every time I tried to place the order the app would say everything was out of stock, even though it was in stock. I finally had to use my deceased wife's old account to purchase my oil change. If this is the best you can do I'll go back to AutoZone.

app is extremely slow, takes more than 30 seconds to show search results for simple searches, when you click on anything in the app it will take 30 seconds or more to load, regardless of what type of data connection you are using.

Very useful for finding and ordering specifics parts or for specific vehicles. Search functionality is not good with general queries or for browsing. Very useful for checking inventory across multiple stores and the online discounts are great!

Hope this fits. Description was missing a fitment statement but my car was selected when I searched for the part. only. two parts were displayed one was clearly identified as not belonging to my car. If not I can return to my local store.

I always used advanced auto parts for its quality parts and it's discounts and rewards. it allows me to spend but I need and not go cheap on parts just to get the job done with the discounts and promos.

Unable to select store and search no longer works. search can't find anything. even something a s simple as brakes. The website isn't much better but at least you he to the check out before it fails. My points are about to expire and I can't use them in the store without an online order. Can't order online because app and website are broken. Autozone so much better. I'm not using a VPN.

Searched "Brake fluid" Displayed 3-4 samples, not all options. I had to search multiple variations: DOT 3 brake fluid, DOT 5.1 brake fluid, DOT 4 brake fluid, and others.

the app finally opens after about 20 seconds but then it goes to a screen that looks like it's trying to update but nothing happens. I deleted data and cache and then tried to sign in and I can't even do that now. This has been going on for several weeks.

they dont always have the required amount of parts (4 hose clamps) and their prices are quite high. you might need to visit multiple locations to gather all required parts for a simple job.

I had to come back and drop my review. from 5☆ to 1. The app is still basically the same as it was a year ago when I wrote my review after using it for a few years but now it is so incredibly SLOW it's practically unusable. Opening the app takes a solid minute or so to load, search for an item & there's another minute +. Click on an item and the same thing. Just to look at 1 basic item takes 4 minutes whereas it used to be lightning fast. It's absolutely brutal! S25 Ultra Phone fully updated

this app(like the company) is just awful. Works maybe a quarter of the time, pulls up parts that aren't even for the vehicle im looking at, and logs you out all the time.

I have some serious reservations and concerns about this app. It's frustrating when you order something specific and receive something completely different, only to find the app changed your order to match their stock or what they prefer to sell. The oil change special also seems like a scam when comparing prices. Online discount codes and promo codes should also apply to in store purchases. Embarrassing as a customer to sit in the store parking lot, order the part online and pick up when ready. Advance Corporate needs to change this practice for great store associate and customer satisfaction

Unusable. Won't let me create an account. The create account menu won't close out, takes up the whole screen, and prevents me searching anything. Awful.

This app could be great but it gets annoying everytime it opens it asks you to turn on location sharing when I don't like to turn it on. Why can't it do like other apps and just remember the last location set or for you to enter the Zip code manually.

insanely slow for items and prices to load. fix that and its a perfect app. certainly not a rare occurrence of the app being slow. cleared cache logged out uninstalled reinstalled and it is still taking 3 minutes to load up a search for dot4 brake fluid

The last update wants me to turn on the GPS in oder for the app to work. it's really annoying, i don't want the gps on all the time. is my privacy and my decision.

easy to navigate and look up parts, very user friendly app, better than most parts store apps... however, it is extremely slow. even after the last 2 or 3 app updates, it is unnecessarily slow. with or without wifi, even with full 5G service... slow. love the app, DEFINITELY needs to be reworked and made to operate/load faster, its 2026.....

the app takes forever to load on each page and as I add additional items it takes forever for my car to update. it's excruciating to place an order online or through the app. what should only take a few minutes to order nine items literally took me 40 minutes and that's with me knowing exactly which items I needed to add and not having to search. also, with the new update you're not able to stack discounts anymore which makes it not very competitive price-wise with other retailers

this application is so obnoxiously slow that I end up spending my money at AutoZone Even though it ends up costing me more because I'd rather use a system that works properly and at a reasonable pace. I end up sitting around waiting for the app and pages to load when I could have already picked up the parts from AutoZone. food for thought for the developers of this app they ought to make it work a little better. your competitor is out competing you.

I used to love this app for convenience, but lately it's moving at a snails pace and it doesn't like to link to my PayPal account which is my preferred payment method. I like having to order and pick up what I need and move on since my work day is early and long. nothing against in store shopping, but if I know what I need the app is a better option for me but so annoying it loads so slow.

This is a great app. Except for the fact that every time I hit the recent apps button and select another app, it goes back to Advance. Basically saying that I have to stay on Advance. So in order to go back to what I was on, I have to hit the home button, then go where I was gonna go. I wish they would get this fixed, because it's been happening for a while now, and I'm over having to remember to do it a different way just for one app Edit 2/26/26: STILL HAPPENING! the app was easy to use. their business model with the app is extremely horrible though. they will let you purchase a non-returnable item and not tell you that its non-returnable until after you find what you really need at another store for a fraction of the price and you try to return it (in factory sealed packaging) to save over $130 in parts thats not needed. lifelong advance auto customer lost

2/11/26 still issues. Out of all the apps on my phone, this is the only one that gives mebissies when trying to use. Gets hung up and freezes. Makes me wonder what kind of programming is behind all this when other store apps and even bank apps never have this issue. The store itself is great, the app, not so much. It freezes 90% of the time when I open it up. Frustrating. So now I resort to web browser. Don't ask me to call you and troubleshoot. Galaxy S10+, no issues with any other app.

App's functionality is horrible. Won't let me sign in. Keeps forcing to enter bundle items even though i'm not looking for bundle items. Website is no better. had to enter my password in three times before it accepted it. Then it keeps a frame of my profile and unable to see the rest of the website. when I scroll to the website, it keeps prompting me for bundles. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still getting the same.

This app is stupid! Before, it wouldn't open— now it would not let me check out my order even when using the saved payment method. I even tried re-adding a debit card and it still didn't work. I made it to the store without being able to place the order in advance, through the app. What a waste of time. You should fire all of your developers!

I spent real money on this app that went through the website. I picked up my order from the store. When I returned the parts they graciously decided to turn my real money into a gift card for Advance Auto parts. Once again with real money. When I called and the "help" desk they informed me all they could do was issue a paper check that they could mail. Joshua the call center supervisor was completely unhelpful. I won't purchase anything from advance auto again.

I like being able to price check parts easily. I have ordered for in-store pick up also. I have not had delivered from them though as if I'm going to wait for delivery, there's cheaper options online. Surprisingly, Amazon is proving to be a good option! I rarely buy from Amazon or online though. I prefer to buy in-store to help keep the stores & local jobs open! Thank you for not closing my 2 local locations.

App takes forever to open if it opens at all and it has nothing to do with my internet or cellular connection.

Frustrating. I literally install the app to combine speed perks, then uninstall it. If you follow a link, app automatically opens and hangs for 10 seconds. Come on guys. Great store, app is slow. Additionally, your Google search results will display a searched part, let's say a starter. Returned result is usually with a low price. When link is clicked, takes you to a completely different part, with an exorbitantly higher price. Feels Deceptive.

I've been using Advance auto parts for years. Even before cell phones and apps were a thing and I love the store but this app sucks. Incredibly slow to open to the point of being unusable. From the reviews, a lot of people are having the same issue. The developers reply are almost always, insinuating the phones or wifi are the problem. I have a brand new Galaxy S25 ultra and I can assure you none of the other apps I use have this issue. Get it together man.🤦🏼‍♂️

In all my years of being a DIY light auto maintenance, i.e., oil changes, filter changes, wiper blades, bulbs, etc, etc, Advanced Auto has been my go-to place. The added benefit of the Advanced Auto App & Speed Perks program just adds to my Loyalty Factor. Finally, the Advanced Team members are always available to assist with questions/suggestions I may have whether via phone or visit.

This app runs so slow to the point it is so frustrating to use. It's actually easier to just call the store and that way you can also confirm the store has the part since the app has been inaccurate many of the times I've actually had the patience to use it. Update: So they continue to make excuses and blame the phone/network/user for their failure. When ALL other apps and services work and NUMEROUS others have reported the same issue, you would think they would get a clue.

I love Advance! I have two stores close to my house, so if the one across the street doesn't have what I need I usually only have to drive 5 minutes to get to one that does. Their app is easy to use for placing in store pickup orders, and my parts are almost always ready within 30 minutes, which is great when I run into an unforeseen issue while completing a major repair. They also offer same day delivery in case my only car is in pieces! Great store, great deals, great selection, A+++

App searching for parts easy. Several things could make searching easier, not app specific. One suggestion, make sure item descriptions are completed. Many items don't say a size, general overall, ID(inner dimension), OD(otter dimension), height, width, & lengths. I also found multiple errors, not just grammatical. I've found hose & tubing that listed price by the foot, but told pricing is by the inch. A huge price difference between $0.99ft & $0.99 an inch=$11.88 ft. NOPE!

The slowest, crappiest running app on my phone. It barely works. One Plus 12. Also, it's not my phone, wifi/data or any issues on my device. Even if I turn off my VPN, restart the phone, clear the cache/force close the app it still operates the same and has on every device I've had it installed on. other apps operate perfectly fine yet this one is so slow it barely functions. I will also say that a few times Advance Auto Parts have nearly lost sales because I couldn't get it to work properly.

The app is so slow. Almost unuseable do to how slow it is. I search and item on Google and select the item that pops up for advanced auto and the app doesn't even load the item it just stays on the dash board. It takes 30 plus seconds to load the app. On top of that if you want to order parts good luck because if you added the wrong part in your shopping car it is gonna take you forever to change it. This app used to be snappy and fast. But ever since it was updated it is the worst app out there

The store is great. Their app not so much. If I don't sign out of my profile every single time that I use the app the next time I open it it just says ugh cuz this is frustrating. We're experiencing problems on our end. I then have to uninstall the app and reinstall it to be able to use it. It's been this way for 2 years now. I've called to report it still 2 years later. Still the same problem every single time

App takes forever to open either from clicking on the app directly or from a Google search and clicking on the part. I can't stand using Advance Auto Parts due to that. Follow up to reply. It's happened on all phones I've had over the last few years, phone service is not the issue weather wifi or network. It happens all the time and none of my other apps have the issue. My friends have the same slow opening on their phones also.

Placed a same day delivery, wasn't delivered within 24 hours. Called to find out where it was, since the app stated it had been picked up. The store said the order was still waiting pickup, and the store employee called their customer service who stated they had no record of the order. There's a bug here, but most of all, an employee should have notified me of the issue when a same day delivery order is still at the store the next day. And it's impossible to get my mil discount on the app.

Easy to use and enter vehicle details. Allows searching for multiple selections (direct fit, universal, brand specific). Great customer experience. In response to the developer, to get 5*, I'd have to say more of the refurb (rebuilt) part availability, sometimes that's the budget some of us customers are working with and that would save me from having to go search the salvage yards just to get parts a little cheaper than brand new..

Their current app is repulsive compared to the past. I feel like I'm trying to buy something from the cat in the hat. Colors don't work, fonts are too large. I've been a customer here for years, but this is the worst app design I've seen out of everything on my phone. Reply: Yes thank you re the font size adjustment. The colors, there are too many. Branding colors, banners, reds and greens...not good if one is color blind. Just go to black font color and let us read something is out of stock.

This app has worked out well for me. It keeps track of all of the perk bucks that you earn so you don't forget about them. It also warns you when they are about to expire. It's also very easy to search for any part or parts that you may need. I haven't had any issues with this app yet. As for the stores.... I've had 1 issue that resulted in a big screw up with my parts being dumped on some unknown person's porch! It was doordash's fault mainly but AAP also had a hand in it.

Ugh, this is frustrating! At first I thought this app was great. Easy to create an account, sign up for Speed Perks, find a nearby store, order parts, etc. But one day when I started the app I got a message that says "Ugh, this is frustrating". The only way go get rid of it was to clear the app data on the device. Annoying but whatever. Next day the problem happened again. And the next day and the next. I shouldn't have to do this every day that I want to use the app.

overall, it is a good app to check for parts and order. I would like to be able to add more vehicles to my garage, access manuals / diagrams. Also, speed perks have become more difficult to acquire in my opinion. Still, not many bugs on this & mostly accurate on the online inventory of parts (if the app says "in stock" more times than not, it will be at the store)

usually pretty quick no hassle. the app is ok.. a little slow, feels bogged down. the closest store to me is great though. there's always at least one or two team members who are very knowledgeable and helpful available and the generic tools are sturdy and reliable in my experience, as well as being about a third the cost of the big tool brands. loyalty coupon speed perk program is nice too.. but again, sometimes a little inconvenient.. miscellaneous complecations

The only way to buy the parts you need. Countess times I've been into the store only to get sold the wrong part, or told that what I want doesn't exist in their inventory options. Low and behold, when I use this app to make my purchase, all those errors stopped. don't waste your time dealing with useless countermen that don't have a clue what you're talking about. Just buy online, pick up in the store and save yourself hours of headache and wasted time/gas.

As others have stated, the app is very slow; about ten seconds for anything to load. But it's gotten worse than that. Many buttons don't work anymore: edit store, edit payments, etc. Right this minute I'm trying to order two parts for pickup. Both are available at a nearby store but I am unable to change the pickup location of one part at my main store, which doesn't have the other in stock. So if I want to use the app (and use an online discount code) I have to go to both locations.

This is the best app between the big 3 parts stores around here! (Advance, Auto Zone, and O'Reilly) It's also the only one of the 3 apps that actually remembers my vehicles, etc when I come back without me having to enter it all over and over. They also have the best prices and best promotions.

very slow, very buggy. lots of room for improvement. oil bundles could Def be improved for convenience (not price, it's a good deal). if I was a lady, I'd get the wrong thing. it says exactly fit on the 5 qt but my truck takes 7. it's way too difficult to add 2 quarts separately without the bundle and ensure its the same as the 5 qt.

I like how ordering online through my account. makes it so I can look up the correct parts myself. easier to make a decision between the different options. plus I don't have to deal with having a employee look up the parts then having to check out at the register and pay. now all I have to do is walk in give my name get the parts leave. it makes my inner hermit very happy.

It's nice that they have deals online. However, I wish that you were able to get them in store as well 🤷‍♀️ other than that, app is pretty easy to use. I had issues using my card for some reason until finally I tried adding it to my account for future purchases and it finally went through after that.

Nothing works, slow and not user friendly. Add to cart just loads and nothing happens. Finding frequent parts is annoying and complicated. Suspension? All scattered everywhere. You have to search to see if it's for the front or back. Your systems at the store are streamlined for a reason. Your app should be the same. This app has frustrated me for a long time. I'm done, this purchase was only going to be about $500, I'm sure they don't care. Nothing "advanced" about Advance Auto.

Absolutely by far the slowest app I have ever used in my life! I can't even describe how slow this app is. Must still be running on dial-up servers. Literally! And you can't use points in store. So I have to spend a whole 8 hour shift just to find parts to buy. Mind blown! It's no different in store either. Their systems inside the store are just as bad. You would think upgrading would be top priority. No sir, not advanced auto. Go check auto zone. Oh their system sucks too? Well ebay it is.

Such a garbage app. Links open the app to parts that aren't for your vehicle. It doesn't say it doesn't fit your vehicle until you put it in cart, go back into the item. The search feature is nearly useless, you better know almost exactly what they name the part or it won't come up in your search. It lags when you try to open it, way to complicated to change the store you're wanting to pick up from. Your response tells me you didn't read my review. Your app doesn't show if the part fits.

Need better way to change stores when your preferred store is out of stock. I had to reselect the items and indicate that I wanted to pick it up at a different location. then I had to go back into my shopping cart and remove the items that were in there that were still pointing to the store that had them out of stock. you're very cumbersome and can be dangerous way of doing this. you could accidentally order more items than you intended. Advanced Auto needs to take a look at the app and fix it.

The app works much better following recent updates. It's at least as good as some of the people behind the counters at some auto parts chain stores at helping you locate the "right part" at the, *ahem* "right price." Now if my "Elite Member" SpeedPerks status enabled Perks bucks that didn't expire...

The online order system works great! I do wish however that all of my transactions, both online and in store were available to review in one place. Apparently in store purchases are only logged at the store where that purchase was made. When a paper receipt is in my storage unit 3 states away and I want to make a very rare warranty claim it sucks if I'm left helpless unless I can remember which Advance store the bad part came from. That's assuming I can have that store reprint the receipt!

I can usually find good deals on the parts I need. promo codes work most of the time, but in the fine print usually don't apply to the parts I need. I stand corrected, as an elite member, which I am, I can apply more than 1 speed perk reward/order. I was not aware there was a dash board to control that in the app. This is a much better experience than buying from the "zone".

After previously posting app was slow to load, I noticed other apps also loading slowly. I believe the issue is due to a recent update to Android System WebView although I'm not entirely sure. Once I got home and connected to my WiFi everything seemed to work properly so it could've been an issue with my phone service after all, despite speed tests showing 100 Mbps. Either way, I appreciate the quick response from the developers. Thanks for providing great customer support.

Two stars are a reflection of the App itself, not necessarily the stores or products. My issue, Oil Bundle that CLAIMS every brand of oil is unavailable in an attempt to keep you from saving large sums while the company can say, we tried. However, if you edit your cart, adding a second 5 Quart of the same Oil supposedly out of stock, update cart then edit again to remove the second jugs, suddenly the store has the product in stock and you can complete your order. ridiculous and unnecessary!

Can't see store availability until you put it in the cart. I went through picking my items 3 times, each not available at my normal store, before I just gave up. It's a pain to have to pick items sever times before knowing where it's available. I don't want to go to several different stores to pick up everything I need. I deleted this app within 15 minutes because of this.

poorly designed app. instead of selecting the product, and then seeing a list of stores where the product is available for pick up, you have to select the product and then individually select store after store to learn if it is in stock or not. make sure that you have lots of time available to hunt and peck over and over, part by part!

I love the Speed Perks rewards!!! They have saved me so much money since I signed up and registered in the app. The coupons are very helpful and have saved me a great deal of money as well. The garage feature makes it easy to switch between multiple vehicles. If you service your own cars, you cannot, not save money shopping whit Advance!!

Works, and I like how it shows nice and clear that the part is an exact fit for the car. I didn't enjoy scrolling and scrolling to see the weekly offers, though. I didn't see the offer when I looked up the part, but I had to go to the "deals" page and scroll all the way down. Also, the hours for the store I went to pick up were wrong on the app, but right on google maps. I took a trip in vain because of this.

App is barely functional on the best of days, and completely unusable on the worst of days. if you have anything lower than 5 bars and a 4G data connection, you will never be able to load your perks bucks to use them in-store at an Advance Auto Parts. I have gotten used to loading them up at home on wifi, taking a screenshot, and than driving to the store and having them scan that so I don't have to load them on a data connection.

too many problems to list. some of them include no return to shopping cart after you've added something to your car and then viewed it. buttons go to wrong links. click by now and it goes to either rebate form or shopping. after a page loads there's a delay before the page then moves and when you click on something before the delay it brings you to something you don't want to go to.

Lacking. I am disappointed in the search function. When looking for parts, 99% of the items are listed as "May not fit (insert vehicle here)". This should absolutely not be the case. I know there is an "Exact fit" option, but you must select it. Let that be the default option and then we have to unselect that option when the need arises. Everything else is decent about the app. A suggestion would be to have the sought after part transferred to the store of choice as an option as well. Thanks!

There are two reasons I'm not giving 5 stars. First, while AAP is finally showing clearance prices online, if u order online and pickup, u will find that the stores price is even cheaper than what u literally just paid. And 2nd, I'm tired of seeing "in stock nearby" and then I look and I almost NEVER find where this "nearby" store is that supposedly has it. Very irritating. But other than that, love it

So far this has saved me about 25% off the parts I've bought. Pretty good deal. I read the other reviews and have not had any of those problems. Perhaps they haven't been ordering the right part. I've bought a lot of parts for two different vehicles and always set the search for the exact fit. I've not noticed any lagging either and I'm using an LG phone that is 2 years old.

As a literal Advance employee I loathe both the app and the website alike. Every time I need to guide someone through the app/website there are popups everywhere. It's not easy to use and it is laggy. Want to use speed perks coupons for a online order and it's the wrong part so you need to return it? Zero support. No way to get that coupon back. Want to order locally because you LIVE there? Too bad. The app decided to are 300 mi away and now you have to contact the listed store. Pathetic...

The app is great and easy to use. You can log into your existing advance Auto parts account and use your perk rewards as if you were on a desktop. I'm giving this score because I can't see a reason why I shouldn't be able to screenshot or screen record this app. This is very inconvenient when I'm asking an employee to pull up items via part number. I'll change my review when this update is made.

It works but it doesn't work.... your app and well as your site wouldn't allow me to purchase an Oil Change Combo, when it gets to the "Pick filter" option, it's greyed out completely. I changed the vehicle thinking maybe you just didn't have any, nope, still wouldn't go. Tried 3 different devices, same issue. I became so frustrated that I went to one of your leading competitors and purchased it. Your process is simpler and prices are cheaper - but that doesn't matter if it doesn't work.

The app worked rather well before the previous update, and now it's useless. No matter the vehicle selected, or if I'm signed in or not, if I search for any part, bundle, tool, or the like the search takes forever and says that 0 results were found. The most recent update has bricked the app and made it a literal waste of space on my phone. Until the issue is resolved use the vastly more reliable website, and avoid the waste of time that is this app.

Pretty good, with a few annoyances. Mainly you have to login every single time (and you have to go out of your way to do it), and it doesn't store credit cards or hint to android to use a saved card--so every purchase you have to enter it again. Outside of that it's pretty good--search is painfully slow but that's the same on the website, so I wouldn't fault the app.

Overall the app is fine, but the search engine is absolute garbage. I FREQUENTLY search things I KNOW Advance has, that won't come up, or I have to reword 7 times to get to the correct result. Many things have to be worded EXACTLY the same or they won't even show up in a search they should. This happened just yesterday with a 3/8 drive 1/2" socket. Obviously Advance has it, but your search engine is not at all intuitive. Major downside, as it ruins the main functionality and entire point of app.

I love Advance Auto and will gladly change this review to a five-star if they fix their app. This app is full of bugs that will make you rip your hair out. Doesn't remember your credit card. Always signs me out of my account for no reason. Sometimes I'll be in the middle of a checkout and just about the complete and then it errors out and removes all of my items from my cart. If you are reading this, just do yourself a favor and use the desktop website.
