Absolutely the most useless and pathetic app I've ever utilized. Whomever developed this app needs to go back to developers school. App constantly tries to make a paid user upgrade to another plan, turning camera on and off is a major pain. I'm going to go back to RING as they at least know how to develop an app. JUNK APP

location based automations NEVER work. don't waste the hours I did troubleshooting, it will never work. shotty software and shotty support. Use a competitor for your smart home system or you will regret it like I did.

Can you guys update the apps to deal with Alberta's daylight saving cancellation (Alberta no longer have daylight saving starting today)? The sync time function doesn't help, the ambient light timer and video time stamp still an hour off no matter what I tried, Thanks.

Events & notifications & detection of people & objects & animals & packages hasn't been working properly for the last 1,102 days or so & it works when it wants & misses alot of events 11-2-26 😩😡

cameras will record weeds moving every few seconds (creating dozens of notifications) but other major events arnt fully recorded (animals/ vehicles/ people moving) many times the camera had sensed movement recorded for a little bit but then stops recording when they're is still something moving in fame this makes these cameras almost useless if the whole event isn't recorded you must fix this. im going to start looking into a better camera system because of this

Wyze cameras have great video. No monthly subscription necessary. You can save video to a card and it continually overwrites when it's full. So just buy the camera and that's it. Their subscription is not too expensive either. I have used it both ways. I have installed Wyze products at 4 different houses. All work fine.

make it so complicated to report an error with your app that I give up. I'm trying to help you out but you don't make it easy. you added some new stupid Halloween feature that disabled all events so you can't click on a day of the week right now. I'm sure if somebody else will take the time to figure out how to report it.

I love this app as well as the cameras. It doesn't try to force you subscribe. Your SD card is sufficient if you don't need the option of getting help in the event of a break in. I wish that the quality of the recording was better. When reviewing the video they're very pixelated and artifacty. I do like the pan and scan, only problem is for some reason it gets stuck in an area not programmed. I wished it recorded the sound when it logs talking in the events. But overall I'm pleased with it.

I purchased Wyze and a SD card to keep track of activity using Pan Scan and motion detection -both available for free. I did not have to purchase anything additional unless I required something else other than the perfect Pan Scan and motion detection option in the camera at no additional charge. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I can't tell if the cameras or the app is worse. We have had these products for years and the app is wrong or frozen CONSTANTLY. Time to find a new brand.

MAJOR RECOMMENDATION BUY ANKER EUFY! NO monthly fee needed. Bought E340 floodlight and C31 that replaced 5 Wyze4 cams that were extremely limited unless I paid a monthly fee. Now I can track more area, cars, pets, people with just 1 cam and for FREE! Slowly ridding myself of these junk wyze cams that fail to provide real security.

The devices and this app has really said eff you to customers. the devices disconnect randomly or the app wont connect to them. Everything is updated to the latest firmware and version. after many years of using these cameras im done. I will be changing them all out and going to someone more reliable. They are too unreliable for me. If you dont mind checking videos whenever the tech seems to work then these are your cheap frustrating cameras.

App and camera software need some work. Motion sensitivity is too sensitive even on it's lowest setting. App does not open correctly when opened through notifications. Otherwise the app and camera is great. Update: Cameras can no longer be connected to remotely. Keeps coming back with connection failed. Not sure what happened in the last update. Developer decided to finally respond nearly 10 years later. I've left their ecosystem already due to bugs and cyber security concerns.

the cameras cut out a lot I use to get a lot more video recording time. my cameras buffer a lot the sound quality is not great. cameras lag just to many problems. 😔

Updates will completely wipe your camera SD cards. I lost vital videos because of this. Use anyone else.

Agree with most of the low star comments. As the company has grown the quality of everything has gone down. I had their lightbulbs, wall outlets, cameras, sensors, vacuum (robot and hand one), but I can't continue to support this company, there is ALWAYS an issue. update 10/2026 - wirecutter no longer recommends Wyze. I've had nothing but more and more issues.

Always trying to connect or have to reset all 4 cameras and can't reinstall 2 if my cameras. Terrible.

3/4 of my Wyze cams have bricked. They're totally useless without the monthly subscription - but the subscription doesn't work well, it only fixes the issues they introduce in the mode you buy with the camera (not the one you buy ongoingly forever after buying the camera). The day I cancel - they send me 20 'someone is at your front door' alerts throughout the night. Constant false alerts from the instant of cancelation (from 3-4 a day to 40 a day), and they're ALL outside the detection zone.

Worked really good the 1st 3 months or so, now not working nights when I need it the most. To make it even worse they added the ability to purchase something and did it incorrectly do now Google Play Store us asking me to verify my age as if I am asking for something illegal! Get it together, Wyze or just close up shop!

latest version of app doesn't work with the pan cam duo. all that shows is a black screen for both cams

for the last year or so our Wyze thermostat has been entirely unable to follow the schedules set in the app. I can understand product and app challenges and expect the need for updates and occasional tech support but in seeking support it turns out this has been a known issue since at least 2021 with no fix in site. Worse, it seems there basic response after walking through all the 'solutions' that have never worked for anyone with this issue is to stop responding. don't buy it.

I would never get another camera from this company. I needed footage for court, I paid extra to have it saved, and when I needed it.... it was not available. DO NOT RELY ON THIS CAMERA FOR SECURITY.

Event detection is not great.. never detected the dog pooping in my yard even if pointed directly where it went. Never detected the mouse even if the trap takes almost half of the screen in focus and full lighting

the new update sucks. I have a wyze scale and now it's so much more difficult to interpret and monitor progress. I have to jump across more screens to read the same information

killed my phone's battery yet again. dropped from 3 stars to 1 because of it. I've turned off background usage. there's no reason this should still be happening. fix your app!

Bad Ai, and persistent money-grab icon. It is LITERALLY laughable what the "Ai" decides is a person (stationary deck umbrella), motion (parked car that never moves) or pet (a moving branch or shadow). I pay for the top tier subscription. When they decide they have a sale, the "shop" icon has an overlay making huge, and obstructs the view, and other icons; and annoying AF moneygrab. When out next subscription cycle is up we will likely go to a different brand/system for this reason.

I very much like this app, because there is a free option. and if you just want one camera to record out of all the ones you have you can. what I don't like is that it seems like every time my power goes out or I switch Internet providers I have a problem remounting the cameras up to the receiver. also they only allow 3 wireless camras and to be hooked up at a time, you can still do wired but I wanted more wireless. anyways you get what you pay for

They deleted previous review: Cams are joke, a toy. Go buy a real cam system if you need to count on it. Garbage equipment / AI combo that never 'learns' even with hundreds of Reports back to them. Also 100's of false alarms even with proper settings. Fraudsters also ship you Refurbed cams, as if new. Sent back the 2nd cam to die in 60 days. Losers say "well it's under same warranty even though a refurb", as if i have the time to waste to keep dealing with Returns & have the system down.

SD Card Inserted constantly getting this notification. Can't find anything online that tells me how to fix this issue.

In the past 4 years the software bugs in this app keep piling on. it's worse when new versions are released. Very annoying and confirms the reason why this product is unreliable. The Oct/2026 update for example messes up the orientation control built into android 16 making the app useless on tablets that are used in landscape mode. Sad.

Company has mixed unblockable marketing ads into the notifications for camera and home monitoring. You cannot turn off their marketing ads without turning off notifications for important things like your cameras or home monitoring, scummy thing to do

The self promoting ads within the app are sooo annoying. I already paid for the product, just leave me alone.

I installed Wyze specifically to use its free features. From the beginning, I deliberately avoided paid features, trials, and subscriptions. I never authorized a paid subscription, yet I discovered recurring charges through Google Play and had to track down and cancel the subscription myself. Wyze, please explain how this subscription was initiated and refund these charges. I'd appreciate a response from customer support.

3 of my 5 cameras not working.just paid a $192 for a yr subscription again only to find out that the cameras i used has been discontinued. they wont reset or restart and support cant help. now i need a refund am getting run around. these v3 cam were discontinued before my new subscription. i am so disappointed and to make matters worst they offering me $15 that's like a slap in the face.

I'd like to see more schedule options, like 10am to 5pm, just not on weekends when im home. I have to turn off alerts and then remember to turn them back on come Monday. I pretty much always forget. Good app and free so not too bad, although I wonder what Wyze does with customers' video content. Getting popup ads from wyze in the app when I'm trying to check a camera in a hurry is where I draw the line. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Records with okay quality but the app needs a redesign. Everything loads quite slowly and the intrusive ad component literally covers the view of the cameras when you open the app. Blocking the view of the camera I already paid in order to sell me more things makes no sense.

I down loaded this app and can not delete it had no clue but they havd been charging me for about 6 months and my camera doesnt hook up to it so cancel my subscrition now

I don't understand why and it's been doing it forever. you can't watch what's going on. it freezes up constantly on my android phone. and doesn't pick up half of what's going on outside. I canceled my subscription. why pay for something that doesn't work. it's a pain to try and keep it running. im done....

things were great when first installed but within the last month I haven't been getting notifications. Ive reset and restarted but nothing. Ive sent numerous reports with no response or change. What am I supposed to do?

used to be good but now stops recording at like 930pm and doesn't record anything overnight anymore and will start recording again at 530am. I never changed anything on the settings

i bought this cctv because it has a time lapse recording, but there's bug in time lapse sometimes it doesn't record time lapse

Glitzy. Works properly only 60% of the time. Once a week, if not more, I have to restart every camera. Daily, I get prompts that say Wyze has to shut down. It's very frustrating, to say the least. I have 8 cameras. Mostly outdoors, however, there are a few inside. When strangers see the panscan feature, they are surprised and curious at the same time. Delivery people have fun moving around to watch it, watching them move in all directions to see how it tracks them. That aspect is amusing.

if you want junk then these are the best pieces of junk you can waste your money on. now they added pop up advertising to make it even worse. don't buy these products

the app keeps getting more and more aggressive and invasive, at this point actually interrupting you to try and sell you more equipment.

First they force you to go unlimited at $100 subscription if you dont want dumb notifications bothering you, even if there was previously a 3 (all i need) camera sub for $30 which they kicked you out from. Then even with subscription its almost impossible to stream when youre outside your home, if its not through your own WiFi, its hard to load. Nothing wrong with my mobile internet. YouTube is smooth, Tapo new camera with free ai smart detection steams almost instant.

Buy a different brand! These are the worst cameras ever. By the time the camera connects in the app, what you wanted to see is gone. Only buy these if you want to view something live and don't care if it takes several minutes to connect. I added the premium plan to see if that would help. NO. It fails to record anything of note. A herd of 20 cows were in my yard twice and the cameras failed to notice. And I often get an error "failed to retrieve from cloud" so I cant look at events.

When they work its fine. However, they are unstable and often need setting up again, unreliable when you need them to work. Often drop connections. Have now cancelled my subscription and will search for a more reliable product

Unwanted Ads even when Notifications are disabled. A great approach if you want to alienate and anger your existing customer base so they start looking to alternative products, which I will be doing right now.

Don't buy these cameras if you have pets. It usually cannot tell the difference between a human being and a dog. The cameras think both of my dogs are people. Sometimes it thinks they're a vehicle and that's inside. I feel like I got duped because of the fair price with everything but constantly thinking a person is in my house when it's just my dogs kind of defeats part of the purpose. I wouldn't recommend getting this camera until they fix that. If they ever fix this, I'll update my review.

They are now sucking blood from you!!! $30/cam per year is ridiculous. You wish I will change it to your Unlimited plan traps. Next year they will increase to $200 per year. They used to be about $40 for 3 cams last year, even before i was paying $20 for 3 cams. Now I will change all my wyze devices to eufy. Im so disappointed with this company.

Make sure notifications are off. It's non stop shameless spam. These sniveling weasels can't stop begging for 15 minutes.

Spam Notifications: App will send marketing notifications on the "default" category which is worth -5 stars. App works well though so it got an extra star. Taking it back away because spam is becoming daily.

account repeatedly hacked after begging them I will never inquire about forgotten password and even with 2 step verification and text my number first the individual gained access and now all of a sudden it's pay for everything and I'm not gonna pay for someone so easily to gain access... don't believe me research and see exactly why this company was sued, I only wish I was part of the settlement cause now I'm out over 250 dollars that I'm fixing to throw in the garbage!

Purchased the wyze hardware. Realized a year ago once installing it that it was just subscription designed hardware. Looking for a better option.

The app works great! NOTE: be sure and get your subscription through the Wyze website or on Amazon or you will be paying 30% more from the price gouging in Google Play accounts. Just remember that when you start to subscribe and the price looks higher, it's because it really is (on Google); pain in the butt to cancel subscription and Subscribe for a better price once I figured out what happened.

I have a lot of problems with the camera's and thermostat.

Mostly good. Seems to have a hard time connecting to devices, sometimes. Occasionally, totally fails.

When they first started they were a great company. But then they started taking the free things away from their customers. Right now it's at a point you cant even get a support person to help you. Phone doesn't answer. Live chat isn't available. I'm just so glad I didn't start paying for their service. The app keeps giving issues and cache problems. The notifications are turned on eventho they they're set to be on

Everything is back to normal. App works well again. Truly one of the best wifi smart thermostats around. Tons of flexibility to set the schedule to match and use remote sensors for bedroom comfort.

my wyze cameras want come up. they had block everything I get my camera logo. I l call this bunch of bull hockey I don't understand it I had these cameras 2 years no no issues then they won't let me inside my camera sorry company. Shania Williams one star they do work good but they got an issue won't let me into my cameras you want me to do some kind of stupid survey.

I'm a new cam user but I'm really digging all that it does. it's taking me a lil while to get used to navigating around only because I am such a new user. I look forward to owning more wyze products

Great quality for the price

I have three V3 cameras that continuously give me problems with the SD cards. I've done everything that has been recommended to fix it with no luck. I believe they're firmware updates are not that good.

Update: now in 2026 with V2 and V3 cameras, they are taking forever to load the video stream. it is as if v4 is being prioritized by the server. cause I have a V4 as well and it connects within seconds. I'm not happy with Wyze anymore. Great value for money. Reliable. Stable. Decently quick connection when connecting to a camera. Easy setup. Have the doorbell, Wyze Cam and Wyze Cam 2.

I've been using Wyze for a few years. Since last week, clicking on the app only opens the website. I've followed all the chat suggestions, uninstalled and reinstalled the app.... nothing works. I'm so frustrated

I have 5 OG Wyze cameras. Two of them are working perfectly fine running version 1.0.98. Three of them are having issues with no pictures in the pop-ups running version 1.1.0.023. I have to open the app to see the notification.

Very unhappy with Wyze. researched carefully for a system with no subscription, just $ for cameras and sd card. thought that was wyze. nope. there's a cooldown period of 5 minutes that you can't change without a subscription. this means that if a thief walks into your yard, the camera snaps a pic of the edge of their shoe that first appears. then nothing else for 5 minutes, by which time the thief is long gone. it's useless and there's no way around it. sneaky, wyze. bad business.

loading the cameras is so slow. there are a lot of times that it says there is no recordings but there is. freezes up so much that they are just about useless.

the alerts are a bit delayed(60/75 sec most of the time), and sometimes not at all. would not recommend for serious monitoring, but to casually see what has happened throughout the day it's not bad. also, no matter how much you tell it chickens and rabbits are pets, it still calls them vehicle's, so that's annoying.

you have had several years to correct the problem now, your stupid software still continues to think that a bush is a person 😕😕😕😕

can't set watch 47 no

I am a shared user of my husband's account and I cannot manage the doorbell notifications. I want to be able to receive doorbell rings but not doorbell motions and I am unable to do that. There should be a way to have separate notifications for different types of things. Other manufacturers have this solution.

Family has has numerous Camera systems some work some didn't but WYZE has by far been the best and easiest to use and honestly we need more ASAP

Cameras only seem to last 1 year and then begin to give you issues but by then the warranty is over and all they are willing to do is a lousy $10 gift card toward their products. Live feed lags and SD cards on cameras wont read. Almost as if they want to force you to use their cloud system. I have been a wyze customer since 2018 and have to say the quality is subpar now, i still own the 1st wyze cam they sold and works perfect. Support will NOT do anything nor cares about loyalty.

Product itself is worthless, but this rating is strictly for awful app that continually pushes paid subscription. Took some real time to complete set up without signing up for fee. It still makes me say no every time I open app, close app, and on almost every screen I view. Shameful.

edit: service has gone down hill since my review 3 years ago. Camera says no SD card most of the time even though there is 1. Catches maybe 10% of the activity it should. Wyze used to say it would never charge, then said pick your rate, now it is a mandatory fee. These are NOT security cameras, they are for fun to check in every once in awhile. Don't plan on it working most of the time. The speakers are horrible. Basically - save your money and buy a real security camera that actually work.

Update 10/13 NOW SD cards fail/dont rec! WYZE: ALWAYS Wonder IF app/cams will work! This app (and now all devices) just went to trash! All of a sudden I can't view cameras, only reached to 1/3 trying to establish secure connection to view camera, and tried contacting support (i.e. Zendesk clueless support) and zero support or solutions! This company USED to be good, now they are useless and will be going to another more reliable company that actually offers support/solutions to customer issues!

I'm frustrated with Wyze. Cam Plus costs $29.99/year per camera, Cam Unlimited is $12.99/month, and Cam Unlimited Pro is $25.99/month. Even a microSD card starts at $18.98, and cameras cost extra. My Events show motion thumbnails, but I can't watch my recordings back. I've tried everything, including Google and reinstalling the app. Please offer free playback at least once or twice. Not everyone can afford subscriptions and extra equipment just to use a camera they already bought
