I can't speak on the actual banking/investing services, as I didn't even get to start using them. The plan I wanted to select disappeared as an option after I was logged out and logged back in. Customer support was not helpful at all. I'd be very surprised if I learned I was chatting with real humans (I had to reach out twice). If I was, I'll add poor hiring practices onto my list of gripes. I'll be finding another savings/investing app.

Acorns is a great site, but the app is not compatible with my phone anymore and sadly I can't afford to upgrade, so... oh well, more proof that apps are inferior to the desktop version.

great, easy to use app. trustworthy and less rugged than Vanguard. I'm new to investing and use the Bronze plan as I need to balance a part time job with school. I have high hopes it will help in the long run.

Nice way to put aside spare change and the ability to pick individual stocks and ETFs is nice, although I wish they didn't cap it at 40%.

excellent program

i had acorns for a short time. but now its becoming so buggy and full of issues. when trying to add a custom stock, it gets stuck in a terms loop and will not add stock and keeps looping me back to accept. when i try to contact support the app completely crashes and closes. ive uninstalled and reinstalled and the issues are still there, its extremely frustrating and if it doesn't get fixed soon i hope im able to pull my money out because i will stop using their services.

I have several other trading apps. I like the fact that this automatically go round up to the nearest dollar and invested for me. I also like the fact that they have quite a few choices of investment to choose from

Great app. Slick idea. The app gets better every year. Works well as an unofficial secondary savings account......Only works if you make a decent income. Nothing will ever change that. You can't save what you don't make. Don't get your hopes up if you can smell the poverty line. Obviously, the more money that stays in, the better, so if you don't have the financial discipline to let your oak grow, it won't work for you. Otherwise, it's fantastic. (Also, the referral programs are dodgy.)

continue to take money out of your account even after you cancel the subscription. they've done this for 3 months in a row

monuments cost me 12 bucks a month but hey a couple bucks being taken out of my account and invested and it's already doubled what I have invested so with that mentality I wonder how long I can keep this going.

I like Acorns. It has made savings and investing easy.

They suspend your account but still charge you a subscription fee. When you try to chat with them, it does not work. I want my refund for the subscription fee that was charged today, (from the suspended account.)

I don't like this at all. I tried closing my account and I asked to have $200 transferred back to my checking account. They transferred it to a Chime card that I've never had. Apparently, someone had my money transferred to their account instead. I never received it even after telling them this

Nice app but it really is a scam. Anybody with under $5000 could easily be at a loss just by the fees alone. And, anybody with over $5000 will NOT consider using an app like this but rather a real broker without such ridiculous profit-eating fees. I fell for the scam when I was making less money back in 2022. That's a warning for all.

I was investing $20 every week within a month I lost all my money 💰 total garbage waste your time unless you want to lose a lot of money

You can't get them to stop auto debits no matter what you try and how many times you confirm "cancellation" I have been charged ODs three times because of it.

if a deposit fails they still take money from your account whether you have 0 or negative they dont issue refunds under that matter and they tell you thanks for understanding even though you dont understand why you'd be charged again if the first time the deposit didn't go through usually if deposits fail it's for lack of funds in one's account

I can always look at my account anytime I want to and I haven't had any problems any questions I've had they've always answered you can answer and talk to a live person or you can answer through just a question that they have on their screen so you will get a prompt answer and so far I've had no problems they always I can check it and they always put on there how much I have gained how much I have lost and they're pretty good

Horrible app! doesn't work properly! and withdrawals money without you wanting it! This app is the worst don't use it people! edit - I came back years later to try it out again and now it's investing app I was just hoping to save my pennies to round up to get a little bit extra savings but now that cost $12 a month now it was free when I first tried using it even though it didn't work this app is still a one-star somehow it's gotten worse what am I investing in? looks simple but confusing.

took 18 dollars out of my account for investments when it was supposed to be 20 plus I didnt have any money in my account I canceled it and it said I'd be refunded in 3-6 business days and still haven't been refunded and now Im negative in my account and they haven't done anything put email me my account has been closed stay away just do Robinhood or something else dont risk it they basically just stole 18 dollars from me

it saves me money sure. BUT IT TAKES SECONDS TO DEPOSIT AND WEEKS TO GET. This is not okay. I should not have to wait a week or more to get my money when you can take it from me in seconds. edit: help understand? that is ignorant. I understand this. it takes over a week to get my money. there is nothing else to understand.

Installed app just to leave a review. Website says there are live support agents whenever you need them. It's impossible to get past AI and speak to a real person. When you try it just restarts the conversation. I'm just not going to use acorns if that is how much they care. Websites think they save money using AI for support when in reality most people just won't use their service at all. FO

had to call in about a transaction. it was in a country I refuse to go to. i do not go to countries that treat dogs as a delicacy. there has been a data breach. my investment money is currently gone. Acorn's people are working on getting it back.

Referral Bonus is a Scam. I refered 2 ppl & they were bith in good standing & I never got my referral bonus. Just excuse after excuse about timelines, this & that, now I need to call some to sort it out. That is why you see such a big $$$ for them. Trust, you will be very lucky if you gets your & you will have to jump through many hoops to get it if ever. If you want to set this up as a saving to forget about or an investment to forget about then this is what this is for & nothing else really.

I canceled the account 2 months ago and deleted all my bank information and yet they still charged me the subscription from a different bank , big scam, report it immediately

the service is great, used it for years now and am very happy. my issue is with the app. the app is a bit clunky but not terrible, however what is the point of the app and even more so the widget if I have to relog in every few hours. this recent change has been incredibly frustrating.

Just installed the app and it wanted my phone number to send me a code which I did. The code didn't come so I waited a few minutes and hit send me a new code. Waited 4 or 5 minutes again. code finally came put it in and another code came and new code kept coming 5 seconds or so and then it said I tried too many times. Bad app! hoping and praying it didn't sabotage my phone.
