네이버 시작페이지 메뉴 복잡, 시용자 주로 쓰는 메모 캘린더 등 찾아가려면 서너단계 거쳐야 하는데. 관심 1도 없는 쇼핑 숏폼 주구장창 수십년동안 장애물처럼 거리적거리고. 로그인 안되어 캡차 무한반복. 캡차는 저시력자 고려 안하고 글씨도 잘 안보이게 만들어놓고 그게 보안인냥 잘난척. 원치 않는 기기계정 제멋대로 생성해놓고 그거 지우면 에러 일으킴. 블로그 등은 게시물 한 번 올리려면 무슨 과제물 작성하는 것처럼 복잡하고 느림. 뉴스 댓글에 좋아요 눌려도 캡차요구 잘못된 접근이라면서 에러 일으킴. 정작 중공 댓글조작은 안막고 그러니까 세계적 기업은 커녕 우물안개구리지. 주요 경쟁자는 쿠팡이고. 브러우져 기반 앱들을 쌍둥이마냥 비슷비슷 복제해서 메모리 밧데리나 낭비시킨다.

This is the worst navigation app that I've used. But not really a choice in South Korea. Especially if you are using it for driving, it just cannot shut up. It's so bad that if it's quiet for a few minutes, it just goes, "Continue until you hear the next instruction"...??? Why, just why. Cannot find any name when typed in, even if you see it displayed exactly the same. But no Google Maps in Korea, and Kakao Map is even worse somehow. Glad to see it gone from my phone.

OTP 입력하게 만들어놓고 알림도 안옴. 그래서 세팅 들어가서 OTP 확인하래서 그렇게 다시 로그인 하려면 로그인 화면 이탈했다가 다시 처음부터 해야 해서 제한시간 안에 로그인이 안된다. 대체 이렇게 만들어 놓으면 어쩌자는 거냐? 번호도 쓸데없이 길고 로그인 두번 하게 만들어놓고 두번 로그인 정보 입력하게 하면서 수수께끼 내놓으면 제한시간도 짧아, 알림도 안와 대체 어쩌자는 건지? 보안을 잘해놓은게 아니라 앱사용성을 개판으로 만들어 놨음. 몇번 시도하다가 안되서 2단계 보안 끄고 겨우 로그인 성공했네. 최근 써본 앱 중에 네이버 앱이 최악이었다. 사용자를 불편하게 하는게 보안이 아니다.

recently used the 'naver review' feature but my review didn't show up, even when i sorted the reviews by 'recent'. also, i cant find anything other than information written by koreans. really bad search engine and feels too restricted or filtered.

Cant Verify ID in US. I've tried to work with the customer service department and verify my ID using my driver's license. They keep telling me my account name does not match the driver's license when it does. Most of the value add content is unavailable if you cant verify. Tried to create a new account and the verification code fails to send.

my account locked because im accessing it from different pc. i created the account via line and haven't got the time to change my profile, so i just click continue when it was created. because i thought i could change it tommorow or later.. but booyyy this app is disgusting. i use other pc and it insta locked me. now i cannot log in because I don't know what is my registered name in their system. even though i have the proof of ownership of my LINE account and ID card that i used to verify.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I use a VPN on my phone for work and forgot to turn it off before opening Naver so my account was suspended due to suspicious login. I submitted my passport for identity verification and their customer service team replied that my account was permanently banned and to create a new account!! absolutely crazy since I provided my passport. So I go to make an account and now I'm not getting the text code??? Apparently my phone number is also banned?!?

i attempt to join with my google account without everything, after one day, got suspended because of missing id location or "abnomal behaviour". Created another account with my recent gmail or try created manually, this time, try to apply the info, but my phone number are not receiving any codes where do i live, i make sure that everything working, nothing came out, good riddance!

Not helpful at all! Newly created account was locked out for unexplained suspicions. Told to make another, same thing happened. Same thing also happened to my partner! We just wanted to use a map for directions while visiting SK. Download KakaoMap, everyone. Smoother install and use. They also have cute cherry blossom alerts during blooming season.

My non-Korean internet was completely fine to create an account but when they told me to log in after email/phone verification, my network is now suspicious. I was locked out. Naver told me to just create a new one. Tried but then I never got the text to verify my number. Tried on my phone through wifi, cell data, on the dekstop, with and without a VPN. Nothing worked. Its unfortunate that everything pretty much gets booked through this app because foreigners can't make accounts.

Can't change username, can't hide username, cant make a nickname, can't make a new account with the same phone number which oh, just so happens to be required in the account creation that doesn't even work most of the time on a good day in the first place.

I had a very bad experience with NAVER. My account was suspended immediately after I created it, without any clear reason or explanation. I tried contacting the customer support, but my issue is still not resolved. Now I’m unable to access my account and cannot delete my personal information like email, passport details, and phone number. This feels unsafe and disappointing. The app also lacks proper English support, making communication difficult.

I honestly tried to use it, but it rejects my ARC, it rejects my bank account, it rejects my card - I am surprised this level of incompetence is allowed to exist.

I signed up while waiting for my flight to Korea. They banned me immediately. I assumed it was an honest mistake on their part. I found a form to contact the help desk. Phew! Relief! Surely humans will help me. Nope, they accused me of identity theft after I sent them my passport information. What's the point of this if you just accuse me of crimes? I tried to sign up with a new account and mobile verification never came. Would try again, but I am afraid they'll accuse me of kidnapping next.

this is the WORST app I've EVER used. I made 2 accounts which were suspended due to "abuse suspicious location". I'm not even in a suspicious location? i keyed in all my appropriate details and yet was suspended once I tried logging in. I made another account using VPN, I had to go through the login page over and over again, I thought I must've keyed in my password wrongly so I used BOTH my recovery email address and phone number to get my password back. NONE of them sent me a message...

It's rating are justifying why this app is worst. First - you can't change language for that you have to create a account and you will get torture. second - after making an account you still can't completely change the language in English. Google maps is the best.

almost impossible for anyone who isn't korean to use, despite it supposedly being allowed. i had an account, key word HAD, and to even get it up and running i had to SEND THEM MY GOVERNMENT ID. they approved it, then arbitrarily banned my account. i've tried to get support at least five times, i've tried to make new accounts, all to no avail. it reeks of xenophobia

Made an account and it immediately got suspended before I could even log jn for because my ID was supposedly "mass generated"? I tried everything I could to rectify it and I still get notifications to my email that someone (me) tried to log in. I don't want to make another account because if that gets instantly suspended as well I'll be beyond annoyed. On top of that I cannot change the language because I can't sign in to access the language settings and as I do not know Korean I can't use it.

Terrible experience! Naver is racist against foreigners by instantly baning your account for no reason other then your area being "Suspicious" Even if you go through the effort of contacting customer support and giving them all your information they will not help you and keep your account banned for good.

terrible app for foreigners. suspends accounts after less than 24hrs of being created with bookings attached to them so I could not go attend my booked events. absolutely ruins plans. shocking!!! naver needs to allow people to unsuspens accounts as there was no reason to suspend it in the first place. absolutely terrible platform

This has to be the worst app out there. For all those saying it is a foreign app and therefore your experience on it as an English speaker isn't justified is actually insane. I've used tons of foreign apps while traveling and I've never had one so unintuitive that seems to purposely hurt your experience like this one before. I can't wait for the day Google maps to include korea so this app can be forever be deleted off my phone.

I just downloaded the app to read my favorite novel, but whenever I try to create an account, it keeps giving me "Account Suspended due to suspicious location" error. I can't read the novel without having an account, so both the app and the website are completely useless to me. Please fix this error quickly!

naver is racist. they banned me for no reason after creating account and verified phone number. and I forced to send them my personal information and passport(all information only in Korean and its hard to find). And after two week they sent me letter with no reply option that I used "unsafe network" and they never unblock my account. really? for what? The app is forcing me to authenticate but I can't even authenticate my number because the drop-down isn't showing any other country except for Korea. I saw it is working on other devices but not mine. And when I try to report the error it just says network unstable and I can't even report the error! What useless app is this!

This app is awful! Everything is in Korean. You can change to English after you navigate an extremely complicated sign up process that involves analyzing pictures of receipts in Korean to answer poorly worded questions. When I finally managed to sign up and get a confirmation code texted to me there was no place to enter a code. I tried account recovery only to be told to enter my info correctly which I had at least 20 times I wish I could give it zero stars!

Racist app that makes it impossible for anyone outside of Korea to join

Lately the app just showed popup that I'm under 14, which I don't know why and how to solve it. It requires me to give consent (by adding Korean number!) to submit verification request, which is non-sense because I'm foreigner. Now my already-verified account is unaccessible: no way to request as no Korean number, no way to edit my birthdate (I'm over 40!), and I have some money left in Naver Pay. No one to contact with. Disappointing!

홈피드 추천 정말 엉망입니다. 연예기사 검색하지도, 흥미도 없는데 앱 열자마자 나오는 홈피드에는 항상 연예인 관련 포스트 뿐입니다. 해당 업로더 추천 금지를 눌러도 연예인 관련 포스트만 끊임없이 나옵니다. 뉴스탭 역시 가독성이 떨어지고 기사 검색 또한 불편합니다. 예전 UI가 훨씬 직관적이고 사용하기 편리했습니다.

휴대폰 잠금 없이도 인증서 쓸수 있게 해주세요.. 왜 강제로 휴대폰 잠금을 요구하시는지..

Naver is a backward platform that reminds foreigners Koreans are exclusive. The app prevents foreigners from easily making an account by requiring a local number. Which made reservations impossible. upon contacting the naver support, I was given a ridiculous excuse that my passport did not match with the unlinked account I had created.

Got suspended for no reason after creating an account. Don't bother calling. No one picks up.

RANDOMLY DELETED MY ACCOUNT. Use google! Logged me out saying something expired, now won't let me log in again saying my username doesn't even exist. Unprofessional and unreliable. Use a legitimate company like google so you don't have your business compromised. I have never had an issue with google/gmail. Relied on this company for work. Now I can't access my work information. Everything is gone! Using google, professionals should stay away from this naver thing. It's a scam and doesn't work.
