Very simple to use, though it doesn't have as many features as others do. It does give (some of) what's premium for free and gives creative names to brushes. It's not targeting twords beginners nor experienced, but it's good for staring. It uses some AI, forgot to mention that. Absolutely recommend 4/5

I love this app and Ive been using it for more than 2 years now! My only problem is that the timelapse gets wipe out when the app crashes :((

This app has issues that NEEDS to be fixed. Sometimes when I color on a layer thats not at the very top, it will darken/bold the line art. My progress still gets deleted when I close the app at times and some pieces won't open at all. When I go to erase on a layer that's not at the very top it will turn into a square and erase more of the area than I intended. When I import pictures, the drawing won't save or when I try to back out it'll just load.

I love this it has so many great options!

it kept crashing all the time, but one of the hard airbrushes were VERY nice and satisfying, BUT I CANT EVEN OPEN MY CANVASSES AND USE THE BRUSH BECAUSE IT CRASHED SO MUCH.

The app is stuck in Chinese; selecting a different language in the app settings doesn't work. I'm using ZUXos Edit: never mind, it's just my tablet Lenovo legion gen4 only have china rom, I'm already install the older version of the rom to fix. but I think hipaint also need a language pack itself, not just use the device language pack

App suddenly deleted my line art and I couldn't recover it. Give up with it as it regularly crashes anyway

On this app, I have got no adds, and that already makes it five stars for me. You can also easliy import images for refence. My only complain is I can't find the lasso tool but y'all probably can. Whoever made this app is the goat, It is so hard to find an art app that's free, good, and doesn't have adds, I just started using this app and I already have made some of my favortie pieces.

hi im Artist "Jawnai" I've used the app for various drawing projects and it's excellent. I'm giving it an honest rating. I'd like to report another issue: while I was drawing, a notification popped up at the bottom, and I was forced to exit the app. When I reopened, my work was gone, which was very disheartening. However, I still want to see further development, especially regarding color features like shading (like a ball effect) and understanding color harmonics. Thank you Hipaint team😉✨️

At first was dismissive, until figuring out how to import and even better, discovered gradient maps. Solid art program. Do wish there was more brushes and a clearer import for brushes.

this is a really cool app I just hate the UI, like the symmetry tool takes up a lot of the screen and it gets annoying very fast

great app for art but there like ads for the opening, ads for opening art, and ads for closing the art, and ads if the phone turns back on, it sucks there ads every 20 secs and it really sucks, these ads are very inappropriate as well

I haven't had the app for very long but I really thought this was the closest to procreate I could find. I've used this one the longest it out all the others I've tried, with only a few minor inconveniences. but the app crashed my entire tablet, couldn't even restart it, and then the next time I opened the app there were ads. unsure if I just didn't notice them before, but the ads are on launch, and switching in between projects. they are long and unskippable or shuts the app down

I love loveeeee this app I used to use ibis paint x but recently switched over to hipaint I dont regret it but however I dont like how the app crashes sometime randomly and id appreciate it if u add a qr brushes code import option or a brush store or website to download brushes cuz its so hard to find good brushes online..

The best app I found ever!! I found it really good! Everything is free to use. I don't mind ads at all. The ads are short and don't interrupt while drawing. I hope this app will keep it like this always ✨ I love it!!

I genuinely love this app, but these glitches are becoming unbearable. Parts of my drawings randomly disappear even when I’m not using the eraser, and pressing undo only makes things worse, erasing even more of my work. I’ve permanently lost progress multiple times, and it’s incredibly frustrating. I really hope these issues get fixed because I want to keep using an app I love without constantly fearing losing my work.

(Oct 13, 2026) No problem. Works perfectly well (August 31, 2026)Ads are back. (August 31 2025) Ads are showing up in the paid version 😤 (June 5, 2025) It works alright. (June 4, 2025) Has been working pretty well. That's until it started to refuse to stay open and just crashes with an error message: Sorry, APK exception, will be exit". That's after the new update. (Dec, 2024) It hangs up and exits a project when I tap two fingers to undo.

I like the app but it keeps randomly closing my drawing whit out my input the issue is still happening and it's starting to make me consider switching apps

it's good!, clean interface, smooth lines, and it's quite easy to use! but my only problem is that every time I use the animation thing the time line is just in the way. if the interface was like FlipaClip like the timeline was on the bottom of the screen and you can still zoom in without the timeline being everywhere , and when you use the lasso tool, the same thing happens. the lasso menu is everywhere. but overall it is good! the ads don't really appear so it's good

I won't lie, this is a good app. I love how smooth it is & the brushes provided. Though, there are two things that bug me. First, the ads. There are too many in my opinion, getting an ad every time you dare to open the app is tiring. Secondly, it erases most of my artwork! I use the watercolor brush to blend colors for drawings/under the line art. But, when I color underneath it, it takes the line art. Then, when I erase a mistake? Erases everything! Is this a bug? Help!

Great when it works, but can't get past the ads anymore

The bucket tool is completely broken and ignoring my line art. My layer setup is perfect color layer underneath line art, lines are solid, and I have the "multiple squares" (All Layers) button turned on. But the bucket tool just bleeds right through my lines and floods the whole canvas anyway. Even dropping the tolerance all the way down doesn't fix it. It literally acts like my line art layer isn't even there. Please patch this layer referencing bug ASAP, it's making the app unusable.

this is so good

the app is still buggy and isn't optimized for desktop usage. the UI is very nice but overlapping elements can quickly clog up the screen or even cover other functions (such the undo and redo arrows). if you rely on strong pen stability, this app is great for you. if not, you'll find it fraustrating because finer brush strokes will disappear. I like being able to share files with the attached references. but it's hard for me to see using the program often because of how the app force exits.

This app is actually really good but the only problem of this app that, when using the transform tool it becomes blurry when applied or scale and moved. I wish they update the transform tool and give more option to it.

Unusable. The ads don't let you move past them no matter how long you wait or anything. Reporting the problem does nothing. I tried closing the app and reloading it, but it's still broken. A huge disappointment that this is still such a huge issue. I just wanted to be able to draw and instead they try to force you to give your location that they do not need. I guess I'll be going to Procreate once I get an apple pencil. Don't waste your time unless you want to pay for it monthly or yearly.

right off the bat it looks a lot like procreate, then menu the slider size and opacity on the left is practical seen that I'm in a Lenovo tab I don't have procreate but thanks for this drawing app that prepares me to use procreate for my future, it also have some really cool features like paint bucket or animation, I usually like all the brushes in the brush selection it is pretty obvious that when it's loading my canvas it shows me an ad but that's okay , thank your hipaint.

I like this app and bought the ad-free version, but the fact that everything gets blurry after using the transform tool is kind of a dealbreaker for me. If you fixed that, I would recommend hipaint to anyone. Just lassoing and sliding something over without stretching or resizing it makes it blurry. No other drawing apps have that problem, and as someone who values the quality of my lineart, it makes a very basic and common feature unusable and makes me not want to continue using hipaint

This app is absolutely incredible and amazing. It has great tools, brushes, UHH and the app is cool yeah better than ibispaint. Although theres so many bugs, especially 2 specific ones that pisses me off, My drawing oftenly doesnt get saved, And The brushes dissapearing for No reason. I cant even reimport it again, please fix it and il consider giving 5 star, And uhhhh please make more guidance on the tools, its confusing for beginners, Thanks!

HiPaint is amazing!

I really love the app but I'm having problems seeing my art, only the background and two new layers when it's supposed to be lots of layers that are in two groups😢 This is making me panic, I worked so hard on my drawing.. Update: So, I lost my artwork, hah... I reinstalled and it's gone. I won't lie, I'm heartbroken. I recommend log ins.

Insane number of ads. Installed on my 8 year old's tablet. Required five playable ads before it ever let us get into the app. Then we switched apps for a second (without ever doing anything in HiPaint) and it gave us a seventh ad. No way to exit out of them. Took 5-10 minutes before we were able to draw anything. Completely unreasonable.

a drawing app that has a button to prevent rotating or zooming the canvas which is insane The only complaint I have is.. the max brush size, it should be something high like 1000 or 3000

this is just so worth it for animation and arts, I honestly thought that the features will have more variations, but it's still super worth it for someone who can't afford toonsquid or FlipaClip pro for no watermark. highly recommended

Please update with Magnetic Snapping and Canvas Border Radius design clipping. Besides that very good for art creation.

great features yet unreliable. I've summited bug reports, uninstalled the app and installed it again, messed with every setting yet it still crashes and lotsa weird glitches keep appearing that turn your drawings into blank layers with no way to undo it. I WANT to love this app but this issue genuinely renders it unusable. Also if you dont like the ads at the bottom you can click them and they dissappear for a while.

this could easily be my favourite drawing app aside ibispaint but unfortunately its get laggy at certain times which make the experience of using this app is unpleasant. one time it just deleted my rendered piece out of the blue when i used the eraser to fix small mistakes :/

Well, This app is VERY GOOD as HELL very, very good and this app is also best for beginners artists. but there is a problem sometimes this app starting to crash during drawing and destroy everything, I lost my arts because of this damn glitch. I hope dev will FIX this problem plus I hope they add some new features, brushes.

Now that it has subscription only option for the basic features like exporting an animation to mp4 and stuff, I am switching to a different app, the app is great but the subscription model is not something I wanna deal with when even basic features are being pay walled

in terms of actually drawing, it's pretty good. as an ibispaint x user I was able to get the hang of the UI pretty quickly. it has most of ibispaints features and some more. however, the app is pretty glitchy and registers accidental touches as strokes. maybe it's a setting i must turn off. and the ads. OH MYGOD THE ADS. every 30 seconds a pop up appears, and not like those 10 second ones. 30 secs, one minute, and more. the brushes are also kinda limited. all in all, I'd say just download ibis.

a very good app easy to use didn't get my phone warmer but there's too many adds were you open it okay i change my mind there's LACK of good brushes and i wish we could've just imported brushes instead of being stuck with those bad brushes (also not to mention you can't even create good brushes)

Girl, this app is incredible especially when drawing but I'm really having a bad time creating an animation in this app. I suggest making every frame an each layer because It's stressing going back with your messy sketch and line art while not seeing well between with your previous frame because your messy sketch is on the way. And when you're trying to import some brushes mostly I don't see my imported brushes.

I need a cloud for this app or some kind of archive that isn't just saving the files and sending it to another device. I've lost alot of art & playbacks edit: the ads have became excessive

I've been using it for a while now, and it's very positive! no ads at all and you're very free to get your own brushes and fonts! (for the fonts, it's a bit hard to get... I hope they add more customization to it. I do love the customization for the layout, supeeeerrr!!!! FOR THE BRUSHES THOO...Maybe I just haven't figured it out? overall, 10/10 hehe. they could add a few more brushes

This is my favourite drawing app ive ever had. There is one thing that bothers me, sometimes I want to just browse my art, but everytime I press a drawing the date changes to that same day and I want to know when I drew it with the dates. so if the dates just didn't change expecially if im not even drawing or putting anything new, so the dates are just the day i made tge drawing fyrst, or the 1st day to last day. But otherwise I love this app and I use it religiously

Very good but i still have some take notes, when I first used the application it's really good and its satisfied me when I start sketching and coloring! the only problem that i've exprienced is the lack of blending tools.. like i would recommend some brush that can blend color easily such as watercolor brushes i think? you get what i want to say but overall its a high quality art application ngl! i hope more blending options will be added in the future:))

ive ran into a problem for when you open the app itll some times just not open most of the time. I hope I dont run into this again but other then that great for drawing when it works

everything was working fine until I held down on a pixel to see which layer it was on when the whole layer disappeared except that pixel and I couldn't get my drawing back. fix your issue hipaint I spent so much time doing exactly the stuff on that layer for you to remove it and let me do it all over. this app is decent for drawing I loved it until this happened and I hope you add auto save because I am not saving it manually I do not have the time when I'm drawing. it's stupid

the animation tool is amazing but it would be better if there was an audio import in my opinion, if there is i haven't found it yet

Couldn't get past the first game advertisement. Didn't want to play or download game, and no exit button was visible. Never got to Hipaint. Had to click hamburger button and then push Hipaint and advertisement off screen.

It's good! Really super easy to use and the 9nly thing I likeabout this is bc am not LAGGING. whenever I use other drawing app, like ibis-paint x, I genuinely lag when I pick 3000+ Ppi :) and like, yes. I'll still probably use Ibispaintx and THIS AND My other drawing apps am using cuz I multitask yk😋

the brushes are fire but once I start getting through the options on changing my brushes? it'll start to lag which means it would 50/50 crash and stop or lag frfr

Amazing app. Feels professional. I don't really like the brushes but I can always make new ones.

Its been full of bugs since recently. It erases in box shape, it'll crash and delete your entire drawing or remove parts of it. I'd be tidying up the line art layer and it'll suddenly copy paste the entire color and image on the said layer. Then I can either erase carefully, which I mentioned isn't possible because it erases in boxes for some reason, or delete the entire layer and redo what I'd be working on. It's really disappointing. The app has potential to be great but rn it needs work.

I really like it but it's not really advanced as ibispaint. And if it were advanced as ibispaint, I hope some features aren't paid feature but just rely only ads. I don't really mind watching ads for using feature. But I do mind features that rely on subscriptions. ^_^

buggy drawing app. It erased half my progress of a progressing artwork. At first, it started when I pressed the undo button, then the drawing brush started bugging out, so I used eraser to remove the mistakes the bug did, but it made it worse. So I restarted the app and half the progress was gone.

It's not a bad app dont get me wrong. But the UI system and the whole brush settings needs tweaking since its mostly layout for a tablet and or pc setup than a mobile one. Especially with brush size being limited to a 1 px setting than the typical 0.5 px setting cause the huge gape between 1px and 2px bush size is crazy.

This Drawing app is Good And amazing but Can you PLEASE fix the bucket and instead add a normal bucket because I don't freaking know on how to Adjust the setting Goddamn 😭

great for drawing, theres a lot of feature for a free app. only gripe with it is that it always asks for my location when i open it, even though it functions perfectly fine without my location. i dont want this app to know where i live at all times so it can sell my data to advertisers. its alright bc i can deny it when it pops up but it still asks every time :/

I really love the clean and simple UI compared to other software. you also get many useful features for free and honestly I'm very comfortable using this app so far. But one thing that bothers me is when I want to make the canvas size bigger, the amount of layer I can create is also decreasing. I can't create an illustration with only 24 layers 😭

I've been using this app for 2 months now after trying a bunch of different apps on my Android. Everything is perfect except for the "artwork playback" option. It worked on exactly one artwork and hasn't been working since then. It shows nothing. I tried clearing the cache, checked for updates and everything. It just doesn't work.
