I have been looking for places to swim for a couple of years & stumbled upon this app & it has made summertime fun soo much easier.

i doesent even tell you how bad the water is or to go in or not go in it just says passed quality standards or quality or quality tests

App no longer works!!

I heard on the news that Lost Creek Lake has algae and it killed someones dog but nothing saying don't swim there. definitely need to do better.

States weekly Beach sampling and monitoring. Then I clicked on a local beach that hadn't been updated in over 6 months. Definitely not the most up to date information.

Great information, but I can't find a way to change it from kilometers to miles.

Opens to a frozen page with nothing to click on. I discovered the web version of this app & noticed some highly suspicious beach ratings which leads me to believe the data cannot be trusted.

App just freezes when opened and doesn't even allow any selections.

pretty much pointless. Virtually nothing is ever updated

The app was great up until sometime during summer 2022 when beach water quality seemed to stop being updated even though they are tested regularly and information posted publicly online.

Useful Have used the app a lot since the pandemic made accessibility to pools for the communication challenged impossible.

This app is awful, I live right on the border of Devon and Cornwall and the closest beach it can find is...youghal...that's 310 km away nope sorry rubbish!!

Brilliant app! I install it and now I know I should forget of my dreams as nearest beach I can swim is 413km away from my home. Btw I am living in Birmingham, the UK.

The app helps identify... acceptable lakes, rivers to swim at...it helps prevent people from getting affected by different kind of bacteria which they never know existed in the place

Very helpful, lots of locations, even though, inevitably, you just discovered that empty tiny beach... - which is not covered...

Like the idea, wish there was a way to filter search for fresh and saltwater since I live by a sea inlet but prefer to swim in freshwater lakes.

Best app idea! Now I'm not scared to swim in a lake. This helped the family to find a beautiful, safe environment without the fear of contracting ear infections and such the following days. Knowing the beaches that test well consistently gave us all a fearless day of fun that we were able to completely prepare for our needs and itinerary in advance thanks to the thorough explanation of the resources and amenities available. Definitely made for a stress-free outing.

8 beaches showing in ireland. the beach i found the poster at isnt even listed. is the app not syncing or you just dont have any beaches listed?

Great concept. But, I don't know how trustworthy it is: I've seen mis-matches between the online map icon and the info one gets when they click on the icon (website)...and also mis-matches between the info/rating for a place on the website versus the phone app. When one says the place is green/safe...and the other red/not safe...which are we meant to believe? Defeats the purpose/usefulness of the app. Were this fixed, it would be 5*.

Overjoyed to have this kind of info at my finger tips. Opens up a whole world of swimming possibilities right nearby.

Bogus data. One beach (public, not busy) rated unsafe and another one (paid, very busy) 15 min away, on the same shoreline is safe. Really??? Or people, like sheep's got to be pushed in a certain direction ? Not to mention this app is free and no adds. Who and how Pais the developer ? Most likely the good ratings.

I use this app every time I head to the beach, it's reliable with up to date information on the water! You can also report pollution

Total garbage. Doesn't give you legitimate data on sites or any way to effectively navigate the app. Going to their website is also a downward spiral to wasted time.

All beaches in Durham region Ontario have not been up dated since last year....

This doesn't include the myriad of Lake beaches (which outnumber ocean beaches). So unless you are visiting the ocean or live there, this app is useless

Nothing for Missouri?

How can it say that the water is green (safe) and then have a red (unsafe) logo right next tot eh green one? So close together the logos overlapped.

Did not realize there were only ocean beaches listed. I live in NH. We have like 9 miles of coastline. I know where those beaches are! Not a single freshwater beach listed in NH.

It's a shame the Lollipop issue is still an issue when we're just at the beginning of swim season! Hopefully it'll get worked out soon... If not for that, I'd have given it five stars. My family uses it a lot!

There has been an error contacting the swim guide servers. Press OK to try again, did so and nothing went.

Didnt refresh to my location even when my gps was on.

Up to date excellent resourse for any beach comber.

Any way you could let us know when the last test was done. Maybe just peace of mind but would be nice. Excellent app though

Love this app!

I was so disappointed to see absolutely no North Carolinian beaches listed or mapped. As well visited as they are by people all over the eastern United States, I expected to see at least a few. Myrtle Beach, SC isn't even on here, and it is remarkably popular!

Needs to add more public beaches, including those with no water testing.

Great app, easy to navigate through!

I've noticed discrepancies between state run databases in the US and swim guide concerning beach advisories even though the icon on swim guide says "Current Status", which implies an almost real-time link. Not sure the app is as "real-time" as the developer makes it seem. Not sure i'm comfortable with swimguide also coming up with their own assessment of the swimming status. Great for beach discovery, but I would be cautious of their water quality claims and always call the local beach or consult other sources for up to date information.

Great app. Makes planning family trips to the beach easy. Especially for someone like me who gets lost easily. This app leads me straight to the beach! Thank you Waterkeepers. Keep up the good work!
