$199.99 for a dating service targeted to retired people. Seriously?

Most of the women that are in the "discover" are 5+ hours drive away, mostly Florida. I live in Texas. 5 of the conversations I've had have turned into the person asking me for money. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS APP!

Once upon a time it was a good app. I met my husband on this site in 2022. He passed away in 2025. So this year I tried to sign up again, but I was blocked and banned. I emailed customer service and I even sent a photo of me and my hubby telling them they had matched us up. I asked why I'm not allowed on the app again. That was 1 month ago and I never got an answer. If you look on Google reviews the rating is 1.5.

Stinks. My criteria not met but keep sending me losers.

can read the small print. continue to receive error message. photos are outdated. they should rename there app to outdated!

Terrible customer support, would not acknowledge my premium upgrade on the app. Did everything the help page recommended to no avail. Took forever but finally found a customer service phone number, listed hours of operation, called during business hours and got recording stating to use the website and was disconnected. Called AMEX, cancelled subscription and to dispute original charge. STAY AWAY.

I was banned but they won't tell me why. I did not do anything to violate their T&C. I got a generic email that didn't even get my name right, saying they reviewed my account and yhe banned stood. No specific reason and I don't believe they reviewed my account because the email did not have my actual name on it.

What a money pit app. Too expensive. No local people. No way to search closer to home. Once you start talking to people they switch from the inexpensive texting feature to a letter feature that sucks up your credits faster. Just a big ripoff.

worst app for dating. don't bother with it. after 1 day my account gets locked because someone suspicious contacted me. 3 attempts to contact customer service and no resolution. didn't even respond to the person in question. just horrible experience all around!

What a waste of money. 1. I am a gay man looking to match with other gay men (relationship, not a hookup). 2. The site does not offer an option to identify yourself as a member of the LGBTQ community; instead you choose "match with male, or match with female." 3. All I see is matches with MEN---mostly straight men looking to meet women. 4. I also see "discover" or "matches your interests" with WOMEN, even after I specifically list "men" in my profile. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

absolutely terrible! signed up in the PM, browsed several profiles, liked a couple but never received or sent a message. tried logging on the next day and got the message my account was banned! my info is all accurate & current, my pics current & appropriate. appealed the ban and 3 days later got a message banned upheld! no reason other than "violated Terms& conditions". read several chats and come to find out you can't use a VPN! sorry but browsing safety WAY more important than this app!

For an app that is supposed to be for 50+ then why do I keep getting likes and messages for guys in their 20&30's. Doesn't follow our guidelines for distance most of what I am receiving are out of state and half way across the country.

New to online dating. Kinda like speed dating but without the wine, Mazel tov! No, really I'm slowly getting the hang of it. No glitches with site itself so far. Only gave 4 stars, for mediocre security. Can't catch everyone, but same 2 scammers, in 2 months, on 3 of your sites. Reported it. I'm 72, teach senior safety. I picked up on them after a few messages and one made it to 2 phone calls. Come on up your game. 5 stars when you try harder to screen better.

constant sign-in problems I want to cancel my subscription

account suspended twice with no reason given. I have been suspended twice. first time I appealed and was reinstated. they never told me why. if I had broken a rule, they should tell me so I don't do it again. was just suspended a second time and I really hadn't had time to like c any profiles. I'm convinced that this and match are run by a group of idiots.

Banned my account and won't say why. ask them and all they say is their decision is final. still won't tell me why it was banned. Never even opened the app. banned from the beginning. These people suck.

seems like a good app though I've had to delete many profiles due to it sending out likes without me doing it. they need a way to cancel likes app continues to send likes with the slightest wrong move. I have contacted them and they dont care. it is annoying that I need to be wary of looking at profiles due to this.

Can't give negative stars. Sucks that there are so many scams, fake profiles, etc. on these sites. Truth be told, I think most of these sites are owned by the same people and all are basically the same and they are making bank by having ineffective and totally useless sites. This type of dating kind of sucks, but when you have sites ran like this where there are tons of fake profiles to make people think there are tons of people on here. Ugh.

The sheer amount of scammers on this app, who are preying on older people is mind-blowing.

I paid a $120 for this app and it won't let me log in. I have emailed their "customer care" department over and over and over, trying to get somebody to respond to me and I'm being ignored. Just know if you download and pay for this app and you have trouble with it no one will help you.

A lot of fake profiles

Horrible customer support, and unusable even with paid subscription. Shortly after subscribing I was banned from the site for "violent or graphic content". I appealed and it took days for them to reply that it was a mistake and reinstate me. Hours later it happened again. Again Days to correct their error and they cannot tell me why it was happening. A couple days later-same thing. Two weeks gone by with no response, emailing to ask about it - they say they won't respond to further inquires.

I signed up for an account. Demanded my phone number. Gave in, gave it to this app. then came 50 spam messages. no thanks. they claim no messages, it for verification. then where did they come from? Uninstalled

Where to start? I am not sure which is worse, the app or the service. The app has more bugs than a termite mound, while the service continues to recommend profiles I've already passed or live 549 miles outside my distance limits. Save yourself the time and frustration!

I'm back again hoping to find the one that keeps me from returning again. I really like OurTime for meeting people looking for a healthy relationship!

Easy to use, simple format on the app. But not enough local profiles so see too many that are a long distance away.

Don't waste your time with this app. If you purchase a package to see your likes, you no longer receive likes while a member. I went from receiving alot of likes daily without being a member to so far only 1 as a member.

it's amazing all of the different areas where the women come from, the chat platform is great as well no issues.

In addition to echoing all the other complaints I'll add... Like other Matchgroup owned apps, this one is filled with fake profiles and has overstated membership ranks via the inclusion of inactive member profiles and cross linking member profiles from other apps. They think we are idiots and don't notice this nonsense.

Reporting to BBB. They let me create an account. They are posting me I there and I have not been able to logon once! They send generic preset replies from customer service when I inquire about it. Won't let me verify my phone number. There's nothing wrong with my phone number.

Can't believe this is legal. The only ones happy with this app are the creators because they get us to pay for a service they do not provide. If you want to lose money and remain single this app is for you.

Used to be a dwcent app for people over 50 (including gay men). Just beware of the overwhelming number of fake profiles. Nothing is being done to stop the creation of fake profiles. Also, OurTime will send you potential matches from all of the country even if your preferences are set to only see potential local matches.

While I was on OKCupid an invitation came up offering to move all my photos and information over to their site. I moved forward, checked my profile, everything was there AND THEN THEY BLOCKED ME FROM THEIR SITE! STEALING MY PHOTOS AND PROFILE. I HAVE NO WAY TO DELETE MY INFORMATION. THEY HAVE SOLE CONTROL OVER MY LIKENESS ON THEIR PLATFORM. LAWSUIT, ANYONE?

For those looking to have a sincere and great experience trying to find that special someone - DO NOT USE!!! I am a straight white male in my 50s, and I simply tried to modify and update my profile text as to who I was looking for and used no inciting language and was banned by automatic process without anyone actually reviewing it and giving me time to explain or remove whatever language was offensive! So now they have my forty dollars, and I doubt I will see it back as a refund.. AVOID!

This and pretty much every match group app are absolute trash. Yet another service outage, non-stop app inconsistencies with respect to message delivery, yet no refunds or service credits issued. Google really needs to pull all of them and an FTC complaint filed.

The app is slow and clunky. Before my subscription ended I had a chat going with someone and now I am unable to message them without paying again. The other major apps don't do that even if you cancel your subscription.

you can be scrolling down through a profile and make a slight move to the side and end up on the next profile and a lot of the time it then decides you like the person. Giving you no way back to the previous profile.

lot's of phony's imho.... so many head pictures.... why not show us more recent total you pictures... worth being part of, but learn how to use it. And technically certain screens get "lost" as you touch them.... no easy way to search by name.

The "new" version is terrible! If you even touch someone's picture, that profile disappears. Also, if you choose "dealbreakers" - they don't pay any attention to those requests... which means you have to go through dozens more profiles than you want. It's very time consuming. I will not be renewing.

it makes no sense for you to select your searches or if it's a deal-breaker or not because they will expand your search supposedly because they want to give you more options but it is options that you DO NOT WANT! I'm paying for this service and it has been a big waste of my time and my money. I only want someone within my state and my city and they place my profile everywhere so 90% of the people who checked my profile are men from other states.

I've been on several different apps for older folks. This one is easy to operate, minimal spammers, nice men, and push the "extra costs" items fairly benignly compared to other sites.

You set a distance, but you end up getting people from all over the country. I want to meet people close to me, not 4 states away.

Just a tip for you dating apps. I realize business can be better. I set up my profile, but haven't subscribed yet because I don't feel like I have an incentive to. I see the likes coming in, but seeing a thumbnail of the person that likes you in an email would be nice. Make the main profile photo visible. Restrict the communication and detailed profile until you get the subscriber. How many people do you know shop blindfolded?

This app is GARBAGE. My premium subscription was hacked. Don't waste your money on this app. UPDATE : 07/13/2026 I see that I'm not the only subscriber whose account was wrongfully blocked by this scam of an app.

When looking through the Discover tab, it's easy to swipe right or left when just wanting to swipe up to read the rest of the profile. It's happened many times that I accidentally swiped left on someone I was really interested in.

Horrible. first I was denied access because they thought the email we were communicating with was bogus, then when I finally got access and paid for a subscription, they said I didn't have a paid subscription even though I sent a screen shot of their confirmation. I have sent the screen shot again and have requested a refund. I'm guessing that won't happen. Hoping this nightmare ends today.
