I paid all this money for this and have the subscripion, im not enjoying it at all. Dosnt want to work half the time anf now the app wont even open.

I like the app, but like many others I experience crashes mid-design and the app just spins. Then I have to close the app, relaunch it, and do the changes all over again.

They took a good app, added AI things to bog it down, and then added routine things now behind a pay wall. Corporate greed has won again. Its keeps defaulting to print than cut for something simple. What used to take minutes is now taking hours.

every time I upload an image it uploads it as a flat graphic/print then cut option, despite selecting the single-layer/one color silhouette option, so now I have to change it from print then cut to a basic cut every damn time I want to use the images

I would never recommend purchasing anything from cricut on the sole basis of how terrible this app is. A project that should take 5 to 10 minutes ALWAYS takes hours. Clicking on the image has a 45 second delay. Moving images, resizing, manipulating, any function of editing lags so horrendously its barely usable. I have such limited time and health to be able to work on art projects that the poor functioning of this app has completely removed my ability to use my products.

I cannot get a basic cut canvas, I'm stuck with Print then Cut which won't work for my projects. also the AI is annoying with the amount of space it takes up with no option to delete it from the app.

I discovered to my great disappointment that I can't use my computer to operate the Cricut I bought and have to use the phone app. I downloaded it and can't even get it to open. Just tells me it crashed every time I try. So this means I literally can't use the Cricut. Whoopie. What a waste of money. And from all the reviews it sounds like the app sucks anyway, requires a paid subscription and frequently malfunctions.

Terrible. Only connects to printer when it feels like it. It's slow, constantly popping up with other image suggestions even when you use your own art. you can only print with low image quality on mobile, MUST use computer to print have decent quality. Cricut thinks low quality print settings you can't change on apps are essential to waiting resources and ink. cricut supplies are not cheap. the app is completely useless . Should have brought from another brand !

i used to love this app, i could do simple and quick... now i tell the app to save one way and it saves how it wants, ie, i saved an image as a single layer silhouette and the app saved it as a print then cut mutple times. you guys change too much. you took a simple good app and overstimulated it!

App won't load :( I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and have gotten to the login screen, then nothing happens.

Freezes EVERY TIME I use it, not user friendly at all. I prefer to do my work on my tablet and the app never functions well especially compared with the computer version. Disappointed for how much the hobby costs.

I signed up for the 30-day free cricut access for a machine I checked out from a library. Just to see if I liked it and wanted to purchase one. Well I got the app to work one time to make their cricut logo, it came out great but now it wants to charge me for projects that say they are free with a 30-day cricut access trial sign up. I signed up less than 7 days ago it wants me to sign up again and pay for it. I just hate when companies lie!

Ever since my update it takes forever to load my design and to do basic editing. It was working great before the update but not now. Please fix it.

Will not open on multiple devices, before this could not upload images to canvas, I've been trying to make my grandma a card for weeks now and I can't.

I am frustrated I have been using the desktop and app for a few years. it was great intel recently. the desktop, the app keeps stalling and lagging behind. And it takes forever to do a project. it took me 5 hours the other day to do 3 lines of text and a few images for wood sign. Then , when I went to do the printing & cut , it wouldn't send it to the printer. on the app with the same project , I was able to open it , but it says that it's not able to sort it onto the mats. Absolute garbage. It's practically unusable, it isn't responsive, it's glitchy as Hell, and sod off with the AI nonsense. Nobody wants it.

This app is awful it never wants to load and when it does its so dang slow.

Every time I open Design Space it gets worse!! It's a terrible, terrible program but I'm forced to use it because of my Cricut (which I love). How can they make such an awful program??? It crashes, takes forever to load, it sends me ads, it's slow and cumbersome. It make me consider selling my Cricut and buying something else.

I changed my rating due to a the crashing since updates. I have removed and reinstalled app,clear cache..nothing but error. Ugh!!!

basic features get removed and are only available for payment. spending so much on machines, equipment and materials, i shouldn't have to also pay to use the products I already purchased. I would not purchase another cricut machine because of design space. I also am not a fan of all the AI integration and would like the money to be used instead to make the product worked as advertised when I purchased, not take away what features I used, to replace them with AI features I will never use.

Ive been using cricut for over a decade, The new update somehow made it even worst. It keeps making it "print and cut" and wont let me select cut. And now it doesn't even sync to my phone it just says unable to sync. It's time to switch machines. Been hearing great things about Vevor and a few others

app is freezing constantly these days

The new update on desktop doesn't allow you to move and zoom in at the same time when you manually take the background off an uploaded pick. the phone i can zoom in and still move the image to select the remainder spots I need edited but when on desktop it just allows me to zoom in but not move the image at all

App still sucks. There's really no excuse for this app to be this bad. Especially when the machine exclusively runs off of the software. It's not intuitive. It feels like a cheap craft software from the 1990s that I bought on floppy disk.

I am beyond pissed off with cricut. there is no way for me to upload a SVG using an Android device. It keeps wanting me to upload a picture. I DONT WANT JPEG, PNG, OR ANYTHING ELSE! JUST SVG! It was also very stupid of cricut to get rid of the web version of design space. My Windows laptop (only Windows computer in house) isn't working. We don't like Apple products so we don't own any. Design Space DOES NOT work on Google Chrome books either. So I'm forced to use my phone/tablet. IM PISSED OFF!

The mobile app for design space just kind of sucks. It continuously tells me my projects won't fit on standard 8.5 x 11 paper when I'm fully aware of that, my design is 12x12 for a reason! Which then it just refuses to let me cut anything unless it's smaller than 8.5x11. Changing the settings to any other size doesnt help as none of them reach 12" . I never had this issue with the desktop app. At least the UI is decent.

I am completely unable to use my machine. site will not allow me to log in. this should be a crime. I'm forced to purchase a new machine. I'll never buy another cricut again.

Not worth your time. app freezes. claims there's no internet connection when there is. doesnt upload files and constantly stays on a loading status.

barely works. you'll get used to it, and then it'll stop working the way it normally does. the "directions" that are plastered all over every menu are incorrect and don't reflect the way the app actually works. only use it because I have no choice. 0/5 if I could.

Initial experience is rather poor, some elements of the UI are cut off, the items keep getting deselected when I try to move the screen and navigate it. There are sure good elements to it but these basics are making the experience poor from the start. I came back to lower it to 1 star, the inability to normally "cut" grouped designs and the horrendous controls are just too much. Edit: I've sent a few bugs already, gonna return the Cricut Joy2 back to the store, it's frustratingly bad.

super bad glitch at the moment that makes all of my files cut and prints when I'm specifically making them silhouettes. there should only be cuts, no matter what I do it will not save it as a silhouette. i have to manually go in and change the operation to basic cut. this sets me back by HOURS because when a print to cut is saved it does not retain the size it was saved as and it chooses what size to make it, so now when work on my projects I have to manually change things to make sure it works

I use to love this app but haven't used it & a while and when I went in to use it yesterday I cannot figure out how to cut my vinyl it is so frustrating they keep updating and changing everything and I have a big order to fill smh ..

Overcomplicated, restrictive, and pushes subscriptions If you want a simple setup to print images and cut them, this software makes it painfully difficult. Custom images must upload through Cricut’s cloud instead of processing locally. Basic features like sticker outlines are locked behind paid Cricut Access subscriptions unless you use clunky workarounds. Sizing settings are hidden, unintuitive, and constantly reset. You’re forced through their system for every basic task.

there is no creativity anymore you either use their pictures or nothing. it's so frustrating this app used to be so amazing and I loved customizing gifts for loved ones now it's just a huge headache and not worth the time

Y update so much, each update is horrible. The BG removing tool leaves tons of pixels Years ago y'all removed the little window that showed additional pixels on the image. Now it's hard to tell where they're at, which increases cutting significantly. U hid my personal edits. The more updates u do, the more things it hides that are important! & then now this latest update keeps changing single layer to uploads like a photo. MOST ANNOYING APP EVER! JESUS CHRIST!!! and the constant lagging 🤦🏻‍♀️

Constantly giving errors, isn't compatible with Chromebook, and now it tells me the pen setting is not supported with my Maker 3.

I used to suggest cricut and their products to my other crafty friends. Now even I am looking for an alternative. everything I used to be able to do pre covid is stuck behind a pay wall. purchased projects have to be hijacked on design space. at this point I cant wait for my new silhouette.

I have tried and tried with this app to upload my design and cut it but it just doesn't work. it keeps saying "image not uploaded, check Internet connection" but I am connected. I have restarted my phone, I have updated the app, I have cleared the cache, I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, I have reset my Internet, and I've tried connecting to different Internets and it still won't work. Anyone have any advice?

This app somehow gets worse and worse with each update. There used to be an option to print/download print and save files but now it can't be done without actually being connected to a Cricut machine. It's so inconvenient when I want to access the print file to get a print without being next to my machine. why did you take this option away?

Lag. I've never had this problem before but I'm trying to design a quick tag and I can't resize anything. I get a spinning circle trying to simply move a text box. Something is very wrong with this app.

You guys really need to stop with the upselling. I bought the hardware, I buy the supplies, that should be enough. I know that private equity bros are pushing to squeeze every dime out of us but pitzing us off is only going to push us a way. The store and the software to use what I ALREADY PAID FOR should be two separate things, not blended together! ONE STAR!!!

I have the circuit Explorer air 2, and every time I try to go to make something. I get an unexpected error and have to restart my whole project. All over again, and I'm using the mobile app because pc doesn't recognize my device. So I'm forced to use this. And it pretty much sucks. I gave it a two star because i've actually been able to cut one or two things. But dealing with the hab is more frustrating than taking care of a child

Why is the app so awful? I have this super expensive machine complete with all these materials that I now can't use because app doesn't work. I can't even resize something or pick a font without the app spinning for 10 minutes or crashing. Before the most recent update, it was buggy, but still usable. Now it's pretty much impossible.

Auto Save toggle needs added. Auto Save sucks! it bogs down my lap top and I cannot move a single object for it constantly changing. I usually love this app, but it's went down hill, and many people don't like it. If I could cut with a different program, I would. Do better, Cricut. please resolve this to get your stars back!

for about a year, I've been trying to cancel my subscription, but they never did and charged me $10 a month for years against my wishes. I would cancel, only to find out months later that they are still charging me. this happened about 8 times. until I just told paypal to do something about it. they also did nothing. so I just stopped paying PayPal. now they have collections contacting me. thanks to this crooked as company.

Recent Updates Make this app unusable. I am trying to make a simple design and I cannot even click on an image to move it, resize it or align it. They also moved all the tools around and it's hard to find anything. After trying to use the app for 5 min I want to pull my hair out. Seems like Cricut only cares about apple users.

App is crazy bad! Reviews had me check out the app before purchase. it is not simple to follow to simly cut masks for airbrushing. the idea of buying a cutter then having to subscribe to use it is an appauling con! thank you reviewers, i wnt be buying!

Cricut Maker 5 is unsupported in app?? how is your newest product not supported in the app setup options? your AI assistant claims it is. but it is not an option within the app. I have the most recent version. I have tryed connecting through canvas. it just ends in an endless loop. very disappointing to find my new Cricut Make 5 is just a paperweight. do better. and fix your AI.

Cricut maker 5 isn't included. Bluetooth can't connect. Usb cable does nothing? So bummed that modern business professionals don't really put a lot of effort into anything anymore, especially with a big rollout at Michael's like this. You can really see that America is in decline. The good news is I get to spend some time on the telephone getting to know their support staff, wondering what level that's going to be like.

I would LOVE to describe my experience. If I could actually get it to LOAD!! It just keeps spinning and spinning and I've tried SEVERAL times. I'm sure your reply will say it's my fault because I've noticed that in every review that's what you tell most people. "check your settings" "download the update" "blah blah blah" take responsibility for your product! Help people!! The mobile app used to work and now it doesn't. you need to fix it. plain and simple.

PLEASE FIX WHATEVER YOU'VE RECENTLY UPDATED! I can't even use the app without it just loading but never working or telling m3 the machine is out of storage even though I have followed all the recommended steps to fix this. so frustrating. The new update broke the app. The mat keeps moving it's self back out. The words won't size them. I keep getting the green circles of death when I try to fix it. Yes I have tried restarting the app, uninstall and reinstall, I even deleted the project I spent hours working on because the new update keeps changing it from pen and cut to print and cut. I don't want that. Please uninstall the new update ( because I can't do it or I would) until this is fixed 😫 😢

the app interface is laughably bad and makes a simple edit take incredibly long. there are constant ads and it's extremely glitchy. I would've preferred to buy a different product had I know how bad this app was.

Newest version/update (09/01/2026) does not work with my Chromebook (Lenovo) running on Android 13! New interface is much cleaner, but had persistent problems with editing and could not properly and repeatedly connect to my Maker (oringinal). Had to uninstall and go back to Windows system on other device.

I've used a Cricut Maker Since their release. I miss the simplicity of design space from in the beginning.

edit - suggestions did not work on restoring. lost every one of my designs and projects after last update. I'll never get those designs back. very frustrated and disappointed.

I understood this was a free trial for 1 month, but I was charged nearly $130 for this for a year. This is not okay. I need my money back!! I haven't used this app at all it does not work on my computer!! only works on my phone and that is not big enough for me to see what i am doing. I am very furious about all of this.

Why do I need to create an account to locally print? I'm not wasting my time with this app. After reading the recent reviews, I'll probably return the printer I bought because your website doesn't allow the PC version to download and I'm not going to be using this app. It seems like all the hype is about nothing.

Unfortunate. Not user friendly. The app will not allow zooming in or out to see your designs. Soooo frustrating. With as many subscribers this app must have because it's needed to cut any design, they should be able to fix issues without breaking everything else!

The app constantly has to be closed and reopened when making adjustments. It's super frustrating to say the least! What should've been a 5 minute fix took over an hour. Are there any third party apps compatible to use with the Cricut machines? Not worth the subscription or using the app if you can barely use it. Doesn't work for print and cut. Defaults to 12 by 12, can't change it unless you change the project type, which limits compatible materials. I don't think you can even buy printable Cricut 12 x 12 materials?

I use this app exclusively to design t-shirts for my friends and family. Since this last update I can't even find the canvas. Seriously considering other options

I do it as a hobby but also make things for family typing is sluggish, editing and no matter if I use phone or tablet the words I have typed don't always work. it's became a frustration. the app sometimes causes machine to freeze, when opening a project says projects no longer available and then suddenly they are. Great app but the only problem i have is the pricing, i think it would be better if you could have the option to pay for features on their own because personally i only use the multi layers for my vinyl designs and dont use the other features at all. thus i would prefer to pay a lower price to only use one feature cuz i feel like its unnecessary to pay the full amount when i dont even use everything.

one problem after another. spend more time trying to get it working than actually using it. tried to upgrade and spent the money on premium subscription, yet the app still tried to get me to subscribe. customer service has never been very helpful. next step is to fight the credit card company to get a refund.

using this app on an Android phone is an exercise in frustration. The AI with it's never ending & extremely invasive questions.

App crashes continuously, logs me out for every use and when it does work there is severe lag. When it does work it can create some amazing art - would really recommend working on bug fixes and sorting out the errors. It is additionally frustrating as I subscribe to additional material - but at the moment it takes so long to use - it isn't worth the money. Bottom line - great app when it works but I have yet to have one instance where it works seamlessly and without issue.

I click make them get stuck trying to get to the choosing the mat I need etc so for days now I'm just stuck not able to finish my project.. pretty annoyed I was almost done and was forced to do this update to continue on the app so I did and now I can't even do anything... also it freezes at every single movement/click they made it so much worse... I have 3 machines it's getting so bad I'm thinking about switching brands

Can't disable notifications. I've disabled all notifications in the app, but it kept advertising to me. I already bought the machine and subscription, I don't need it to try to sell me on more stuff. I disabled notifications for the app in Android. Two stars off for being nagware after I already paid for the product. Another off because of the heavy reliance on Internet service.

I would not at all recommend this to anyone new to cricut!! This app sucks and is almost completely useless now..... When I first got my cricut years ago, the app was great! I could make and cut projects easily! Now, the app takes several seconds to process even moving objects around, if I resize something it almost always goes back to the size it was before I re sized it, (after the several seconds of processing what I just did), and I can't even get this app to connect to my machine anymore!

why wont you allow it on Chromebook???

Probably one of the worst UI I've ever seen. Terrible service that is constantly trying to sell more services. Pretty bold strategy since trying to use it at all is like ripping hair out.

PLEASE REMOVE AUTO SAVE IMMEDIATELY. RUINED 2 PROJECTS BECAUSE IT SWITCHED BACKED TO AUTO SAVE ON ITS ON.

Create anything from a Samsung Z fold 7, and feel confident when you do it! This app will let you generate anything from what you are designing in your bed and make it happen with the printer.In another space , a floor or two down from where you are. You do need to manually hit the play button.But it is nice to have everything already.And you can activate things from your phone directly. Plenty of crafts and ideas to choose from.And definitely a powerhouse station for getting your graphics done.

update is horrible it was way easier to use before.

worst machine and worst application

Recently started using the design app on my Huawei Tablet with no issues. However recently it started to crash every time. After some research, I decided to uninstall the app and reinstall it. However now I can't find it the down load again

Literally used the app today now I'm locked out. App was great until they told me to uninstall as an attempt to fix an issue now I can't install the app again because they don't support below Android 11. I wasn't informed that if I deleted the app that had been working today (and I'd just used it to cut a project) that I'd never be able to download it again as they don't offer older versions. They told me to buy a new phone!?

signed up for a free trial and was immediately charged. it should be illegal to bait and switch people like that. its not user friendly and frankly hasnt cut reliable, im not staying with cricket between the poor product design and horrible customer service

the device apps are terrible, you need to join the monthly subscription for it to work properly. Either that or it's been made to be extremely hard to do anything on this app on purpose. great machine, terrible app. Edit: bought the monthly subscription and everything I've tried to make using a pre-made feature, never has the instructions or materials needed. A big investment in updated this half whit app is needed. The AI is thick too.

glitches and closes while using on a phone.

Every time I try to upload an image through the app it cuts up parts of the image and it doesn't align properly forcing me to upload through my computer and using the app to cut I saw a previous review mention the same problem y'all said it was fixed it's not

I am now having troubles and can't do a basic cut, telling me it isn't compatible or too large. It doesn't make sense and so frustrating.

NO STARS Worked once. Now it just sits and does nothing after hitting the make button. So now i have this machine taking up space. NO STARS

The mobile has always been just *okay* but now I can't upload any single layer image without it being SUPER distorted- Like missing chunks (not just being bulky from converting to svg.) I have to go onto my computer, re-upload the image from there, then move back onto my phone to connect to Bluetooth and print the project

This app is complete garbage. And the Cricut Maker 4 is pretty useless too. Can't even cut Cricut Value Cardstock without tearing it to shreds. I'm so mad I wasted my money on this machine and all the monthly payments I make for this terrible app. I am CANCELLING my subscription! I will be working solely with the Loklik IdeaStudio from now on! It's way better, way cheaper, and way more functional. The PC software lags so bad, I can't even do anything with it, the mobile app is hard to navigate.

hate the new update, now the design space auto updates your designs unless you remember to switch it off every time you go into it so that if you have something saved as a template and you just want to cut one part of it if you don't remember to turn off the auto save you lose your original design. on some tablets you have the option of just saving the changes ie an Ipad but on my android tablet I have lost the function I now have to save the whole project meaning I have multiple same projects

specifically looking for the multi cut option for certain materials and cannot find on mobile version of the software. bummer neither can I find mylar option smh

very disappointed with all this updates and now I can work the app because nothink moves where I want it to go and I find its iam nearly punching my fone for thinks to more and still nothing

I can't use it

This app is beyond slow and now when I try to use print to cut it closes out when I press print. I even tried from my phone and the same thing happened. This is beyond frustrating when running a business

This app just gets worse everytime you update it. They always change the layout of the canvas making it so confusing where everything is. With the latest update that came out, they made the canvas so much worse. It won't allow me to easily move my images to one place to another unless I hold it in one certain area (in which I still do not know where), everything yet again got moved around and now I can't even find any important tool. I suggest that you keep the canvas as it is every update.

they will charge your card before the trial!!! I signed up for the trial, it said it would wait 30 days to charge but nope, I even had to return the printer and they still charged my card, so I had to dispute this through my credit card bank. Sketchy payment tactic!

Since yesterdays update, my images when uploaded are cut up and piled on top of each other in a big jumbled mess. This is just great since I have orders to make. This program is nothing but problems constantly.

worse app ever - I only use it if I really need to use my cricut it used to be really good but it's now terrible it bugs all the time you can't move designs any more

the new update is awful - I am unable to sync my machine with my phone now, when I had no problem with it before

how do I unsubscribe, I no longer have my michine I am still being charged and can't contact anyone to stop being charged.
