needs a way to draw or place land how an where you want it

rudimentary, lakes are buggy, but at least its not ai. you can set parameters, add many kinds of places. do the rest yourself, theres plenty other generators out there if you arent the creative type. for a map generator, this is exactly what it needs to be.

I wish the cities towers villages etc are animated instead of a. shape floating

It's great overall, though I really hope the developers add the ability to manually change and design/redesign parts of the map that had been generated.

pretty neat, its free and generates maps quickly. Might come in hand for basics.

It lets you create a map with your own places sure. But you can't do anything about how the world looks. you just get what it gives you.

This app is perfect gor generaring terrain and putting locations on it, i like how roads between locations work and also like that you can save the map in the gallery

The app is fun, but being able to build worlds ourselves and create new markers rather than solely creating through generation would make it a very useful tool. But as long as you make enough markers before generating, you should be able to make interesting maps.

great for regional maps in ttrpgs

get this app it would be worth it because I both use it for my online and offline solo ttrpg gaming you can also use it like I do imaging it as my own other private island next to the main one on my current 2nd world building video games

Seems fantastic so far! I'd like to be able to make a map slightly more customizable using tiles or something. Also if there could be different display styles that'd be great. Regardless this is a fantastic map generator.

I thought this was an actual game. Nonetheless, it gets the rating it deserves because it does what it's supposed to and has enough customizability to be fun. Also still seems to be getting updates which I believe is a good sign.

The description generation doesn't adapt to the actual perceived surroundings of the environment. A cave is in the middle of the ocean, and the description says it's in a "flat plain", also there is little option to decide how long you want the description or how short. The idea of cultures or events with effects unto the landscape would be nice, but it's not so much an issue. The generator for the text doesn't often pull from creative sources and says the same names or descriptions eventually.

need more upgrades like and expansion so we could build continents and more biome, but still nicest thing I've ever played

3 stars because there is potential, but it is way too basic, does not leave room for creative outlets, We should be able to assign icons to castles or other things ourselves and place them ourselves as well as randomly. The 3d look is not for everyone, I personally love 2d view and would love to get a black and white version as well. There should be different types of roads as well like Paved highway, muddy trail, earthen macadam etc. Needs harbours and evil organisations like pirate dens etc

Good idea but horrendous and infuriating design. Menu buttons simply don't work even when visibly clicked and more frustratingly, a simple accidental touch of the 'new' button will wipe your map before you can even save it. This turned what would be a neat little app into a genuinely poor experience.

add option to: remove shadow and road. make saved map neat to know what map that was made is new or old

Incredibly helpful tool for world building, simple set up for extensive map creation.

Very cool app! Well done. I just wanted to ask, if it would be possible to add some kind of "discovery mode" for example for solo rpg, where just a small fraction of the map is revealed at start and the other parts are only shown on touch, as you reaching it storywise. Or just show location pins, but no terrain or whatever. Like some kind of custom filter and/or mask, that can be cleared partially by touching the respective areas. Just a vague idea, which I really would enjoy having. Regards.

I mean it's alright I guess I'm just looking for something very specific, there doesn't seem to be any way to have a fully desert map

It needs more development and more options like a timeline or like civilizations that fight for power and The villages can also be like rated bandits or pirates or like natural resources The villages can harvest. and you can also make like a campaign mode will you make a civilization fight to survive.

it's good thing that it is not too complicated to use it but more options are needed for better map building. add something like a magic brush for making personalized land changes. either way nice work.good job. hoping for more features in the future.

i would like it a lot better if you could edit the world terrain yourself, or add certain biomes yourself. other than that, its okay-ish. not extraordinary, not bad.

Great for what it's meant to do but I'm struggling to figure out how to manually create roads. This was the main reason I downloaded the app but it's still fun to generate random maps so I won't uninstall it.

Love the app. My only issue is not being able to view the map from directly above. Structures to represent Castles and villages would be helpful too. Fantastic work regardless

The app is a little slow and sluggish but it's good at generating nice maps. Another thing is that I'm unable to edit the map in any way except for locations please fix this.

Floating, but there's one good thing. You can name it and choose what it is. And it's history. So i think you should. Make a box make a button. Map generation is pretty good since everything seems to mostly make sense and not out of place. I do hope the dev can add customization to help with political world building though. Even a little option to import banners on cities, villages, etc which you can see to symbolize allegiance, territories or fielty will be good enough. I do hope this continues to be updated

this app is everything

I was hoping this was a fully customizable map builder, but it is quite random and you don't have a lot of control over it, but for what it does it's a good tool, it could use some work though; for example, we can name landmarks such as seas, forests, rivers, etc, but lakes aren't an option and they should be. For anybody who wants a tool to generate semi-custom, mostly random maps, this is a good option, not that there are many that I can find.

It's good, not great. Has all the basics down. Very inspiring as well as convenient. Being unable to alter the shape or details after generation is a bit of a shame. But then again, more than what I expected from an app of less than 20 MB

For a free app with no ads or subscription required, this app is amazing. Obviously there are some things that it could use, but for what it is, it's awesome. I love the clean interface and random generation.

perfect for what i need it for! great place to start with map creation. if you have a basic idea of what you want the map to be (want mountains and forests, but no ocean for example) it will randomly place them on a map with names of places throughout.

Way too basic. Needs more editing options i.e adding additional roads, or changing how the terrain looks.

I would love to rate this higher. It's simple and intuitive. Unfortunately I think the one thing holding it back is how small the maps are. The largest one is little lore than a small region on another map. If the maps could be much larger, then this would be my go to app.

This game is actually good and not bad.. but, maybe need add some details just like tiny little model on city, village, castle and more. And maybe add more details on mountain, biome, sea and more for make more much fun. 😁😁😁

Using this tool to generate maps for tabletop RPGs. I'd say it's going well.

simple yet effective

Powerful tool for anyone into world building. The lack of detail is made up for by the efficiency and believability of the maps. Fast generation allows you to make a ton to find the best one, and sites of intrest can be moved after the map is created. Overall a terrific app

This app is so good it's almost perfect. The only thing it needs is 2 features to make to a daily usable app. Pen support and live map editing. It's a shame that once the map is generated, there is no way to edit its details. I was hoping to use this in my D&D campaign.

really useful for dnd and the like. the only area that kinda lacks for me is I am trying to make a map for a story I am writing and wishing to show some guys in a writing group, is I can't put something I want to be foundational to the story. example I have is an island that has mountains all along the coast with only one part of the coast access to the ocean. implementing something along this line would be a massive help for me

I'm rather fond of this! Some might like to directly customise the terrain, but I prefer the randomisation; it's easier for me. I'd like to be able to change the details of the specific places I add, rather than just adding extra. I appreciate the downloaded images from one of my first attempts, and the sharing function. I'm using this to support my screenplay.

I'm looking forward to how this app develops, I really love the concept, but I wish you could visually manipulate the landscape after generations. For now it's too simple but if it undated I'll edit this Rating This same concept as a city builder is awesome hopefully that can eventually be added.

This is a updated review after using it for awhile. This app is by far the best when it comes to random generation. The save option not only gives you the 3D map, but the 2D top down map and a legend for what's what. An absolute beauty of a map. My props to the developers.

Great app for making quick and easy maps but needs more fine tuning. For example, needs an option to specify what kind of landmass you want (continents, archipelagos, etc.). Also would be great if the maps were larger with a bit more detail to them. It's a great basic concept though

This app is honestly really amazing. There's a bit of a learning curve, but once you learn it, there's massive possibility.

Its a good app and everything. However, when I try to decorate my map e.g. use Greenland. It does not work ill try to press it and nothing will happen and I can change anything about my map. X

It's a great app, I find myself using it for DND almost all the time. The only thing that could make this better is if they added countries and capitals.

It's a fun app, it definitely helps when I'm making a world for a project I have. It would be nice to move terrain but I'm more interested if there could be map making for the city/village itself if you're making one. If it had an option for that I'd rate it five stars.

very cool and uniquely inspiring

I like the basic concept and graphics, but I wish it went a lot further and was more customizable. For example, when you opt to create a city, it automatically chooses the descriptor for that city: corrupted, haunted, hidden, beautiful, etc. Also, adding a road, river, forest, or something like that only adds a single location marker instead of an area or length. It's fun for an I-don't-have-time-for-this map generator, but I would love to see it do more.

good for basic world generator need more updates like species

well rounded map options. It is unable to select the type of city or town etc. but if random story add in is great at times so I like it.

I wish the names would show up on the map and I would like to be able to name the maps. Otherwise, I have enjoyed the app.

clunky, bad camera controls, bad road generation, was hoping that things like "forrest" would sprout some trees. weird lake generation. almost every polygon clips weirdly, sometimes even over the lake. overall an okay game, just needs alot more work put into it.

5 Stars, solid app. Trust me, not many apps deserve 5 stars. Been using this for map ideas for game design, and it's been flawless. No annoying ads whatsoever, runs smoothly with very limited lag and is great tool in general. However, I wish you could add a feature for drawing your map, or changing it yourself, like sculpting the land or adding biomes. All in all, it's a 5. Thank you for this great app.

Honestly i would prefer being able to see how the map develops rather then the generation be random I hope you add in that editing ability also you forgot to make it so you can name Lakes also the Descriptions of places would be better as suggestions rather then permanent descriptors so you don't get Ugly islands and Seas.

It's a simple game, but fits my needs for map making. It's quite optimized and the lack of ad interruptions is marvelous. 10/10

The terrain generator is pretty cool, but there's no instructions page and I can't figure out how to edit the terrain. I pull up the bottom menu and click on stuff to try and paint it onto my map, but nothing happens.

Only random generating map maker even on "custom". You don't hand draw the map yourself.

Nice game

Good generator, however I can't find any way to actually customise the map appart from adding name tags. All the 'tutorial' you get is how to zoom in. I also can't find the 2d aspect of the map in the app without exporting it

This is a cool game

Really good app Pretty easy to use and map generation tools are simple to use too. Nice app to download just to make some fictional worlds. Would also be pretty useful as map inspiration if you're a game developer.
