Background playback randomly breaks even with no other media or audio playing. Frequently fails to play locally-saved files, giving a "file not found" error. Reduced to 1 star after realising it's their awful ad-integration breaking the app every time it tries to play an ad.

It's pretty good, exactly what I'd want from an app like this, but it seems to push ads from the American alt right more often than even normal YouTube does these days. I'm trying to relax and suddenly I hear a divorced man talking about how trans women are the scariest thing ever or that colonialism is good actually. Man I'm trying to listen to music not to the news. I'm not sure what's causing this push of PragerU but please fix whatever isn't working about ad settings.

great app, except for the way they have ads. you need those to make money, I get it. but why not have them muted by default? rated 1 star for now, definitely isn't getting 5 irregarduhhless if I can manage to fix the issue due to there being no way to contact anyone about problems unless you download an entirely separate app (what's app) for what seems just to be other users.. especially given that you have to start a free trial and then pay to use this, it's annoying. it's annoying to have it close and shut down anytime you open any other apps, even with allowing it to display over other apps.

Everything is fine except for this recent glitch. While playing a song, I try to exit back to home, but a sort of transparent version of what you would see on the screen of a song playing pops up. So, I see the weird glitch and the home screen, disabling me from going to the search bar, picking a song from home, etc. Hope this can be fixed soon

Why are their ads popping up in this app now? I paid for the pro/premium version. Something is wrong because normally if I install the app on a device and go through the setup process, it says "purchase restored" but it's no longer saying that. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times just to make sure it wasn't a glitch and every time it is the same deal. It looks like the ads are coming from YouTube itself. If the premium experience that I paid for has been removed I want a refund.

its a great app with lost potential. 1 the ads are ok i dont mind them. 2 sometimes it just stops playing so i have to reopen the app to continue playing. 3 sometimes whenmi go to continue playing music it says reloading the page and then freezes and crashes. once again a good app with lost potential.

Good app for playing videos in the background. The only issue is that the first time I do it, it stops the video, causing me to have to close the app and repeat. Also, while I appreciate the need for ads, some of them are a bit long. Aside from that decent app that allows me to listen to white noise while sleeping. Thanks Devs!

This app is good for background music play, i like to use it very much and you can use it without login as well. there are too many that you can Navigate from playback means also work as a browser as well. there is a setting in this app.

I love this app so much but for the past few months it's been crashing constantly. I use it to listen to yt while doing other things on the phone but when I switch to another app, it crashes a few seconds later (recent development). Another issue is when I open it & the screen is blank. Also, every evening around 8pm, it just stops playing in the background & will only play if it's open. Still giving a 5⭐️ bc I'm sure it's just smthg they will eventually fix.

2 months later and I'm still receiving problems from this app. everytime I play a YouTube Video for more then 20 minutes, it restarts the page and I'll have to play the video over again. this has happened to me like 30 separate times across two months and All I watch on there is 1+ hour podcasts. Good app for background playback, but it needs a fullscreen landscape video mode. Currently videos cannot be viewed properly in fullscreen. Please add fullscreen landscape support in a future update.

One of the most usefull apps I have. I'm able to play whatever i want while doing other tasks on my phone. Honestly my life ran on easy mode after downloading playback.

The ads that pop up are mildly annoying, because whatever service you're using already has them, other then that, a great app.

Your app is the best, but there is only one issue: on YouTube, it pauses after running for some time. If that gets rectified, then your app will be the best.

It works just fine now after a couple of issues but now I have a new issue but I know it's not the apps fault but still gonna cry about it here. the ADs are annoying as hell, not that it's ads there but the nonstop NFSW ads that keep popping up are so annoying and whilst being at work around people makes it even worse. Right, except looping isn't an advanced feature - just like most of the other features you wanted money for. I don't have a problem with paying for things that are worth paying for. The ability to loop is not something worth paying for. Many other apps don't charge for it. You just want an excuse to ask people for money. You probably copied the code for the functionality anyway. There probably are no costs for app upkeep. You're just greedy. So, I say again, worthless app

I literally don't have any complaint. This is the BEST background player EVER! I deleted Spotify because it literally made choosing our own songs and lyrics a part of the PREMIUM! Then I regretted a bit because I couldn't find any background playing app like Spotify. And then I found PLAYBACK! Seriously, This app is so good. works just like any browser. there's no change. This is such a nice app but now there is a problem occuring from 4 months that when I open the video or music to listen and click on background play option, instead of playing it in background, it always paused. I tried so much to fix it but I can't. So this is a humble request to you to fix this problem please or suggest me anything that I can do to fix it.

this app is absolutely horrible when you have a good connection to wifi if says web page not available because connection lost just because your OUTSIDE OF YOUR HOUSE?? it overall just glitches half the time and needs improvement and it needs alot should be closed down. Excellent app for playing media in the background. It has a PIP (Floating Video) feature but it's not useful as it only functions in portrait mode and it does not resize nor move around. It uses an internal browser to access YouTube accounts for easier access to personalized media and that's useful and smart. I use a background addon with Firefox to play youtube videos in the background but with this app I can access content from my internal folders which Firefox cannot do.

Does what it's supposed to, I can watch YouTube while doing other things, I can turn off my screen and listen to some videos, I can quickly go to the video to tur off an ad and go back to what I was doing and most importantly I can log into my YouTube account. The video quality isn't outstanding and it sometimes lags, but that might just be my old phone. App is great, will continue using it 👍 Edit: I just learned I can basically skip ads on YouTube while using this app, it's incredible.

5 STARS!!! This app is definitely the next best background music player other than peak player. App is easy to use. Video ads dont pop up, only picture-like --[ Idk what it's called ]-- ads that takes a second to close. Perfect for me who needs music or noise in the background when playing games or doing work. App is horrible as of late. Like other people described, it force closes randomly and doesn't let me do other things like text/ do doordash which was never a problem on my old phone or months ago the service. I can't stand the way it is now with songs stop playing for no reason then gotta force stop app and restart the homepage of youttube music becomes blank. The loop button is not working since the last YouTube update, I guess! I've been using the app for quite a long time. I've also purchased the paid version. I've updated the playback app. Yet the loop button has not been working recently. Please take a look. Other than that this app is a great background player!

I really like playing YouTube music while doing other things, ie looking up a recipe and checking messages which doesn't work without this app. It still plays the YouTube ads, and can't play over games which is annoying, but that's YouTube and the game's fault. I like looking for favorite songs and albums and the many play options it has. I'd love to make a play list, I've heard you can, but don't know how, so ,a little prompt or direction would be great, but it does save all my history.

I've had this app for about, 2 months now.. I'm not sure, and it's been going amazing, up until now. I go to change songs, and it just freezes, and I'm stuck on the song that's playing, then when it sorta unfreezes I exit out of the song and it just freezes on the homepage of the yt music area, I also recently just downloaded it back to see if it'd stop, but it didn't.

The app is great for playing YouTube in the background while using other apps, and it works smoothly most of the time. The only downside is a rare glitch (about once every month or two) where videos pause every few minutes unless skipped, but it usually fixes itself after a couple of days. Overall, very useful and convenient. Definitely 5 stars if this gets fixed .

wow the devs are doing a great job. I love how you can play YouTube videos in the background while using other apps! It does not lag or glitch at all, ads are not heavily breathing next to your ears and there are no ads in the middle of the video. Excellent App, One Key Suggestion! This app works great and does exactly what it's supposed to! I'm really impressed with its performance. However, I have one crucial feature suggestion: add an option to automatically pause audio playback when headphones or earbuds are unplugged. Also, find a few bugs, and I hope it will clear the next update

Pretty good. It let's me listen to any YouTube video via browser. I just have one gripe. While my screen is off, it will stop playing music after 2 or 3 songs. It will stay that way until I open my lock screen, then it resumes. I would like to listen to music while I'm far away from my phone and not have it interrupted by a random stop.I hope this problem gets resolved soon. Overall, pretty good.

I really loved this app when I first used it but I had to delet it. Now that I redownload it, it didn't work like it used to. I don't know where the problem, I've deleted and downloaded it several times but it still does not work. Not a single platform would work, it would just keep loading until it fully stops with a black screen. Please fix this problem, I don't want to lose such a great app.

did exactly what it needed to do. I do have one recommendation. that is too add the Better Lyrics browser extension for YT Music, but otherwise, a perfect app. Synced Lyrics are something I'm not discounting a point for as it is something you use while in the app, so the ability to do karaoke is useless in the background, and using a separate app is a reasonable compromise for this essential feature.

When I first started to use this app, it was great, funtioned just like Spotify! But starting from these two months, the screen would be glitching everytime I come out from the app, or even when I off my phone. I really love this app! I love learning languages & with this app I just open youtube & play native content in the background & use it for immersion. You can hear the videos in the background whether the phone is on or off, but the problem is that the previous updates were legendary, as you could watch the video in the background, but now when I want to press the button to show the video On the background, it does not work. The best music listening app I've tried so far! I used to use Mi Music and if you people still use it, you could switch to this app! Mi Music had an update and now when you search for something, there are videos from TikTok too and it's difficult to search for YT videos! But with this app you can listen from whatever source you choose to which I like a lot! The best alternative to Spotify, SoundCloud or Mi Music!

Decent app, suitable after the one I was using previously, was discontinued. However, if using youtube, for example, then the adds are annoying, but worse, after every video played, it mutes itself meaning you have to go into the app and manually unmite the video every time.

It's great for being able to put nearly anything into the background and not need to stay on the screen and gives you full searchablitiy unlike other apps. But I don't know if its just me but when it comes to actually using the app it doesn't always accept the touch input. My screen touch works perfectly but when using this app I either need to click multiple times, reload or reopen the app to get it to respond

DUDE!, This app is pretty good. I can play music and sound with it now, I don't know about the other apps but I think this is my favorite one so far. (not glazing it) I used music tube for a while before the update bugged it and I couldn't play music in the background. also please add a loop system and a background, like for an example. you like your music that you listened to and you want it to play it again without having it to start it again

It's a nice player: haven't used for long, true, but can say that it has the needed functions to praise it. From background playing to downloading content in a few taps. True, you now are stuck with the browser version of whatever you are watching, but it's not that different in the end and the advantages out weight the disadvantages.

APP is providing very nice service. Seriously it is an amazing app to listen my favorite music in background. I'm enjoying this for last one year with subscription. Only one problem that irritating me it's voice searching option is not working properly. It's not work when I go for search via microphone it doesn't search anything. Please increase mic search option that can understand my voice and provide a result as I need. Allover service is good.

I really enjoy using the app—it's user-friendly and offers great content. However, it would be even better if you could add a feature to download videos. There are times when I'm in areas with poor or no internet connection, and having the ability to watch downloaded videos would make a huge difference. Please consider adding this feature!

Bugs out sometimes, as in the entire app stops receiving the inputs I tap in properly, and no, it's not the internet. It's the spaghetti code this app runs on, it worked miracles always but since I changed phones it's been having input issues. AND NO ITS NOT THE PHONE EITHER, it seems as if every time I install this app, it runs smooth for about a minute, then it starts receiving my taps like 5 seconds later. Absurd. Either way good app, doing gods work 💪💯

Firefox browser is much better and is way more private, this app tracks and collects your information heavily to sell for profit and has a number of glitches/bugs. They also don't have any options to request the deletion of the data they collect on you. Do not trust these goons. If you care at all about privacy I recommend using something like Firefox instead, they actually care about privacy and FireFox even blocks ads. There's no competition.

It's an app that does what it should! Audios and videos play in the background just fine, and the app is definitely usable. The only problem is that the apps browser locks up at some point if I tab back into it and won't accept any input. It gets quite annoying, and I really hope you guys can find the bug. I would give five stars if this bug is resolved. The phone I use for this is a Samsung galaxy s21 if you are wondering.

It lacks proper randomisation on YouTube playlists. As of now when you press "randomise" on a playlist of 100 songs, the app starts on random song from first to twentieth-ish video and then it just continues to play them in order, like 6th, 7th, 8th and so on. Would love to see it doing something like 15th, 68th, 34th, and so on. Other than that the app is awesome.

You basically get Picture-In-Picture if your phone doesn't have it. And you get background play for all videos (AND you don't have to pay for that!? So cool! YouTube should take tips) Very few ads as far as I'm concerned. Overall great app My only issue is there's a pop-up ad that blocks the whole Bookmark section, so you'd have to quit the app so the ad goes away. It plays but everything else freezes so you can't control anything. It constantly flickers and is very glitchy plus it makes youtube go off of every 30 secs so you can't view or read anything. I tried to reinstall several times but without success. It's not my phone as I have a Samsung S23 which works perfectly. I've noticed many others are saying similar. So, if you can get it to work then we'll done to you. But I can't. Therefore, I'm uninstalling and will try a similar app I can actually use

Nice but there's two ads, one coming from You Tube and the other coming from the app itself. There are already web browsers like Brave and Firefox which also has background audio playback and plus it has ad block. Would like it if this app could block or reduce the ads. Also, I would have liked to see a "repeat" or loop button to play the YouTube video on a continuous loop. Also I hope this app still supports Android 7 in the future (I am using an old phone).
