LOTS OF MINORS IN THIS APP !!!! I have matched with girls on here who's profile shows legal age, but as soon as the Chat is transitioned onto SMS/RCS or Snapchat. they tell me they're a minor, I have to report two minors already... tired of my time being wasted bro 😒 match group, I hope you answer my email report against the second minor I reported and you guys take appropriate steps to prevent this stuff from further occurring.

I cant get past the second page where it asks how soon you want to get married. I answer the question of where I would want to live and the app just closes. Every time.

Don't waste your money on this app fellas. The paid version isn't any better than the free version. All my matches were left swipes or people that were hundreds of miles away. If you're going to spend money on dating apps don't waste your time or money on this one. I'll be deleting my profile as soon as my month is up . This App will match you with people you did not like and will push people on you "you may hit it off" and those people will try to scam you as soon as you take it off the app and send you child porn and try to run a scam on you. 2 girls they pushed to me sent me nudes within 5 minutes that I didn't ask for. Then they will stop talking to you and a random number will call you saying "my daughter tried to commit suicide, how can we handle this medical bills are expensive". Reported it to the FBI.

Have been locked out of my account for 8 months and trying to figure out how to stop my subscription. Also had multiple people tried to scam me on that site. It has unfortunately been a very poor experience.

Hungry money grab. The only dating app I have used that requires you to pay 20 dollars for a week to see who has liked you. The distance filter does NOT work. Not even once. I put 20 miles as my max distance and it applied the filter and I immediatley got shown a profile 135 miles away. Stay away.

I tried to sign up with my phone number. double and triple check my number but it did not accept it. update. it's been a couple years since my last review. I tried it again and was able to make an account with my phone number. I'm still not very impressed with this app. profiles take way too long to load. you have to turn your location on and leave it on at all times which is annoying. there's no way to search for profiles.

I have been on the app for far too long. Recently they made a great change allowing you to see the people who liked you instead of playing this stupid game of guessing who likes you. But they just reverted back to the old way today. hiding everyone that likes you behind a paywall. They aren't interested in getting you into a relationship, they just want your money. And boy do they charge you a bunch of money if you do literally anything, it's predatory.

The pricing model feels predatory. Users receive notifications that someone likes them, but seeing who it is requires a paid subscription. I understand that apps need to generate revenue, but locking basic features behind a paywall makes it unnecessarily difficult to connect with others. The distance preferences are also frustrating. Despite setting my maximum distance to 60 miles, I frequently get shown profiles over 200 miles away. I believe the app would benefit from more transparent pricing

The app cares more about money than the values it pretends to value for the people using it. It is a money grab, plain and simple; it is always trying to sell you something and will get in the way of making matches in order to achieve that.I have had matches that I have been able to like for over a month, but don't worry, it's quick to tell me if I pay for premium I can see who they are.

I signed up with my phone number and filled out all the info and got everything started. Later in the day I tried to log back in and received an error. I reached out to customer service and they said my account does not exist and they won't help me. I can't recreate my account because my # generates an error. I guess they don't want me to use it.

It would be better if it actually showed profiles within my set distance. Even when I have my distance set, with the deal breaker option checked, it will still show profiles outside of said distance. This is not ideal for people who don't want to do long distance.

like others said, the app ran for 5 minutes then I was banned without warning or reason. For the first 5 minutes it seemed decent though! The customer service is also a joke. I contacted them and they referred me to an online form. I filled it out, and still haven't heard back. Maybe others will have luck, but it's hard to use an app you were permanently banned from without warning or reason.

not the best experience here. you can MAYBE get some matches but you're gonna need to drive an extra hour than usual because everyone is 100+ miles away. the juice is not worth the squeeze

Don't waste your time creating a profile I created a profile and verified myself just to be immediately banned for "violating community standards." that I didn't violate. When I reached out to support, they replied the decision is final and they would no longer reply to anything I sent. I think this review process needs work. I did not violate any standard, I was not provided an explanation, and told I wouldn't be replied to after taking the time to create a profile, I deserved a true response.

Made an account 1 day later banned for violating terms and conditions, when asking support for additional info on what exactly I violated. "decision remains unchanged, will not respond to further inquiries" Okay, I wasn't asking for a further ban appeal just info on what terms or conditions I violated. Poor support.

I dont see how seen as how I literally had just created the account and set up my profile. would not recommend this app at all.

I was banned for simply creating an account. Before I had a chance to complete my profile, I got a notification that my account was banned. I reached out to the customer service, and a week later they said that I violated their terms and conditions. "And the decision is final". How so? By uploading my pictures? Uninstalled the app today. I wanted try to use it but I cant even see 1 like. It would have been better if we have to view even 1 like a day. All the messaging can be limited per day and atleast let people verify first before they can contact anyone and then that would be safer for users.

When you first install and load up the app, it asks for your email or phone. Even if you click the "Use Email" option, you still have to put in your phone number

This app really doesn't work well AT ALL. You set a distance from your location to look for profiles in your area. It doesn't matter what you set, the app doesn't really take any of your preferences into consideration. I get profiles over a thousand miles away constantly. What is the point of that?

wow this app is crazy broken!! It demands location, then says that's not good enough you must turn on precise location, then says that's STILL not good enough and you must allow permissions for a very precise tracking tool! Then after all that it finally made me start all over with my phone number and kept giving me error messages because obviously I already used my number already! But it won't let me bypass the sign up screen with phone number! Can't even use this dang app it's broken!!!

Upward is a terrible app. There are too many fake, porn accounts with nasty messages. Upward tries too hard to be like Tinder. Real christians aren't using this app. They allow FanDuel and Tinder to advertise. They're expensive. They don't deserve your money. Their new app UI is underdeveloped and clunky, they're overpriced and a scam. This was a Christian app but now they allow users to have agnostic and spiritual but not religious labels. This use to be a Christian app but not anymore. Now every religion is on it, as well as options for cults, and atheists. Way to ruin the app and take away the one good option Christian's had for a dating app. And it wasn't because they care, it's because they want to make more money.

Only been using it a few days and it's ok so far but the location filters dont work. I have mine set to 50mi and all I keep seeing are people from 500miles away. It is very bugy, the notifications are nonstop, and it glitches constantly. It needs a LOT of work.

Login issues. Created my profile and it crashes. Tried login back in and nothing. Uninstalled and installed the app again, still nothing. Reached out to the customer support and much worse. They claimed they couldn't find my account with the info provided (I even gave screenshots showing the requests). Was asked if I paid a subscription and the moment they knew I didn't, they lost interest in helping me out and dismissed me. Totally recommend if you want to waste your time.

The app is very pricey for what you get. The UI for the chat is also prone to bugs. I didn't like how the notification that someone texted you doesn't work and one of my chats deleted most of the text history overnight. Too expensive for a bugged app.

I had tried this app a couple of years ago. Thought I would try again. Unfortunately, out of the 6 matches I had in about 5 days, 4 of them were scammers. How do I know? Same basic background, vague answers, very similar jobs, wanting to jump immediately to WhatsApp. When confronting the last two, they unmatched or blocked me. Don't waste your money. Also, the distance and age filter thing others talk about still exist. The 'app support' email address is fake too.

$22 for a week subscription is beyond theft. another issue is that Someone liked me and was put in the "likes" section and I liked them back through the normal swiping but because I don't have a subscription, it won't let us chat because she's hard locked in the "likes" section.

The new UI is horrible. Makes it hard to swipe. Freezes and glitchy, I can't even use it now. I pressed like about 29 times and nothing.. Not going to bother with this app anymore. Update: You do have an active bug. On the first time it opens, on a brand new day, after a pop-up, the swipe left or like buttons do nothing. You literally have to close the app and reopen it to make it work. Edit: the bug happens after the "increase your likes" pop-up. I've given you enough info to fix this.

only2 stars cause after 1 day use i got banned. it doesnt directly tell you that your banned i had to google to figure it out. only rule i could of broke was that I forgot i had a VPN on while trying to login. (i use a VPN for tv/movies) I sent in a request for fixing.over a week for response to fill out a diffrent form (i follwed the webiste for who to email btw) explained situation, asked if it was vpn and if could unban, was told no and no explanation on vpn. lack of communication just stupid

I would not recommend this app. Only matches me with people too far away. Clearly there are no single men in my State. You have to pay more for actual preferences. Fake profiles are very discouraging. Thank goodness I only joined for 1 month.

I had the app for one hour, then as I'm on it, it logs me out, won't let me log back in, says something is wrong try again each time. Now I have an account on there just collecting dust. I don't want any of my photos out there that I don't have access to. My account needs to be deleted off of there if the app won't give me access to it.

Horrible and stupid experience. I started to make an account and was banned. I hadn't even finished making my account...BANNED FOR NO REASON. My assumption is the previous owner of my phone number was banned but I havent had it that long and first time using the app. The customer service was non existent and offered no explanation. I appealed it and was told to wait. VERY CHRISTIAN AND CASTING JUDGEMENT

The filter mean practically nothing. Distance, preferences, age...about the only thing that does seem to matter is that setting the lower age boundary does seem to be observed. Everything else? Doesn't matter at all. Most suggestions are over 100 miles away, all the time. Practically worthless. Update: they added "deal breakers" to the filter. It doesn't do anything, but it's there.

General trash experience in your typical Match Group "dating" app BUT it did manage to fool Christians like me. Until last last week when they rolled out their October update. All of a sudden I see my feed FLOODED with single mothers (18 with 2 kids type shi) and chicks often covered in more tattoos than clothes. Not free. You have to pay to chat & read messages. It doesn’t give you an option to pick people close by within your area. You have to upgrade to be able to pick your preferences. A lot of the profiles have fake people's pictures.

I only downloaded this because it copied over my Tinder profile. There's not enough users on the app and it constantly shows people outside of the maximum distance set, even when made a deal breaker. Honestly, just use Tinder, because everyone they've shown is already there. Also, the initial messaging feature is stupid when only paid members will see it if you haven't matched yet.

Awful app, most profiles are fake or AI, and when a real profile arrives you can't see their profile again. Not a huge amount of people are using this app, so you can't find matches and every feature requires you to pay another amount, which is usually above £20. Avoid this app and save your self s lot of stress.

I was invited to join this app from tinder, and less than 24 hours later I got banned without any notice and I hadn't even talked to anyone or matched with anyone. I reached out to customer support and they took a week to respond, all they said was I violated the ToS when I asked them for an explanation of how I did, they just said that they won't give any reason and will not respond to me any further. The people running this app are a joke. would not recommend using it or spending any money.

With basic skills you can pull matches location. I used this to send thoughtful cards until I realized that it was creepy and stopped. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. I downloaded Upward, completed my profile, added pictures, and clicked “Create Account.” I was immediately logged out and told to contact support. Support sent me to appeals, who said I violated their Terms. When I asked what I violated, they said they couldn’t find any information or tell me what rule I broke, yet the ban was PERMANENT. I hadn’t even used the app! Absolutely ridiculous and a huge red flag. Think twice before giving this app your information.

I paid for 6 months and have been using it for 2 weeks. The ones who like me first don't chat. 99% of the guys are 150-200 miles away. The only 2 I've seen so far within 50 miles are 15 years younger and want more children. No reasonable possibilities here.

This app is a scam since it requires payment at the very beginning. Usually an app allows three free messages and an overview of each other. But this app won't let the users see anything before a payment.

Swiping left seems to not matter. The app continues to show the same people to me over and over who have already been declined. Also, when I accept a match with someone, even if there's been no communication it says it's now my turn to start the conversation and the notification bubble won't go away, even if I click in and out of the chat. So I'm constantly thinking there's new activity but it's just the app telling me it's "your turn" to message someone.

You have to pay to keep your swipes. Every time I log in its my first day of a 7 day streak (even if I had just opened it an hour earlier), and when I swipe right it tells me that it is my first ever like. I keep swiping through the same 40 people, and most seem to not be there at all. Bots and scams

it helps you find people you like problem is you have to pay to reasonably connect with them! this doesnt even appear christian by nature as it promotes same gender relationships! and recently they just removed the ability to see what denomination/beliefs you have from your main profile unless described inside the profile

I love the app, just a small suggestion/request, in your filter options you can either filter by distance or by in the same country but not both at the same time and as someone who lives like literally 20 min from the Canadian boarder it means I just almost 85% Canadian girls that come up if I search greater than 15mi away, could you add maybe a checkable box on the page where you select how many miles you wanna see matches for that way I can see my country only but also within a certain range.

It has plenty of glitches, requiring restarts, and reverifying my account, but the most insidious problem is that it claims to be Christian, but hides likes on your profile in order to keep you swiping and using the app rather than prioritizing matching you with someone. Terrible. Profit over Christian matchmaking, am I right "matchgroup"?

Even when you pay for the highest tier you still get adds for other apps. Lots of accounts are bots I've blocked the same people 3 times before. Distance filter doesn't really work you have people 200 miles away even if if yours is set at 50 as a "deal breaker". You don't get notifications half the time when you get a message.

it's not really a "christian" dating app like they advertise. it's more of a dating app with a heavy focus on beliefs.

it's a very nice app. based around Christianity. easy to use.

it would be great if you didn't have to buy premium to get matches. it will show you that you've got likes but you will never see them just swiping. you have to pay to see who likes you just so you can get a match.

I paid for a month subscription and can't see my likes. They want me to pay again despite my subscription not being done yet. There are catfish on there too.

This is a horrible dating app. The profile design is okay but kind of clunky, but the big issue is that the filters don't work at all, so you have to mindlessly swipe forever in the hopes that you might stumble across someone near you who meets your preferences. And then you can't message them unless you've matched, so you have to cross your fingers and hope they stumble across you too before giving up in frustration.

After only a few days on here, I found myself kicked out and couldn't get back in. Figured they were having issues, try later. Same thing next day though, could not log in. Finally found an email in my spam folder that my account had been deleted and suspended due to rule violation for graphic violent content. WHAT?!?! Obviously a pathetic bot mistake and I can't even fathom what the bots thought were anything remotely like that?!?! Emailed customer service, no response. Ridiculous nonsense!

Way too many unnecessary pay walls. A "Christian" app shouldn't be so greedy and manipulative.

I created an account and the very next time I tried to open the app, it completely signed me out and kept saying "try again later." I had already created a detailed profile and started searching! The concept is good, but the app is not well crafted.

Fine app, normal swipe design decently large user base. For some reason they allow atheist, agnostic and spiritual but not religious tags on an ostensibly Christian app, which loses at least one star from me.

um I'm not currently happy with the price I think it's a little much. so right now I'm unsure I haven't had many matches but I will give it a try since I heard good things.

I paid for a Platinum membership and within about 48 hours encountered serious problems with profile and location information. One match reported seeing no photos or profile information, along with an incorrect name and location. I also encountered inappropriate explicit content. I canceled within 48 hours and contacted Upward multiple times with detailed explanations and screenshots, but have received no meaningful response. Very disappointing for a Christian dating app.

if I have "99+" likes you'd think ID MATCH MORE OFTEN...but no. So I'm led to believe you all inflate people's likes to give an allusion of them so a person wants to stay....that's gross.

Features I had when I first joined are no longer working. I've put in two support tickets, and haven't gotten an answer in almost 2 weeks. It's funny, you sure have no problem spamming my inbox with all the reasons I should give you money to use your app... but you can't be bothered to keep the app functioning properly or answer support requests. Do not recommend.

I was going to download the app as a christian looking for other christians who are looking to find a christian. then I realized this app has shifted from being a christian app to now other faiths such as Islam. Buddhist etc. I deleted it.

App is decent for looking for relationship matches, very similar to other companies (even has advertisements for the matchmaking companies I wasn't interested in the first place), a lot of features are hidden behind a pay wall. The WORST is the customer service, or lack thereof. After a perfunctory "troubleshooting" email, I have had NO response after a week of daily check-ins on my issue, which was their messaging feature had a conversation "disappear" without warning. Still no response yet!
