If you have Long Covid and/or ME/CFS, you should get this app. A lifesaver for tracking symptoms and what treatments and medicine you take on a given day. Plus, we get to contribute to Long Covid and/or ME/CFS research.

Surprisingly easy to use. The symptom tracker is my favorite thing. Very useful.

The symptom tracker is particularly useful. It has the ability to warn you if you're overdoing it (I have long covid), but only with a Fitbit, even though it is capable of pulling historical data from Garmin. Would sure have been nice if it would do that for the Garmin watch I received from a study I'm participating in, which also uses this app.

update 5/4/2025 app took a awhile to get data but I'm suffering less burn outs and crashing thanks to the pace reminders . recommending people try this over a well known band now .

Honestly, a really easy and manageable way to keep track of symptoms and treatments. Hoping this will help when I next visit the doctor.

After so much of our ability to contribute to our communities has been taken away by decades of living with ME, it feels good to at least be able to contribute to ME research.

Extremely helpful for sufferers of long covid. I like that you can customize symptoms, and view them easily in the calendar to see trends over weeks & months which makes it easy to track any progress and improvements. I also love that I can link my daily Fitbit stats with this app, so I can see exactly what my average steps are and active minutes across the month and whether I've overdone it or if I am within my "safe" amount of activity to avoid crashing.

It would be amazing if the app functioned properly and the "support" email got you anywhere. I have earned 2 gift cards and the actual gift code will not show up for either. I have emailed the "support team" multiple times (with screen shots) over the past week or so and still no resolution or anything.

I love the reminders to journal. helpful to remind d me that I'm not a total sloth. I'm curious to see how they use my data and if it will ever help anyone, including myself

Symptom shark is so useful!

When I load the app, has this weird glitchy screen for a second. otherwise it's fine the remainder of the time.

I use the Symptom Shark portion of this app and I love it so much! As someone with a chronic illness, this makes tracking my symptoms and treatments so easy. The app is fully customizable, so you can add/remove symptoms and treatments at any time. The data helps me detect flare-ups sooner and provides a simple way to show my doctor exactly how I've been feeling between visits. Before using this app, I'd often forget to mention issues I'd had a few weeks earlier.

Easy to join as a participant for a wellness program or research trial

Seems to be working okay now. Only current issue is the inability to add the newest booster. It's been available for a couple of months.

This records COVID Test results, but assumes the date/time of the test is right now - not 5 or 10 days back. Terrible program design.

I have Long Haul Covid (PASC) and between brain fog & a whole bucket full of medical issues that have reappeared, I often forget important symptoms & questions when I see my primary, or specialists. This app has made ut so much easier to give my Drs. a full picture of my issues as well as an easy way to make notes about things I want to discuss as threatment options. Today my primary & I got through the 10 or so items I had for discussion, quite efficiently, because I could read the list!

Tha app won't even download. I received an invite to be a part of a study.

I support the concept of this app and hope it continues to expand. PowerMom is an amazing program.

I like being able to keep a record. I don't always see trends in my life so this helps me very much, especially when talking to my doctors.

My app is frozen on task complete, I get no reply from phone or text messages to help line. I don't know if I am getting more test kits, out now.

Freezes and is unresponsive about half the time. Says I need to validate my email but I've never received an email for validation and doesn't give the option to resend. If it does have the option, it isn't responding when I tap on it. I have a study code but don't see the study in the search. The instructions for the study say to "input code" to find the study but that isn't an option.

I wasn't aware of this program and thought I could add my test from 4 days ago along with my strip picture plus the one I did today with that picture but unfortunately I wasn't able to and i didn't know about the program prior to today after I had done two of my tests. First one was negative today's was positive. Too bad. I could have contributed a lot more information to the study. And yes I have proof with pictures and a Dr appointment in between them. Good luck with this study.

Fastest fix! So easy yo use!

Fastest Fix Ever! Noticed application was crashing after last update. Reported to support and saw new update within two hours! Application working fine now. Wish all application had support teams like this. Five Star Service! Thanks

Can not enter birthdate in test results. I'm not going to hit the previous month button 60 times. Does nobody test their software anymore?

Easy to use, I just didn't decide to do the research study.

Gets stuck on inputting info. Can't add booster shot information because "next" is grayed out.

Both App and website not allowing me to upload home testing results.

I've taken 2 COVID tests so far. I used the web to upload the first result but even after granting the app permission to use my camera it is still not working.

App doesn't properly function. I downloaded this app to record and save at-home covid test results as they are required to enter restaurants in my area. The app sat on a white screen for 5 minutes after I logged in. I got to the part where I had to take a photo of my test strip and submit, but the app gave me an error. I tried submitting 15 times and each time I got an error. I finally closed the app and went to the website, which also works poorly, and was able to submit my results no problem.

Have not been able to successfully upload a photo from the app. Works fine from the web page. Uninstalled and will use web interface.

4 days nothing but a blank white screen for 10 minutes then it closes. Tried reinstalling same problem. Tried going to the website, says use mobile app. Well I can't use the mobile app till you fix the mobile app. So please fix it! Some of us have to fill out daily surveys and forms so missing 4 days is not helpful. Please fix your app!!!!

Great idea but please add other vaccines to list. I live in Australia and we have the UK developed Astra-Zeneca vaccine available here. However, it is not listed as an option on the app. Could you please add the other vaccines that are available worldwide to your app so your data set will be more complete. Thanks.

I Uninstaller because it does not support a Samsung watch.

This used to ok when I had a Fitbit. I moved to a Mi Band 6 and it useless. My Mi Band 6 syncs hearth rates to Google fit but it only appears to sync step count.

Love this app affiliated w/ U of MI program I've been involved in for past apprx year. Easy to use, nearly always works daily loading up at 6pm.

Blank screen is all I get

No connection for Withings. Said elsewhere that it could connect to Withings, but it only connects to fitbit.

Does nothing. Installed, uninstalled, restarted phone, installed... over and over. When try open app. Get nothing but blank white screen.

I have to log into or three times a week because it loses my password data. When I do, I have to rig configure to allow it to connect to my Fitbit every single time. Getting annoying.

Messed With My Numbers. Forced Google Fit to track on top of my syncing Garmin numbers causing the number of steps to be significantly higher than actual. This was despite having that disabled in Fit settings. Uninstalled this app and problem went away. Unfortunate, as I was interested in participating.

After an update I was no longer able to login with email and password. I would get "server error" messages when I tried selecting forgot my password. I never received a response after I emailed costumer service. Just terrible.

Stopped working. Update doesn't recognize my employer or my account. Site is slow online and defeats purpose of the app. Hate it. No reply to several emails sent asking for help. Sent more emails to address listed below. Still no reply to my .gov email.

Falsely advertised as working with Garmin and other devices, but only works with Google Fit and Fitbit. The real issue is that Garmin does not sync with Google Fit natively, so third party software required. If this was commercial software, ACCC would be all over the vendor.

Was working fine for months. All of a sudden, it logged me out and when I try to log back it it tells me I don't have an account.

Easy enough to share tracker data, but no option to update/change symptoms if tracking an illness within the app. Need the ability to go back and change the symptoms I'm experiencing.

The reason I joined was to potentially help others, but I don't see that happening, so I check my resting heart rate from overnight to contrast it to previous nights sleep.

Says it works with Garmin devices but doesn't give that option in the app, only Fitbit and Google fit. Syncing Google fit with Garmin seems to require third party apps which I'm wary of. I'd love to participate if Garmin is added in the app.

How do I pair this with the apps I use so that my data gets to mydata Covid. Keeps saying no data. When I signed up to Mydata it said it could work with Garmin, but only lets you choose Google fit or Fitbit.

I'm unable to update my symptoms. The Fitbit syncing seems to work fine, but it only let me input symptoms on my first day of being sick. Now I cannot get back to the symptoms screen. Thus I cannot provide accurate data.

App is fine but its not wanting to connect to mychart. If it connected how long is it going to take before it shows us that it got out information

This app works fairly well, however there seems to be issues with it connecting to my healthcare provider. It connected fine when I first set it up, but then when I went back into it, it reported an issue connecting. I try reconnecting and it shows a confirmation form from my healhcare provider that I click ok on, and then end up on a blank screen, but get a notification from my healthcare provider app that a connection has been established, as well as an email, but when I go back to this app, it continues to report that there's a connection issue.

This was supposed to work with my Garmin smart watch, but as far as I can tell - and after wasting quite a lot of my time - it doesn't.

I do research studies for money or some other type of benefits. I am not spending two years answering questions rap if I am sick and not get some cash cash. If I got paid, or learned new heath info, or had some benefit..I would consider it. Call me when you want to pay me to answer your questions.

Unless you are a regular Fitbit or Garmin Fit user, dont bother.

The growing coronavirus pandemic has made many people like myself think about how we can help without actually being scientists. This app gives me the ability to be a part of a growing citizen science collective. With just my Fitbit, I can help research teams gain insight into my health and the health of others involved. With enough data we can advance science and save lives!! I can't wait to see how this app changes the world and I'll have helped!!!!!!

The app didn't work for me at first. The developer's suggestions did not help. What did work was restarting my phone. It's fine now.

Does not work with Garmin. Tried connecting through google fit and health sync. Health sync wants subscription fee after 7 days. Data did not get downloaded from google fit to My data helps. Fix the app and provide native connectivity to various wearables ...not just fitbit.

There seem to be some misunderstandings about the privacy protections in place with this app. The user agreement describes how the data is de-identified before it is analyzed or provided to any third parties. This means they are NOT including any protected health information (PHI) with any data that could be used to identify you. It is anonymous. In addition, all PHI is strictly protected by law. The app also makes it clear that you can opt out at any time, and that if it ever asks you questions you don't want to answer, you can choose not to answer them. It gave me full control over exactly what data I agreed to share from Fitbit. And as other reviewers have pointed out, they do not verify you are providing them your real name. Don't take my word for it, though. Everyone should read the user agreement, which thankfully is written in plain language and easy to understand. If you are not comfortable with the user agreement, then don't participate. This is completely voluntary. But know that if you have a wearable device, then you are already sharing health data with Apple, Fitbit, Google, etc. The app was easy to set up, link to Fitbit, and participate in the Scripps Covid study. No problems so far. My mother was also able to install and link it with no help. For those who may not know, Scripps Research is a non-profit academic institution of worldwide renown, specializing in biomedical research.

Works in the background and have had no issues so far. Set up was easy. A lot of people complain about them asking your name. Just put a fake one or you innitals, they don't ask you to prove it.

Regarding the FitBit COVID study: I see that “[t]he study is designed to be as passive and unobtrusive as possible and provides you with a summary of your data every month,” but does FitBit or Scripps provide participants daily access to their Premium data that FitBit would otherwise charge users for? They should. After all, users should get to see all of the data they are sharing, not just a monthly summary.

Works for me in that the setup and data collection is working ok. I'm using a Fitbit Versa 2. I'd love to sit face to face with them and ask "why does your FAQ say that you make my data anonymous and at the same time you ask for my name on the app?" It's not about hiding your name. It's about protecting your health data so insurance companies don't harvest it, etc. Birth date, zip code, gender etc are PHI which needs to be correct for the sake of research but they ask for other PII which is not needed for research. Promising they will not share your data works until someone gets the data against their will and that happens frequently. It is something you can see if you read the news about the steady stream of reports about data being compromised. Once the data is out in the wild, so to speak, who knows where it goes and what it is used for.

They only enable Fitbit and Google Fit connections, not all brands. Shame since some Garmin devices are collecting SpO2 data.

Downloaded this because of the Detect study with Covid-19. None of my data from Fit is syncing for some reason. My Amazfit Bip watch has no problem syncing it's data to Fit, so not sure why the data isn't getting loaded into this app.

This app doesn't have a way to add a Garmin Device. Only Fitbit and Google. The intro claimed it would work with multiple fitness trackers including Garmin devices. Not true. There was no "contact" or "help" in the app so if you didn't copy who to contact for help during set up, you are S.O.L. I don't know if the one through Apple Store is any better or not but I don't have an IPhone. Only Android.
