prices are not matching up and the app is not working. in the last year I've had to book with other providers as the quality has gotten poor. bookings dont show or my price is being limited where I last booked amd can clearly see a lower price and openings.

The app was weirdly showing me the same hotel room as more expensive when booking through the app than through the website. I also wanted to provide a nice review of a hotel I stayed at, but once I saw Agoda was writing my review with AI, I tried to exit. Instead, once I pressed the X button, it submitted the AI-generated review. Hate being forced into AI when I didn't want it.

My experience was very worst for booking property through Agoda. Photos uploaded in Agoda app and the reality is not at all the reality and the reviews and rating is also a bluff. I contacted customer care through help option in app but the response is for AI only and the reply is contact property directly. If we need to contact the property then next time we will book directly with the property and why should we use Agoda.

Booked a hotel via Agoda. The room was nothing like the photos shown on the app. Dirty bedding, bad smell, unclean bathroom, damaged fittings. Couldn't stay even one night. Agoda shows fake images to get bookings. I emailed them the same day with photos and proof asking for a refund. When escalated, there is no support at all. No reply, no resolution. Now I have to file a consumer complaint just to get my money back. Avoid booking through Agoda.

We booked a room through Agoda and completed the full payment online. At the time of booking, the app showed that the property was located just 2 to 2.9 km away from our current location in Bangalore. However, when we reached the mapped location, there was no such accommodation or property there. When we contacted the host/property directly, we were shocked to be told that the property is actually located in Chikmagalur, not Koramangala!

Worst Experience, takes 40mins on an average to reach customer service who will not help you anyways.. they will apologise in public forum, ask for a private msg and will leave you in a void.. if customer service have answered me this quick, at least my issue would have resolved

Extremely Worst Experience with Agoda – Completely Disappointed and Frustrated! I have had one of the worst travel experiences because of Agoda. I booked a hotel through the Agoda app, and my booking was successfully confirmed. Based on that confirmation, I travelled to the hotel expecting a smooth check-in. But to my absolute shock, when I arrived, the hotel staff simply refused to allow me to check in!

The app glitched and Agoda kept my money. The app reported my PayPal payment had failed and showed no booking, so I booked again — it said the payment failed again. At the hotel there were TWO reservations for the same room. I used one room and was charged $76.98 for the duplicate booking created by the app's error. Agoda support (case #1234505) gave me weeks of runaround and then silence, and PayPal denied the refund. $76.98 charged for a room I never received. Do not trust in-app payments here

Pinnacle of incompetence. Hotel couldn't find my booking at check in. Contacting Agoda customer support. They say everything is fine for a few turns, until they realize they booked another hotel instead and figured it out only when I requested a refund. Refuse to give my money back due to their mistake! This is not a serious business.

Generally my experience has been good with this company, but I travel a lot, and know you can't trust the reviews on hotel apps (much more accurate to use Google Maps), this app now closes down your search when switching apps to check reviews, and I have noticed it sometimes increases the room price when I come back. The last time I noticed this, the price literally increased 10x in the time it took me to check reviews (~1.5 min). Wow, I guess that is AI at work, or a new Sales VP?! :/

Prime example of a service that used to be good but it is not ruined. Booking is accepted, money spent on going to the hotel...then the hotel is full. For support, the first Avenue is AI. Then (I am betting on this) the support is understaffed so wait times are high. The sad part is...it used to be good.

I have fully paid and they don't refund my money for a hotel that already closed for some time. the address is listed as wrong address and when I asked for customer support, I was redirected to the AI agent which doesn't resolve anything and keep on wasting my time. the app chat doesn't work and honestly I don't want to use this app anymore. I am deeply disappointed and I was a platinum status in the app. It feels like a scam and waste my time and ruined my vacation. so many ghosted hotels.

Rubbish 🗑! Looking for a hotel in Kuta lombok, it only shows 5 hotels! and Novotel lombok can't be used for parents with kid! but if you click it stated kids 3-15 are allowed using existing bed. We were also in Bandung booked with agoda and the hotel told us kids breakfast wasn't included but actually it was included. I uninstall after it shows me only 5 hotels in kuta lombok. 👎👎👎👎. I will uninstall all of my smartphones and will say to my husband this app is rubbish!

SCAMMED ME. I booked Hotel in Madina on 16 Aug 26, which was cancelled by Agodha within an hour (due to tech reasons) whereas amount SAR 401.31 was already deducted from my credit card. I tried alot to talk to their agent but couldn't do so & lodged complaint on AI chat. I was confirmed that my amount will be returned as that was not my fault. After almost 2 months I once again made efforts, contacted helpline agent/emails (after multiple tries) & was returned with 60.2 SAR. Not Recommended.

Very disappointing experience with Agoda! I booked a hotel after seeing its price, discount, and final amount on the app. I paid online, and my booking showed confirmed and paid. However, at the hotel, they demanded an extra ₹1,000! Agoda customer support said it was mentioned in tiny letters at the bottom of the booking. Some prices on the hotels were actually cheaper before your stupid coupons, by quite a lot. And you do not allow us to remove the coupons. ridiculous.

We were travelling with our family, including my wife, daughter, and elderly mother, and this caused us a lot of inconvenience and stress. They are unable to verify the truth and unable to do anything to support their customers—we are literally like meat on the butcher's block. my first hotel booking was so frustrating. i booked and paid since oct 17-18, but when I arrived in the hotel. they said they are fully booked and cancelled my booking from agoda. but agoda never refunded my money up until now. edit: they finally refunded me after 8 days.

The property itself instructed me to cancel due to an issue, and they assured me that I would get my money back. Is it really that hard to get my money.

Warning scam. Take a close look at the reviews, they’re all 1 star, not 4.5. I booked a room in Bangkok with agoda description of the room garden view with king bed and sofa bed. When I arrived, I found a single room with just a queen size bed that was it. It’s impossible to get a refund because Agoda denies it, even when presented with photographic evidence.

Thankfully the property messaged and confirmed that they received only 1 adult booking otherwise it would have cost me fortune at the time of new year to pay for additional members. So I cancelled all bookings and uninstalled the app.

our booking hotel been cancelled without our concern. customer service told us that the person cancel the booking not same name as our booking id name. we had book the hotel from agoda abt 2 month before our holiday. but 2 week before our booking hotel had been cancel . this made we very frustration . our flight had been confirm now no place to stay. due to holiday season some of the hotel are fully booked. and some of the hotel are very expensive. been double of the price.

I have booked a hotel in agoda. But there was no real hotel available at the location they provided. The contact number they provided was also fake. I was trying to contact agoda customer service, but an Ai chatbot is replying stupidity to me, not understanding my problem. I want to connect a real human support to convey my issue and asked for it but was not provided. I got cheated by a fake hotel, which does not exist.I raised this complaint in the app and still no refund has received.

Cash back does not work for me when I request it in usd, it does not give the bank account option or any other withdrawal method. If I select another currency then I do see options. It makes no sense.

It's impossible to get a human contact at customer support. Even in urgent cases a bot will exhaust you in an endless loop of repeating questions that always bring you somehow to the first question. That's the nature of bors. If you insist over and iver to get a human answer then eventually you are informed that a real person will contact you in max. 1 hour, which in reality turn to be 17 hours.

Pay later options on most properties. Being a platinum VIP not all listings are cheaper than other platforms, so shop around, i have found a way to get cheaper accommodation via being redirected from other platforms.

Cheaper in Asia than booking but you will pay double. Their customer service is pretty bad. If you ever go to a hotel that has an outdated description and old photos, which is the rule in Indonesia, do not expect agoda to refund you. Your only option is to eat the loss and try your luck at a different hotel. Or sleep in somebody's elses dirt and wash yourself in a moldy bathroom. In any case, agoda will not help you.

⭐ Very Disappointing Experience with Agoda Hotel Booking At the time of booking, Agoda showed the hotel price as only ₹304, and I paid the amount as displayed in the app. However, after the payment was completed, the hotel staff contacted me and informed me that I would have to pay an additional ₹1,400 at the time of check-in. This is completely unacceptable and misleading. The total price and any additional charges should be clearly mentioned before confirming the booking and making the payme.

so in Malaysia and got a resort on the beach drove 2.5 hours to find something that hasn't been maintained on 20 years, and no office no lobby was told to go to an apartment to take to someone, decided no I'm not staying here raised the issue with agoda asked to speak to an agent presented pictures etc , instead of the agent talking to me they just shifted me to the property management who immediately asked for Whatsapp so there would be any record of our conversation. agoda u failed twice

worst app for hotel booking. As a new customer you cannot see hotel reviews. I got scammed in the name of 30% prepayment.

worst app and service ever...to contact customer care we have to try for minimum 40min we need to talk to them for an 1 hour...then they dont do any thing...there are more booking apps better than this "make my trip" was the best for bookings and they give best price and ap glithes in that worst customer care team worst app ever

A recent hotel reservation through Agoda turned out to be a very unhygienic and health hazardous place. Agoda did nothing to help. No easy way to reach out to customer care either- told me to wait on a chat window for 60 minutes during which the agent can ping anytime ..if you miss the agent's ping, start all over again. Call will be picked up by an agent if you are on a lucky day. Eventually no one solves anything. Never booking from Agoda again. Recommend the same to anyone who sees this.

I am here in Delhi. Now it is 12:24 am. At this hour I am writing this. I booked a hotel through them. Their app is showing that I have successfully booked a hotel through them. At midnight the hotel is refusing the booking and they can't do anything about it. My card is charged for the money. When I called their helpline they are saying your booking was cancelled and we sent you the mail. Then why the app is showing booking is confirmed even now. Just disgusting.

Worst customer service ever! Agoda takes your money but disappears when there’s a problem. I’m stranded dealing with hotel issues in a foreign country, and your support is absolutely useless. No proper resolution, no accountability, not even a callback. Absolutely pathetic service. Never booking with Agoda again!

Agoda is conning people & losing customer trust. I am uninstalling the app as I had horrible experience with 2 of my bookings. 1) filthy 2 bed room provided while I booked a 4 bed. 2) denied check in but no refund. Customer support is worst as it takes a lot of time to connect. Refunds are rejected with false information from hotel staff. Offers are made to tempt customers to book but not at all reliable. You might end up with no booking or quarreling with hotel staff.

They advertised one price and tried to charge me one that was more expensive. I went online and chatted with the agent. Tried to send pictures of the original price and they WOULDN'T HONOR IT! I'm already done with them!

My hotel room booking, made through this application, was not confirmed by the hotel. Furthermore, I have not received a refund for the amount I paid. I have sent emails and spent four hours on calls, yet this application is failing to provide me with a refund.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Misleading Pictures and Poor Room Condition My experience at this property was absolutely terrible. The room shown on the Agoda app looked beautiful and well-maintained, and the listing mentioned facilities such as complimentary water bottles, breakfast, towels, and other basic amenities. However, the actual room was completely different from what was advertised.

Worst experience in my life, even after confirming the hotel booking, the room is not available, it's a scam, that's how they run their business. The booking will confirm a room at a lower price than what you would get later, even though you pay the same amount. A case should be filed against this in the consumer court.

One of the worst apps out there for booking anything. I had a reservation through the app for a hotel they work with. When i arrived there the staff didnt accept my booking because I paid through the app and said that they do not accept bookings, they didnt accept the receipt I showed them and also they said that its Agoda's problem which might be true. The problem is that they never returned my money and I also had to look for a hotel in the middle of the night in a city ive never been before.

Worst booking experience ever. Avoid Agoda! I recently booked through Agoda and had a terrible experience. Their customer service is virtually non-existent when problems arise, and the platform is completely unhelpful and misleading. Save yourself the stress and money—use a reliable booking app instead. Absolute nightmare.

Very disappointing experience. On 19 October 2026, I paid ₹5,103.03 for a hotel booking, but could not access the confirmation or booking details in the app when needed and could not use the stay. The booking appeared later through support. Despite repeated follow-ups and an initial 24–48-hour timeframe, my refund remains unresolved as of 22 October. Support says hotel approval is pending and a refund is not guaranteed. This caused considerable stress, inconvenience and financial loss.
