The regular menu does not appear. Breakfast, drinks and all else but no food off the regular menu on the screen. This is the second week of this nonsense now. Get it fixed please

Very easy to use however it would be good if the app gave an option to order the all day brunch without beans it is a pain having to wait in a long queue to order at the bar.

App. is very glitchy - every day it goes wrong. It's totally messed up a.t.m. - not working properly at all.

It's ok, but it goes to drinks first, rather than food, so you order your drink, then find(!! NOT children's, NOT breakfast!!) food order that, then you have to add your drink with it!!! So you have to delete the original drink!!!! Annoying to use! My mates beat me, when they went to the bar!!!!

App decided to log me out whilst I was ordering, had no confirmation of the order, so I ordered again, only to find out I had paid for the same thing twice, and the previous order had gone through, with no order reference or number being told to me. Very disappointed with this.

WiFi signal at Montagu Pyke diabolical. Logged onto WF at table 5. No signal. Tried 4 times. You missed out on revenue. Relying on WF in 2026 makes no business sense. Must do better.

Ale finder could not be accessed easily

Location check failed – lost £10.85 App usually prompts to confirm location on launch. Today, with location permissions enabled, it failed to trigger its check and silently defaulted to a pub I visited days ago in Southport rather than where I sat in Waterloo. Order went to the wrong venue, leaving me £10.85 out of pocket with no meal. Removing PayPal also makes checkout unnecessarily clunky. Needs reliable location checks and better payment options.

the place was nice and clean, the food not so nice, wouldn't go again very disappointed.

Last 2 times trying to order the children's menu has not been on the app. Before this it was working fine. Annoying at busy times as I don't want to leave my kid alone and go to the bar to order.

Decent but buggy after the latest update. Hand-off to browser for payment is clunky, with several successful payments not recognised by the app. Probably worth a walk to the bar. Editing this down another star as less and less payment methods are available.

Says no Internet whilst I'm browsing Internet! Want to view GFO menu. I get that for some places that change menu, it's harder to issue Gluten Free and allergen information but why can't I just view a GFO menu for Wetherspoons. The menu is the same. You can add a clause ref cross contamination. I've read online reviews there are GF options but can't get confirmation. I'm taking an elderly blind person out for lunch. I need to know before I sit her down. Please improve this app.

Love the pubs, love the app, but I don't understand why I cannot pay with either Natwest or Amex cards when using Google Pay. Developers please fix this.

was good until recently. app menu no longer fits on my screen (s26 ultra) properly and the loss of PayPal for order payment is a big show stopper for me. I don't want to connect my bank account or add card details to multiple locations so PayPal was great. the loss of this will probably mean I avoid the app and will probably uninstall. Why take a backwards step???

was 5 star, now 1 star. can't pay with Google pay, always fails and PayPal has been removed so can't use that as an alternative. back to queuing at the bar ☹️ might not bother.

The Wetherspoon app used to be great, but it no longer works with version 6.6.1. I just see the logo then it crashes. I have had to resort to sideloading the previous app version 6.5.0 and it works great. Though I've had to ensure I've turned off auto-update or I'll end up with the broken version again. Please fix your app or roll back to the old version! Update: Wetherspoon has now forced broken 6.6.1~6.9 updates, rendering the previous version that actually worked non-functional. Disgraceful.

Since i wrote below, you have dropped Paypal as a payment option. now paying is a REAL PAIN, as I pay by card. So not so brilliant use of technology. Wetherspoons pubs are frustrating for their bar service. This app helps avoid long unorderly queues. *****

kept showing me to choose items for the branch I was in, only to say they were unavailable when checking out. if it knows they are unavailable, why still show them and allow them to be added to the basket!?

entered the pub and table number, the app made me do this 3 times then when I ordered the pub had changed to the one at the bottom of the list so it definitely wasn't me pressing the wrong button, they refused to give me a refund on my drinks because they had already been prepared, but they took ages to answer the phone. Be very careful when using this app! apparently there was supposed to be QR codes on the tables but these were missing where I was sitting

it is a great app. I used it plenty and recommended it to my fellow spoons enthusiasts. I have deleted it now though as they have stopped using PayPal. I know that many of my friends have done the same. Shame really.

Shockingly Bad - Waited 35 minutes for drinks. In the end, had to go to the bar & sort out.

Faster than standing in a queue !! Well... My original review was correct - WHEN THE APP WORKED. Now it couldn't find my nearest pub, remembered someone else's food, and despite information on PayPal in the FAQ section verifying this as a payment..... It has been removed. Very sloppy programming

usually very good, but somehow I was charged for another pub even though I had ordered at the same pub 4 other times in the same night. watch out for a location change for the pubs to rip you off.

Version, 6.8.0 didn't work... Select a pub, check the cask ales list then select a different pub...& holds the ales from the last pub? The only way to update the correct ale selection for the next pub... close the app and "force stop" it in the device settings. ***Edit: Updated on 25/08/26 to v6.9.1 and the cask ale lists works again. Change pub option top right will give correct ale list for new pub. Not checked ordering but that always worked for me to be fair on this & prev phone.

PayPal... not sure why I can't sign into my account to use PayPal sign in is only giving me an option to sign in to Apple & Google which neither I want to use .. this app has been working fine not sure why or what's changed but can you tell me how I can sign in to my account that I've had set up for years using PayPal as an option to pay. please let me know as this is frustrating as I have to use my bank card each time which I feel isn't safe to do ... tks also I'm going get rid of the app......

latest update doesn't work properly.

good app, easy to navigate but missing one important feature.. group orders. so instead of handing my phone to other people or taking orders it would be easier and more convenient to get the group to order themselves so one person can pay. food delivery apps have been doing it for some time now.

Good app works as intended. The food quality and quantity is definitely on the slide though. The food is basically frozen and pretty piss poor. It's getting to point it's not worth the amount.

still waiting for the update that stops menus being repeated when you change from one pub to another. Real ales in one pub are duplicated when you change pub and you have to exit the app and start again to see the next pub.

I updated this app today now it won't even register the table number in the pub I'm actually in at the time. I've taken it off my phone and put it back again. This problem still persists. How long will this last?

used to be ok , after spending lots of money early door , and staff being relatively ok they turn on you and look after the afternoon drunks , they believe malicious rumours, even when the police are involved with your innocence, tried to bar me but walked out without giving them the satisfaction, scum total scum , lorran the manager just looks after her wage ,and the staff are scared to stand up to "it" full of afternoon drunks

Latest updates remove sign in using email address -> now forced to sign in using google account or similar. Paypal payment option has also been removed. Unless signed in you cannot store a credit card number. Wonder why someone thought these changes were required. A poor decision to make changes to things which were not broken.

The thing "notices that I had moved pubs" in the middle of placing an order and just stops working. Better to just use the web version.

took 10 seconds for each word I typed to actually get registered and when I finally got through to the menu nothing showed up. every page except the one I needed showed up fine. figured I'd search key words like burger and pizza to see if it was a visual glitch but it physically couldn't find anything. How does an ordering app lose its own menu?

I would give five stars but the app is broken on the Poco X5 pro When I load the app I got error report and it goes back to my home screen asking me to send a report uninstall then reinstall and it works I get my order then when I go to order again after a few minutes the same thing happens again error report after error report please give it a fix we need a new update.

The App no longer works on my device. Not too fussed as it seems the latest and greatest version is no better (possibly worse) than previous versions. I can't understand why Wetherspoon waste so much effort developing an App when they just need to improve their on site Customer Experience.

Decent app. Would help a lot if there was a vegetarian/vegan/dietary section rather than having to scroll through every page of the menu to see what's suitable for vegetarians

The app has got really unreliable lately. Sunday it wouldn't accept ANY table number at ANY pub. Today, no food is listed at all and it finds nothing when I search for it, so unable to order. The app is now completely useless. it allows me to select pub and table, to add food and drink to basket, but once I get to basket where checkout option should be there is a message saying ordering via the app is unavailable and I should order at the bar. What happens when I travel alone and pub is busy?

Was five stars but then they removed a lot of payment options from the app.

Absolute waste of time, avoid. just go to the bar it's much quicker. Ordered a pint of $umo in Bex Hill spoons and it took 14 minutes to arrive. meanwhile my mate who went to the bar for the same drink after mine arrived for his in 2 minutes. Absolute joke.

I have noticed recently that even though I have ordered a round of drinks in one location, when I have placed my next order, the location settings put you in a different pub. The only way to request a refund is to call the pub that the drinks were ordered to. I can only assume that it's a bug in the app. It has certainly put me off using it even though it should be more convenient, less hassle and prevent you from losing a table if you are a single person ordering.

The option to pay by PayPal has disappeared from the app. Yes, I've cleared the cache. Yes, I've deleted all the data. Yes, I've reinstalled it from scratch.

Mostly pretty solid and simple. Does what it says on the tin. One star off for removing the PayPal option without any kind of warning or explanation. Simply poor customer service. But if you don't need that, then the app is well worth having and seems to be pretty reliable.

witherspoon have it right for customer satisfaction. ordering at the table on the app, or at the counter for people who don't use apps. can get an extra coffee etc at no extra cost, and free iced water on the counter, and of course the breakfast and meals at very good prices.

I was trying to order food for a homeless person and was not in the pub. app wouldn't work, kept giving me errors and said I hadn't been charged. looked at bank account later...I had been charged.

Reports wrong real ale list eg: I view what ales are on in The Roebuck. I then use the "Change" button to look at the real ale selection in The Elms and it's the same ales list as The Roebuck. If I then use the "change" button to The Last Post the app reports exactly the same Ale list as the previous two pubs - even though the actual ales on offer are different in each pub. Stopping the app means it works just once then reports that all pubs have the same ales. 4 mates have the same issue.

I met up with a group of friends for breakfast, and I downloaded the app beforehand as I was told It would be easier to order and pay, so I did, and it was it also gave me a discount on my bill thank you wetherspoons

The app does not work unless WiFi scanning is enabled. This is totally unacceptable, especially as I had selected the pub I was in & table number, but couldn't order because the app pops up turn on WiFi scanning all the time. App will be uninstalled....your loss Wearherspoons

Good except that the beers are not up to date I receive a notification of new beer available but it isn't showing on the app to order. Also different beers available at the bar than on the app. Addition: food marked as unavailable when it was available and beers at tge bar not listed in the app.

Works very well and very useful if in a busy pub alone. Can order from the table you've bagged, so no worry about seat being taken while ordering at the bar. Main thing I dont like is you can only sign in using a Google account, it wont allow me to create an account and sign in using my own email address, so I just order as a guest. Google knows too much about me already!

Seems to be an issue since the last update. Ale lists are not right and when changing venues they do not update correctly. Ale finder seems OK but the problem is when you try to view the full ale list at a particular venue. Please fix 🙂

When you first select a pub and check out the current real ales available, all is fine, but if you then change to a different pub, the ales are identical to the previous pub. I'm not sure if this applies for food availability too, but it could easily lead to someone ordering and paying for something which isn't available in that particular pub. This needs to be fixed as it's been like this for several weeks now.

Used the app to order and a friend went to the bar to order the same for himself. Friends order came twenty minutes before mine. Pointless app. UPDATE: as long as you are prepared to wait or order plenty in advance, then this app is useful FURTHER UPDATE: Now that app using is mandatory, you'd expect better service.....but no. Over the last few visits, I have wrong orders delivered and missed orders, I've had to chase. Extremely poor service from this bar with or without the app.

Not a customer friendly App. Instead of greying items out when they are gone, it allows you to proceed to payment, then kicks you out. I suppose you get what you pay for. This app needs serious investment to actually make it work. Slow, clunky, makes queueing at the bar almost attractive

It really isn't on that the app works from the phone but NOT from a tablet. Get that sorted, You need a 'please clean off this table' option on the app (along with a 'you must have forgotten that you didn't finish, please come back and finish' option). And a 'that pint has excessive froth, top it up properly' option. The ability to complain management has insufficient staff on is needed too. Shouldn't need to ask for a table to be cleared and find food arrives FIRST.

Would give zero if possible. Even if you confirm which pub you are in, it sometimes then puts your order in a different pub! Useless & dishonest as they refuse to accept it could be at fault & don't give refunds. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

I use Wetherspoons quite often and am a wheelchair user, so I thought I'd give this app a try to make it easier to order. it works really well. I've not had a problem using it, and my food/drinks always comes quicker than if I ordered them at the bar. Once you've set up a payment method, it connects that every time automatically, so it's very easy. The first time I used it, it took me a while to figure everything out and place my order, but the more I've used it the easier it has become.

have used loads in the past very easily... recently it's stable and just closes. it's just as easy to scan the qr code on the front of the menu and order that way online.

using this app makes me lazy rather than ordering at the bar
