Download AOL: Email News Weather V8.0.18 APK Free, Mod Premium

I have used this app for quite a while, but a few weeks ago I noticed the app has changed. I use the app to upload scanned photos for business purposes, now the app will either crash or take several minutes to upload the images. not to mention being able to select photos was a lot easier before the change, I could select multiple at a time without having to scroll or browse other photos just to find my most recent. I can no longer attach them to the bottom creating a cleaner email. just garbage

Latest update is garbage & almost unusable, I am going to have to uninstall it.

Don't like the app updates like other commenters don't. Have to go redo ALL of the settings, if you can find them. If you click on a link, doesnt take you to chrome unless you now click another link EACH TIME. Wish you could see the whole list of contact names when you're writing an email instead of it just showing names alphabetically as you type. Also, dont like the yellow app symbol color, very stark color.

update is pants

They finally resolved the "deleted emails reappearing" bug with the new update! However, pinch to zoom no longer works, making many emails completely unreadable now. Please AOL, if you ever manage to get this fixed, don't try to change anything else!

hate it .. the font is terrible... not intuitive

This app has now become unusable in the last day on my phone to the point I have had to download another email app to read my emails. ABSOLUTE GARABGE Another Update: Only app I use that continues to get worse with every update. Mind blowing that you have developers that put garbage out like this.

demasiadas noticias h

I've been using this app for at least 35 years. Since the update it takes a long time to open mail and sometimes it just crashes. Frustrating!!! hopefully fixes are coming soon.

Since the changes, I can't zoom in on emails to read them. I am seeing impaired and I use to be able to zoom. Allow that feature back or there is no reason I should pay monthly for a app I can't use.

I was quite happy with AOL until lately. I'm having trouble opening it, and sometimes it just closes! I don't know why. I'm not happy.

2026 Oct update: app is much too slow to open. Paying more, for more ads. Error message when trying to contact customer service. Ugh. (I do appreciate AOL's quick response to resolve)

To add insult to lousy app. The contact developer is no longer valid. Spell check, autofill disappeared. Bad news. If there was no star, I'd use it. Updating my review. New version stinks. Doesn't show how many emails. Files disappear....AOL's going backwards not forward. adding to previous grievance.if I could give it minus stars I would. the latest update contains bugs that kick you off email after each deleted email. I uninstalled, cleared cache and data, rebooted cell, reinstalled, same kaka

where is my light NOT DARK, background?

Amazing

can't delete mail from the notifications anymore and the spam is getting out of hand

Since you did the latest update Oct. 30, 2026, both my husband and I have boxes that have music symbols in them downloading into our download Files. You need to fix this glitch asap.

I'm getting really sick and tired of this app constantly sending really important emails to spam even after marking them SAFE. the spam filter is ridiculous. customer service wont even help unless I PAY for a "service plan". what kind of nonsense is that!? it's a terrible app and awful customer service...

After the most recent large update - 22 October 2026 and then the update on 24th October, and then up date on 26th October and very latest on 30th October, there are still problems with with the email part of the app on my honor 8 tablet. Very frustrating. App freezing again. This had been fixed and is now freezing again or email very, very slow. I'm annoyed beyond words. And please do not tell me you are working on this and to change keyboard!

Ads 10/31/26 update: app is now broken. stuck in sign in loop. what a joke. wish I could give zero stars.

Not happy with the new format...can you please make it like it was. Don't like the bright yellow screen and I don't like that when I open an email it opens in AOL instead of Chrome. Then I have to go to Chrome to delete the history. Before it opened in chrome and I could just delete it from there, another step to remember, no thanks. I have been with AOL from the start and up till now have been happy but this one I am not pleased with.

horrible, stupid - looking, and rejecting all my reflecting address email, which is business and medical. I don't even want to Try to use this abomination... great timing too. Stupid pigs. after 30 years you screw up all my contacts? f u.

0 stars, can no longer even open my app since this update. BOO!!!

The AOL app just froze up on my phone just now and none of my emails are opening? Since this latest update, the app runs extremely slow and lagging. Please fix this app!

The past few updates have made this app unbearable to use

Always boots to news; need to separate e-mail from news and weather. E-mail crashes constantly when deleting messages or marking messages as spam.

normally pretty good although my news now seems to be stuck on coming from The Express newspaper. now when I go you AOL so I get it a yellow page with AOL written on it but nothing loads 😕😔 🤔 What's going on here?

Update 10-31-26. Good grief. we're back to difficulties moving inbox mail to folders. This is despite 3 updates in the last 2 weeks. Update 5-4-26. Moving emails to folders was corrected. Tx! Echoing other reviews following latest update: Mail is behaving abominably when moving to folders. As others have mentioned, often have to leave and return to app to verify that emails have moved. Onerous and unnecessary annoyance. Please fix. Thanks!

pdf file not download in all

The app notifications have reached the point where the notifications don't even properly close. I have never seen an app screw up notifications before this app over the past few days. This is inexcusable.

private and simple.

Has ads on email! Now popups to upgrade! more popups! no wonder why your like Fingerhut .Do better aol!Jesus minus 2 stars! NOW ITS YELLOW! WAY TO GO MAKING IT LOOK WORSE! still terrible! even worse all add noway to remove them! Terrible company now!

The unwanted ads are the worst thing and they keep coming back and coming back no matter how many times I delete them, very annoying and time-consuming.

I've been with AOL since it began during dial-up days. Also news feed content is covered by ads and AOL crashing multiple times. Opened app a while ago received notification of the merger with OATH. Upon clicking the link to review the terms and privacy policy, the screen disappeared. Checked OATH'S website and learned that using app will permit them to scan and read emails. This is an outrageous invasion of privacy. Been a long time user of AOL since the early 90's. ADs cover content.

The search function in email no longer displays which folders the resulting emails are in, which is important for moving and organizing the emails.

Rubbish

If you feel the need to monkey around with the AOL email app TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION TO LEAVE OUR SETTINGS THE WAY THEY ARE! Every time you screw things up with an "upgrade" I have to go redo my settings. IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT!!!!!!

app has been updated, and it is NOT user friendly

It took 20 years but FINALLY a good app.

sucks

The recent fall 2026 update to the Android app sucked. The app is now super slow to update and display new emails or the number of emails for each account. Making the app look slicker but destroying the performance is useless. I hope this gets fixed quickly.

always been a good app but has been glitch and slow and crashes. it appears they are aware and released some updates. I just applied one and hoping it stops the issue

The new update sucks. Why does AOL try to fix things that aren't broken? ***update: Whoever was responsible for the Android app update obviously does not use AOL mail. The update makes it very difficult to use. I've used AOL mail as my primary email for over 30 years. Maybe it's time for me to change. And stop paying monthly for AOL

The app sucks! I just want my mail, not all of that leftwing BS! I promptly uninstalled it! I'll continue checking my mail through the browser, even though you've thoroughly screwed that up! As a decades long AOL user & paying subscriber, I'm extremely ticked off!

todays update fixed the previous update last week. ty

the new update totally messed everything up. why can't people just leave things alone

I been using this email 4 about 30 years

I have been using AOL for a very long time, with no trouble, it is an excellent experience.

so poor... many ad 🤮🤮

always been good

amazing 👏

for 33 year satisfy with aol

horrible, childish unattractive new update.

Love to use AOL for email

new update not working on chromebook

Uninstalling it because disastrous update of Oct 24, 2026 makes it freeze and crash. It takes couple of minutes just to open it. What is this thing doing in the background now? Awful

October 2026 update - Abject failure! Now I can see my email accounts, but cannot access them What is the point of an email app that does not do the most basic thing we expect - allow access to our emails ? Have followed all 'fix' advice and no change cannot give feedback through the app - that has never worked

since the recent updates, this app is constantly force closing itself and it lags when trying to open emails. Was always 5* before these new updates. PLEASE FIX ASAP!!!

it's been great, but all of a sudden since last week when I scroll down from my lock screen to delete or Mark as unread an email it won't let me do it from my lock screen. and when my phone is open can I scroll down to do the same thing, it kicks me back to the previous screen that I was on instead of staying on the scroll down option to delete or Mark as read multiple emails

great.

Have used this app for years without a problem.

I cannot use GIF at all. I do not like the change.

Soooo laggy since last update. It doesn't open emails quickly like it used to if at all. If you delete an email in your notifications, it automatically takes you out of your notifications so you have to reopen them for every email you want to delete. Very annoying.

Makkelijk om er op te komen, meteen je mail. Wel moet ik vanaf newsfeed nog instellen dat ik automatisch mijn mail open in plaats van newsfeed. Ik ben gewoon lui, dat is alles Update october 28 2026: using a different app to automatically go into the "draft message" with an attachment is broken. This is a huge issue for me

sucks. keeps changing stuff, shortcut deleted mysteriously, can't sign in, no end of trouble

satisfied

With the latest app update, I just lost my ability to assign unique notification sounds to each AOL email account. There's no longer an audible way to differentiate between email accounts. What were you thinking...? 🤔

have absolutely loved all since I was 12 years old now I'm 32 and still works better then ever

I've had aol for YEARS - I'm ancient. all of a sudden the cell phone format is different and the "swipe left to delete" is particularly sensitive in that you can just be scrolling down your emails and happen to touch it a certain way and it swipes and deleted and you have to go retrieve it. please just change it back to where it was a couple weeks ago.

What is going on? This app has been perfect since 2017 and now I can't use it. Emails will say loading forever and searching my inbox takes 5 to 10 minutes. This app is unusable now and I have to use my laptop to check emails. please fix or revert the app back to the previous version.

After updates 8.0.14 and 8.0.15 released 26/10/26 am still unable to attach pdf and mp3 files. The browse option fails to find my File Manager. I have had to install an older version which works perfectly. AI says "By only showing the Downloads folder and images, the app is mistakenly calling Android's Media Picker instead of the full Document Picker. Because of this, it filters out anything that isn’t a standard photo or video, hiding File Manager+ entirely" etc

The new upgrade has made it awkward to use. Can't delete emails easily on the slide down bar, doesn't open the email I select on the drop down menu on my S25 it just returns to a previous deleted email and it has also crashed a few times when opening

User friendly service, cannot fault it in any way.

The app has been freezing the past month. Only way to get it to work is to uninstall and then re-install or to restart your phone.

I like the old AOL.

it's been great for 20 years except for the pop-up ads.

Disappointed to say the least! Been with AOL for more years than I care to remember, but the latest update this week has seriously made me want to go elsewhere. Desperately slow opening emails, swipe features disappeared to name just a couple of things. No response from AOL after contacting them either.

holy cow this recent update is terrible. whoever green lit this should be fired.

Most recent update this week has ruined this app for me. Its constantly force closing my notification bar when I delete and email from the notification. Also it wasnt actually deleting the emails when I did that until I deleted the app and installed it again. Sadly doing so only fixed that one thing. Now I am getting new message notifications long after deleting the email. The last update just needs to be removed!

what as happened to this app in the last couple of weeks it junk it not showing how many emails you have just 1 and I now can't zoom in on the email to read it anymore and the notification icon was much better that said aol

I love AOL. I think Google is trying to compete it out of existence, but I like it better than Gmail. I've used it for over 20 years and it does everything I want at a lower cost. So, keep it up, AOL, I'm keeping you!

latest update has sooo many issues! hopefully it gets fixed soon. I can't even open my emails.

whatever update you deployed in the last 48 hours has slowed down and destroyed the performance of this app

It is terrible with the upgrade! Now you can only delete an email if you go into the app and cant from the notification!!! Please fix this!!!!

Really like this app Especially the folder facility n inbox layout Like others have stayed with it for many years It was installed by CD on my first ( huge by todays standoards) desk top However recently it needs occasionally re installing ? Can you explain ?

I've had this for years, and I still love it.

normally a great app but lately all I'm seeing is yellow after yellow and plain white screen.... emails take me 2 or more goes to load/ open... I've noticed this across aol ..... IE desk top does same annoying things... and pass key that pass key this...

app keeps closing down

The latest updates has changed my love of this app. I can not longer delete mail from the notification. I have to sign in my phone. It doesn't delete the count shown on the app logo on the phone a lot of the phone I have to open the app even though there is no mail. It is also very slow switching from say new mail to old mail. Very disappointed in it now.

The new App update from October 24th is causing saved contacts messages to go to the spam folder and even when you mark them not spam it still does not fix the issue. 2. You have to refresh the page in the app to get your emails they do not come through automatically like they normally do before the Oct 24th update or at all. I talked to tech support and they told me they are working on the issue but didn't give me a timeline when it will be resolved in the App

In this 8.0.14 mobile app, when I tap on any emails to open up/expand to read them in their entirety, they completely disappear. Or, if there are any links within the body of the email, cannot open them either. Impossible to EASILY read my emails on my phone now unless I go into my web browser which defeats the purpose of having an app.

I get several unwarranted & unwanted messages notifications EVERY DAY!!! I've checked notification settings & I only have them on for me EMAIL!!! I cannot find where to turn the other bullcrap off! FIX YOUR APP!!!

works great sometimes blank which requires tablt restart??

Always has bugs now won't open after update

Latest AOL app update - unhappy with this latest app update applied yesterday. Now when search is used from inbox, the search review results now excludes the folder name where emails are stored. please fix so that I can see the folder names where items are stored for all search results displayed. Also, it would be an improvement to provide a search option to "search current folder only" from any folder I am currently "in".

very slow when changing folders

It's just been 'updated' and although it was never great it's now almost completely unuseable. Keeps saying accounts have signed out and yet when I go through the process of signing back in - the only option left is to remove it (or others from the phone). Who sanctions these changes? and who bothers checking the 'developers' haven't just destroyed their product?

very good story had people sad miss aol locked out couldn't watch tv good shows News 🗞️

it doesn't respond over & over!

**My last review was in 2017 and it's been going well up until this last update. The in email zoom no longer works. The notifications don't go away when I open email, so I have to dismiss each one individually. This latest update is a huge problem. I'm on WiFi and my messages won't load. Not ones with heavy graphics, text only and nothing. Please fix quickly!!!

oldest email service in internet history turned into a news slop outlet with a broken mobile app. If you try to delete more than 30 emails the app lags and stops syncing those updates so you close the app and open it again and it never deleted anything. Enjoy your email clogged servers.

Terrible update everything so slow, each time I open asks do I want to accept cookies have answered numerous times. Why oh why the update.

running slow, older version is now running

The Z-Fold 8 ultra the AOL app lags still especially when trying to switch between folders on the bottom used to work a lot more streamlined would be great for us paid customers to be able to link to ai composition and usage like Gmail.........new update nice but very slow and this is latest device and noticed significant battery drain now after latest update ????? fix asap

Works great , is easy to use doesn't crash really enjoy using AOL .... AOL is the bomb 😄😄😄!

AOL Just Changed Its App-Display Making It Tougher ((childish)) For An Adult User-Experience And My-Photo-Gallery Isn't Connected To Emailing Anymore, Resulting In More Difficulties To Use AOL.

Absolutely do not the changes as of Sunday Oct 25. please go back to Oct 24

The latest update of the AOL app v 8.0.14 didn't let me sign back in to my account. I cleared the cache several times through the app settings. (This updated AOL app didn't have a clear cache in the app). This didn't work but I restarted the phone twice and finally was able to get into my email. The same thing happened on another Android phone but I got back into my email the same way.

you can always tell when Yahoo pushes out a new app update because everything breaks again. emails not showing up in notifications. quick actions not working in notifications. rearranging quick actions so you hit reply instead of delete

aol sucks even if f it is free now since the new update it hasn't updated the news or emails. hasn't updated the news in 15 hrs now, won't mark the emails read. guess it's time to try something else. And I'm out, too many other free emails that work

I cannot read my individual email messages. The emails show up but when I tap on them to read the screen goes black. This last update has made the app totally useless.

the new update has loused up the display of ads. they appear oversized and fuzzy. and when you are finished reading an article, it does not return to the spot you were before.

With this latest update you can't attach local files that you haven't received! So I'd have to email MYSELF a file on my LAPTOP be to attach it to the email i want to send. Which defeats the point of emails on my phone! Literally what on earth is this update!?

aol did you go back to dial up

Awful I just want emails. I dont want frequent top story notifications, which keep coming despite turning them off. I don't want low grade news stories. I dont want irrelevant ads. I've had an aol address since the 90s when it was one of the only options. not for much longer.

Been with you for many years! Easy to navigate.

its glitching all over the place. says i have 30 notifications when there isnt any

emails are not loading or load very slow. S24 Android ver 17.

not interested in news. often have to reboot phone because it either won't scroll down to recent emails or won't even display lower mail icon- it remains in News feeds! Very frustrating! I hope this latest update fixes that!!!?

Added: 10/22/26 The app just updated and I HATE IT!!! I don't like how I can't have a specific sound for my notification as I have had since I began using AOL. I wish I could go back to the old app and have my time back. It made it a lot easier to know when I got an email vs some other notification. I used to love this app. However now I never get any of my emails and have to go through the actual site. It's getting really really iratating!!

to much trouble

Better than befor

New review as of 10/23/26 - Another terrible update! It takes 3 or more actions to read or delete emails from the homescreen now! Why?? In addition, they moved the delete button and it is now a reply button. Who is going to reply to an email they haven't even opened yet? Not working most of the time now!

useless

The app works fine, however, I do not like the fact that it automatically installs audio files. I delete them and they just continually reinstall! There is no way to customize this in the app.

this app takes up too much space on my phone. why give me updates that result with more spam notification. do better.

Can't delete emails from my lock screen like I used to be able to. now I have to open my phone screen to delete emails.

I've had a while for many many years and it's always been very dependable very updated and topics and I enjoyed the easiness of scrolling through the information thank you AOL

Had my email +20 years and had no problems. Just unfortunate that some institutions don't always recognise it

love this app

It no longer deletes emails from the notifications screen and I dislike this change.

recent update sucks get rid of latest update go back to old one!

sucks cant retrieve my mail

good to know about everything

STOP MAKING THE APP WORSE WITH EVERY UPDATE! Links always used to open in my default browser, but now open in the app and I can't find a way to revert back. This is an awful feature and offers zero benefits. The swipe to delete function has been modified to now make it very easy to accidentally delete an email. Shocking. And don't get me started on the Home screen with it's top news stories.... I just want to check my emails, if I want to check the latest news I will visit a news site.

My original 1 star review was because an update removed email notification sounds. A later update fixed it and I added a custom sound to differentiate between email and news notifications and it worked great. But now on 10/23/26 they updated it again and my custom sound no longer works when I get an email despite it being set correctly in the android settings. Stop messing with the app if it's not broken don't try to fix it!

Since the 10/22 update, I can no longer login to email. Bad update.

won't let me sign in

32 years with AOL and love it.

I have to reboot my phone to unfreeze the app at least twice a day.

Great

AOL is great thus far. I have only been using it for a few months, but it does what it needs to do. I like it so far.

I only want to see email. App no longer letting me log in. Put info in but brings back to page saying to tap. App is updated but not working. Just shows AOL today page. Until last night, it was great!

love aol had it forever!

Nice update on 10/22. Instead of previously being quirky it's now totally useless for sending messages. Continuously deletes what I write. Bye Felicia. That one star is only because Google doesn't allow zero.

new update won't let you open your mail and read it why is that

No issues, even when website is down.

5 stars

if I could give it a minus I would you can't send emails whether they have pictures and images under your data you have to use Wi-Fi otherwise it sits in the outbox and if you notice it in the outbox and headed to send and never sends

great

There's some emails that i'm not getting.

the best and a long time member

far far too many disgusting emails coming through thinking of changing my email provider ads do get in the way as well

👌

No formatting tool...

Just barely usable. There is a big problem with emails just disappearing. No longer in any folder. If you click on an email link on a webpage, the AOL app inserts it as the to address with a comma at the end. The app doesn't allow you to correct it and can't send the email with it there. Also, deleted emails are put back in inbox over and over. Also, won't allow you to see the email address of the sender of received email. This is a MAJOR security issue.

After periodically verifying my account and setting up a secondary verification process here i am asked to set up a third...like will I need a 4th and a 5th too? This is getting exhausting in a world full of passwords.

This version Does NOT work on OS 12 Android. Useless. I can read SOME recent new emails. Old emails do not load. Draft emails do not function in the app at all. Time stamps on the emails are wrong compared to the browser version. Attachments will not attach at all (to send). Attachments received will not download at all. App mail intermittently scrolls but cannot access any mail on anything but the first page. App is worse than 500 characters can explain. 0 stars on this one.

I keep having to reboot to use AOL! Am considering switching to another ap!

good 👍🏾

I can see the first page of my email but when I touch to continue my screen goes blank. Does not happen on my phone.

you've never been disappointed for using AOL for 20 years it's on top of the storage easy to manage smooth situation go to work with sincerely Da City

except when I loose my p8assword it is excellent. password retrieval needs to be tied to my account

can't get into my emails on the lap top going round in circles and sick of it

great. everything is great.

been using aol for 25 yrs easy to work and app really good

good

terrible.

requesting a verification code but will not send one. never needed one before to sign in. help.aol is worthless wants to charge a fee.

Simple, easy to use and functional. Been using it for many years and it's still the best Email and News App. After many years continue to use and find it extremely helpful and easy to use!

You continue to 'fix' things that weren't broken. Unfortunately the app icon is still a hideous yellow. I'm still holding out hope that you'll eventually go back to blue. I still hate the new font everything appears in, & want the option to change it back to the previous. Though the app itself is free, AOL email is a service we pay for, so we shouldn't have to see this many ads. Now emails take forever to load, & then the app gets stuck so we can't navigate. New doesn't always = better.

have had AOL since 2000 like info features and email. no more interruptions than other email apps.

I don't like new updates at all! why you (bleep) it up? Why do you want to hide the trimming of AO3, that is Archive Of Our Own, email? I must click "showing trimmed content" to see everything on that email. And what's up with that link problem? why it doesn't go straight to a normal browser like it should be, not use the "in-house" kind. you have one very simple job. And that is to update it to keep it safe for anyone to use. Please fix that mess that you made for no good reason.

I am still trying to get my aol mail because it will not open in the original app...HELP..I need to get my aol mail!

I have had aol since 1988 when I got my first computer. Huge box under the desk, huge monitor, key board, modem, telephone line to work it. let's not leave out the printer. wonderful experience. my cell does more than that big box did. times change.

Getting free AOL email is NOT worth being incessantly bombarded with very creepy right wing "News"

app now stalls after opening an email since updating, have to shut down and reopen to access next message

I've been using it for decades and it's nice having an email that not only looks but Is Authentic. (gmail account review_ The Shadow is default these days)

haven't used AOL for a long time

Been a member for years and years never had a problem great service as always

Had my AOL since 1999. Absolutely love it!!!

The new changes are aweful.. I have to unlock my phone to delete emails through yhe phone notifications., the new yellow background is horrible to look at when opening the app.. Please go back to the way it was before this latest update..

Used for Years, never let me down.

Great and relabel mail client

great!

This app is a joke. My emails will not delete. i delete my emails, and when I open my app backup, the emails that I deleted are somehow back. My emails just keep getting higher and higher. Because the messages will not delete for whatever reason they keep reappearing. It's getting highly aggravating.

Latest update is badly broken. The app freezes whenever I try to open an email, and it freezes again when I move emails to folders. These are basic functions that worked fine before the update. Please fix this quickly. Until then, the app is close to unusable for me. I have a Samsung Galaxy S23 and I have the updated version of AOL 8.0.9

The app is once again opening links in the app instead of my default browser. This app is directly over-riding my phone's settings. I do not want to use AOL as my browser. Stop doing this!!!!!!!!!!

Good not great

how do I sign out? ive lost access to all but one account. For instance, I log out of one accounts email, log into the other accounts email and still have access to the account I'm logged out of, and no access to email in the account I'm logged into. you have a serious security issue!

I cannot open email on the phone. I have called/ messaged tech support . Thank You

Rhe latest updated AOL app is super slow. Functionality is way down. very difficult to open emails quickly. Very slow to delete emails. An rritating vibration when deleting emails. New definitely does not mean improved.

aol for Android is not functioning 9

I cannot access my email; all I get is "something went wrong." I haven't changed my info, and it is frustrating.

still good. still works. I'm old so I like what I like

new update is a pain, stops easy management of mails from your notifications and is incredibly slow when the app is open. Please revert to previous version.

I like it. I'm old, so it's nice that its easy to use.

after the last update, deleting or replying from the notification drop down menu no longer works.

The most recent update brought back an old issue that has previously been fixed. Now, as soon as you open an email it goes straight to the "old mail" folder. Before, you could mark unread and keep it in your inbox. Now you have to wait until it shows up and then move it back to the new folder.

I have used AOL email for years and rarely have problems.
