Was a great app for a long time and I loved it, not anymore. Now it's a buggy battery hog that keeps deleting my preferences. For this frustration, I will be a non renewal this year.

This was my favorite app. Now it provides almost no data for currents. After troubleshooting with videos that it's not a problem with my device, support did not further replied. It's a pity. I'm not sure what's worse, the lack of investigation by support, or the ignorance of this comment. This is not about my profile. I've used this app for 7 yrs. It has simply stopped providing rich data for currents, at all. Perhaps there are still some moving dots in the middle of the Pacific..

within minutes of using the app i bought the pro version... as a paddle boarder i use it for all go no go decisions .. seeing the tide right there with the weather wind and gusts makes it invaluable ...

needs far too much info to simply get to a forcast/current weather screen. created a "spot" but decided i wanted to change the name and couldn't find a way to do so. couldn't find a way to delete it either. app wasn't what i was looking for. great for displaying winds though.

Windy.app is ok if you are online. It is completely useless when offline even though I have downloaded the offline map. The tutorial is a joke with a zoom session with multiple users. Who in hell came up with the idea that this is a tutorial?! Why not just spend some time and write a proper users guide! I like the advanced view where one can see with direction while at anchor or mooring. This app has lots of potential but appears that it has reached the doldrums.

When I try to set the app up I get to 'select your activity'. I select 'hiking' and can't get any further. App just hangs.

It's really handy for hourly wind for farming. As of October 2026 lite mode is still broken for 2 years, not showing rain and snow chart.

Use AI to quickly improve your app options if you don't have the programmers. 1st: Add a better easier notification option, its hard to find. only found in one screen of a particular location. 2nd: Add a Turbine option to your profile types. Wind turbine users need to know about storms coming to apply the manual brake before it gets above high speed or it will free spin and damage the turbine if you apply the brake. Updates kill the notifications finally got an update for a known storm coming.

with 6 mph winds, the app shows 20 to 25 mph winds. with fish not biting anything at all, app says 85 to 90% activity. it's all laid out nice, but the info is rarely accurate. and the biggest thing is, they really want money for this. good luck.... and then there's a question, did the ads get in the way of the app? no but the app sure got in the way of my fishing

Some great features and my go to app for wind. They also listened to some feature requests, which was great. However, I still find elements buggy and the widgets on android have never refreshed a expected... you always have to open the app to get up to date data. However, it is still my go to app

simply waste do not install this app

setting up the app is terrible. i don't want 6 popups asking for my money after answering 20 questions about why I need a different weather app and how I will use the app. I dont want to spend 10 minutes waiting for it to "customize my experience" - customization is for ME to CHANGE BASED ON MY PREFERENCES not what you can infer based on a damn survey that you force before you can get into the app.

Got hung up trying to decide what type of activities I wanted to do. All I wanted to do is check the weather. Uninstalled.

DO NOT UPGRADE IF YOU HAVE THE OLD ONE! They really ruined the entire experience that made them unique. It's less than useless for local info now. Everything is 10 menus deep. When you find what you might need you need to pay $30 to get the data from the fishing or drone "enhancement" to see pressure isos that were a overlay of the very concise convolutional map that made them different. As an aero engineer and pilot, I'm nauseous to have lost such an important tool. I'm going to try to revert.

Don't waste my time with a lengthy questionnaire before revealing that the app requires payment. This feels like a deliberate attempt to create a sense of commitment before asking users to pay. Be upfront about the cost and put the payment requirement at the beginning of registration, so users can make an informed decision before investing their time.

this is the best app to understand wind out on the water. I use it all the time to plan my boating.

You can barely even start to use the app with the constant upsell and subscription demands. I don't want an account I just want to check the weather, completely pointless.

pretty lousy app. I paid my annual for subscription for live data during a hurricane. weather stations, wind stations haven't been updated for 45 minutes. so much for live data.

It should offer different scoring options for various fishing techniques—such as shore-based casting, open-sea boat fishing, etc.

Many tabs/windows to go through, and only then do they say it requires a subscription.

Hands done the most useful app for cycling, running, outdoor activities and more. This helps me plan rides to avoid beating myself up into the wind. I also use this app each morning on shift to inform my fire crews of wind direction, gusts, precipitation, and UV index so they can effectively fight fires or be prepared for weather while on scene.

wind forecast is often wrong and now it only lists wind every 3 hours. pretty useless.

Not good, only one high resolution model available for my area. Graphics are mediocre, not worth the money. This is not Windy, the name is misleading. There are much better, professional weather apps including the real Windy. This one is useless.

Great app and customer support. It has all the weather data you can ask for.

I have enjoyed using the free version of this app and decided to purchase the lifetime. I use it all the time for weather conditions at the Gulf and bay areas of the Emerald Coast.

Almost perfect. Lots of updates get pushed but usually this means bugs get introduced. For example currently there's a location on my home screen in Chinese that I didn't add and I can't remove. I would also like to see the option to display swell direction in degrees (like the option for wind) and also the actual tidal height as a number.

I'm taking 2 stars away from my previous review. The map showing when the app opens is from Gibraltar, it used to be from my area (I'm in Canada) and apparently I need to accept sharing my precise location for it to change, which in turn would be shared with "3rd parties" Not fair for a paid app, (I'm pro) Is that GDPR Compliant???

Worth every penny, support is efficient, all the data is there, presented in any way you want it, from sports-oriented views to totally custom views.

Terrible app full of dark patterns

I can't find anything useful. I can hear a thunderstorm outside but this app cannot detect it. I can't believe I paid full price.

Don't know what's happened but apparently gets my location wrong and on opening the app gives me the forecast off Liberia in Chinese. please fix. After uninstall reinstall Liberia has gone but location is still 5 miles wrong.

I hate it when an app makes me answer all sorts of questions only to discover at the end that it's to get a maximum 7 day free trial. I don't expect to get access to all of this data for free, but when the word "trial" is not mentioned anywhere in the app description, it might be reasonable to anticipate that some data will be available free, as in other weather apps, and all data in the paid version. Please make the description clear on this.

I have been using this app for years. A few hiccups, but overall a well-designed app that gives the most info in a single glance. NEW ISSUE: i cannot put my favorite at the top of the main screen. i turn off the one i don't want, turn on the one i do want, and the one i don't want pops to the top again.

perfect app for weather, i use it allot for fishing and accuracy is on point

setup was a pain, gps positioning was completely wrong. immediately began nagging to purchase premium before setup was even complete. needless to say, I uninstalled it and rate it as low as possible.

Need to update the map. Gulf of America is still labeled wrong.

Pretty accurate with direction and height of waves. Wind is the toughest thing to forecast.
