doscover app was better

easy to use

It's a garbage app made by a 5-year-old. it doesn't have any integration. it's AI sucks. literally have to call the company to make a payment regardless or it just says pending for 2 months and then you get late fees there's absolutely no way to pay your bill.

All the information I need to keep up on my account

Intentionally more convoluted and confusing than the discover app. Why am I being forced to use the Capitol one app when everyone else I know that has a discover card still uses the discover app.

since I've been banking Capital One my credit has improved greatly.

Nov 2026: New edit to my review since latest app update... Still love CapOne but the app is now more inconvenient for biz users. One ex, you can only pay one bill at a time, & after each one you gotta start over. Jan 2019: Updating my review since CapOne updated this app... All issues have been resolved and it works much better now. And also, now I can track all my CapOne accounts in one app. So convenient! This is why I stick with this company, because they really do listen to their customers.

DO NOT USE THIS CARD!! THEY TOOK A PAYMENT OF 300 FROM ME AND THEN TURN ED AROUND AND REPOETED ME CLAIMING I DID NOT PAY THEM!! HURTING MY CREDIT BY LYING WHILE LEAVING ME SHORT 300 FOR NO REASON!!! JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH CAPITOL ONE AND THEY DO NOT CARE AND BLAME THE CREDIT WISE THEY USE FOR THE FALSE REPRT!!!

not real thrilled with the fact that it won't work with a privacy "App Tracker Blocker" running. and now it will barely deposit a check unless I have someone else hold a flashlight for me. time to dump capital one.

The apps is mandatory since Capital One can't be bothered to fix their website so you can make a payment that way. So get this app as a work around for their incompetence.

Was forced to migrate to this app since Capital One ate Discover. Payment works fine, but being constantly deluged by advertising while trying to get to payment options is disgusting. Am actually considering canceling my card because of the egregious ads making it take longer to do what the app is for. FFS, I literally give you money every month; do you greedy hogs really need the extra from ads?

I would actually give it like - 5 , cause I got approved for card n 300 credit than had to submit both sides of id n selfie once verified my card was mailed got card 7 days later activated my card made a small purchase under $20.00 and unless than an hr my account got restricted and have to verify myself again my address and my bank statements was told so they know it's me but first very rude people ,I'm being told this is to id me but my state id must not be OK with a selfie of me holding said

The service is very good; I actually have not taken time to really benefit extensively from this app, Iam working on it.

lost 30 points with your credit score versus discover an when I go to Walmart spend 250 dollars on groceries an 2 dollars on a spatula I get put in to merchandise with 0.25 instead of 1 5 percent lost lots of money thanks

Want to check my balance? Easy. Want to add or change my pin on my card? Not so much. Gives error every time. But it's not worth it to drop rating further than 4 stars for something that minor.

Very user friendly. I can easily take care of my banking needs with this app. I would highly recommend Capital One as a banking institution.

Works, biometric sign-in is nice. This used to be 5 stars but now they constantly push debt consolidation, even though I have no debt. They also constantly ask you to get their dumb coupon discount extension.

Love the fingerprint authorization. Hate that sometimes I can't see things like minimum payment. (On the min payment, I can normally see it, but not when my account is flagged as "needs attention" - precisely when I need that information) correct that for five stars. Edit after developers response : Dropped one more star from the rating. I don't want to talk to someone to see basic information about my account. If I want to talk to someone, I have the number

Trying log in using the same credentials I've been using for the last 10 years. Says password is incorrect. Asks for CVV but asks for Capital 1 details when I'm trying to log in with Discover so I can't log in that way either. so it asked me if I want to verify another method. Yes, but it ONLY offers CVV. so I cannot log in to pay my Discover bill.

does not work on GrapheneOS. even tho other banks work fine. wish they would address tjis.

New here Discover merger, the apps are night and day. A lot of the conveniences that the Disc App offered aren't available, the UI is clunky, crowded and oddly dreary which is such an odd thing to experience in an App. For something as simple as not having a running balance to convenient card details being several + clicks away (and still not finding it). It works and it doesn't crash, so it has that going for it. 10/26 Still requesting a Running Balance within transactions!

Won't ever unlock. The app reads that the card is unlocked but it isn't. I have to call every time and get it unlocked. Even with that sometimes it won't be unlocked and I have to call again. The version is updated but it never works. Very frustrating.

Update: You cannot beat the CapitalOne app! Still one of the better app. I am very pleased with the CapitalOne app. I've never had a problem logging in. It is secure and easy to connect to customer service if needed.

Every time I try to login to my account it fails and wants me to change my username and password. maybe I should just pay off my account and find another service. I never had this issue until you switched from Discover.

The app is exercising me in financial principles and when i get out of debt i will be more financially savvy. The training starts with understanding how i look to an invester/banker. Great for hacker protection. The best check, learn, spend, asess app I ever used. Updated 09/19/2022 Oh January 1st 2024 I'm trying to set my goals toward my financial independence number $6 million then I can live off the interest as a humble person a normal joe. Using the Capital One principles is a snap.

The new app is slightly different, I appreciate Capital One for continued rewards and other features from the Discover app

It is so much easier to keep up with all of my banking. The layout of the app is simple enough to get to what I need when I need it. I also enjoy how easy it is to log in quickly and lock my card just as fast. It's a shame we live in a time where the schimers and scammers are at an all time high, but nevertheless Capital One makes it simple to stay protected.

Easy to access app on the phone. Updates payments and purchases frequently and rapidly. Shows me what stores are eligible for rewards and whether it's for retail or online so I'll know where to go to redeem them. Constantly showing internal promotions, but they don't negatively impact my experience.

Feels very cluttered with the amount of content on the main page. It is difficult to figure out how to use your cash back on your statement to lower your total payment amount. I miss the straight forward app when Discover was its own app.

B.S I've used this app forever. If you use credit wise through Capital One ,they are absolutely insane. .If I keep a balance large or small ( usually small) but always paid off by due date in my case , my credit score DROPPERS - 25 points, each time. In other words,I'm not allowed to use it,if I want my credit score to reflect a high score! Don't trust what you see , leave a comment on your credit file through TransUnion, starting what there doing. Absolutely insane!!!

I was forced to switch from the Discover App to Capital One. This app is not as clean, feels far too sterile, and is not as intuitive as Discover's. It has features I will never use, and it feels like I have to go on a digital safari every time I want to do a basic task, which was maybe two buttons on my previous app. It is also incredibly slow to update my credit card balances— especially when partially paying off my balance with cash back I've earned. 1 star.

I would like all my card info in the opening page.

Moved my money to another bank because couldn't turn off the annoying, idiotic, mandatory verification system which requires a text message to be sent EVERY TIME I LOG INTO THE APP! It's EXTREMELY annoying and unnecessary. Why do this? I'm going to try to close the account as well.

needed assistance and received worthless AI bot, then transferred to a even more worthless human. bare bones layout and everything seems to work. only issue I found was with the rewards. Reward offers wants to take you off the app and is not trusted, says something like suspicious site. Why would you even need to go off of the app?

Discover and Capital One Merger is horrible. Everything in the discover app was seamless and understandable but with the capital one app payments aren't displayed properly, payments get returned even though I have the money to pay for it, when a payment gets returned you can't see your proper credit statement until they clear their own issues, leaving you wondering if the payment you'll make next will be too much or too little. Discover app was 100% better.
