I love PayPal's features like a savings account, savings goals, and the monthly category choice for cash back on debit purchases. However, I hate the app's new layout. I feel lost, like I'm scrolling through a sea of ads. Obviously, they aren't ads, but it IS PayPal trying to get me to spend money at all these high-dollar partnered merchants. It's tone deaf in a time when the cost of living is outrageous, and people are barely getting by. Just let me manage my money in peace, please.

why send a code to my email if you then want to send a code to a phone number I don't even use or have available anymore. hackers have easier access to our stuff than we do you dumb tards.

worst customer service ever:/ even after sending all the details they needed, they still continued to deactivate my account. when I tried to reach out for a live agent they sent me the same copy pasted message telling me that it cannot be appealed and they won't even tell me the reason why

the new set up on the app is a little confusing. I ended up sending a stranger a whole bunch of money, thinking I was sending it to my friend. it never said to go and look at all of the people with the same name to make sure I was giving the right one, but you would think that just the email I had used the previous time would be the right one. I don't know any other person with that name. all I was told was so sorry. I'm not a happy camper.

It's frustrating and stressful because it's my own money, and I need it for my daily expenses. Waiting six months to withdraw my hard-earned money is unacceptable. There is no way to log out of the app on my android phone other than clearing your cache and forcing a stop. Very cluttered and the interface is a bit rubbish. Glad I rarely use it.

it is a scam, took my money easily, shows on PayPal main balance but cannot transfer even to PayPal or to bank account. customer service is very unhelpful, saying try again in 72 hours, why holding my money for 72 hours? even then no clue if my money will return. Never using PayPal again in my life again, I'll recommend everyone I meet to never use it in their life.

I try to make my account working again but they keep banned me,even though i already do everystep and hand them my id card as they say and now all my 9.88 dollar are still freeze and I think they will take advantage of it because they say "you violate the system" 😕

Awful app and even worse service. they restricted my account without giving a reason and are currently withholding my money PAST their claimed withholding period if 180 days. Their customer service is non-existing; there are no emails to contact and the live agents are never available. They do not even try to make things easier for customers.

I didn't get it. PayPal didn't want me to login, my number isn't working on this app. My phone was just lagging that time and didn't send a code and suddenly I couldn't login on this app. I'm so disappointed.

PayPal is not longer PayPal. Not only do they share ypur information but every single time I try to go on there I have to change my password plus PayPal approves things now so it's easier fo4 scammers

One star is too generous. The latest PayPal redesign is a disaster. Sending money is buried behind tabs and extra taps instead of having a search bar up front. Even when I find someone, their full email address isn't clearly displayed, so I can't verify who I'm paying. That's unacceptable in a payment app. Meanwhile, the home screen is packed with ads and offers while basic functions are hidden. PayPal has sacrificed usability and confidence for marketing. Bring back the old interface!

The change to this apps UI & Layout in recent months was wholly unnecessary & whoever green lit these changes needs to undo them. The old layout was simple & straight forward in giving you details about things such as your bank activity, invoices or other useful financial needs. Now? It feels like i'm navigating an godawful glorified browser page, with all these advertisements and "store pages" This is uncalled for enshittification & clustering. please stop.

it's broken. I cannot login into my account for 2 days. It sends me a code on email and phone, I wirte it and it says "check again". I wirte it again, it says "an error occured". I choose different method and again "an error occurred". I need to email support just to login.

never used to have a problem with paypal but for awhile i wasnt gonna use paypal so i just closed the account for good, but when i wanted to reopen paypal and use it again i created a new account and my old account was closed deleted for good for months they decided for no reason to completely ban me from paypal due to suspicious activity when all i did was sign up again for a new account after closing the old one months ago before i tried making a new one. such complete bs. do not use paypal.

the new design is making the app load longer. it used to be fast and reliable. now it takes 30 seconds from clicking the app to working. it's loading the logging in.. then ask for fingerprint.. then logging in.. than loading.. and then rendering the app. I use this for business and there's not a single app that takes 30 seconds to load.

Stick to a normal brick and mortar bank. They at least care about their clients. The people who represent PayPal ( customer service ) are no where near a banker or even a teller for that matter. horrible app said they would give me a 20 dollar refund if I link my bank account then sent my transfer to a buddy whos helping me out with food and stuff because I Still havent got my card from them and its been weeks or months since I ordered it. then they sent my transfer to the wrong place and won't fix it even though they know they easily can. this app is just a scam and trash use any other online banking you can like cash app or venmo way way better. Their help support acts like AI as well

Worst app ever. I had an issue with a vender and immediately reached out to PayPal for a resolution and refund. I have been waiting 2 weeks and now I'm being told I have to wait 3 weeks to receive my refund of 14.99. PayPal has done very little to help resolve this issue. If any vendor only uses PayPal for payment that vendor will never get my business.! 👿🤬

Hard to find my payment activity. Really hard to find my payment history with a person. Even if I find the last time someone paid me, clicking on their name or profile does nothing. But I can find the ads super easily, don't you worry about that. Just can't easily use the app for the only things I need it to do. 🙄

The new layout is too difficult to navigate and find what your looking for anymore. used to like it, but not anymore. I try to avoid using it anymore bc of the newer layout. It's like a search and find game now!

it all ads and offers. there are so many advertisements and offers. 95% of the screen space is taken up by offers. there is one small box to actually see your account. if I didn't need this app to authorize purchases on android, I would not use it at all!

PAYPAL IS GOING DOWNHILL. DO NOT USE PAYPAL. In the past if you made an online purchase and it turned out the merchant was a fraudulent scammer, if you immediately called PayPal you could stop the transaction. But PayPal has eliminated that option. Your only recourse now is to file a "PayPal Dispute", which is meaningless, they don't do a damn thing. Also most Paypal representatives don't speak English well. And PayPal eliminated supervisors, so you can't get one when there's a problem.

Tried to set up verification for Crypto purchase and transfer, took way too long, and only resolved after contacting customer support. THEN after I was able to get BTC, which I was using for a 20$ subscription that no longer used credit/debt, I was told the *minimum* transfer amount was ~78$ of BTC. I spent nearly a week waiting and jumping through hoops to basically be told to screw off, we can't, and won't help you. Rated 2 stars for visibility, but it should be 1 star.

PalPay has become hot garbage. Just had to delete my app so I could pay an invoice. Like would only open app on phone but invoice could only be paid on browser. That coupled with TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE over the last few years, I have no use for it and would not recommend. Used to be the only game in town but now there are many far superior options.

I tried to send money to my friend in Kenya for work he did to help me, and without proof or evidence Paypal up and decided he was a scammer and froze his account, making him lose 1 month of money to support his family, and cutting him off from an avenue of income. horrible app, glitched out 3 times and is holding my $ in limbo for 3 days. Holding 3 charges for the same amount, can't update my information in the app. the item I was trying to purchase was on sale 50%, it sold out, and my money is still tied up in limbo. Can't talk with anyone or get any help. My bank can't do anything. So waiting 3 days for a BNPY for a product that's not even available. This should have just been solved by now, every other company has this fixed within 24 hrs.

Can no longer sign into the app. The log in view shows empty input field for phone/email that I cannot interact with. The button at the bottom shows a loading spinner constantly. After couple of seconds the app shows a small tooltip 'sign in request cancelled by paypal'... I'm using the latest version of the app, cleared cache but no luck... I can't even use the web page on the phone because it forces the app to open instead of continuing in the browser.
