I strong recommend that everyone avoid installing this app. I purchased subscriptions, including the Platinum subscription, because I was told that I would be able to use the country filter. However, even after subscribing, the feature has not worked as promised. The app takes an unreasonable amount of time to find people, and despite using the country filter, I have not been able to find even a single person from the required country. I feel completely disappointed and dissatisfied with this

emerald chat is a frustrating attempt at a chat room moderation is basically non-existent or plain malicious, refusing to do anything of actual note to users who are ruining otherwise enjoyable times. the option to pay to avoid a ban is stupidity in the highest. if someone is clearly breaking the rules enough to be banned, letting them pay is just idiotic when you can just make a brand new account to dodge bans anyway. lack of punishment by mods or admins makes the community extremely toxic

I have installed this app and when I try to login via Google the app will not confirm the selection of email I want. also the ui for signing up has a thing of not working, and with a certain screen it doesn't set right. when you do sign up and use a Gmail it tells you to use the gmail button. it seems this app is broken. if i had access to it i might be able to review more in its entirety.

I've used EmeraldWeb since I found it after the Omegle ban, and after seeing that Emerald had a mobile app, I was ecstatic. I love working on my social anxiety talking to people (not sure if that makes sense to anyone but whtevr). Its good to use, relatively easy to navigate, but I will say, sometimes on the "casual talk" chat section, there are (again) SOMETIMES nudity seen. You can normally tell, and also if you report it, you'll see that person again da next day. other then that, great app.

Emerald has just become a breeding ground for perverts lol. I literally have to skip about 10+ ppl to have a nice convo with someone. What I find stupid tho is the censoring. It censors numbers that suggest someone is underage but then won't censor p*rn. I get that it's out of the dev's control to prevent these malicious intent. So I suggest making a separate room for those who are freaky and those who are just in the mood for a casual chat. I genuinely think emerald has potential.

It's alright but I much prefer using the website, the chat feature is quite buggy and jittery at times. Sometimes you cannot send messages at all.

It really should not surprise you that the app version of a website functions objectively worse. Unresponsive to your inputs, takes 3+ taps to actually do anything. Pointless, blatantly sexist karma system. Accept/closing chats is an inconvenience now, what was wrong with the omegle-style system on the website? Like others say, your chat WILL stop sending or receiving msgs eventually. And to top it all off you get a group chat page with some of the worst personalities on the whole Internet.

Wrote multiple times to support at emrald chat. Got suggestions but none of them works. Neither the browser not the android app is suitable for Gender plus Country filters. None of these filters works. Gold and premium subscriptions are Scam now !

I can't even use the app. When I try to login with Google it tells me that there's no credentials, and when I put it in manually it tells me to use the login with Google button.

I can't sign up or use the quick tap for Gmail because error message pops up. after you correct this issue you will get a better rating I hope you can get this screen shot I'm sending.

They banned my account without giving any clear reason, and then demanded an "unban fee" to restore access. I recently purchased a gold account on emerald chat using my phone. Unfortunately the subscription is not working properly on my phone, and I am also unable to use the Gold features when accessing the site on my laptop. I have tried logging in on both devices multiple times but the subscription benefits do not activate. Solid foundation for an app, but I have huge issues with messages I send not actually appearing in chat, and I think the same issue happens sometimes with messages sent to me

so far all its done is bug out I've meet a couple of people but once we got into go conversation it would bug out and I wouldn't be able to respond at all and sometimes I wouldn't even get the chance to add them due to it bugging out

it's okay, the app drops about 50% of the chats I have and frequently fails to send messages with no indication nothing was transmitted. but you can meet people on it with similar interests so it's alright enough overall.

There's are a lot of weird people on this app who will constantly spam your notifications get so they can talk to you and when you do they start really weird conversations like personal or something highly inappropriate.

App is worse then the website. No anonymous account feature. Missing features. Currently there is a bug where you can be talking to some one but the server will try connecting you to new users, making it impossible to continue the old conversation.

Currently, there's a major bug in the app. When in an active, randomly matched conversation, it'll keep popping up with potential chat matches and when that happens, all messages stop working in the active conversation. It renders the app unusable. Fix it and I'll change my rating to 5 stars.

I just want to start with the fact I LOVE the site and I never had any issues with it but the app SUCKS it always breaks a person will randomly skip me with no indication and when I go to the next person I am talking to both people but only one of them can read my messages the only fix is to leave both people and start all over again but sometimes I have to do that more times then I can actually chat which is just absurd! Skips all of your conversations. You can be in a conversation with someone and out of nowhere it takes you into a new one when you nor the other wanted it. This literally makes the app not usable.

Right now, there are some issues with this app, specifically: you cannot type other social media apps; you have to re-type your message or messages until it was able to send it further to the receipient; and some of the new messages from some people cannot be seen (it says there's an error in the room) & the previous messages cannot be backread after how many minutes of chatting with the person. Basically, there's a glitch in your system which hasn't been addressed for how many days already.

Censorship, buggy, karma system and inconveniences. Censorship - they don't allow sharing other ways to connect outside of the site and won't send messages with certain key words. Buggy - camera does not fit properly in the cam window half the time not showing most of people's camera. Along with many connecting issues. Karma system - I wouldnt mind so much if they didn't have a annoying popup about negative karma if you spent ANY money making it a annoying punishment for supporting the site.

A lot of bugs, messages ro friends don't send, chatting with people is a lso a problem been sitting a for an hour and not matched with anyone, the camera side doesn't work at all, messages to friends and in meeting new people sometimes get in the void and never get sent. I've been using the Emerald Chat app and while it has some cool features and interesting ideas, the long wait times for chats are a major downside. The app's potential is clear, but it's hard to fully evaluate its functionality since I rarely get connected to a chat. It's a solid messaging app! Has a long way to go to work out these imperfections but I know they'll fully improve this system too! The app tries to push you to pay to filter by gender or interest and to skip anonymous accounts yet even if you pay to be a "gold" member all of your chats will be from old men looking for little girls. There is no genuine chatting to be done here. After spending a little while more on the app it's clear that the target audience is for child predators to chat as they flood the service and the moderators allow children on the platform freely.
