yandex is a really great browser . been using all variants years . Android PC extension etc 3 ver of android yet still in years can't find the window ver that's in eng . anywhere . yandex com browser wat doff than just search engine. so must use 3 separate extensions plus *** can't go out how to export data here ( start/ alpha or beta or hell share synch ( other browser ) please tell me if possible

good app but i can't choose where i live or what language i prefer..

Facing issue in log in. I wanna login but OTP isn't coming on my number. The network and everything is okay but the Verification code is not coming. please help

I really like this app, there I can find anything, this app is helpful and, I can say, this is better than google. But there is one big problem: it's a problem with the app language., despite the fact that I selected English language, when I enter something in the search, it's only Russian. There is Alice (ai) tho... but it would be PERFECT if English were better here! Although I know Russian, I'm more comfortable with English. :D hope ya fix that ^^

Effective, secure, and efficient. Yandex Start doesn't encourage you to set up infantilizing "routines" that force you to relinquish control over your entire existence to a machine, like other assistant apps do. You can incorporate features into your routine yourself as they become useful to you to improve your day. And you cant beat the security!

I have been using this app for 2 years now. The only reason I use it because of its lens to search and the ability to download any picture to high quality! Other browsers don't have that! I like to collect anime illustration, etc, but I require quality & Yendex nails it by providing me the art quality I need! Edit: Please remove this feature where in curtain website your built in malware defense mechanism just prevents us from entering a website! It's annoying and it's not practical! Please!

Comes preinstalled and can't be removed without additional tools Edit: To clarify, the application can be removed from the home screen, and it can be "disabled" to hide it from the general app list. But Samsung does not allow to remove it completely either through phone settings or Google Play.

Not bad, but not really top. Of the shortcomings - filtering search results, not displaying some sites, services such as maps periodically freeze. One of the most is the Protect Active Protection System. After embedding URL links in the application, a warning from Protect periodically appears instead of the interface. Click "Ignore", the site will reboot and protect does not allow access again. There is no way to disable Protect in this application.

A good search engine that actually searches for what you ask. Imagine that. It's insane to see how much gets filtered by ALL the other search engines. Please don't ever sell out like all the other search engines.

I use yandex when I want real search results without all the targeted censored and manipulated or curated b.s. I use it more and more and it's gotten very easy to use and has all the extras if you want them.

By far the best translation app, search engine, reverse image look up on the market, and essential for anyone using Telegram. Some problems recently, I believe that they are all linked to Western browsers trying to block anything that might, in any way, have some sort of link to Russia, but using a VPN with an address in Serbia has solved everything. Keep up the great work!

It used to be a best browser, but since today it's the same like others. Alice is gone from my phone. There is no microphone after I reinstalled the application. And, I reinstalled it because everytime I tried to ask something Yandex APK restarted my phone like 7,8 times. Until you change it, 1* for you...

Reverse image search is now useless By implementing their own that has limited photo access, the app has made itself unnecessary on most phones. It cannot see nomedia folders and can't reach the depths of the file structure that an actual gallery can. It cannot see outside of dcim and downloads as per Android 13 restrictions Dev response: Yes, the smart camera cannot match my gallery, simple gallery pro

I discovered Yandex a couple years ago and especially like the Yandex search. I've recently had problems with it not translating web pages and I couldn't log in to my Yandex account. I uninstalled it. 3 stars because of excellent search and probably nostalgia of when I first discovered Yandex. Please figure out these issues and I will edit this review to reflect those fixes, reinstall and use as my default and change to 5 star rating.

I've been using this browser for as long as I can remember and it was my go-to all these years instead of Google. But now it's almost unsusable. It takes me 3 times to just get it to work properly, first 2 times I just open it and it closes itself like 30 seconds later. And even after a couple of tries it's still not guaranteed that it'll work for more than 5 minutes. I'm now planning to migrate everything I have to Google. Very disappointing all in all even tho it started amazing

There is a very handy feature of subtitles with translation and voice translation. It helps a lot to learn new languages, especially English. In general, I don't really like this browser because it's slow and heavy. But there are many options and possibilities. I don't really like the design

Yandex used to block ads. I have visited the same sites the past few years and for every update I see more and more ads. Yandex strong point has become their weak point. Also the russian google as standard search page is annoying. Like some others say, setting Yandex to english does nothing. Edit: I decided to try Firefox to compare their ad block. Yandes blocked 0 out of 9 ads, Firefox blocked 8 out of 9. This is beyond pathetic

The reason I'm not rating it a 5 star is cuz that all search results appear in russian and does not appear in English even after going to app language and setting it to english. I would give it a five star if its possible to have search results in eglish . thanks.

Not there yet. Bugs. I have used their regular browser (awesome), but this one has some annoying bugs. I have set my language to English & location to U.S., and although I don't mind the search results including Russian-based results? Even U.S. pages are auto-translated to Russian & I have to manually click each one to translate BACK to English. It's redundant. A time-waster. Months now... No fix? Uninstalling. And let me be CLEAR. My profile IS set to ENGLISH!!! It does NOT work developers!!!

I used Yandex apps to replace all the Google services on a phone and it worked... It actually worked awesome. And my honest opinion is that they have the best image search I've used on a website thus far... Yandex does a good job making things easy to use it is the AK-47 of search engines

This would literally be the best in its category if it was in English. Automatically. There's no way to translate the results to English AFTER searching. Is there? Literally have to delete app due to this. 5 stars otherwise.

What a useless app ((( I gave permission to use camera, I gave permission to use mic, gave permission to use storage; trying to open site web app - just don't work! JEEEZ, DEVS, WHY YOUR CREEPY GIZMO JUST CAN'T NORMALLY WORK like other browsers???? Or at least throw some error????

On all platforms, yandex's auto translation is unreliable. Constantly have to manually tell it to translate. Can we just assume if I'm translating to English that the photos should be as well? Enough of double asking. Aliexpress every click opens a new tab. Stop that. Less tabs =less stress. Accused of being a robot too often and almost locked out. Email has times it doesn't load correctly or takes forever to load but has excellent features. Image/reverse search is 💯

The app is overloaded as hell. It takes ~5s to launch and it constantly lags. Not convinient to use unless you have a really powerful Android device...

One of the best browser I've met on markets. Minor improvements are needed of course as usual thing in other apps and that's it. Alice is my favorite super smart and funny girl. Best wishes! You're super!

The app doesn't have an incognito mode. Please add one as it is quite essential to a a web browser. Also, many of the search results are in Russian even though I have English as app language and auto translate on. Thanks

honsetly useful app but there is one thing that should add to the browser which is import history and tabs bookmarks and any other stuff like move the account from other device with all information will be really useful appreciate it !

Ok so the reason why i picked one star its because when i was about to use my yandex account it's logged out but when i tried logging back in with a right pass and email its not letting me so i tried reseting my password putting the number that was linked to my account but im not even receiving any code, so you guys better start fixing this problem and do it fast

Spam app: it was automatically installed in default phone pack against my will. Requred to waste time to find a way to strict prevent auto install, i.e. to prevent this to ever appear on my phone, even with default pack. Use USB debug for this without connecting phone to internet.

Excellent app, especially for reverse image searching, and seamless. Language issue seems to be resolved .

Amazing as it's one of the only Android browsers to support extensions, but you have to type browser://extensions to get to the menu to control them - hopefully they just add an extensions button in the burger menu.

I could not quite get the hang of it. Despite knowing my location and preferred location, everything loads in Russian which is all gobbledygook to me. When it does translate it's never all of it and takes ages. For the life of me I couldn't find settings button or desktop option. Uninstalled. To me, Yandex with Protect is better. Will try Yandex Lite next.

Would be nice if the app can develop a feature that allows the user to use it in their language. Would make the experience a lot more easy and accessible to non Russian speaking users. I am trying to boycott US products and services in preference for other alternative non dominant North American based propagative services. So please consider adding this feature that would allow a easier use for those who want to resist away from US products. Respect from the West Indies.

Who would've thought that Yandex was actually the best alternative to Google out there? I'm very impressed. As a westerner, it feels strange to dip into a digital ecosystem that isn't Google or Apple but with how clean and simple and easy Yandex all is, I'm pretty sure this suite of apps is worth trusting my data towards. Congratulations Russia. Very good work here.

5 stars just for the image search functionality alone. I get all giddy every time i jump on here, whether its to gather ideas for my next art project or just vegging out on all the pictures (for 4+ hours 🤷) this search engine consistently hits the mark on what im looking for (always the first time too) while also digging up what feel like latent curiosities buried in my subconscious via the tag suggestions. I almost feel violated (kidding..) This can't be overstated - PLEASE DONT BECOME GOO-

💯 perfect. Years of using this, safe and secure. It doesn't matter where you are in the world it just works fine. I never had any issues or crushes or anything. It was heavy at first, but now it's better n lighter than Brave 500MB of space, Google better 400MB dear Lord how many apps will you have. 😀 Thanks Ydx

Good work! You guys are probably what google used to be in the 90s, when you searched for stuff and you actually found it and several times even. Please carry on even if the playstore gets salty and bans you because how dare you have an actual functional product. Anyways I am having trouble finding the option to search by image. It is one of my favorite features of the site, I use it a lot to find the source of artwork that gets reposted without credits. Is this a function of the app or no?

Bravo! Russia... Better than other related apps. Keep it up and be strong! One request, please allow all your applications to have an option to choose from different languages so that people all around the world can understand your efforts, opinions, reasons, logic and most importantly the truth... Thanks.

I think the app is not particularly useful if you don't speak Russian or if you use other Yandex apps already. However, the Yandex Image Search functionality is FANTASTIC! The results are consistently better than those of Google's Image Search. The Yandex algorithm just "gets it". I am really impressed and the fact that you can search for images quite comfortably with this app is worth 4 stars alone.

Good app. But a little more has to be done to the translation of instructions, tips and contents summary (especially their heading.)

Fast and easy for seeking any information. Great search engine.. only please decrease for advertisement, quite frequent and sometimes disturbing

This browser sucks. It's super hard to create an account because I'm not a Russian. There's an English version of the image but it always fails even you entered correct. I answered it correctly and it still failing your image verification, I tried many times, and it's still failing. Plus this thing doesn't even have incognito mode. The UI is good better than the other Yandex with protect. Also, while I'm signing in with Google it fails with some error. Can't I just login/sign up with email?

The language of app is in Russian, and me confused during using it. Please add some options for switching languages. Thanks for developing this great app. Well, English language is better for the most people who use this app.

I was trying to use this for QR login, and it just doesn't work. First of all, it doesn't seem to have proper support for more than one account; there's no proper way to switch accounts in the UI. Second, after I did use the "[*]" button to QR login on a laptop, this button has since disappeared from this app, and there doesn't seem to be any way to bring it back, so, I cannot QR login again, since no way to bring back the camera in this app.

Developer i love the app, but user interface dont know which language, so please change to English, other than that no issues, so giving 2 stars because, i cannot interact with app.

Ads all over the place, not working as intended. Using a russian search page all the time is also annoying. The browser is good, but all the ads are killing me.

Accidental side scrolling is absolutely maddening. While scrolling down the results if I move my finger only slightly to the left or right then side scroll is engaged. It is so annoying that I'm just about ready to uninstall this app. Update: Gave it another try only to find the accidental side scroll issue hasn't been fixed at all. This makes the app unusable.

I haven't used this app that much as instead, I've been utilizing the Browser With Protect app, but I wanna say: If itz Anything like what I have discovered thusfar, "Of All Thingz Yandex", I Believe that I will like it. Yandex certainly seems more sincere that Google, and I Think that a little Real Competition is good for everyone! If Developers apply themselves the way they have with GooglePlay, Who Knows what kinda Cool Stuff they might do for Yandex? Think: "Yandex Rocks!"-R.AW. inTville, NC

The best search engine among other search engines is good and efficient, if it is more stable, it will be excellent in "desktop".

Certain images will not load when doing reverse search. It just closes the folder and goes back to camera. Everytime you guys update this app you break some kind of functionality. I dont know where to go its all in Russian.

Just installed this, set up an email account and can't actually receive any emails. Have tried sending emails from my work email address and they won't send. And everything is in Russian

Since I've been learning Russian I've found it to be a good immersion that helps me learn more being exposed to it more frequently. If anything, id recommend they have some materials to help those that want to learn the language.

Why is the app all in Russian when my location is ON and I'm in an English-speaking country? How do I change this? Update: I tried to adjust the settings to manually insert my city, state, and country, and it just reverts back to a Russian location, and the search results never change to English no matter how many times I try.

Image search refuses to stay English. Put in a location and it goes back to a Russian location. Turn on the 'Auto Translate' and it does nothing. Worthless as is per a Image Search which is all I needed. Worthless.

My app has a foreign language, maybe that is what you refer as Russian,it only translates few items if translate option is clicked, sometimes i don't know what to click for i don't understand anything. At "Home " it translates nothing. It is a good app though, but i will rate the rest if everything is made possible

Unable to uninstall. This app exists only to spam. Samsung made this bloatware uninstallable for some phones in compliance with Russian law, which was in turn lobbied by Yandex. And also, disabling app (as developer suggests) is NOT uninstalling it.

First of all, amazing app, second it's hard to know where the extension goes (there's no big plus button) and lastly, when i get on a website it won't let me interact with ANYTHING i couldn't even press a button. Can you fix this?

The best filter breaker is May. I used a lot of filters, but it did not open many videos, but when this filter called Yandex, which I used, opened the videos, I suggest it to you.

As many reviewers mention there are real difficulties setting English as the default language - the app persists with a mix of English and Cyrillic. The option of contacting support is welcome but most, I suspect, would prefer a written solution either provided here or in-app. Optimising the app to provide an English language oriented feed / home page would also be a basic need (for your English users). Data collection appears not to be optional and some may be nervous about this as well.

They have access to EVERYTHING: messages, images, spoken phrases. They say there is an opt out but when you click for more info, the opt out actually states you should delete the app. Absolutely hilarious. Get rekt! You fo NOT NEED all those data types.

Everything is in Russian and cannot be translated. The bar at the bottom is stupid and not removable, and sure it lets you install chrome extensions but you can't change the settings on the at all. If I could give negative stars I would.

this browser is the best on play store provided it needs a lil more of few tweaks 1. 'DEFAULT' DARK MODE - less battery consmptn and eye strain plus more users bc lot times usrs dnt even know such mode exists and then they luv the chnge 2. DATA SAVING MODE - love the HD images experience but its also very data consuming 3. BOOKMARKS -rarely i need the srch button on the bottom, rather bkmrks button is needed a lot more times which is not even there! 4. UI in ENG Too, dcrses users & is annoying

Hmm, you can't turn off data collecting, can't choose language, can't choose appropriate country or region (other than the measly selection hard-coded), language is a useless mix of EN/RU. All in all, sadly not an app that can be recommended. The biggest issue is still the fact that you cannot turn off data collecting, which is a clear no-go. Don't know if this is possible if you're logged in, but that still wouldn't be good enough. Disappointing experience.

Not quite comfortable to work with smart home services. To reach the list of your smart devices you firstly have to follow the route: app's main screen->services->devices->control devices. Sooo complicated... like a quest every time. Why don't you just create separate smart home app or leave links on the main screen. At least you can create vidgets for the main screen to control your smart home 'with one click'. Now it looks like you've tried to mix everything in one app... P.s. Adjusted my rate

I have been trying as much as possible to use Yandex. I like Yandex including the interface, but... there's a problem. For 3 years I still struggling with the language. I selected English language but randomly and suddenly the interface turns partially Russian language (cyrillic I think). I don't know. Yandex search engine is so good or better then Google. I have been using Yandex but from a different account .

Nice app but the mistake is that everything is written in Russian language. And I don't know Russian language. Another thing is that when I enabled Yandex keyboard there is no my Urdu language. That's why I give this app 3 stars. Please make things better so that I change my review. Thanks for this application.

This app was somehow pre-installed on my phone as part of its firmware so there's no way I can get rid of it. Had to withdraw all permissions from it and then disable it. However, it is still wasting 13 MB of my storage.

I guess the app is great but for my experience with it. What the hell Yandex appeared in my phone after updating (samsung). I can't uninstall it. I really doubt I'll ever deal with smth related to the company

Great app other than mostly everything is in Russian, which is good if you can read Russian. I wish there was a way to have it primarily in written English "the world's universal language" and have options to select other languages by your country of origin as secondary. This is just my opinion. **to developers > thank you for your reply in explaining how to convert pages to English. I had to select New Brunswick as that is my province kind regards 😊👍

Use it primarily for video searches. Comes in useful as long you don't mind hearing both the English(original) and Russian (translation) In my opinion it has a better understanding of Russian language than Google 🙂

First I have to say that I love Yandex. I use it everywhere. I think the search results are even better than Google. But I think there is just one problem. About every page in Yandex is in Russion. I need to translate it. Please translate all pages. Except those problems, I love Yandex. And lastly, I loved your new logo. Thank you for all of your efforts... Best regards

If only the it was totally in English or in another language of our choice! Especially the Virtual Assistant (Alice - your Russian version of Siri)! I love Yandex products and really think that if they put their apps/softwares in different languages, they could really dethrone Google very quickly! I honestly don't know why they haven't done so yet! They should really expand to the rest of the world instead of staying in their corner!

the app is so cool but am having a problem of translation how can i fully get English??? most of the words are in russian and am a foriegner it would be more much better if they offer us settings of the language of our own choice

Very intuitive. Love being able to simply tap on email, yandex disk, zen...etc. Only issue is cannot figure out how to load bookmarks from other browsers or get English on lenovo x230t laptop. Browser homepage is in russion but since I aim to improve on my russian this is not A really big deal...just the inability to transfer bookmarks from my samsung internet browser. It bugs me!🙄

I had to install this app specifically just to change my password. I wasn't even sure that I'll be able to do it from this app, but I thought I might give it a try! So why is the place to change the password so hidden? What's the point of that? I had to look for a very long time for it! Also, why is this app full of Russian!!!!?? Do you think that everyone speaks your language? Or do we have to learn it to be able to use Yandex?

Great alternative to Google but I wish you 1) have a full English translation 2) disable auto filtration on the search engine. I used to enjoy this app before you guys automatically filtered everything to the family settings

Interesting app, but the main reason I downloaded was to leave review/feedback, as I was looking for a management app for domain :) It would be awesome if you had a yandex.connect app!

I enjoy the rapidness of the app as well as the rapidness in which it provide results to my searches as compare to google. But it is 60% in Rusian language and 40% in english etc . I don't understand Rusian language and i find this app cool , but i can't get to the full of it because of language barria . I sujest that problem should be fixed.

This app is amazing first you must get used to it. This app is very unique. Most people are use to Google. I am more of a Yahoo, MSN, AOL type of guy. I like it don't matter if it isn't American. I gave 5 stars. [ For all English speakers and readers go to the search engine and type English in Yandex. When it goes there click the English and click the check and press save. Now it is in English. Update information]

Your application is very nice than Google but it has a major problem - The language is not in english or hindi etc. So I have given you 4 stars. If you can solve this issue that would be a great help. The language shown in search results is very difficult to understand. Thankyou...

That would be amazing if you added the "extensions" section here as well. I already contacted with you and sent an email about that before but you should consider it too. Otherwise amazing app and interface 🤠✌

1. It's strange that there is no support for the English. You are so cool and international, Yandex. 2. It is strange that there is no dark theme. Thus, I will be blind if I read Zen before bed. So... So far, only 3 stars. Only 3 stars.

The app interface still displays in Russian only, but there is one feature of it that I found is very useful and the only one that displays in English. The feature is "Caller ID" which can detect and notify (in English) about any call with ads from almost any organization and it even can detect a call from scams too. I was going to reinstall OS on my phone just to get rid of this app (cause it was made unremoveable), but after I experienced the mentioned feature of the app I decided to keep it.

This app is the bomb. I can do things I've never dreamt of doing with Google, and its just awesome overall! Thank you SO much for creating the Yandex system! I've completely abandoned Google, and have turned to Yandex in all entirety. Yes!!! Edit: Im so glad that I made this decision, or else I wouldn't be typing this review on Y-board! (Yandex Keyboard).

So useless, works properly only on the first launch amd then Alice disappears together with the rest of the functions, leaving only yandex search. To keep an app only as a search engine is not worth it.

Excellent application, it combines search engine and interesting news in the same application. A lot of good articles in one single location, this is better than Google news, well done Yandex.

Once again Yandex proves itself superior to Silicone Valley. Fantastic! I love browser controls at the bottom. Also extensive tools and features, plus desktop version. Now if you could do search engine with sort by dates, chronological order, and other things, plus a video platform , you could give Silicone Valley a run. Without the CENSORSHIP, too! Thanks.

Such a great app with all the great features like zen and games are even available to play, but its in russian which disappointed me and not only me, a lot of users wont understand russian except people in russia and the app should be fully english because english is the language that is spoken worldwide.

One of all better than Google or Chrome, in the notification bar you just have to click the bar which says Yandex and, Boom, you are in the app. Also under it it shows r he weather, with the emoji, you could get the Browser one (not this one) but overall, great app, if you want to replace Google and install. The only thing is that when you tap the egg, Alica shoots in, and she only understands Russian.

I love the app, would make it my default & get rid of Google, unfortunately it's not in English & Alice talks back in Russian. I understand that may be my failing, but having Yandex in English would be a winner for Yandex the company because most English speakers can't speak other languages

I had an issue with app language. The day after my feedback here, Yandex contacted and requested some detail. A week after I provided, it was fixed. Not only good product but also responsive and fast customer service. Hope the competitors will follow.

App is good, but last update wasn't good - now app takes language from android system and there are no option to change it. Please can u make language option instead of setting from default from system.

the best browser hands down. I feel very secure using it. I know privacy is hard to control nowadays but with this browser I feel safe and comfortable using. I can say great things about this app but I suggest just try it and you will love it. PLEASE MAKE THIS ORIGINAL YANDEX ENGLISH COMPATIBLE.. YANDEX BETA IS IN ENGLISH AND I LOVE IT!! I REFUSE TO USE OTHER BROWSERS...!!! FYI You guys are the best, only developer to respond to feedbacks!! Those who don't use this browser are missing out!!!

The app is overloaded with ads. Yandex has become more commercial company rather than tech giant. Reader mode is long forgotten in favour of ads. Search results are all about ads, but not about precise words search. And this trend goes further with this brand

Ugh & eew how Fugly! The extreme bright/light theme doesn't help! The settings sidebar looks correct & pleasing. I understand the need to compete w/ Google, but damn this wrong way 2 go about it! Google has the worst behind 🍏 GUI standards. 🤔 Lemme c if I got an old version backed up somewhere....

It's all in Russian! Even Alice. I'd loved to use it. Used browser since it became english friendly. Beta and all. It's a lot of work I guess, but an international version would be popular, I think .

Alice seems to be good alternative to alexa, Cortana, and hey google. UI is very attractive. when the app is available outside Russia, it will be much appreciated if team provode option to show search results English by default when you get permission to acess location from user. Please provide option for English search results so that we can world can enjoy it.

bloatware. didn't ask for it to be installed onto my phone, but the manufacturer decided otherwise. voice assistant probably spies on you, as so the other ones on the market. always listening and sending voice data to their service's servers. But, it is run by a Russian company and we all know how bad things are in Russia regarding laws and personal freedom, etc. So, no, thanks

A lot of room for improvement. Most of it is in Russian, which is great if you know Russian! Not so much if you don't. Installed the app to try to run chrome extensions however seems like that was disabled. Also tried to request desktop website but the option isn't where yandex support webpage points to. All in all, might be the future but for now there is a lot to improve so will uninstall.
