks ago and they never found anyone (10 hours total), and recently a different vehicle needed a tow and still couldn't find anyone (4 hours total). What's the point of paying for roadside assistance if Honk/Auto Owners has nobody in network? Go out of network, find someone and pay for it instead of having policy holders do it.

I have this app on my phone and tablet everything worked fine until they updated the app. I use the Google password manager now it will not display my saved password.

Worked reasonable well except it refused to accept the destination address. Appears to be a google map problem but it shouldn't delete half the address repeatedly. I ended up cancelling because the towing eta was 1hr 15min. Checked my AAA and they were there in 20 minutes. A few years ago AO was going to cancel my actual collision insurance because they thought I was using the roadside too much. Should have reported them to the state agency. Will be switching everything when I'm ready.

Installed the latest version and get the following when attempting to sign into the app: "An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later" The error has not changed for many days. Clearing the cache, data, and a force stop does not change the message.

Used to work fine. Now it just sits at a spinning wheel when logging in. I even uninstalled and reinstalled with no change. 5 years later, I finally got a response. It is working now.

This company just stopped pulling automatic payments for car insurance without communication. No phone call, no paper mail, no email. I discovered I owed $150, I paid it and I just found out my insurance was still cancelled. Now I have to pay to reinstate it. I cannot access any documents online I couldnt even before cancelation. They were all password protected and I have been given no password. They do not get back to you through email. It is a holiday and I am without car insurance.

Easy to pay payments on app but unable to download insurance card due to "storage permissions issue." Have reached out to support. No reply. Otherwise pleasant company to deal with.

I'm trying to add an existing policy to the app so I can pay the bill, and it won't let me. If the policy is attached to my account, it should show up automatically. I shouldn't have to add it separately

This app needs to do a better job of displaying the car insurance proof card. It only allows you to download a PDF that you have to zoom in on to read. Other insurance apps do this much better. It also doesn't feel like a real app but more like a web applet presenter so it's not well formatted to the small screen. Most functions require you to download a PDF which is just lazy programming. Since the AO insurance cards come as barely preferated fragile printer paper, need app to supplement

Even when the app says biometrics is authenticated, it just sits on the sign in screen. The app never opens

Every single time I try to activate this app...all I get is the blue spining 'busy' circle. It takes for ever...it is plain ridiculous. All I want to do is pay my damn bill!!!! It is NOT my device or my service provider. It is this stinking app. It is the only app I have that gives me a problem...AND IT IS EVERY STINKING TIME!!!

Again this app did an update and it's even worse than the last update I had to do. You can't find nothing before at least everything had an easy to find category unlike now and I still can't always login.

Loaded app and tried to sign up. Got page not available message. Paused VPN app and tried again. Got same not available message. Deleted app.

Before the update the app and website were useful. You could pull up current information about your policies and see current bills and outstanding balances. Now all I get are links to download PDFs of policies and bills, none of them showing adjusted bills after vehicle changes more than a week ago.

The updated app doesn't allow the current total balance for the term to be seen in main screen. I need to know what I'm paying and what I owe in plain sight. This allows for hidden fees and adjustments to go unnoticed. 1 Star

NO APP. had the app. it disappeared, tried to get it back on Google play and it says installed, NOT THERE, Google sucks.

Decent insurance company. They need to train their agents to all their products so they could be offered. Would have saved me thousands of dollars! If you have a brand new auto less than 2 years old Make sure you ask for price guarantee rider. Or you could end up losing thousands of dollars

I love love love my insurance and this app. I have been with for about 5 yrs now. Moved states and took them with me. Best customer service ever. I even had a car stolen and they took very good care of me. I will never leave them even if I found cheaper insurance

Easy to use app. Just wish there was a way to see a break down on what you're paying instead of a lump sum.

No apple pay, no Google wallet. Doesn't show all your policies nor when they are due for renewal unless you are within 4 weeks or at all if they are recently paid. Difficult to navigate.

I paid the amount that the app told me to and because it was a "short amount" according to them they canceled my insurance. I was without insurance for over a month before I found out. No phone calls no snail mail. And the one email they sent me ended up in the spam. They refused to reinstate my insurance even though I sent them screenshots of the payment history. The payment amounts on the app were ALWAYS confusing.

App permissions wrong, does not ask for ability to access/store files, so you are unable to download documents like ID cards. Have to login to a web browser instead.

I have a Samsung S8 android and a Samsung Z Flip android. The app on the S8 shows Location and Storage permissions. The app on the Z Flip shows only Location permission. Therefore, documents will not download to the Z Flip. I have not found the Z Flip Storage permission place to allow changes. Help?

Keeps timing out, I'm connected to WiFi, I was able to get on once, it made sure to take money from us without timing out though! 🤦

When you try multiple times to get on, it isn't good experience. I hope the app isn't a reflection of the insurance. I'm uninstalling no need to tell me to call support as others have been told. Just fix your app.

This app doesn't work right ones you actually sign up it doesn't allow you to actually login.. and i do like auto owners insurance. Yet i'll stay with paper.. i tried to resign up because I did mistake but i couldn't i even called to talk to Rep and still no luck.. So paper is the way to go any ways..

I see i am not the only person having log in issues. Well 1st off i messed up and couldn't correct it i called of mistake. But still not able to uses this app so i will just stay paper with.. i really wanted to look at just my account but i see that's not going to work. Thank you to the caller on trying to help. App glitches a lot and doesn't allow me to login after the first attempt OnePlus 8T. Contacted the Tech team and said it was my outdated OS on phone that's know for issues (Android 11, upgraded to Android 12). Same issues, glitches and drains the battery like it is it's job. This better be worth the discount. Costing me a phone in the long run.

Update: Still have issues signing in but figured out a work around that works on my phone. 5 stars if I didn't have to do this. Unable to sign in. I continue to receive a timeout error. I loved this app until two or three weeks ago when this started happening. I now have to log-in through my browser and hope for the best. I sometimes get the same message there but I can usually get in after three tries. I'm unable to get in through the app at all.

Constantly loads and leaves a connection time out message. I called tech support and had no idea that there was a problem. Fix your app or make better one.

Piece of junk. I click to make a payment and it doesn't do anything (not the first time). It's an annoying waste of time trying to get this junk app let you click a button and have something actually happen.

I'm new to auto owners and I've only been able to log into the app one time in the last 2 months. It just sits and spins and then says connection timed out - please fix this bug because what's the point of going paperless if the app never works?

I've only been able to use the app a few times. All the others it just say network timeout retry. I've been unable to use sign in for awhile. It's absolute useless.

The app used to work flawlessly. Every since the update I can't log in or reset password. Very annoying and doesn't work at all now.

Tried to use the login I have for my computer. It refused to let me log in. Tried to create a new account and it wouldn't let me reuse my email address. Tried to log in with the computer credentials. Still wouldn't let me in. I can log in on my computer just fine. Pointless app.

Tried to sign up-first time. Mistyped zip code, corrected it, now says policy number was already entered by another account. Locked out. Now I have to call them. Don't like having my time wasted.

They reached out to me right away, asking to help, so I updated there review to 3 stars. Still getting error Always Get error on startup err::name_not_resolved. Cannot use app at all

Useless! Tried to login said wrong info. Tried to sign up said email address already in use. Tried again said to many attemts to login yup 3 trys failed each time. 0 stars should be available on the app store. Looked at other reviews and I'm not alone. Others with the same problem told to contact developer. Why use the app store for their app if you have to contact the developer to use it?? SMH

Downloaded the app but cannot log in. Submitted my email 3 times to re-set password but have never received an email to be able to re-set my password.

This is a buyer beware story. Their $800 mistake has cost us exponential damage and we have to pay back their "system glitch" on our backs while they casually act as though it's not a hardship. I am deeply disappointed and will leave the Company after the payment plan is completed. So sad since we have loved this Company for many years. It's unfortunate they don't make any monetary concessions for their shortcomings. 7/2020-the measly $100 is insulting for the amount of damage done by YOU.

Junk app will not let you log into app after you have activated your information, maybe it just hacked into my phone. Time will tell

One of the best business apps that I've had the pleasure of using. Clearly laid out, with reliable performance and easily accessible documents and payment methods.

For the past 3 or 4 months, it falls to log in SEVERAL times. Says "error name not resolved" I've emailed them with this & have no response. It's very frustrating.

They will go so far out of their way to screw over customers and not pay out claims. Absolutely the worst insurance agency you could ever go with. If you are an independent agent, do not quote with them. They won't pay out claims and cause problems for every single one of their clients. They even charge their agents to pay customers bills over the phone.

We like Auto Owners as a insurance company but don't rely on the app to tell you the truth about your bill. Trusting it caused us to lose our insurance with them. When Covid hit the app kept telling us we had a balance of 0 for a few months so we assumed it was because of the covid, but it wasn't. When we finally seen a bill come up it was for a lump sum which caught my wife and I off guard and eventually we lost insurance with them. Again the company themselves are great. The app needs work.

I can't even open the app. It closes every time I click on the icon. I cleared the cache, uninstalled, and reinstalled. It still does closes.

Can't launch the app - it immediately minimizes on launch on a Note 10+. No support at all. Tried uninstall/re-install, clear cache, etc and no luck. Can't rate an app that won't load.

Both my fiance and I are on the same policy. I installed the app but because he had already installed the app it wouldn't let me utilize it because the policy number had already been used. If there is more than one person on a policy both people should be able to use the app with different passwords.

I try to login and every time it takes me to the forgot my password screen. I reset it and it didn't work either. Update: fixed. Had to restart phone.

I have been trying to get into the app to setup our account, But it will not let me. I have deleted and reinstalled the app and the same thing. I was hoping this app would work, being my son is in College and when I get new cards I would not have to mail them to him. Wish it could of worked out!!😕
