Terrible experience and I don't recommend them to anyone. They're dishonest, manipulative, and overpriced, and it's ALL a scam to begin with. You don't need to respond, because I don't care what you have to say.

I was told it takes 24hrs. it has been 3 months. save yourself the trouble. its not worth it.

False advertising. Far more expensive than other insurance. Upfront cost seems lias but they will literally expect your premiums every 2 weeks. $250+ for one car every 2 weeks. You do the math. A complete scam.

I put my name first as the policy's name to be under but when I go into the listed company's it's my wife's name as the policy's name holder

I have for 1 mo,then find ins cheaper, I try and cancel (3 phone calls, still they wouldn't cancel) then I get a threatening notice "pay or end up in collections" (for next month covg, NOT PREV MO).call again to cancel, I have other ins.still didnt cancel. Then get my credit rpt, Ocho listed as negative acct $43 on credit rpt for the NEXT MO THAT I DIDNT NEED COVG. I am trying to buy house. CUST SERV IS NON-EXISTENT AT OCHO . $43 IS MORE IMPORTANT AND BOTTOM LINE, DO NOT BUY OCHO!THEY DONT CARE!

Not recommended quoted one price ($119 a monthly) great. After docs were signed price went up double ($338 monthly) not great. A horrible ripoff app that got me at the end of their sale.

I call them several times and no one answer the phone, it keep saying sorry we miss your call we open Monday-Saturday 6am to 6pm , It's after where I'm at and no still don't answer the phone, but they charge my card, but never provided me with no insurance

This app did help me access auto insurance. But it wasn't cheap. It turned out to be very expensive. It was due every two weeks. It showed a balance owed for the next 6 months. I thought well maybe its double charged six months for a whole year policy. That wasnt the case. After I finished paying the balance for 6 months. A new balanced was written. I said wth. So I found a way more affordable policy. I canceled the policy with Ocho. unaware of a remaining balance. They sent that to the creditor

ive been waiting months to add another car to my insurance, ive called to remind them because clearly they're too incompetent to remember and still even tho I have submitted all the info I still haven't been helped, I will not be renewing with this company and I do not recomend then, ill just stick with local companies because they at least make an effort when it comes to the customer service

u guys don't offer credit card payment please fix it otherwise u will lose customers who can't pay by debt card but credit card

I had a car and the engine locked up. So the car was no good. I called this company spoke to A representative told them that if I could not get the car fixed, which I knew I could not that I wasn't going to renew. My policy was up for renewal and I did not renew nor did I sign any paperwork. I get a bill for $298 saying that I was covered.How was I covered when I had no car?It's a ripp off .I explained it over and over again , and they still want me to pay two hundred and ninety eight dollars

half the time it crashes or says there's no information available and that's not good when you use the app to show your insurance ID card take me to fix it ASAP

first of all it wouldnt take my payment from my card and I dont know why it didnt then, it was due on Monday well I get paid on Monday why they didnt wven wait til the end of Monday before they canceled my whole thing like these people couldnt wait.

App continues to crash I was double charged and when I tried to cancel and get my money back they kept me on hold for over an hour purposely not answering the phone. taking a broker fee of 150 for a policy that was canceled same day and never used. Predatory lending taking advantage of people and practicing unethical ways in their company. I was promised a refund by 9.30 am. I have been dealing with them since March 22nd trying to be understanding but mt 200 dollars has been held hostage.

they lie from the jump my credit score 621 say$0 down that a lie they give 4/5+ insurance quotes that all say $0 its all a lie after you see that it tells u Ai found 2 others you mit be interested in and it gives you no way around it! it said $0 to start! it immediately went $199 down payments when it was $0 and then it want me to $51 every 2 weeks. so why im i charged $199 that 2 months of insurance.to only turn around and pay $51 in 2 weeks that makes no sense Especially.when it started off 0

I've had some of the same as others comments, I've seen the quotes, to me they were high compared to other competitors, but I had spoken to one, and they told me that was they would run the numbers for me, I was confused, since I thought it went by what I see, but explained no it's just a quote, to make a long story short, the final from one company on here, was way....higher than the quote even showed 😳.

The preliminary quote was no down payment and $270/month, which they said would be finalized within the hour. Five hours later, the final quote is ready: down payment $500 and $350/month. No explanation, only option is to buy. Cute animations though.

I went threw hell with this company in the end of 2023 in December I needed auto insurance so I payed 100 bucks shortly after I paid I found out I was not approved any insurance I had no tickets no accidents.When I talk to sales rep over the phone he said he'll refund my 100 bucks he said it would take time like 2 weeks so I waited for two weeks nothing happened it took like a month or 2 to get I'm think this company is scam they don't honor anything just trying to keep your refund money!

Lost my business,due to continuing to charge me for a vehicle I no longer had in my possession. Talk to numerous reps who ensured me that they would make sure vehicle was taken off before next payment. Lied as just look a week before THEY canceled not me. Also the false advertisement states no money down, not true. Now I'm very happy with a company that truly understands their customers.

I was initially given 2 quotes then when I tried to accept 1 and pay for it, I was told they were checking prices again and made to wait for over an hour just to be told the couldn't process my application because the insurance rates were too high for them to finance. meanwhile I'm literally sitting at the dealership waiting on this insurance to be able to drive my new car home.

I'm with a reputable company just a lot less expensive!! This is no joke it's for real! If to you need a little more time to make it payment no problem they give you options! I was in need of car insurance that I could afford. Ocho was a savior to me. Now I'm fully insured, and I can actually relax in knowing I'm covered! A million thanks to Ocho! What a relief. Other insurances wanted my first born, my left arm and leg, and both feet. I hope their greed causes their stock to plunge.

No one speaks any English so its a battle to get any type of help. They double charge your card and then I have to fight to get my money back. terrible.

it would be great but the first time it accepted my zip code the when it comes to the verification code I tried about 15 times and never received anything. the CSM told me to check my spam messages did that still nothing... I really wish this would work

this app deserves 0 stars. this company is fraudulent. they will steal money without authorization and try to force you to pay even after cancelling. they will not refund anything, but they'll continue to demand payments even after cancelling your policy. I am reporting this company and their representatives to the better business bureau and to insurance regulators and anyone else that needs to know that this company is nothing but fraudulent thieves. Really liked them at 1st, pretty flexible, and allow you to extend the payment date but don't miss a payment or you'll be screwed! I had an unexpected emergency, passed out at the grocery store, found out I'm diabetic, ended up in hospital in a diabetic coma, missed payment by 1 day & price went from $91 to $242 because of a reinstatement fee, what's wrong with this world? Now I'm back to square 1 trying to find coverage 🫤

Contacted Ocho May 4, 2025 with change on policy and was told was working on change i would be contacted by May 6. No contact so called in on May 9th was told they see my request and issues with online system but documents would be sent later that evening or Saturday am. It is going to be Tuesday and still no updated documents. Very inconvenient and customers do not matter and they do not submit insurance compliance to Azdmv i just received a non compliance notification from Dmv .

I made my first payment with no issues. I've been trying to make a payment since last night and the app keeps closing. Very frustrating. I have tried everything from deleting the app and reinstalling it. It still won't work.

I signed up for the plan that is supposed to charge you once you get paid. however their system I guess is dumb and practically every charge was a few days before. Problematic since I live paycheck to paycheck like most of America. I swapped insurance companies because of this and now they're threatening to report me to the credit bureau. Didn't realize that car insurance companies could do that like what? terrible

At first, I thought they were scamming me because the down payment changed the next day. I got a supervisor on the phone, and she explained why and how it was not them. She then spent the next hour personally making it right. I still got my low down payment and no lapse in coverage. Excellent customer service!! I would recommend them to everyone. Thank you, Ocho!!

I was unable to change my auto pay method independently on the app, but even after having an ocho representative finalize the change, set it up (it clearly states "Auto pay" on the app next to the new payment method), I still had to manually process the payment. meanwhile after 24 hours of non-payment as a result of Ocho not functioning as it should, I have been informed that a letter cancelling my policy has been sent out. They have my money, but immediately threaten me. Garbage.

I am asking a question to the insured users of Ocho Holdings to please answer with info. Has any holder had to file a claim and can u share ur details and experience here please? I ask if a claim was properly, paid and was handled well & professionally & reasonable time limits such as a well known like Progressive. Does it pay if you have an accident and how quickly and is it handled well? Appreciate learning the relevant & important info I have not found on any review as of yet? thank you!

They really help you with the down payment on your insurance. If you cannot make your payment on time, they will gladly reschedule your due date. They are very flexible and I like paying every 2 weeks instead of monthly. I haven't had any issues with ocho. Everything has been easy and customer service is great. I don't understand why some people have given bad reviews. 5 stars!!!

I had issues with entering my address, and once the application started there was no way to restart the application. Also when I tried to enter my driver's license number and where I was issued my license it just would not allow me to type it in no matter what I press, got off my Wi-Fi reinstalled the app nothing. So that's basically useless

This was by far the best deal and when I missed my payment they were nice enough to call me and tell me it was due and give me a few days to come up with the payment

You don't have to pay the insurance cost to start but it's a trick because you do have to pay 160 for the "broker fee" before they insure your car.

they don't inform u there's $120 brokerage fee to insure, and then if you want to try canceling your stuff I literally have had it for like a week and a half and trying to cancel it now and they're trying to charge me $161 and then they're trying to charge me $57 twice a month for liability when I can get full coverage insurance for $130 a month which I would have done if I would have known that it was $57 twice a month when I was led to believe it was only $57 a month

App could potentially be a very useful one but i found that the quotes we're actually quite high and unreasonable for the amount of coverages and vehicles. The church a long time to receive back the quotes but usually I received back the quotes with the prices to buy policy at same day. I found gainsco insurance company was able to give me better rates.

Sifned up for insurance, paid deposit, have been waitong hours for my policy to activate after payment and it says it should take 30 minutes. Have been calling in and on hold for longer than 30 mins. Chat doesnt work. Very frusterated and worried i was scammed

This app is a scam you pay then they send you a text the insurance company raise the rate so you'll have to pay more before the insurance can be activated of course you never have insurance...UPDATE I still don't have a refund for my $148 I guess I'm just gonna have to accept it as a learning experience. Another update. 1 day after my 1st update to this review when I complained about still not getting refunded ocho finally refunded my money almost 2 months

Love the fact that if I'm going to be late I can set up a payment arrangement and still keep my insurance from being cancelled. I have had a very pleasant experience with ocho. Also like that I can pay for insurance every two weeks instead of monthly or every 6 months or yearly.

SCAM, missed a payment, the app told me to pay to reinstate my insurance. Now I don't have insurance because they took my money and canceled my policy a week after I paid them. I called and got ran in circles with no explanation or solutions.DO NOT RECOMMEND. I've reported the charge to my bank

Very disorganized. No one returns calls. I have my payments set for auto pay and it doesn't work. I've reached out multiple times to have this issue fixed with no results. I also joined Ocho to help build my credit with on-time payments and there's no history of this either. The only good thing about this insurance is that you are able to pay bi-weekly.
