11/01/2026 Update: Support no longer exists for this app. the majority of posts I make will silently get placed on hold where they aren't rejected but they don't get posted either. but I still see several active users who are free to upload CP & other degenerate images for public viewing. This app is a shell of what it once was, just use PixAI instead. even though you can't post mature content, Pix won't censor you from using words like "hug" and "kiss". I'm disappointed with SpellAI.

App was fun but now it's not. Not sure why the 'safety net' is there when there are games doing nsfw content as ads, let alone what you can do in them. If I could put a 0, I would. It's really a shame.

Used to be a good app, but it became monetinized over time. Not to mention they added a lot of restrictions unless you sign up to pro membership.

I can't get the image I want because it's to NSFW to the AI even though my character is fully clothed, but other people can do worse and get away with it making actual NSFW 🔞.

used to be my favorite image gen app but now the censorship is out of control and you can't even generate simple prompts based on the settings they have built in. They say it's because of laws for different regions, but those laws don't apply to where I am or the kind of content I make. Support refuses to respond to anything.

just uninstalled it. it has recently let ads get out of control. used to be so much better. You can't even close most of the ads, they just sit there until I have to close the app and start over. Not worth the headaches. Switching to a different, more user friendly, app.

This app is on the lower mediocre side for image generation pretty much only creates super simple anime photos and I mainly use it for image to video generation because it's pretty good with that, however I've been using the free version for a while now and never had any issues but the second that I bought credits now all of a sudden there's a network issue and it keeps timing out and I can't generate anything. Good art generation, though it still struggles with hands sometimes. It's NSFW fliter is set way too strict. The Chat function WAS great. However, they keep tweeking it and making it worse. Also, they just shut off features randomly with no notice (like face swap). Not worth the money. Wish I could.get my money back.

Don't bother, absolutely useless ai. can't follow instructions, the movements are catastrophically bad cant even get a person to walk without wierd leg glitches and limb deformation, so many wasted credits. constant failed generations due to image flags, (nothing inappropriate) a woman in blue jeans and white tank top, someone in armour with robotic arms and so on...but it will let you use those same images in their terrible templates (without being flagged) just not your own prompts!

This app is basically garbage now. It's great for SFW (to a point), but the moment something could POTENTIALLY be NSFW... Blocked. And the Support is a joke insomuch that there is NO Support. ZERO Support. If something gets flagged as NSFW Detected you've basically wasted your coins because you can't even download them to view offline (at least from the app anyway). I'm NOT renewing my subscription with them and the moment I'm out of coins, I'll likely UNINSTALL it from my device.

Spellai is now a failure of an app, it's supposed to be M for Mature Adults, we do make explicit images but promise not to be shown in public, it better update the adult mode to allow it, some AI apps had so many restrictions to block sensitive words, this AI used to be awesome but absolute failure, I love it so much but not, I'm sorry ... but I'm done with this app, but I can create OC characters for short amount of time but not often, and Koi ... not a good app. 😡😭

when I ask for seamless solid figure the app makes the figure invisible, takes away the arms or just gives me the same figure as before. When all I want is a 3D figure that is solid with no joints like a real 3D figure should be.

At the beginning it worked well but after they rolled out the NSFW restrictions they rolled themselves into a grave then proceeded to burn said grave. They only want your money and are idiots because the best solution to keep their app here while also being rated M would be to allow Privacy mode but the fact All NSFW content is blocked means they expect people who don't want to or never will post to post their content. EXTREME CENSORSHIP! Once a fun app, now it is no longer an NSFW content app. Even words like "thing" are now censored in the once fun chatbots. This makes the M rating a complete joke. When is the Internet going to treat adults like adults and not like 10-year-olds? Wasted money on a subscription and coins only for them to become worthless 2 months later. The chats have also become lackluster.

App was painfully slow, and only seemed to get slower the more I used it. At first I thought it might be my Internet connection, but even after using a different wifi it still took a very long time to generate even a very basic picture. The app in of itself looks very appealing, with the internet clean and tidy and easy to navigate. It has a lot of potential, but was far too slow for me to even want to continue forward with it. It could also use more customization features and tools.

Let's set aside the fact the ai used to be less restricted. Which alone is enough to call it bait and switch garbage. It's awful. It repeats itself. Leaves sentences unfinished. forgets things no matter the smart setting. It's ai and ai is trash what do you expect.

This is the best AI companion and story chat I found. It's like all in one. Picture generation, edit, pic to video, anything AI apps offer so far. Besides, it also give free coins for daily login. It's free, also with optional pro package with monthly fees.

ads for every generation is too much when image fails to generate, the censored image is shown blurred out, not any reference of why generation failed so as to improve or fix prompt script censored, some users are permitted to print, display and publish images otherwise censored to other users who cannot even generate one of them. Why should we watch ads and get nothing in return. Why do you not censor everyone the same. uncensored prompts.

Every output was being flagged as NSFW. No prompts of the sort were given, the reference photo was of me, like a regular dude just standing in a hallway. Waste of time.

I love this app! I've been using it for several years now, and despite it continuing to evolve. It's still amazing. As of writing this review, free users can still access most, if not all features. And the paid features, despite being faster, aren't the only way to use the app! I love Spellai, and I hope it continues to uphold this standard; continuing to develop & grow, without isolating free users from its amazing features! 😊 Plus, when I can, I'd be happy to pay for membership myself. 😜

It used to be good, but they've put up so many guard rails that it seems like trying to make a vid will fail if any cleavage or midriff is exposed on a character. Plus, the vids used to bring a character to life without prompts, but now seems to only makes characters do only one type of dance. I liked that it used to highlight rejected words in red, but even that's gone away so you have no clue what keyword, even innocent words like coy or sultry, will stop an upload. Sabotaged themselves. >w<

this ai is so sensitive to NSFW now that it blocks almost every image involving characters. find a different ai if you like making character images, still works okay for making vehicle images. very disappointed I wasted money getting pro version a year ago and now the updates make it so it's like a free version again

Mostly interested in the AI video. Could not operate without pay. Payed, and it immediately rejected the image. So it's got some restrictions. Which can be bad for creativity. Especially when AI kids are okay, but mature women are not. I always find that disturbing. No sound on the AI video, and the characters act kind of random, like it doesn't know what to do half the time lol Other than that, it's decent. To be fair, I've seen worse. It's pretty straight forward.

omg! for the past three years I have LOVED this app. it has rendered pretty realistic people for an animation im working on featuring sexy young people on the water threatened by sharks: so yes, there's bikinis and blood. suddenly, I can not even get the app to render people in summer attire running, camping or dancing - let alone a shark attack, after I had been and much more for years!!! I am afraid after I finally get the remainder of my credits to work, I can no longer support this app

spellai is an M rated ai drawing app that you can write what you want the ai to draw but recently it rejecting most of the art that being made claiming it may contain restricted content even if the prompt is harmless most cases it forces some of the art to be web only. wasting the in app currency that is used for making the ai art

This app is alot of fun. Made lots of great art and pics plus videos. But I wish there was more characters added like from anime and video games. The OC characters are ok but I think more anime characters would be more better.

I used this to make characters for an AI DND App. I understand wanting to censor things So people can't make p***, but censoring it so much that if a woman has a large breasts, it won't let you have the picture and label it as NSFW, is going way too far. this app does not follow instructions at all I'm wasting all kinds of tokens and money repeating and repeating just trying to get this thing to follow instructions. I tell it 30 ft and I get 10. I tell it high angle and I get 5 ft and no angle... and then if I use the word body or anything even close to that it thinks I am putting out something weird and blocks me. other than that I like it just fine

Really cool generator but seriously inconsistent censorship and rejection of what you post. You can literally post something identical to someone else using the use spell feature yet yours gets rejected when theirs stay public. makes 0 sense. Has consistently gone downhill due to excessive and inconsistent censorship despite 90% of the content posted being suggestive in nature. its an M rated app yet doesn't act like it. There have got to be better apps. Sucks cause it used to be awesome too.

decent in some ways but censorship is off the charts, breaking the entire experience. images in chats are often disfigured, extra arms and such and cost 100 credits to see. the chat models are ok, but not great, and all in all the community goes unheard when reaching out in discord. this was a great app, but now its barely functional and i am stuck with it for a my year sub. I wouldn't spend money, there are much better options out there. even SFW content is now blocked without explanation.

This app is great... When it actually works. There are a couple image prompts that, when I was using them before, it always worked. And then recently when I tried using them with different images, or even just combining two photos, they rarely ever work. It's REALLY annoying.

it used to be overall pretty good, but since the latest update, if I even dare try giving an image a different body type than the average skinny flat girl, it just says "No, screw you" and doesn't generate anything. I'd say revert this update, but be real, app companies don't care about feedback.

I'm only doing 3 vs 4 or 5 stars because of recent issues but otherwise it's a pretty good app or was because its now overly sensitive towards words now and have been acting up recently which is making it impossible at the moment to create any images without it being blurred out no matter what you really creating. I don't mind being it somewhat sensitive but it shouldn't be as bad as it is as this past week or so I have noticed.

what was a wonderful app is now unusual nanny garbage. everything trips the NSFW censor even if it's not even remotely suggestive. 100% cancelling my subscription and feel royally duped having only had it for a couple of months. paying for another 10 months of useless garbage? weak....

If the app is rated mature, then allow for mature, NSFW content and stop blocking words. If a creation is flagged as NSFW, then disallow it to be shared, or only allow it to be viewed by paid users. But creating and downloading to personal devices should be perfectly acceptable. Mature rating should allow for mature content and not block it. Either give us the mature content that this app is rated for, or give us our money back. This is not what we paid for. And fix your AI chat system.

Refuses to generate images, misunderstands prompts and wastes resources used to generate. I had to retry getting an image from a chat like 3 times and even though the bots can be "racy" they will never generate any kind of nudity. the good thing is, if you try to edit an image and it times out, it returns the coins or whatever. but NOT IN THE CHATS! every regeneration costs 100 coins.

I give it a three because it's still a good and awesome response, but they need to redo some of the restrictions.

I loved this app when I first started using it. the chatting was fun and varied. the image creator was great. and then the filters started and the censorship and now, I can't even have a mildly spicy conversation with a chat bot that's clearly made for much more. Recently gave it 5 stars but had to change it because they updated the pictures and chat. everything is just worse now. it went from PG13 sometimes PG18 to now just 1 or 2 regular pictures recycled over and over again. No creativity in the AI it just makes the pictures as simple as possible. Also the chat looses it's mind sometimes. it will say things that are incomprehensible or just doesn't make any sense at all. It can also forget things like 5 minutes later which it used to not do

Just started a story where two female rouges joined my party and somehow we have a chicken thats a permanent party member and his name is Reginald Von Peckington the 3rd and I'm losing it! *edit* I'm lowering the rating specifically for one little feature I think the app should have. Being able to edit my own responses for mistakes. it gets frustrating when I accidentally send an incomplete response and it ends up messing up the immersion.

Started off as a great art app. intuitive and gave great results. had a lot of settings you could change with prompts for specific outfits or characters. but now theyre trying to turn into another white noise chatbot. haven't updated their art resource character databases in months. nothing new except "create a character and then talk with them!" like every other chat app out there.

It's fine, the art generator is kinda fun to mess with when I have downtime, but the censorship is kinda buggy, like I once put in a prompt that didn't have anything wrong with it, and it got censored, and when I tried it again, it went through without issue... honestly, I feel like since other generators use it, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a verify age to toggle it, so people wouldn't get prompts blocked randomly, and to keep community posts safe have nsfw unable to be posted or commented

The AI forgets a lot of major details of the story, it makes up lies about what happened in the story, and it turns characters against me for stupid reasons. It will randomly reset characters to default. I paid for the "smart" version, and it doesnt seem that smart. It was fun, but only if the stories you make are simple. Going into any detail seems to confuse the AI. Please fix it.

App is OK. Unless you're trying to do actual art with real, "sensetive" words. So don't describe a bosom, or breasts, or cleavage, or you'll get flagged. One cannot determine the strength of the style on the photo. Its a predetermined strength. Which does not work with all photos. Plus, the constant cash grab is off putting. Not intuitive.

Okay, despite some problems here and there, I actually like this app again.

The customer service is poor. Cool program but due to them adding the auto reject for pictures that I think are not at all sex content and I've seen worse posted on the app, so I don't get it and I've been a weekly subscription probably going to cancel soon, Tried to contact customer service got a robot then it didn't answer my question s and then it stopped talking to me, so yeah used to be awesome app but not anymore

After working with this a few months, I can say it has some issues. memory lapses for starters. the AI is easily confused and has trouble following the line of thought. Characters don't follow a logical concept. for example at one point in a story someone drove away in a vehicle but the other person left behind could still listen to things said from miles away. you have some work to do.

you can only get every 5 messages before you need more energy, it's annoying, plus the fact it's a little confusing because you find both chats and more so you end up getting lost.

It's a solid generator. My sole issue with it is that it's labeled as 17+ yet blurs out NSFW content? Why bother generating the content if the user can't see it? It's not my fault the AI spits out something like that–even when unprompted–yet it uses a slot from one of the 4+ I choose to generate. Also, how am I supposed to give 'Feedback' when I can't even see the image? Change the age rating of the app if you can't see it despite generation, or add a setting to toggle it on or off.

No longer follows prompts with it's AI video creations? I guess this app is dying!

There's such a minute variety of what the Ai can do now because of intense moderation. It is no longer worth using. The chat bot is pretty intense, but not the main feature, which is free image generation. You can basically make any anime girl, which is nice but short-lived, to say the least. I preferred the ad-dump to this universally singular direction.

It keeps changing my replies or speaking for me like im supposed to continue a conversation with myself, and the nickname isn't being used properly. It was decent for the most part though

will cancel soon, far too restrictive They say create with no restrictions, THERE ARE many restrictions and most are just silly, until days ago worked "fair" now, disappointing, becoming useless. Once again the tweaking of the app renders it unable to produce the end result. So sad,
