Download Ultimate Guitar: Chords & Tabs V7.3.36 APK From Android App Store Pro New

Update 11/05/2026 Downloaded the "latest and greatest" of this developer's product, only to find no change to the forced "practice mode" forever. Here's a hint. FU Update 09/08/2026. Well like most apps the programmers just cannot, under any circumstance leave well enough alone. Now you open the app and is forever in "practice mode" which doesn’t accurately record the chord I am playing nor does it keep time, making the app nearly useless. How do you get out of this stupid "practice mode"?

So far so good!!!

love the new update with the song breakdown edit: why did this get removed?!?

its free ubless u want primeum and its so good!im learing all my fave songs now! thank you and pls make more dreams come true!!!!!

excellent thanks much 👍

como van a cobrar por TRANSPONER q rugido d tripa dios

Like a homeless person begging for money, i cant even purchase online yet. damn you for paywalling my passion. i though my sweet cookies were enough, apperantly not greedy corpo also i cant blame you to be honest every app requires money either way, oh and those free songs wasn't my *passion*

trojan horse app just to view a chord shape

hard to tell how the app is. they keep telling you to look at the tabs in the app, then put you thru the ringer when questions, only to tell you that you have to pay to view things in the app. I'm supposed to assume their app works right. And on to of that, it tells you to open a song in the app from a browser, and then just opens the app with nothing there. I tried Songsterr and it works much better. Same music, cost a little more, but its' just a better app.

your company's brilliant, I am 76 thanks.

very poor to be honest

overpriced

BUYER BEWARE! This app is horrible. The company behind it is even worse. No customer service at all. Do not download it and do not give them any money.

my absolute favorite guitar accomplishment site

10.31.26 UG refunded $15. and kept $9.99. which was ok for a $2. a month plan. however paid rights were shut down last week and I'm still waiting for an answer to why? That would make the plan $10.month instead of $2.

really amazing app!

massively disappointing. trial period locks you in with no obvious way to cancel. the song I wanted to play from the Google search isn't even in the library after all of that.

I hate startup wizards

u Shud put popular songs to be seen easily

perfect 👍👍👍👍

not good enough 😕

Great to use but still some features are available only after subscription

10/10 would recommend

if you don't pay you don't get much

I'LL BE HONEST, I NEVER CARED FOR THIS APPLICATION, I USED TO USE e-Chords MYSELF, BUT THAT ONE CHANGED, & IT SUX NOW!! I GAVE "ULTIMATE GUITAR" A TRY, & IT'S ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS!! IT HAS A LOT OF GREAT TOOLS/X-TRAS AS WELL LIKE GUITAR TUNERS, METRONOMES, ALSO IF A PARTICULAR CHORD IS TOO HARD THERE ARE DIFFERENT WAYS TO PLAY THEM, & IT SHOWS ALL THE FINGER PLACEMENTS!! IT HAS DIFFICULTY LEVELS FOR EACH SONG DEPENDING ON HOW ADVANCED YOU ARE!! THANX¡ 🇦🇲🤙🏼

desintalada antes de usar

worst app ever and they are scamers

I remember when I could just search guitar tabs on Google and i would use this website to learn songs for free. NOT ANY MORE. now im picking the hobby back up and forgot some of what I used to know, but youre all a bunch of greedy joos now and want to charge money and ask me a million freaking questions when I just want to unwind and play a little guitar. i hate every single one of you and i mean that from the bottom of my heart. please remove yourselves from existence, you parasites. 8=======D

Demands money right out of the gate before you are able to see or search anything.

literally THE app I use. Worth the yearly just for adless. and I dont even use the classes and all the benefit of the price.

uninstalled.. can't get on anything unless you subscribe.. shame really, but now found a better one

really amazing app (would recommend) although not having premium makes it quite annoying sometimes

Great app, I love it so far 👌

great for learning songs

decent tabs if you buy premium, crashes sometimes

Generally works like most other guitar tab and notation apps but on Android it CANNOT adjust chord diagrams for different tunings. It will let you set tunings but it will not change the chord diagrams from standard tuning in the songs you add to playlists, nor will it update the chord tab views.

App itself is great but every single time you boot it now it asks you stupid survey questions that every app seems to do now to "build your custom plan". Stop. I just want tabs

man, they ask for money in this one too? nothing's free in this world anymore. gotta go look for alternatives. subscription apps are meh for a poor guy like me. bye.

i told the app i have no idea what im doing with a guitar and it responded by telling down up down up what does that mean the courses were empty so there is literally no way to learn how to play on this app if you dont already know what down up down up means also very predatory subscribtion practices I wouldnt touch this app unless you want to get angry and potentially lose upwards of 40 bucks

I've been with these folks for years. Lovely repository of transcriptions, music from all directions.

why do I have to pay

i literally just wanted to use the website to look at a chord progression on the website and got railroaded into downloading an app that demanded a subscription for something i can easily find elsewhere for free myself.

excellent

I used to pay for the app I used it for church I am a praise and worship leader. once I retired I can't afford it. my issue is everything I paid for now has changed. I used the simplify the chords to fit me. now I can't access what I paid for. it upsets me very much. yes there is a free version but it's useless unless you can simply the chords I'm a c . my music I paid for has now went back to what the app posted. this breaks my heart. all my tabs I paid to use isn't any good to me now.

wow grape

not paying for a subscription

🤍

some good tabs, not always right but more often than not you can find what you're looking for, used to be better but now every time you open the app you get bombarded with ads for premium, some that you can't skip until you answer questions about how the app can be "optimised" for your use (if you pay for premium)

Mostly well done. Sometimes a bit buggy and always another Feature behind yet another paywall.

The Sept. 2026 update removed the horizontal highway of moving block chords is missing (at least on my phone) that was my favorite feature :(

Infinite tabs for a very reasonable price.

Crashes when clicking on My account logo.

predatory bait and switch. hate this app and website

Get your credit card out just to use this app "free" online for a week.

really good app

installed the app, didn't get a chance to see what is offered, got a subscription pop-up for 39,99€ per year that I declined, then immediately an offer of 24,99€ per year if I take it right there and then. clicked it, paid for it and entered the app for the first time. went to the first thing that was put into my vision: "beginner": another paywall... then "acoustic": same paywall.. so what did I pay the yearly subscription for? cancelled and uninstalled!

Reinstall > still terrible > uninstall > back to using the website... Shame

сайт я так понимаю по рофлу создали? почему меня должно перекидывать сюда , почему я не могу просто сайт использовать?

I love this app but unfortunately some of the videos I upload .I cannot even see. After the guidance of the the help center they couldn't help me further with this issue. I see a lot of other people having this issue.

not beginner friendly. as much as it says it is, it isn't. they don't allow you to simplify the chord diagrams unless you wanna pay $50 a month, they don't let you LEARN YOUR CHORDS without a subscription, nor do they explain what certain things mean on chord diagrams without a subscription. EVERYTHING NEEDS A SUBSCRIPTION.

such a great app easy to use and learn more I had zero experience about guiter but the app they made such a wonderful thank you team for contribution on it.

there should be a way to add chords to the tabs

add is good but it charges for some small features if you have money this aap is good

useless app, usefull in browser

Heck yeah man your way above my level!!!!

useless without premium

Google Play and Ultimate Guitar are two of the most pitiful companies when it comes to customer service. I purchased the App through Google Play and found the functionality lacking. When I tried to get a refund all I got was a run around and high blood pressure. Google Play says a refund is against their policy that I need to contact the developer. Ultimate Guitar says I paid through Google Play so I need to go through them. The bottom line is I'm out $39.99 and neither of them care.

I love this app, but had a subscription not ending until May 2027 and was just charged another year's subscription fee. when I went to cancel it, it showed that it would only not be renewed after October 23, 2027. does anyone know how to get this reversed?

are you seriously forcing users to pay for non pro tabs? F U, done with you greedy fkers

kallista harhaanjohtavaa köntsää

Vendor lock-in and full of dark patterns to suck money out of customers. DO NOT sign up for free trials, the app sucks and they will lock you in to get the cash anyways!

Signs you up for a subscription service and charges you $40 when it's over without really notifying you. When I tried to get a refund it sent me to a different website.... I didn't use this app at all because I downloaded for a song it didn't have. When I looked up this song it suggested I download this app. Bad idea and super lame -$40. should have read the terms and conditions better.

Free... For a fee of 3 € a month or 9 yearly Thanks man, just say you are a paid service

I need to request for refund transaction because it's automatically deduct to my e wallet account but I didn't subscribe it

I have a lifetime subscription, but now every time I open the app it makes me jump through hoops trying to upsell me on monthly subscriptions. I'm so sick of this.

LITERALLY NEED TO PAY. MAKE IT FREE

Spot on

paywall

it's actually unusable without paying for it

love iit

Awful app. Do not listen to dev responses, they did not fix it in new versions. Mute functionality display is inverted if what normal logic would be. This is a rhythm app WITHOUT RHYTHM. Absolute waste of space if an app. No I'm not going to contact you to spoon feed you the problem, debug your own app. The only difference between apps like this and regular tabs online is that this will play the song so you can hear it. If it won't do that, it is useless.

scammy company

i wanted to try a free trial and somehow got charged for it I'm very unhappy.

The product is good. However, they constantly bombard you with subscription pop-ups

I've used this for tabs for around 2 years. It's mostly fine but there have been some issues with sticky scrolling etc. But, by far the most frustrating thing is shots. It randomly allows some to upload then displays an 'error 2' for others. It results in lots of wasted time and I wouldn't be surprised if users turn elsewhere to upload videos.

thank you so much

the best free guitar app that I have used for chords specifically the could do better on tabs but if you want chords perfect and I usually also use it for piano if I want to. Edit:I love that people can tab and put chords to songs and you can do it yourself.Another thing about this app is that you can find more than one version for beginners or if you are OK then you can find a harder version for the same song! I love guitar so much always will. play on

I gave these guys a low score before when the password/account reset/re-activation didnt work, but in fairness to them, they got it sorted. Many thanks to Aydar at UG (who is not, in fact, an AI)

Why can't I see both the fretboard and the notes at the same time? There is still available space, but I am unable to scroll to view the notes because they are obscured by the fretboard when in landscape mode. Please fix this application. Thank you.

I am new here, please don't take me to the wrong party

Searched for Kitty in a Basket but this app calls it Kitty in a "Casket" but didn't have any chords or lyrics for either. Useless!

giving you tabs is about the last thing this app seems concerned with doing. instead every time you open this barely disguised ad you have to fight your way through pages and pages of unskippable ads masquerading as "help." and this is with premium. and every time I open it this process gets longer and more convicted. absolutely vile.

very nice app

terrible program misleading title. the program is chords...if there are tabs they must be very rare... I asked for a refund and was refused....what a service to this community

I can't understand the desire from app companies to hire 100k/year devs to just add more flashy advertisements in-between every BUTTON PRESS. like why can't one product be just the product its supposed to be. not some enshittified ad spamming, gimmick doing garbage. would recommend ANY other website

you need to pay for about.. well everything.

used to be 5 star. oh how the mighty have fallen... pay wall garbage now.

Dont know yet

i havent been able to turn off autorenew for a card i dont even have anymore for a subscription that annoys me to no end, i had to turn off the card but every few months they still try to run a payment through it even after working with my bank as ive ran out options in the play store and in the app. i feel to this app how AM of i have no mouth and i must scream feels to humanity, dont give them your money they dont let you take that back easy

awesome app, sometimes the tabs could be simplified, like sometimes you can just go up a string instead of down 5 frets to get to a note (lead guitar tabs for Reptilia by the Strokes is a perfect example of this) but that's the beauty of music. There are lots of ways to create the same note and being able to play along with the tabs makes it easy to learn music. I also love the videos and tutorials since I'm still relatively new to guitar, it makes pacing and learning stress free.

Looks great... If your willing to pay. The app spams you with offers for a membership. Without it not much you can do.

it's soo useful

Look how they massacred my boy. Ultimate Guitar used to be a website where musicians could go to find great tabs created and curated by a community of other musicians and to write and contribute tabs of their own, all completely free. Now it is a den of thieves.

Downloaded, then came the excessively long cookie permissions page, which I refuse to accept in this hideous format. So immediately uninstalled.

Easily the worst app I've ever downloaded. Non stop ads and pop ups. Straight garbage. Deleted immediately.

just use the web page

This app is trash unless you're willing to shell out for a membership. It is just disappointing and disgusting that this website sold out so hard. If you want tabs, go with Songsterr. Their tabs are just as good and they have a bunch of free features that don't require their corpo sell out garbage to be forcefully shoved down your throat. Update: Their "content" they mention below is just them profiting off the tabs made by their users while they spam you with ads for their trash membership.

not only that it's not actually free it also have ads + YouTube will show much better result with tabs the tabs here feel like they are a for specific type of guitar (I have a cool Ibanez and always tuned) so not worth the hype at this point just use guitar tuna

I love the idea but holy **** PAY FOR EVERYTHING BUT THE TABS. That is so annoying. I can find the tabs anywhere else online! so why would I need this app.

I'm sorry, new guitar tuner sucks

I use the free version of the app and for me it's the best free guitar app I've ever used so give it a try.

Since when does music cost money? I wouldn't pay even if it costed me 0,1 € a year, hell no.

What a scam, i paid a yearly fee, and didnt notice that i was paying for 2 subscribsion, have no idea where the second one came.

you can't play half the songs you want without paying. I just want to learn how to play some songs I shouldnt have to pay so much money. I dont recommend

Extremely disappointed! I was charged ₱3,150 after forgetting to cancel my free trial. I immediately canceled and requested a refund within 48 hours, but Google rejected it. Ultimate Guitar support keeps redirecting me to Google without offering a real solution. I'm a student, and this is a huge amount of money for me. I've spent days begging for assistance, only to receive repetitive responses. Absolutely exhausting, frustrating, and unacceptable customer support. Never expected this!

the biggest problem with this app is it makes you go through invasive question to let you use it

My go to app for tab.

absolute s#it

Superb.

love it

Frustrating! I used to use this app religiously in high school but now it's a mess, every little thing is behind a paywall, the tabs are often wildly inaccurate, and it feels like every time I click on anything in the app an ad plays. Garbage honestly.

At 69, I've decided to learn to play the guitar (again). Watching the shorts made me realize that it's not as scary as it looks. Thanks for the kick-in-the pants I needed! Here goes excuses out the window!

Perfect man. sounds great thank you.

it is super good at personalizing the app and can connect to your Spotify and teach you to play songs on your playlist except I can't afford it

been using this app for a while now and I gotta say Im not having much fun in using it because almost everything requires subscription and it's so annoying! I can't even learn my favourite song without buying a subscription.

too much pestering to subscribe even when i have subscribed

It's a scam site. Full of really aggressive sales. I just paid for a subscription and it's showing me 10 different subscription options for simple things that a guitar learning app should provide in the initial subscription. They're just out to take your money.

good for begginer also

I've been using this app for 26 years (we've been through alot). "This app has given me all i could ask for and more," sounds totally cliché. But its true. You can find other posts from me in here. New login info gives me the reason. Pop-up "rate me" ads answered. I'm editing this post to remove sentiments from years gone by which were to share my long term experience with this app which is to say, "And sometimes, less.". My great tolerance made the most of it and it worked very well, Thank you

best one every Musician need this

Very bad app

This app is great for learning songs that people have uploaded

great app

Usually access the site on PC but this app is first class.

Since no one taught me how to play the guitar during my teenage years, I have relied on Ultimate Guitar for free since 2007. Now that I have a stable career and a family, I am glad to pay for a subscription as a gesture of gratitude and share the app with my children to help them learn to play music.

Great song for beginner guitar player

great site

this app sucks if your trying as a beginner they want you to pay for everything tiktok helps me more then this do not download

So far, I'm loving this! I use it for worship. Makes life a lot easier.

Amazing app. A co-worker introduced me to this app and it's really cool. I can find the chords to a lot of my favorite songs. It also has a lot of cool features like transposing, simplifying chords and playbacks.

I wanted a tuner and I can't find it anywhere in their add junked app.... I don't mind what this offers but I needed a tunner first...

The only thing about this app is the repeat measures bar don't work on a lot of song and since the update it seems alot worst most cases unplayable. Better off with guitar pro on the PC instead. and another thing you pay for pro tabs and the bloody top 100 or best tabs are in CHORDS. wth

I don't get how I'm able to look on the website for free but I've got to pay to look at the same things on the app. dosnt make any sense

When canceling free trial, was offered additional time on free trial. Then charged $99 annual subscription anyway. When contacting support, which they make you jump through hoops to do, they refused to help and blamed me for the problem.. Just wow. Will be reaching out to BBB to file report. Doing the right things the right way makes a difference still.

This is a scam. Subscription is nearly impossible to cancel. Even after cancelling, they still billed me. Avoid at all cost, there are many alternatives that won't rip you off.

I dont play a guitar, but I sing. I love this app! There's many songs to choose from, and changing the key to fit my voice is simple. Thanks, Tabs! 😉

unable to register account or login

dmm good

always asks to pay

can't do nothing to much spending if money

I want to listen to songs on Google but I can't, I'm told to download the app, but when I download the app and try to listen to the song, I can't, I have to pay first.

I love this app and have been using ultimate guitar since it was just a website. Official tabs are accurate and I love being able to save tabs to playlists and all the tabs I save I can use offline which is helpful for when you can't remember how to play something away from home or to show to friends. Tuner and metronome in the app. I have pro version from before subscription so I don't have to pay for subscription. Notation and tabs available and the music for other instruments is available to.

Be very careful when buying a subscription. They do not refund.

great app

I was trying to get the free trial. Instead I got a paid app plus a subscription to another product. I tried to get a refund but was told I have to go through Google to get the refund. Google said I have to go through the app developer.

the interface was meh. had to click a million things just to get into the app. the constant pop ups are annoying. no means no. stop adding every time I search for something. 500 words aren't enough to state just got bad of an app experience it was. not sure how anyone manages to make it through even getting into it.

I downloaded the app looking for a tuner. As I was setting up the app it brought me to a subscription page that offered a 1week trial. The offer said 1week trial, after day 5 a cancellation reminder is sent and after day 7 the subscription is charged a month fee. I Hit the trial offer and it immediately charged my account. I went to unsubscribe and it says my subscription ends in one month. No trial was ever given like the offer described and they basically ripped me off.for a product I didn't

they lied and advertise 10 day free trial and bill you after two days how do i there is no adress or way to cancell or send anything to you con asses

I'm sure the app is good, but I can't be bothered to answer a hundred questions to be able to use it.

Its okay at best. Way too expensive for what it is. they are basically charging you an annual fee to access community written tabs... kinda lame. I can only assume that copyright lawyers LOVE this app. If more people would just upload music to various places on the internet this app would be dead. Lawyers have made it really hard to do that without hosts getting it up the tailpipe. 2 stars because the connection with Spotify is nifty.

You need an account. pop-ups everywhere. kept on trying to get me on a subscription?

useless

only gives ukulele chords and not actual guitar chords. can't change it. can't u subscribe easily so might have to delete the whole account to unsubscribe. I did turn off ukulele mode many times. still no guitar chords

Most features are locked behind a pay wall. Disappointing.

no function on the free version ! you have to buy it to be able to play a song !

I would rate it 5 stars but.......there are TONS of adds.

I'm sure there are songs but at this point it's just an upsell app. be prepared to answer 10-50 questions before you can use the app. not just once, but 5-10 times per year per device. but don't worry, they'll reply here that they need the feedback, despite literally every other app on earth figuring out a way to do it without driving you away. good ridance

I want to thank everyone for their reviews. The ad makes this app look like something special, but all you have to do is read the reviews and see all the 1 and 2 star reviews that all mention the same issues. Thanks to all the valuable reviewers who took the time to make it so that a person considering this app can make an informed choice to not go through the same things they went through. I get that any business wants to grow. Then allot of them end up running the whole thing.

Can't do anything unless you buy their monthly subscription, which really sucks if you're trying to learn drums and don't have the money for it

now charging money for services that used to be free. many of which were essentially and seemingly crowd sourced.

UG had always been a great companion when it came to researching guitar chords for a song. It was excellent back in the day, as in the 2000s. However, 15-16 years later, I wanted to give it a try since it kept prompting, so I installed it. But unfortunately I uninstalled within a few minutes as to how commercial it has now become. Might be a very good paid app, but not that awesome for me. Cheers!

the app itself is good, But i accidentally bought a subscription, when i asked for a refund, they refused!

this app has no functions that you can use unless you pay. the one time i paid a few years ago, they wouldnT let me cancel and stole 3 years of payment from me. Worst experience ever.

it's excellent. however, when I first subscribed I mistakenly subscribed for the guitar lessons part which I don't use at all (because the wording was confusing when I subscribed). I only then realised that I still wasn't subscribed for the chords and tabs part. I only use my subscription which is the chords and tabs part which is awesome. I don't use the lessons part at all. Regarding the lessons part, I'm paying for something that I'm not using. otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

expensive

tabs

I don't know if it's just me, but I've been having problems with this app every time i search a song, it doesn't pop up even though I've seen it in the app before. Second, when i open the app, it just shows a black loading screen and I've been waiting for minutes yet my tabs didn't appear. it used to be fine and perfect, but now it's just broken. I've tried to uninstall and install it back, but when i try to log in with my account, it literally doesn't make me. I've tried it with my 2 devices.

why on earth do I NEEED a subscription to use even the basic side of this app. Got to love when the website offers more than installing the useless app!

I cant play any songs I search up without paying for premium

This is app is pure garbage. Even after you pay for pro and still get endless pop up ads to buy more of their garbage. It used to be a great app.

paywalls paywalls and more paywalls

Would be 5 stars but app keeps asking me to upgrade other features Edit: more pop-ups. So annoying... why does this block me behind a wall of "setup" steps every single time I open it?

very nice practice tool!

only wanted tabs, but UG wanted my CC - pay to play - Free on Google 🙄 ... took all credentials only to put the entire app behind a paywall. I feel you got more than I did out of this exchange.

I signed up for Ultimate Guitar believing I would have access to guitar chords and sheet music. Instead, I was charged $53.11 for an annual subscription on September 22nd, even though I had cancelled. What makes this especially frustrating is the difficulty the company creates when trying to find information on cancellation and refunds. The service claims "cancel anytime," yet there is no clear or practical option within the app, website, or emails to request a refund after being charged.

its a great tool when in need

can we just delete this app please. the log in function doesnt wotk and let me guess. its paid for the good functions? I geniunely hate all these tab apps. all of them are just straight up greedy

UG & Developer responded and I'm so glad to report, "They are NOT just another company all about the bottomline". UG & the Developer cared about resolving the issue without playing the blame game. It's completely obvious they care about their customers and I'm so glad to be a part of this connection bc the program is off "OFF THE CHAIN", meaning wonderful and well above its charge. If I could afford it, I'd puchase all they offer. Thanks guys for being found, Ultimately Awesome! Happily, DLo!

Asks way too many questions. I just want a library of tabs like it used to be. I don't want notifications or emails, just music. How hard is that?

It's free to install. But it's NOT free to use! You can't play anything unless you sign up to a subscription.

no deja hacer nada sin tener que pagar

Best app I know of, very comprehensive and intuitive. One stop shop.

not free

very nice 👌

This app is so bad I was compelled to rate it 1. constant popups, and it lists free, but it basically isn't. it's garbage, stay away. as of 9/30/26. God this app is so bad. eff. Edit/addition after review response: GuitarTab is a so much better free app. Go look at successful apps. There was constant popups asking for money. Very limited features. Just make this a paid only app.

what is with the, asking a million questions before you. can use the app. That turned me off and I uninstalled it before using it. It asks questions like how often do you practice, and they have a choice, the highest is 3 hrs a week????!!! how about three hours a day minimum. what is your main instrument???? You can only choose one. either electeic or acoustic guitar, not both. that is nuts! Who is the idiot who came up with these one answer their answer questions? I had ultimate before. bye.

Paying for a yearly subscription, and yet when I try to open the app I am being gaslit to sign up for some sort of inhouse training book course...same thing happened last year and I had unwittingly subscribed to an additional training program that I did not want, thinking that I was just providing feedback to streamline the app. Only noticed when I saw UG made 2x separate payments at and around renewal time. Cancelled immediately but didn't get refunded and no reply from customer service.

Predatory subscription. don't give them your credit card. i'm trying to unsubscribe right now but they made it difficult to cancel your subscription you never wanted.

I Just payed for an app that I cant seem to find a way to print tabs and chords, wasted money.

Why did I loose my Pro access that I've had for years?!
