you have to be careful which ai tutor you pick because some will have the wrong pronunciation for your language. I'm a beginner but the tutor kept giving complex instructions in the native language just to practice some basic vocabulary. I had it setup to use English, and it did, twice, the entire time I tried the app. it might be more useful for more advanced speakers but for me it was very frustrating.

beware of the predatory practice of making it difficult to cancel the subscription. You won't find the cancel my subscription option in the app settings. They make the cancellation process obscure on purpose. It turned out that I paid for my annual subscription via Stripe. You have to find the obscure link on their website that emails you another link to login to Stripe account and only there you can proceed with cancellation + Their customer support is an inefficient AI bot for the most part

This is a very clever app that is using AI as a tutor and to have conversations with. It really forces you to try and use the French you are learning. It is very good at understanding what you know and what you need to be challenged on. I like that the dictionary has a flash card option which really helps me with words that just won't stick. Also I have found that the IT team is good at following up on feedback from the users. The cost is well worth the money and so much less than a real tutor!

It's more natural, like It's real speaking with a friends.

While going over the numbers, it kept telling me that one is yi, but it pronounces it "ichi" just like how one is pronounced in Japanese. I'm not sure if I can continue if it teaches me the incorrect pronunciation and I learn it only to be incorrect in front of a Chinese person. I am currently lacking trust in this app.

this is a total waste of time because the AI keeps asking you stupid questions and it takes 5 minutes to actually get to the lesson. I think it's much better to go for an online course that's not delivered by AI

nah, after going through all the hoops(questionnaires) first time only saw standard english tutors, one Australian and one British tutor. Didn't see any option for foreign language. Tutor kept asking about my english. Then it presents a paywall after demo class. Saw it has free version from reviews...but looks like more of the same. Cleared the storage, same thing, only english tutors before subscription screen. oh well....

Muy poderoso.

Don't like it. it asks me to pay for 3 months in order to even use it once.. then I use it and it says sentences that are complex and ask a simple question then just states the English what it said. Pointless. I want my money back. I don't want to use it.

Sometimes when the tutor explains in English what words in the foreign language mean, she'll use English phonetics in pronouncing the foreign words.

it's really good app for learning spoken English. I'm highly recommended for choose this app to better spoken English practicing.

this app is super expensive! for being ai and no real tutors it shouldn't be this pricey. ai is supposed to make real human jobs cheaper. not more expensive and less useful. this app is a fail.

The AI voices do not pronounce Chinese words correctly. That makes this useless.

Tutor kept randomly slipping in and out of British, American, and Australian accents mid-sentence while speaking English. I said I was a relative beginner and he immediately came at me with full Spanish sentences, even after I asked to do a little more English in the beginning. I said the word "cuál" out loud and the voice-to-text wrote down that I had said "kual," and it corrected me for "not using an accent over the á, and using k instead of "c," saying "kual isn't a word."

Unfortunatley I am uninstalling this right away because the funtioning of the app and its wrongly advertised. You have to hold and press the microphone button whilst your speaking each time so it's NOTHING like having a conversation on something like facetime. which i must point out is EXACTLY what was advertised. There's no way of changing this in the settings either.

rubbish, I paid for a year, it goes from a bit of Spanish to fluent in a few lessons so it's too hard, it puts you off using it, I wish I never paid for it

The overall concept and flow of the app is nice, but there are too many pronunciation errors. Sometimes, it stated the word in English instead of French. For example, it pronounced "comment" (meaning how) as you would pronounce it in English. Others times, the audio glitched and you couldn't understand what was being said. Thankfully, it happened to be words I already know. However, I lost confidence in the accuracy of words I may not already know.

I was using the app for Chinese... The app was telling me what I can say.. It spoke in very high pitched tone, then Switched language to Vietnamese and then English... I screen video this for proof. I tried to contact praktika but their contact support doesn't work..

They will continue to bill you even when you delete the app. Beware! Have to cancel my bank card now.

Mixed feelings about AI. I like the program talks to you, and interacts but AI does it cure the pronunciation and keeps telling me I'm getting things wrong even for the simplest words like Ah, oh, uh. keeps telling me to repeat it and that I'm getting it wrong. I am getting nowhere with the app. Pinsular has been more effective in learning.

Completely useless system. You can literally gaslight the AI into pretending the mistakes you made are actually correct. I was trying to use it for Japanese and it used the word "to" which translates into "and" I convinced it that "to" was actually Japanese for "yes" Convinced it in a single message. This is just another yes-man-coded AI. Completely useless

unethical subscription. I am unable to cancel. paid them my money and not impressed with the teaching. the practice is okay, but the teaching and learning suck. I just want to cancel as the advertse so openly.

Do you guys are asking way too many questions. and after you finish asking me all these questions, you asked me to review the app then asked me to pay. it's better if you get straight to the point if the app is a paid app just let us know right away instead of asking us 100,000 questions.

its a nice apps

I cant take this app seriously. It doesn't really have lessons, it just kinda talks to you. This might be ok with an actual human but the chatbot is not sophisticated enough to really make this praktikal (see what I did there? lol). The worst part is when I was studying Portuguese, it interpreted what I said as Spanish and suddenly, it started trying to teach me Spanish instead of helping me make my Portuguese not sound like Spanish. Sometimes it also cannot figure out how to end a lesson.

great concept, this app started out well but the ai keeps misunderstanding clear instructions and is sometimes very buggy. for example in the chinese course it would try to translate my voice into Russian or Georgian. like, what? and then in lessons it commonly asks me questions using words that have never been previously explained in the course. this app has great potential but the bugs make it frustrating.

I don't understand the Kazakh accent at all. Very strange. I am Kazakh myself and it's actually terrible , sorry. Need to make a normal accent.

This app is overall decent, even if glitchy, but unreasonably expensive. $99 per year to renew? Im not so sure about that. I need to explore other options to see if this is really worth that price.

Before you've actually tried the app you're prompted to leave a review and subscribe. If you don't subscribe, you get a single lesson on a 5 minute timer per 24 hours. The timer ticks down even when you're silent trying to think. I was pondering subscribing if it turned out to be effective but I can't even evaluate that. You might say "do the free trial!" The free trial is 7 days while the disclaimer says it can take twice that long to see progress. So I have no basis to make a decision. Pass.

Two major issues: 1. The speach to text mishears what you say a lot when speaking in Spanish. I'm trying to talk to the Ai using the little Spanish I know and it keeps changing what I'm saying to the closest sounding English word. 2. It asks you to pronounce something, then it tells you great job even though it will admit it can't actually hear you. So this is counterproductive if you're trying to learn to pronounce a word properly. It's a great concept though.

Within the first 5 mins of my lecture, there are already problems with her definitions. I am trying further my Japanese knowledge. Praktika defined "thank you very much" as "Arigato gozaimasen" and asked me to repeat. Teaching me the wrong information. Such simple mistakes shouldn't be made. Wonder how many more mistakes are in this app that is paid for.

This app isn't good. No vocabulary list prior to a lesson. I have to use translation app if I dont want the whole paragraph/response translated. I have done 5 lessons. Not a fan.
