App very easy to use it and caracters voices are like human, I can talk to them like a persons ,to practice my vocabulary 😀

The speech review might need tuning but I don't know how these apps work exactly. Sometimes I know I've said something wrong but it'll grade it as if I said it right. There aren't too many apps like this however, so I'd recommend this hands down. There are other useful tools with different mastery levels. There's a lot to work with here!

the application is pretty decent that teaching you the basics of language pronunciation and how to learn and practicing Japanese at this point the let down is when the AI is talking to you you having a full conversation l and all of the sudden y reset the character memories to the beginning, and forget everything you talked previously, as a roleplay speaker/learner needs more work on retaining history of the conversation.. aside from that it's ok. full disclosure I payed for a full year sub.

makes practicing another language interactive. keeps you motivated to keep practicing.

why "English" 🇺🇸 has the USA flag but Spanish has the flag of Spain!?

It's fairly original because there are lots of AI assisted learning apps but none that put you in these kinds of anime themed normal situations.

The AI is really pleasant to simply chat with, and the AI constantly offers helpful fixes for my mangled Japanese.

The app is very good and probably the 1st where the AI actually has the most natural sounding Japanese. The built in feature to save vocab words & turn them into flash cards & categorize your flashcards is a VERY nice touch. I love the way the app corrects me if I say something incorrectly in Japanese & it also shows me how I am supposed to say, in Japanese, what I typed/said in English. I paid for the yearly, but I wish lifetime wasn't so expensive. Not worth $400 more like $200 max.

This is a very useful language learning app. i used it for learning Japanese in advance level. The chat using quite impressive vocabulary. You can save the new vocab, and it provides example to help your understanding. the chat system can auto correct your input grammer or suggest a better natural speaking sentence, this is useful to make me realize my mistake. in overall is a very good language learning app.

Paywall. Waste of time.

This is a great app so far even without paying. It responds to conversation naturally, and even corrects grammar to what you mean. Definitely worth the download.

No trial period, I would be interested if I had two weeks free to see what it's like. I don't start off with a membership in the case that the money ends up being wasted, especially at this price point.

it's a program that allows you to go at your own pace, however it can be a little aggravating because of the pronunciations other than that it's a good program

seems like a pretty cool app, the developer was very responsive to suggestions and it seems like the app will continue to improve. at the moment it's more on the fun side of learning, rather than the serious side of learning a language. some of the flashcard elements could be improved.

genuinely bad. it gets 100% of conversation wrong. no matter what phrase I typed, the response made no sense according to what I or she was saying. no artificial intelligence here. just bad chat bot.

This app is impressive. The chatbots come up with very clever, even off the wall responses, and the pedagogical value is good. I only wish there were a cheaper pay-by-the-month option.

Having a conversation partner is a great way to improve vocabulary and grammar in a way that is motivating to keep up with. The program has all of the normal language practice stuff in addition to talking. This lets you practice every aspect individually and start to combine them when you chat with the conversation partners.

It's OK but lacks a lot of the elements that make a language learning app worthwhile. There isn't much in the way of actually *teaching* the language. If you make a grammatical mistake, they respond with a correction but without explaining the reason for the correction. The conversations are almost 100% led by the player, so you're not going to get that kind of experience you would have with a human teacher that deliberately tries pushing you to use new vocabulary.

Update: you can now sync across devices! There are quite a few scenarios which is good. I do not know how much the app personalises responses based on past conversations but I'm not too fussed. I am glad that the voices sound natural and not robotic - it helps me to get immersed and spend more than the 10 minutes I do on other apps.

ruined by a subscription... no ads to continue the conversation, and not enough free replies to learn a damn thing... infact it is by far the most chinsy in that aspect. you get points to use to start a chat, but both free and lesson use the same points up as do each and every reply. you say hi and the conversation is practically over lol. like always i'm sure there are way better apps out there. 4.6 stars ha, must have a bot army. not even worth 3 stars.

It's truly an amazing and very enjoyable app. I understood a lot from it and learned many wonderful Japanese phrases and words.✨️✨️✨️

I have loved this app! It makes good recommendations on mistakes and is a lot more comfortable of a learning space than a classroom lol

Seeing the words and hearing the vocal is nice. However, each conversation begins to feel like a repetitive interrogation. There's no way for a conversation to naturally close. The AI continually asks questions. Conversations are, by nature, two-way.

I'm positive that this is a fantastic app. It prepares the student directly for conversations. One can create their own replies or use ones provided. If one goes through this enough, one has to learn to talk eventually.

best app for Japanese so far. I just started and it's not giving me any payment walls. Hopefully it continues without getting crazy for is broke guys who just want to learn languages. So far, good job creation team, epic job.

really helpful new way to strengthen language skills in a real world practical way, as a Japanese learner its really good for kanji which is notoriously hard to teach/ learn

Great language learning app! The AI characters have unique personalities and the conversations feel natural. It would be amazing if the developers could add different facial expressions and poses for the characters. It would make the practice much more immersive! Looking forward to future updates.

Allows you to chat what you want and then translates that to the language you're learning, offering synonyms and explanations for each line with decent voice acting, and no ads (so far). Highly recommended

one of the most bothersome tasks in language learning is to keep finding materials which is interesting enough and easy enough and little bit challenging enough for you at the same time. but this app seems to have well adjusted difficulty for my choice and characters are attractive. naturally fun and motivating!

Finally a duolingo alternative. Not flashy, but very practical if your goal is steady improvement

Simple, clean, and surprisingly effective. Better than Duolingo

The roleplay isn't perfect, but it's good enough to make parctise feel real , which is what matters .

Tap to vocab is a small feature but it makes a huge difference in how natural the conversations feel.

Practicing Japanese here helped me realize what I actually can and can’t say yet. That feedback alone is really useful.

Good idea for practice. But the free-level limitations are too restrictive for evaluation. First: I wanted to speed up the voice dialog without making it more complex. I didn't see an option for that. Needs a rate-slider. Second: The pronunciation was bad for the language (German) I was testing. It was an American speaking German. That made it feel too fake. Maybe premium fixes that? Consider a full-featured, time limited trial period. A month to see if the app suits.
