This sucks. You should be able to cancel your parking if you're done early to get a credit for next time. We are forced to use this fee encrusted 'service'.

Usefully "forgets" my settings to turn off SMS (and associates fees) every so often. Enough with a service charge but being fleeced for messages is the cherry on top.

6 days visitor permit parking for £6.10 and today try to pay and is gone up to £12.30 Ealing Council plus this company trying to make money out of our pocket. This is a joke and unfair.

Everytime I try to download this app, it just restarts my phone. The same thing happened to my friends phone.

I can't even download it without it crashing my phone. It won't even download. It starts to download, restarts my phone, continues to download, crashes my phone, restarts my phone. Then I have to download it again. And the whole entire process restarts

Used to be great. Now almost every time I use it, says the parking spot doesnt exist. I deleted and reinstalled app. Same nonsense. Not sure what happened but the app is garbage now.

Error messages can be confusing, but otherwise great app/system.

Thiefs; hard to set up and they charge you for sending you a reminder your time is about to expire, I can use my phone clock, and they charge you for confirmation too, confirmation of what? Galveston, Tx also must have different ways to pay and not just this bad app. same also on Galveston City Tx major

poor, needs consumer input prior to release. I used this in Cincinnati and it did not offer me the renewal option. I went to my car to confirm the parking spot number as the proximity detection did not work. Even though I had initiated an account, I had to re-enter ALL my data. Clearly the worst of the 3 parking apps I have on my phone.

Fees are ridiculous Convenience fee is 50% of the parking cost. Then there is another $0.30 SMS fee. So I am paying close to double the cost of parking. Uninstalled... Going back to carrying quarters.

These pilfering swines just charged me for a car park that was out of charging time. They won't give me my money back even if I provide photographic evidence. The app charges a processing fee... so it is usually cheaper to just use the machines at the car park itself. In short paybyphone is just rubbish and the app is just terrible.

I am forced to use 4 other parking apps because municipalities refuse to get on the same page. We should really only need 2 or 3 at the most. I've now had more experience with these apps than I'd like. PayByPhone falls to the bottom of the list so far. Harder to set up your account and payment methods. Clumsy interface. Asks for permissions & cookies it does not need. The app clearly states that it accepts PayPal, but it does not. Tried to contact support, but got a useless AI chatbot instead.

the one thing that needs correcting is being able to set the parking time to specific times.

Please add a feature where you can back pay/ grace period for the parking in case you've forgotten to pay.

Slower than other park-pay apps, and I'm less than thrilled to pay 1/3 more than I would with coins as a transaction fee.

This is a great, to the point parking app. It's easy to use let's you extend your time if you are going to need more where you are parked at.

Any good reason why I should have a secure lock on my phone to use this app? Also why the app doesn't work anymore if wireless scan is not enabled???

advertisements suck

It's a little bit more expensive then it says on the board but switching of text alerts reduces the charges. It's a common app so can be used in many places and is easy to navigate once you're used to it.

Absolutely appalling app, not recognising payments repeatedly, no human to speak with, obvious no intention to offer support, embarrassingly bad, hopefully they'll cease to exist if this government bother to launch an integrated parking app, as they spout they're going to.

You will pay extra by using that app, pay at the terminal cheaper. try to avoid it if possible

This is a good app. But the app annoyingly and persistently showing 3 adverts every time i confirm a parking. I keep having to decline them.

As a traveller and using only a few times it's much easier than finding coins.

There is advertising in the app, which hinders your ability to use the app. Horrible fraudulent app.

I was surprised how good this was. Perhaps I am being influenced by the fact that this car park is cheap to park in for the time I want.

issue with payment app has worked fine for 2 years. now declined credit card. bank say app issue. app no one to talk to just gives a list of things to try done them all. conclusion tells me to pay at machine or park somewhere else. great thanks for being useless

Payment verification broke the app for me.

in Paris, when you start residence parking time say at 9:02 am on Monday for 6 days then you cannot stop it before same time next Monday. This is very inconvenient because I am not available to renew the parking at that exact time each week. The app should use only full days on residency mode but allow to stop/start at any time while the park itself would start immediately or at the nearest start park time the next day and stop at the end park time the last day. We pay per day It should be easy.

Selecting the pay method does not work (Canada), pressing on google pay or paypal doing nothing.

Lousy, lazy useless app. If this is how we are having to pay in future at least make sure your app has sufficient capacity to cope with demand. Either boost the signal or ensure there is an alternative method of payment...ie A MACHINE.....

Really easy to use

Setting up this app is slow, and I had to do it twice. Not great to waste ten minutes when I want to park and go. Furthermore, it wanted to charge extra for text notifications. I made sure to turn that off. Local governments shouldn't use this app until it improves its interface and doesn't try to nickel and dime customers.

Worked for years just fine. And then someone removed the login by email / password and made phone number required. And passwords cannot exceed 20 characters. So now I am in a parking lot trying to be fast and smooth and this stupid app requires a full re-registration? One customer less...

keep getting error about something going wrong on the app end so cannot renew parking, likely will get a ticket, just pay at the machine and avoid the frustration of this app. AVOID AT ALL COSTS I emailed support with screenshots. The main issue is that we, the app users, want to be able to renew parking without having to go back to the car/lot. This is really your USP and you failed here. So fix this I guess.

Update, I've altered my review from 1 star to 4. After having massive problems today I eventually got through past the robot to customer services via email. We still had the problem of my account being suspended but the online team sorted my problem out. They deleted my old account completely and I then managed to open the app and sign in again as a new customer. I can't give it 5 stars yet until I use the app again but a big Thank You to Andile at the Paybyphone support team.

does not load locations when selecting nearby locations. Has me chose country when it is already set to US, doesn't work without WiFi not Mobile data.
