A very crude program.

Really liked the interface but experienced a lot of recursion across models that don't exhibit it in other environments.

Make it structured more like a conversation-based app in which the usual layout on most AI apps can be seen, with conversations, a new chat button on the sidebar and a library with your models. Also, allow the options that most cloud AI apps (and some local ones) have already adopted, including an edit button, a regeneration button and other things.

highly annoying. I set my settings to allow unrestricted access for usage in background, I turned off the setting that stops generating when leaving chat and I have 5gb of ram free while generating an image and my finger slips and hits the home button at 95% and it scraps the generation!?!? waisting my time. you shouldn't have to treat your phone like indians jones swapping out the relic to prevent the massive boulder from crushing him

chat are good but i have complain about big size file voice chat cause it's crash on my phone can be possible to have lite versions. calls crash. i have lot of unrecognizable voice calls and slow bug trouble. don't work offline translator mess the words and get dumber to understand things.

nice app but I am finding some crashes on occasion. what would make this amazing is to be able to upload a model from a device and the ability to export and import chats in case you switch device.

Very good app fast AI response and good token management. Downside is slow download for an AI model. Just pick 2b variant q4 for size management if more laggy as fk

I've tried a few different apps like MNN Chat, but this one has been the easiest to use.

useless for simple offline gguf models users, because there is no option to simply run an already downloaded model in mnn chat app like pocket pal app, uninstalling the app.

Very fast. BUT buggy mess, specially with qwen models.I tried feeding the model with a prompt file with image path, but the model produces gibberish or repetitive letters. Only when I changed "memory": from low to normal the model finally worked. The downside is it became super slow. Please help. My device is poco x3 gt 8gb lpddr4, mali g77 mc9, dimensity 1100.

When I use the thinking mode, most times the model hallucinate and never answers questions

unbelievably good, it give an look into the future, the LLM speed, if they can add search functionality, this would absolutely dominate the conversion.

Great performance but can't search for non MNN models and severely lacking even basic features. In response to the dev: The non MNN thing is just a fact... and there are no options for KV Cache quant, Chat Truncation, Response/Reasoning Limits, Hide Reasoning, set Seed, edit/delete prompt, edit/delete/regenerate output, continue generating, or Context usage.

Not ready yet (Feb 2026). Multiple issues. 1) Downloading models seems to break most of the time, with an error on header download at the end. 2) Even if the download breaks, the files seem to be stored on your phone. I have several models downloaded, but the app is using over 100GB of storage. 3) The only image generation model is laughable and slow. Maybe try again in a few months.

it must be me... I don't understand local LLM's. They are rubbish compared to online.

MNN Chat offered good inference performance when it worked, but it has been broken and unable to download models for several WEEKS. Without models, the app is useless.

Cannot download any models off HuggingFace directly because all downloads fail with an error, and I'm being told to run ADB commands just to add a local model. It's a half-baked solution and needs more time in the oven. But this more of a problem with Qualcomm's Hexagon NPU implementation which requires ADB sideloading, rather than with MnnLlmApp.

A fantastic app for downloading and running LLMs locally. The app is simple enough for basic users - just tap download and tap the model to chat (I recommend the Qwen models which are also by Alibaba like the app makers). For more advanced users, various settings are adjustable, you can import your own MNN quantized model, and the app even ships an OAI-compatible API if you want to plug it into Open WebUI, etc. Keep up the great work MNN team 👍
