Not enough coustmization available

Library view is horribly messed up. When you start scrolling down to look at the list of books you have, the books at the top of the list stay in view in the background and are like doubling up behind the other books you're trying to look at. It's totally unusable!!!

Please bring back pages when it comes to your lists. I hate having it set on infinite scroll because it's annoying and frustrating. Everytime you move or remove a book it takes you straight to the top. The only way around it is to make a ton of different lists and keep each list short.

It would be better if there were more font sizes in between the font sizes there already are. For ne there's too big a jump from the 8th to the 9th font size. a few in between these sizes would be nice. The 8th font size is too small, and the 9th is much too big for me to read comfortably on my cellphone.

Downloaded books disappear but still exist as over 2GB of storage used. Have to redownload books and enable offline to read them, thus making the tablet useless for anything needing a connection. Zero support from Amazon about it. Looking at buying a download tool to extract my library from Amazon and use a basic e-reader instead. Just awful and haven't purchased any e-books or periodicals for almost 2 years now.

Using an older LG running Roid 10 when this app started acting up. SUPPOSEDLY because 10 didn't support the app. Now with a new Moto running 16 still seeing problems. The only way to describe it is that when I open my library the covers of books have pixelated images. Best answer seems to be to convert to epubs then read with ReadEra or some other e-reader. Certainly can't recommend.

Newest update is trash unable to navigate at all, quit changing the layout your just making it worse, now can't browse anything except what the algorithm seems for you, each update makes it worse.

Why I cannot order with my credits anymore? I used to be able to order with the credits. And I never had any problems. What are the credits for now. To just sit in the account? I guess I should go start buying books elsewhere.

I access my library and organize my book collection with ease. The paper white screen font is adjustable and the page easy to read in the dark and when outside. I was offered a trade-in of my old Kindle, along with a percent off this Kindle's purchase. The trade-in instructions were simple to follow, and well-worth the time to complete.

I have used my Kindle for atleast 20 yrs. I feel like its my best friend. It's convenient, and when I travel, I don't have to carry a suitcase full of books. My husband is very grateful, for that. The price is very reasonable. If I have questions, they are always helpful!

I love reading on my Kindle. I am able to easily bookmark selections, look up definitions and translate terms. Kindle also saves my page if I happen to fall asleep. : ) I try not to read when laying on my back as the Kindle hurts a bit if it falls on my face.

Kindle used to be a wonderful reading app. Earlier this year they started forcing Kindle Scribe features into it. That has caused a freezing issue for books. It doesn't appear to affect comics. They have retired my Kindle Fire HD 8 Plus as well as several others. I can still buy books and comics, but I doubt they fix the issue.

cell phone misses the finer points of Kindle. Paperwhite on a real Kindle. But if you must read on a cell phone screen, Kindle works.

Loved it before the update!!! Sooo convenient with so many authors, and titles! Since the update , my books will not stay synced. Do you know how frustrating it is when you have to go through the whole book to figure out where you left of because Amazon keeps erasing data. Fix it before we start requesting refunds, which will in turn hurt the writer's that use Amazon as their main platform... so disappointed. Amazon makes too much money off of us to have these kinds of mistakes.

Fix!!!! The audio purchased from audible won't download on kindle. I've called CS and they transfer me to audible, saying it's audible's fault... audible transfers me back to kindle, saying it's kindle's fault. Result? NO AUDIO DOWNLOAD TO MY KINDLE BOOKS!!! Some books won't even detect that I've also purchased the audio from Audible... Come on, people! Fix it!

Since the last update Kindle keeps crashing when I open it! It'll try to open to my home screen but never finishes and just disappears from the screen. When I bring it back up it starts all over again and does the same thing!! I've uninstalled it and reinstall it but it just keeps happening!🤬

You took away the ability to exclude words from searches. Now it'd take an hour to filter through all the books I not only have ZERO interest in, but actively dislike. There are other apps and this one is no longer worth the headache. Or the $.

I am new to sitting down to reading a book. After purchasing and being gifted physical paperbacks I realised I hated damaged spines. This app has helped me engage better with picking a book up and reading it without the worry of a spine. The best font (in my opinion) is the dyslexia one - the font choice helps me read much quicker than flipping the pages of a physical book. There is one thing I wish for, unless I'm overlooking it, would be a book wishlist to save them to buy later.

The new windows version has frozen twice in one sitting on my first day of using it. The previous (legacy) version was so unproblematic, unlike this new one...

Still love it - intuitive interface, disability friendly. And it just works. It's a shame greedy Google won't allow you to browse new books on the phone (they want to charge a ridiculous levy on everything,) but I get organised with a couple of reads in reserve.

I love reading books in the Kindle app, but seriously, fix the syncing! Every time I switch between phone & tablet, I have to manually search for where I left off on the other device. It rarely syncs properly, even if I press Sync myself.

Why can't I export an HTML file anymore? A PDF to my email appears the only way to get my annotations and this is absolutely worthless.

Listen up, fellow Readers: Kindle is the best reading app. I can say that with confidence because I've used multiple other applications to read books. You can highlight, annotate, bookmark a certain page, and build your vocabulary using the dictionary the app has. I've had a great experience using this app, especially by having the app on multiple devices — it's a seamless experience switching between them depending on convenience.

issues in downloading samples

I need Kindle to stop signing me out. Signing in is hard when I read on the subway with limited signal. It's every single time I open the app, multiple times a day. Please. ETA I opened the app right after this to find that beyond having to sign in again, it deleted my downloaded books and got rid of my progress. Neat! ETA happened AGAIN, stop deleting my progress! Seriously!

why is it beyond the wit of developers to make secure apps?

I love reading books on my Kindle and I especially love the Kindle App on my phone because I can read wherever I go whether on vacation or in a doctor's waiting room. I don't have to worry about forgetting my book at home because I have it with me on my phone!

the audible voices are dumb and wrong for a lot of the characters in the books I read. choose better readers who have actually read these books. characters should t sound whiney just because they have child like voices

I LOVE Kindle BUT the last month or so the app randomly crashes or gets buggy. For example, when i go to download a new book, the app can't seem to download it at all. i close the app, open again, still not able to download the book. Delete app, book struggles to download but after a few minutes, success. this is an issue. please fix it! im mid series and DYING TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!!

what the heck happened to the ability to select a word and highlight it with a certain color? OK, I found it. You sure didn't make it obvious, but at least it's there. whew!

Bookmarks and notes will not delete. Have tried many workarounds. Please troubleshoot this revision and reissue with repairs. Thanks!!!

I don't always get my books from libby. why is that?

Syncing between Android devices is broken. 75% of the time the app simply doesn't acknowledge progress (or even bookmarks) made on another device.

Absolutely one of the most important apps on my phone! A great alternative for those that either don't want or can't afford a dedicated device just for digital books. And I highly recommend getting the paid subscription- the sheer amount and variety of books available makes it worth it, and many of the new, highly anticipated books are available without additional purchase or waiting months for your turn.

doesn't count daily if unable to sync while at sea. It also no longer back credits for the days once able to sync.

I really like it but I would like the option for an audio book feature. maybe it's already on it but I haven't seen the option even when I researched it.

Amazon sells books (even expensive academic ones) that are not in kindle format. Most of their devices don't open them, and the android apps crash constantly trying to deal with the glorified pdf they sell. The cloud reader doesn't open them either. So that's what we get after paying good money. Fix your apps so they deal with all the books you sell.

Love being able to read anywhere with the Kindle app and have it sync across multiple platforms. Never being withdrawn a book is a great feeling.

Can't add your own fonts like you can on Kindle devices, the included ones don't quite cut it. The app almost feels like they are trying to steer you to buy their hardware by limiting your options in the app. There are sync issues as well. Overall the app is passable but could be so much better.

Two bugs on kindle drive me crazy! please fix! 1) Books sometimes claim to reach the end and force you to rate very early in book in an infinite loop unless you relent and rate. Incorruptible does this. Now my rating was nonsense and its marked as 'read'. 2) Progress % goes to the physical end of the book but for books with an appendix that can be at like 66%. So progress dpesnt report correctly to user understanding of 'how far am I in book' Two simple fixes you can do this afternoon!

I prayed for many years that God would open my heart and mind to fall in love with reading. God's timing is perfect, I've had multiple surgeries over the past five years and that means lots of time in bed. That prayer was answered when I found myself reading book after book and thanks to Kindle and Kindle unlimited there was always a great title waiting for me. The most recent update is a flustercluck. The app no longer works. Can't sync, can't read, booklist/library is a wreck—settings all messed up. Nice. No way would I subscribe to the Kindle+ with an app this screwy. UPDATED: Uninstall/reinstall, cleaning of cache... no change. App's locked up. Book I was reading? Lost. Go, Kindle. :-P

Can no longer find anything. before there were 3 tabs. Home, all books and downloaded. now every book bought is in downloaded. No longer find new books in downloaded and if part of collection it pulls through every book. Nor can you remove download once read to free up space

I love reading! I love having options.

The latest update removes your option to view downloaded vs all. This means you have no clue which books you haven't downloaded or are unread. The only unread books are the downloaded ones so any bought books are who knows where. Horrible app. Just when you get used to it's quirks, an update changes it.
