Highly NOT recommended, if you by chance opened your business bank account with them, it's still time to move it to other high street banks. You will fight every week with them giving documents, classified business information to release funds every time you receive. You will lose your focus, business acumen and creativity while you deal with Monzo Team who will play football with your task.

By Far the Best Bank there is, it is actually under Rated. I love Monzo been with them since 2023 and I have no regrets! Thank you for making my Banking Experience Fabulous and Beautiful! I highly recommend Monzo Bank, they now have even Monzo Mobile and Credit cards, outstanding!!

2 hours of my life answering questions to get to photo id and then making Monzo a vido saying. "I want a Monzo accountant." Then there are more questions. Lots of the soft questions about, do these people have Monzo accounts sound like marketing to me. Bottom line. Happy 😊 to provide legal requirement questions. But Monzo is not offering anything that other online banks do not offer, for a quarter of the intrusive questioning.

Monzo have hit the nail on the head with their personal accounts. The services they provide including Flex, Pay wages early, overdrafts and savings pots are brilliant and sets them apart from the rest. I've now closed my account after 28 years with another leading high street back and won't be looking back! Well done Monzo!

Online bank that take an far too long to accomplish anything, their complaints department is an absolute joke, stating they will get back to you within 3 business days, but youll be lucky to get a response in 3 months, they can handle any problems and there Flex account team are a joke to deal with when you get a problem

why can't I use the app until the debit card arrives? I signed up for an account and instead of confirming my account details, your app only shows a 'activate card' screen at the end of the account opening process. why can't I see my account until the card arrives? this makes no sense to me and is very counter intuitive unlike Revolut where your account gets opened, and you see a virtual card along with other details. am I missing something here?

I thought my phone was still unlocked and running an extended Google Pay transaction animation, but no it's just a new payment notification sound from this app that makes me feel embarrassed about the overly fancy sound coming from my phone. Fortunately the sound can be overridden but I miss the original cash sound.

I've been with Monzo for around 9 years now and it's my main account. I absolutely love it but one of the downsides is that I use pots to separate out my money, I can create virtual cards for each but can't name the cards so when it comes to paying, I often use the wrong pot. To try and get around this, I have just ended up transferring from my pot to my main account when i'm about to purchase something however, when you're in an area with no reception and no WiFi, that's impossible to do!

They closed my account without a reason so not happy about that

Brilliant bank, very happy with them. Their app is great and easy to use. Was very easy to open up an account with Monzo, so definitely recommend! My only recommendation is for the app developers to optimise this app for the Samsung Fold Z 8, then it'll be perfect. At the moment there's black bars around the edges, and when using the internal screen, the app spreads out which doesn't look the best.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Horrible bank. They don’t help when you are defrauded like not having the food I paid for delivered and the dispute was taking longer than a month despite me having proof. I delayed to refund a customer for an old sofa I was selling by a few hours and they have decided to “close my account” with no explanation. I am allowed to be defrauded but if I fail to send a refund immediately, despite me stating I will refund, it is enough to close my account.

Really annoyed by the onboarding, which includes a classic, abusive dark pattern. That says a lot about how they view you and me - like something that's here for them, not the other way around. They force you to accept a free trial of the £3/m 'Extras' level, and tell you how to disable this later. But assuming you still remember by the end, they then insert multiple unnecessary steps to make it hard for you in the hope you will give up.

latest Update 19/10/26 - Dropped to 2 stars now. Still not fixed the security issue when switching between apps, only asks for security pin upon first opening but not when switching between apps. Also can we have the option for the original app sounds back, no one likes these new ones that match your "sonic brand update", they just sound wrong and also really quiet.

Until you deal with them personally, and then you will learn how unhelpful and useless they are. A few days ago on a local bus in London a fraudster used a fake way to touch my online wallet just I was about to touch on the oyster pad. I made a report straight away, all they had to do was cancel the transaction like my HSBC and barclays . but instead they paid and refused to refund me, if HSBC didn't investigate and reported to me I would have thought it was my mistake. They are getting worse

useless, app spent 3 days doing something it said should take between 5mins and an hour. I gave up and deleted it in the end, and that was from an invite link, absolutely useless.

Tried emailing support with a query; first they demanded photo ID (for a basic operational question), and when I told them it wasn't needed I got an email in response where the person had clearly not read my query, to the point that they referred to me by the name of their colleague. If that's the attention to detail you can expect from their teams, then this bank can't really be trusted. Bullet dodged, I guess.

Customer service is not working. I am not able to use the application. Called customer service no response after waiting for 1 hour. They don't reply to emails as well. Don't know how to get hold of them.

I used the wrong CVV on an online transaction on the 28th of September, Monzo is holding on to my money, and despite raising the situation I haven't had my money back yet! So disappointed!

Love this app in general but the design has gone down hill recently with moving the pots away from the home screen. Also if you are removing them from the home screen entirely, you may want to remove the option under the customise button.

Monzo is great, but, when you need to stop payments (recognised or not) you cant, you have to allow them to cancel your card. also when the new card arrives they just advise all the companies of your new card number "seems a bit moronic if you ask me), dont let them know, let the client tell the companies "if they want to". one last thing, I've been banking with Monzo for 10 years, not once have I been offered an overdraft (MY credit score is good) 🤔
