made an account and started going through people that matched what i was looking for, even started a subscription. a few days later i added a new picture since i got a haircut and my account access was blocked by match. i tried emailing their support about it but still have not received any communication from them. this feels like a scam, they take your money then block you from using their app.

The app works and is intuitive, but I ended up uninstalling it and only using the site because the swipe sensitivity is way too high. By that I mean I would slightly touch the edge of a profile and "like" or "dislike" a profile without trying with no way to undo it. It feels rude to accidentally hit like and potentially mislead someone when they reach out to you. I accidentally liked three on the first ten minutes without trying. I'm not a serial swiper.

Glitchy. I attempted to use the boost feature and tapping the icon does nothing. When creating my profile going back to edit what I typed makes the cursor bounce back to the end of the sentence each time and won't auto capitalize new sentences. the algorithm is pulling profiles from three states away from me even though I don't have that long of a distance chosen. For one of the oldest most mature dating apps they still have a lot of work to do apparently.

Swiping in the app is WAY too sensitive and likes cannot be undone. Paid features are very easy to activate accidentally with no confirm or undo option. Within a few minutes after paying ~$100 to use service both my boost and super like options were used unintentionally with no response from service and >90% of my likes were accidental and can't be undone. I am tech savvy and well educated, I have several other dating apps that don't have these problems. Also way less people to choose from.

The app sucks. Half the time you can't see all the person's information, you can like someone and it won't add them to your list of likes, you can message someone and they don't receive the message. If I hadn't paid for 6 months I'd already delete this useless app but I'll keep it until my 6 months is up but I have a feeling all my messages and likes won't show up until I've stopped paying then it'll be like magic and I'll have 100 matches to get me to pay again. total rip off app

Complete garbage, search filters don't work, search return people hundreds of miles outside search distance, everything is behind a pay wall. Stick to Facebook dating, it's free and better in every way. Update 8/24/26: even worse than before, constant notifications that people like me, yet when I go to see them, there is no one there. Tons of bots and fake profiles. Canceled my subscription, once it runs out, I won't be back

The app and interface are terrible and frustrating. You have to pay to get basic things that should be free. It keeps making me "like" people by deciding that me trying to scroll the profile is a right swipe. I couldn't change anything in text boxes by jumping back, it made me delete everything back to the point I needed to change.

Lots of fake profiles. I get about 10 email messages a day saying I have a new like and every single one of them is a fake profile. The profile doesn't show in the "who's viewed me" and doesn't show in the likes as well. They will only show if I hit the link in the email and then the about me details are completely illiterate and don't even match the pictures and the pictures never match the area in which I live. This holds true to just about every app that Match Group owns.

After a year I decided to give it another try. Same results. If I want to be ignored I'd just go to a bar. Pay for everything is the new standard so I accept that part but out of thousands of profiles not a single one liked me back.. Yeah seems like a lot of bots. Also if you have an account problem, Match has horrible customer service. They pretty much told me I had bots on my profile.

This app sucks. I try to scroll down to read someone's bio and all the sudden it's swiped right for me. This is so frustrating because I didn't actually get to look at the entire profile before the app decides for me. I will never pay to use this app until this is fixed. Most apps allow you to tap on a picture to view the bio to prevent accidental likes. Your app is very flawed. FIX IT. No one's going to pay for an app that decides for you.

I would absolutely NOT recommend Match. I had an active account and suddenly lost access to everything—my profile, matches, and conversations—with no warning or explanation. I contacted customer support, and they couldn't even locate my old account or explain what happened. If an account can simply disappear and their own support can't find or restore it, I have zero confidence in the app. I won't be using Match again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

There is a paywall for almost everything. My area had far too few profiles based even on the population and I even chose the widest preferences. Nearly every notification of someone that looked or showed interest lived NOWHERE near me. I was using the website with my phone and its a 404 to try and cancel; thankfully I had a laptop. If its like the other onestars I'll be billed again. The price is outrageous but I don't go many places and surely there were others sadly not here.

mid 2025: I used you like this app. however they've gone down a rabbit hole when it comes to the cost. I swear a subscription used to be $30 a month now its doubled and a higher tier is available for $15 more a month. its ridiculous and sad to see how far gone the developers have pushed this app into a payment plan. stay clear from this app until they have some more reasonable prices again; mid 2026 edit: definitely steer clear prices just went up again a month is now $60 and $90

this app is ridiculous. it just asked me if I wanted to send a like for $30. so incredibly insulting and stupid. update: after trying it for about 2 months, they constantly pepper you with lies and misinformation through their in app advertising And notifications. "have our $25 gift!" turns out to be sign up for 10 partner programs. " someone messaged you, you should check it!" really means give us $50. This app is garbage

After using Match off and on for over 10 years without incident, I created a new account for a subscription, only to find I was randomly banned. I emailed support as directed to ask why, received a curt non-answer, and when I asked again (as their email invited me to do), they told me they would no longer reply to me. Zero explanation, zero accountability, and abysmal customer service. Thanks for saving me a subscription fee—app uninstalled. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I'm changing my review and editing this comment. I absolutely hate using the app. I really like someone and I'm trying to scroll and read it in before you know it they're gone and rewind doesn't always work. then you can't get back to the profile. I can't explain how frustrated it is to find someone you really like and now they're gone. or the opposite it likes someone and then you have to block them to unlike them. utterly ridiculous. The software seems to work about 80% of the time.

Absolute waste of time and money. I stupidly paid for the monthly subscription and almost immediately regretted it. It did next to nothing for me. I set my preferences and it still gives me woman that are 1 not what I am looking for or 2 are obviously fake or dead accounts. Save yourself the time and move on.

so I made a profile but ended up getting busy with work so I didn't actually get a chance to use my account until about a week it so later. when I try to log in I get a message adding banned and reach out to customer care for an appeal and details. so I reached for both and was pretty much told to kick rocks. So not really sure what happened but petty disappointing either way.

Horrible content moderation and security policies. I paid for their service, started communicating with someone and then my account was blocked and I couldnt log in. No explanation, just can't log in and told to contact customer support. Appeals took 4 days and they couldnt find account. Asked them to check again and they said to submit form and they won't respond to further replies. So if you need help, multiple forms and then they ghost. Search Google. Many have had this issue. Go to Bumble.

TERRIBLE. MatchGroup has ruined online dating by taking over nearly every major dating app and forcing you to pay for highest subscriptions and STILL having to pay more for features - such as sending messages. I have the platinum subscription that says online and in app "Send unlimited intros" but I cannot send unlimited intros. Reported this issue, they confirmed it's a technical issue, and just said "download latest app version and clear internet cashe for the website". ISSUE STILL EXISTS.

It advertises it's free, that is completely wrong even when you cancel your account in plenty of time they still charge you, and tell you too bad, so sad. Just like any other app, it does not pay attention to your distance preferences. It is far from free. They charge you for every little thing. the prices way more expensive than any other one, half the profiles are nothing but fake. if I could rate it minus five stars I would.

After been on match for a while aka 2 years. I've notice a big change in the filter system in a bad way. If you set filters with dealbreakers, you get profile that show 3 photos and a height. if you remove the filters you get a few more profiles but still get profiles with 3 photos and a height. The filter system is now broken and I dont see myself staying on match.

idk if it's just me but when I am in discover, it seems like I only get to scroll 3 pictures on any profile and see height... I could see more photos by tapping across the top but never actually see a profile. can't zoom on photos and half the profiles look like ads. I swipe a few and come back and see the same profiles like it's not registering on my end as well as on their end I'm sure... 2 weeks on and I'm at almost 100 views, does that mean they actually get to see the profile i built?

Mid at best. I used Match before but it looks weird now. the cost is so much higher, with limited options and results. I live in a major city and apparently I have no option except to wait until someone joins. also your algorithm is suggesting people not in my deal breaker preferences and you keep suggesting to remove them and expand my search to 100+ miles. if your client base is that small you should consider lowering the price to get more subscribers. used for 2 weeks, done.

I just got "accepted" into Match from having my Tinder account. I figured whatever, the same company already has all my information, so I let it happen. I have now accidentally swiped yes 3 times in a single day. I'm not careless with how I hold my thumb on my phone. The app is just registering full swipes on partial movements. Going into your profile, the user experience is bad. There's no button to go back to matches. You have to hit your phone's main back button. I recommend removal of swipes

This app used to be good, now it is the worst. They consistently lock me out. Then I have to text them over and over. They respond with statements that either there was nothing wrong, or it has been fixed. I go back in and it still doesn't work. I have paid for it for over 2 years. I just cancelled my next payment. I have been locked out 5 or 6 times this year and have had to spend days getting the problem fixed. Now their "customer service" won't even respond to emails. ZERO STARS! GIANT SCAM!

Absolutely no customer service. Matches are often repetitive even after a decline, non-active memberships, and full of scam profiles that utilize AI extensively. Match doesn't make money on getting you a match. And if you have issues with connectivity - forget any help. Their AI server is of no help. Finally, there is absolutely no way to talk with a human. No working phone. Nothing. Which is exactly what this App is worth.

Has technical difficulties from day to day. I use it on my cell phone, every day it's something different. Trouble reaching customer service. Another problem, if you toggle (for instance) distance, and you say "deal breaker" they say they will never show you anything other than your choice. I chose 50 MI. the majority I'm seeing are in other States. Same goes for age etc. So their "deal breaker" means nothing. Needs updated nightly. Perhaps that would help some of their issues. $- not worth it

way too touchy. trying to scroll down a profile registers as a skip or like. I set dealbreakers and match just ignores them. why do I want to match with somebody 1200 miles away? Now that I've used it for a month, the lack of the filters working its even more pronounced. And we need a filter to remove people without an about section from what I see. Photos are great and all, but without an about section I don't want to see a profile.

Within hours of creating a profile, I was given three "phantom" likes - i.e. the app would show me a notification that someone new liked my profile, but then I'd open the app and find nothing there. Second, 99% of users I've parsed thru lack a full profile - it's one bio after another with 1-3 images and only the most basic demographic info supplied, like it's almost all fakes. Bizarre. Also, the swipe interface is too sensitive - a subtle scroll gets registered as an unintented like repeatedly.

The app is easy to use with the exception of understanding some symbols that they use. I have not yet found a chart that lists them all and their meanings. In less than a week I have been matched. I suggest subscribing in order to avoid time restrictions of the free part of the service. One could be at the start of a potential relationship and be faced with a stop in communications.

I am not a fan, I guess it's functional, but certainly not ideal. When someone likes you and you click to see their profile, you don't have the option to decline, you have to then navigate to your likes, and then open their profile again I'm order to decline... kind of a pain. ALSO ... and even more importantly when you're browsing you have to be really careful, if you try to scroll down to see a couple of photos, the app pushes you into a "like" or decline status without you confirming it. Stay away from this app. It's predatory, and their "customer representative" will do nothing about it. Once you sign up, before you are logged in again, your account suddenly will not work. Your personal info is therefore theirs to do as they please. It's a fraudulent app, and it's best to stay away from it. The matches are mostly fake/made up to lure the user to sign up for premuim(Think stock photos). It's honestly the worst.

Match dating app is by far the WORST app along with Hinge. 0 out of 5 for both!! For NO reason, it blocked my account and then banned my account after 6 hours. No one would respond to my email. They kept giving me the run around on it . They are absolutely refusing to unblock / un-ban my account. I did nothing wrong. Now I have an account that I can't access. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE USES EITHER OF THESE APPS..

really frustrating to use, waaaay too touchy, I once again lost my perfect match because the screen jumps to the next profile and there's no going back. There's also no searching for the one that just disappeared 😕....every time I get on here, I just end up frustrated, it's just not user friendly.

So far, the app is NOT working properly. I paid for platinum but cannot use the features mentioned. half the time the "who viewed me" doesn't work and when I enter preferences like ethnicity it let's me click the boxes but when I click out it still says open to all. I am definitely canceling and will not re purchase. Do better Match.

Too many bots and not enough real people, plus the "parameters" don't really work. I set the age at a specific range and was constantly showed women that were older or younger than my specified number. Not just age but the range option does the same thing, you put in 65 miles and they show you someone that's 3 hours away. Definitely NOT worth the price they're charging.

I'm not sure what has happened to match, but it's not the same. In their terms and policies, they threatened to break up with you. Sometimes, you can't verify your number, and other times, you'll get locked out of your account after they let you back in. Then they will lock you out again after letting you back in and claim there's no email under that login, even after you pay. I'm still trying to get back into my account after showing that they just let me back in and have a receipt of payment

You need a microscope to read the text. Any micro movement is going to cause a swipe situation (probably by design). The first time you accidentally swipe left on a solid connection and want to purchase the undo, it's going to cause you to refresh the app and miss that connection forever. Trust me this app is designed by scammers.

The app too easily applies a LIKE to a profile and there is no undo button like there is for an incorrect PASS. one flips through the photos left and right and the action to move down the screen is just touching the screen and moving it up. Too many times when just trying to look through photos or to head profile the App is moving those profiles to like and I can't undo. the only real undo is to unmatch and then they're gone for good. there needs to be an undo.

blocked me from using their app for seemingly no reason. not sure if this app just has issues recognizing that people use it on data, but that's not a reason to block their WHOLE ACCOUNT!!!!! I want to find a partner not, have to send twenty emails to get an account back. this is the problem with apps nowadays, especially dating ones, you don't care! it's all about your stupid money.

The app works when it wants to. I have issues more often than not (Android) with not being able to view areas of the app (my profile, messages, etc.). The swipe is overly sensitive creating unintended likes that can't be removed unless you match (AWKWARD). Unable to scroll down to view complete profiles and the same profiles continue to appear, no matter the previous response.

This app reruns the same profiles every few weeks, for whatever reason. you will swipe left to get rid of somebody and they'll show back up again later. it constantly wants to show you people you think you should reconsider that you've already swiped Left. there are a handful of fake profiles as well. The messaging options are nice, but it often says "Are you sure you want to say that?!" when you have literally typed a very mundane text.

Paid for premium. A lot of users who don't fill out any information and little to no engagement after over a week on the app. I just find better success on other apps, so would not recommend using this one. It's good that they let you message anyone you like to stand out, but I'm assuming they need to have some paid subscription to even see the message, because that got no engagement whatsoever.

My account has been blocked, and I cannot access it at all. I am also not receiving any password reset emails. I already have an open support case and have tried contacting support through email, Instagram, and Facebook, but I have not received any meaningful response for over 2 weeks. I have an active paid subscription and urgently need assistance restoring access to my account. Very disappointed with the lack of customer support.

Genuinely the worst "customer service" I have ever encountered. Access to my account was blocked, I fill out the 'contact us' form and ask what was wrong with my account (I had not even had the accout 24hrs). Their answer was that the form fields were incomplete (they weren't) so they closed my support ticket. I resubmit, ask again. This time, the story is "that email is not associated with any account" - just be careful using this app, they will delete your account without warning/explanation.

only shows locals for a day or so and then it goes to people that live 100s of miles away. I want to see people within my preferences. It will tell you one day that theres no locals then after a day or so I just all of a sudden start seeing people within 20 miles of my preferences. I very highly doubt that when it says nobody local and then 2 days later theres 10-15 locals to look at that JUST got on match? When you pay money for services that you're not always getting, it is very disappointing.

This is not like the old match used to be. It's just swipe right swipe left and the app is really touchy and swipes right or left when you don't want it to. A ton of fake profiles! CONSTANTLY UPSELLING even with the highest tier! Generally extremely disappointing and Facebook has the same thing for FREE! I'm going to cancel my subscription and they better not continue to charge me!

Some of the filters that are basic on most dating apps (I.E. religion, smoking, marijuana use, etc) are locked behind a paywall. Additionally, the swiping is so sensitive that the app will automatically like or dislike the profile you're looking at when all you're trying to do is scroll through it. EDIT: The more I use it, the worse the UI seems to get. Moving your finger a pixel in one direction or the other automatically swipes the profile. Changed from 2 to 1 star; sadly can't go lower.

Technicalities. The swiping feature is so "oversensitive" (no pun intended) that it is literally impossible to read / scroll through somebody's bio without accidentally swiping left or right. Even though I am fully aware and am being extremely careful with the way I touch the screen. And then I can't "unlike" what went to the right or return to a bio that went to the left while I was reading it. It is ridiculous.

what a joke. I paid for a premium subscription and I still can't write more than one message a day to someone. It says I have unlimited mesages but, I clearly don't have unlimited messages. then, the app gets mysteriously deleted at the beginning of a 3-month subscription and I can't get the subscription credited to a new account. Customer service is useless and doesn't help at all. what a waste of $150. I highly recommend nobody ever use this service. or any other match group owned service.

this is NOT FREE AT ALL!!! I'm just about to delete,after rechecking to make sure. It says u can have a free membership, get free chats, , basically, majority of features that can connect 2 ppl. The ONLY feature that doesn't charge is searching. It cud be a great app., one of the best, if they were honest.

Home for Scammers. Had the app for about 8 months or so. Everyone I matched with ended up being a scammer (per Match notifying me, and two from personal experience) except for one person. While I was not successfully scammed (gave no one money), they tried, so I finally deleted my information and the app. Add'lly, I never paid for a Match subscription; got a lot of notifications about people who had messaged me. Couldn't view without paying. Too many notifications locked behind a paywall.

If I could give no stars, I would. I downloaded this tr@sh yesterday because I saw an ad on IG saying that we don't have to pay for subscriptions like other dating apps. Uploaded it was a big mistake. They literally blocked me and I didn't even get to use it or have it for a full day. Right after I finished set it up I ran through it a little bit, and saw that you indeed have to pay to use the app. That add on IG was misleading. I want to cancel and I can't. Im petrified cuz my pics on there.

This app is ridiculous. Shows you a very limited number of profiles. Same 100 profiles every day. You'll see randomly a couple more a day close by that you hadn't viewed before and they're not new, you just hadn't been allowed to see them. you're telling me in a city of 1 millon you have like 30 people to show..and then I'll see randomly like 15 from the same tiny town 80 miles away? Not making sense. They have an algorithm set up likely to deceive you into hanging on day to day.

I start paying for this app to try to use the filters so I don't see people who don't meet my filters and I set the filters and it still didn't change any of my feed... this is ridiculous. spending about$30 for one week of a service that doesn't even work. I tried closing the app and reopening it thinking that maybe it just needs to load but that didn't change anything. Its still giving me people who don't have anything in their profile at all. how would that meet my filters that makes no since.

I forgot my password once. I requested a reset, waited days got nothing. did that multiple times, emailed support twice and they tell me I'm banned for contacting them and sending for a reset. Absolutely zero customer service. Absolutely ridiculous, trash app, don't use it. If this is what you get for a password reset imagine how they handle a real problem.

Okay, so based off the results, the pricing and the ridiculous sensitivity of scrolling to read a bio, this app isn't worth it. I keep getting women who don't match me at all, y'all charge WAY too much, even with a "discount" in comparison to other dating apps and I can barely read a profile without it automatically going left or right when trying to scroll down.

Now that I've CANCELED my subscription, they keep charging me!!! Old Fashioned Subscription System I have never done Match before, so I wanted to check it out, at the Bronze level. After realizing Bronze basically doesn't provide any benefits, I thought I'd upgrade to the next level, but it won't let me! I logged onto the actual site and everything! Such and OLD & ANTIQUATED way of preventing new members to upgrade! It's frustrating, since I signed up for 3 months, with a pointless package!!!!

This app gave me the same profiles even after passing on them. Even though my subscription said I could see unlimited results, the app would stop showing results after I had passed on a certain number of profiles. The "Discover" section of the app would tell me there were no other people in my search area even though the "Highlights" section of the app said there were. Of course, I could "like" in the Highlights area if I paid more money. The tech issues are to force you to pay more.

Consistently gets worse over time. Straight up cash grab. Used to be great, you could search using any criteria only cost was to see who liked you and to send messages. Now there is essentially zero functionality unless you pay, and pay dearly. Can't even search on the most basic of criteria, i.e. whether someone drinks or smokes, without paying. But you can search based on height and weight for free. But even then you're limited to about 10 results unless you pay. What absolute garbage.

I paid for a subscription to test it out. there's still a "super like" paywall. also, there were maybe 80 profiles in a metropolitan of 1 million people. then it said I need to expand my search. but there's still a profile in the featured (which requires a super like) which is in the age and distance range. so they hide or create fake profiles to get you to pay beyond an already too expensive subscription. don't respond to me with a form lie Match staff, I know you're a con artist.

Terrible app. I get notifications via email, and when I click on that person it takes me to somebody else. EVERYTIME! And now for the service itself. Don't think for one second that there aren't people behind the scenes making decisions on who you see, messages sent and received, and likes. I have seen other people's accounts. You are way better off with the free Facebook dating app.

I am a premium member. For the last several months, app searches won't populate based on my filters. I have cleared caches, un-installed and reinstalled, contacted support several times, and they just tell me to clear the cache. Now, when I sign in, my account goes blank, or it just keeps spinning. It's very frustrating. I have lost 4 months so far. I want a refund. Do not recommend.

The user interface is not great. You see a profile with more pictures and you want to scroll sideways to see the pics. And inadvertently end up liking or deleting a profile by mistake. Old app used to be better but these IT guys just can't leave well enough alone. Like with many IT things, it has to be different, not better. They don't follow your preferences; not even when marked deal breakers. They send tons of likes from all out of your area making you think that there are lots of people near you; then when you pay, you discover there are very few profiles nearby. I regret putting out the money for their apps and they seem to be buying up more of them! Be aware.

I had a paid membership and let it expire. I can't justify paying $60 for another month when I paid half that for last month. The search parameters could be a little more accurate. I set search at 50 miles and it populates profiles that's 75 miles away. Same for the other search options. The quality of men on here is so so. If the price goes back down then I'll consider renewing. The "Meet" feature on the app doesn't work. My location is on while using the app and the map doesn't update.

been seeing ads all over ticktock about this app and the"free messaging". Well, that is definitely false advertising. Because, it is certainly NOT free! Not to mention the prices! Might as well take my leg too while you are at it. Not everyone can afford your prices. I got this app thinking it could help me find someone. But sadly I can't afford this app. I do however like how it's set up. But again the prices are a big issue for me. might delete my profile later, but we'll see how it goes?

It's very expensive with more expenses in app for ridiculous things like "super-likes" and profile "boosts" (one hour only.) I haven't found the expense to be worth the value received. Even if I find a match on this app, I'm not certain the price point is warranted. I'm not trying to be negative, just realistic. I've gotten more value for my money on a language learning app and met more people through it (though not in a romantic capacity.) I do love the 4000 char. profile description ability.

I am very disappointed in this app. I set up criteria, i.e., age, body type, ethnicity, distance, but the profiles sent come nowhere close. I have a paid membership, but I've noticed that some of the members I'm truly interested in only appear in the "highlighted" section & if I want to contact them, I have to BUY a Superlike. These members are never seen as I'm scrolling thru. Also, you either have to 'X' a profile or send a "like" to a member: there's no way to save for a later return.

I have used paid Match twice, a few years apart. This time in 2024, it falls very short. On both desktop and mobile, their interface won't let users send initial, or introductory, messages, to desired people of interest. The option to do so is only available at random (even if you hit "like"). This passing by of people means means missing out on exactly what you came to Match for. And paid good money for: unacceptable. Their "Help" section doesn't address this.

I can't see small pictures well enough on my PC (You can't zoom on PCs on Match). I end up having to "like" the person so I can look on my smartphone (I can zoom there). Also, I'd like to see the person's profile on my smartphone while I send them a note. Yesterday, I made a purchase in the app, and now, every time I open it, a screen pops asking for my name to complete the purchase that was already charged to my credit card. Waiting over two hours for a tech support chat!

This is a rip-off! Even after paying for the premium level of searching, they still try to charge you more!!! It's like they hold the best matches for ransom and try to get you to pay more to see them!!! What a SCAM!!! Taking advantage of people that just want to find a date... The app is BROKEN! It keeps asking me to enter my name to complete my purchase, but then you can't enter it! It does this every time I look at a new profile from the list, THEY SENT ME in an email!!! Ridiculous!!!

Nothing more than constantly being hit up for mico transactions. Pay a fee for a boost! Pay a fee to send a Super-Like! Etc. My primary issue with the app is that I just don't believe that profiles are shown consistently. Over a period of 6 weeks, I had 3-4 likes in the first week. 0-1 likes the second week, and basically 0 likes for the rest. Used the free boost, and got a like from someone that basically checked all of the "deal killers". 100+ likes sent. 6-7 likes returned. 1 date total.

Save your money! Too Dang expensive, plus you have to purchase just about everything else for extra! I followed their advice. 6 month premium package, plus another $50 in add ons. Not 1 like. People don't even respond to messages, cuz if the haven't paid, they don't get to respond. As soon as my 6 months runs out, low and behold, like and messages! For a fee. Total Rip Off! What a crock. They won't even let you contact them by phone. They know it'd be tied up 24-7 with complaints! Stay away!

After paying for a premium subscription, they still try and soak you constantly for additional purchases for things that should be included with premium. also there is no consistancy on how you can communicate with a match. sometimes it's only with a "super like" which you only have one a month and other times you can like someone and text. When my premium membership is up, I will not be renewing.

Feels like an idol app just collecting money. About 80% of the profiles are inactive or non subscribers, and there are zero ways to filter them out. There are too many gimmicks to get you to spend more $$# to be seen even if you are a paid subscriber. Used to be a good app years ago, seems bloated with inactive accounts they keep on to look like they have more to choose from, but I start to see the same profiles I've already rejected within a few days.

Edit: if there is a one month, it isn't listed with options upon signup. Garbage. Minimum 3 month subscription. No monthly and when you're bored of their sub-par platform in a couple of weeks, you're stuck for two more months of wasted money. They have "highlighted" profiles that you can only like with a star. You have to purchase stars so you never get to interact with those profiles if you don't pay up even more money. App is unusable in free mode and almost all profiles are not active.

The app seemed to keep gouging you trying to get you to buy more and more stuff. I never met anyone from here and never got beyond a short conversation. These can be fine if you're in the top percentile of attractive men or a good looking woman, but most users will probably end up losing time, money, and hope. It was also difficult to delete my subscription.

Not A Fan. Match isn't one of those cheaper dating apps. I don't mind paying for services that are worth it. In exploring the site, I was impressed and decided to move forward with the paid experience. There are a lot of add-on features for extra costs. Very soon after filtering, my account started to become blocked. This happened for about 2 weeks straight. Even after speaking with customer service, my account kept getting blocked. There is no sense in paying for services you can not use.

To add to my prev review, it's ridiculously expensive, and a lot of the profiles suggested at the bottom of the page simply NEVER show up in your search results. "I'll keep leaving 1-star reviews as long as y'all keep publishing 1-star worthy apps. The "specific as you want" search parameters, are a joke. They were much more in depth, three years ago. I miss specific searches. I miss winks. Give me access to a "Match Classic", and I'll GLADLY give you an extra $5/mo. You'd make a killing."

App doesn't work well. I'd like to just scroll down a profile. But when I look at a profile, it doesn't respond well to moving up, down, left, or right. It randomly responds. Can't see a full profile narrative and unable to go back to it once it's viewed. It's awful. A simple scroll down to see the entire profile would be much easier and less frustrating. Also, as a paid user, I'd like to be able to have a filter for who can message me to minimize unwanted contact

On multiple occasions I have had the same people come up in the same order after swiping left. I have had to Uninstalle and reinstall the app, which fixes it a few days. As a premium member I'm nit really seeing any added benefits. There is one free boost per month. As most apps go there are always opportunities to purchase more. This app is. O exception. There are opportunities to purchase more boost, an option for the people you like to message you if they aren't members and so many more.

Save your time and money by avoiding anything that Match Group owns. Google it. There are not enough characters allowed to give this app a full or comprehensive review. Imagine that... They can't explain to me why I keep getting verification code requests sent to my phone. Many profiles are inactive, yet they feature them as "highlighted". Why? After two weeks you'll start seeing the same profiles 5 or 6 times regardless of whether you swipe right or left. It simply doesn't matter.

Box is bombarded with people that don't match, just wasting hours of my time. I can turn off visibility to catch up on all the messages, but I can't respond to any of them until I make my profile visible again. In the time it takes to respond to one message, I'll get 4 new ones. I want my money back but they say there are no refunds. Don't use this app. All the features that they advertise aren't actually part of what you're paying for and each feature is an extra $10/mo. Total rip off.

Disappointing. I was getting matched with criteria I clearly checked as No. And I kept getting the same profiles over and over. I don't know if there is a manual I missed but 95% of the matches don't respond, if those that liked first. For paying subscribers, one is expected to pay extra to get profile "boosted". Not a good experience overall.

I would give this App zero stars if I could. I subscribed for three months at an initial discount rate, and met exactly one person off the app. Most of the time I would be told there were no current matches but would be more soon. Usually, they would recycle people. If you aren't a paying member, you can't even see who likes you or read a message from them. Don't know how often I messaged people who couldn't see the message. So they give you nothing unless you pay, and you get little if you do.

Been on for a few months, most if not all profiles view you but never match or reply back; even subscribers and new subscribers. Seems like a lot of bots to keep you paying, swiping, and hoping for a response and match. I do not recommend. When I went to unsubscribe, it took 3 attempts to unsubscribe, kept giving me errors. When I went to delete my account, it wouldn't let me. Instead it kicked me of the app and when reloading app, tried to get me to create new. Sus.

I'm going days without a match. Having difficulty maneuvering through the app. I keep changing my preferences but still no matches within the distance I put in. Or the age range I put in.. always much older.. I added 35 miles out, keep getting people 60-70 miles away. Also, they keep wanting me to buy more likes, that sort of thing. I can't go any further without needing to pay more. I bought the premium pack $150.00. I shouldn't have to keep paying to search or like other's. Horrible.

Paying for a premium account isn't enough for them, there is always something else to pay for. More non subscribers than subscribers. I let the expert pick for me and their pick was a non subscriber in an entirely different State. Nice going Match. If you do decide to sign up, only pay for 1 month. After a few weeks they just keep recycling the same profiles. Literally the day after my subscription expired I started getting views and likes again. I truly believe match uses deceptive practices.

Match web design is not great. Ditto for app. Just tried repeatedly to hit Send, and nothing happened. And to add to some of the other comments, when you cancel your subscription, be sure to keep a record and get a firm confirmation. I and others have had Match say they never received a cancellation request, then charge you for an extra six months (or whatever time period your auto-renew was for). So there's that, as well. Maybe it's some kind of glitch in their system?

How in the WORLD do y'all have the audacity to advertise that you have a FREE option? Overall, I liked the way profiles were set up. The interface was decent. I started getting in likes but I couldn't see them. So I figured like with other dating app, you can only see/talk to someone if you both like each other. Finally got 2 matches and I have to pay to see them? It's not a free plan if you literally can't use any of the functionality of the app. Ridiculous!

There is no inbox in the android version. Customer service said "if you want to see messages unrelated to a match you can use a web browser on your computer"...seriously why is there no inbox? They also removed the part about what people are looking for in a potential significant other. Great, they got rid of another useful part. Crappy app keeps getting worse.

The user count is too low in my area (Sacramento) for this app to be useful. This may be related to the high price to send messages to other users. You can see which users have viewed your profile; eventually you reach a point where all your likes have checked you out and you're waiting for new people to join. You can message without a match, but based on a friend (female) no body actually does this since it comes off as creepy. I've had more success with others apps and spent less money, too.

I found two different profiles that have the exact same thing written in each, word for word. It looks like this app likes to pad their numbers by creating fake profiles. Edit: update, I've now found several profiles with the same thing written in each one. Second update: I finally matched with what appears to be a real person and I have to pay to message her. I'm deleting this app. One final update, it's possible to delete your account, you just have to do it from a desktop.

Terrible app. Will lie to you about likes to get you to pay for it. Then once you pay for it, it is nearly impossible to cancel the membership. This sight is a ripoff. Also only put one thing in my search criteria and set it as "must have" and 90% of people it shows me disagree on that topic. Their own search function doesn't work right. Terrible app and service. If there was a way too get my money back I would considering I purchased a month based on false pretences.

Downloaded it for free, as most apps offer. And like most apps, when you find someone you like, you have to pay to talk to them. What I hate is all the fake profiles that are allowed. Also, when you decline one or more particular profile, unless you block them, they'll come up again under searches. Also, there's no way to actually see whether or not the person you are messaging gets your message, unless you pay an ADDITIONL fee for just knowing if they read your message. Time to go elsewhere.

Not that great of an experience. But, better than other apps I've tried. Three changes are absolutely required to improve user experience. 1. Display the days since a profile has been active (not green circles), 2. Profiles that have not been logged in for over a week should never come up in a search or match list EVER, 3. Allow multiple search sort options at once. Why can't I search by "reverse match" and "activity date" at the same time?

It doesnt give you the option to proceed eithout subscribing. I picked the "best value" package bevause it appeared the charges would come out monthly and I coildt cancel. instead, it billed me for all 6 months in advance, and THEN told me there was an option to browse without subscribing. This is robbery. I have reached out to Match to request a refund, but of course they haven't responded.

If your going to pay for an app, they should be more up front about it. There are a LOT of profiles in there that people loaded that can't respond because they aren't paying members. This is deceiving to the members who do pay - and it isn't cheap. Also, it wastes a lot of time by repeating the same "matches" you've already liked or disliked. The filters are pretty useless. You get a bunch of so-called matches that have nothing in common other than they enjoy drinking coffee and want to go on a safari one day. The best thing I can say is that it doesn't have as many ppl on it looking for hook-ups like other apps.
