The app works only when you're at home with Spectrum Wi-Fi. it will not work when you are mobile with a different carrier. additionally, the app does not allow you to find any information about the shows with regard to the chaos year filmed any other background information, your only choices are to watch or not large.

So Spectrum did a system update 2 nights ago and now the app won't allow me to look at the list of what i have recorded. I can still tell the dvr to record a show but I can no longer view the list of what's recorded. Tech support says i have to upgrade to additional services to get the listing. Insanity! Time to switch to another service!

This has got to be the worst TV app!!! I'm not sure where the I.T. department is at, but I can definitely say they are not doing their job. I just recently turned in my cable boxes to save some money and installed the Spectrum TV app on my Samsung TV's. And since I did the app loads so slow it freezes and when they put up the emergency alert you press the okay button and it will not open the channel I was watching, I have to change the channel then go back to the original channel. TRASH!!!

Got the update and now it takes about 5 to 6 minutes just to load the home screen, then another 3 to 4 minutes just to load a channel. Whatever update you guys did made things horrible. I was watching a movie and my battery died. I couldn't get back in to continue the movie for about 9 minutes. On multiple devices it's been the same experience. Between this and the continued diminishing quality of internet and equipment while raising prices, I'm about ready to look for service Anywhere else.

log in to app, makes me sign in every time. it will open my browser to log in, I'll punch in my information, it then sends me back to the app and prompts me to sign in again. I've updated it, uninstalled and reinstalled, turned my device off and back on. this is getting really annoying. I can't see my bill, can't track my device that should have been repaired and returned by now. been this way on multiple devices. no excuse for a communications company to have such a terrible app

Update: Just to watch an old episode, I have one 2 minute and 48 second ad, then you let the theme song play and it goes into another 2 minute and 40 second ad, then right after that ad is another. It is not worth it. The rest of the episode had 6 more ads during the show. Not worth it, at all. You watch more ads than anything. I can understand a 60 second ad but 180 seconds is too much. It makes you just wanna un install and just go watch YouTube or Netflix.

No longer reliable. This happened a few weeks ago, where the TV app will not open, just an error message. I update, uninstall, reinstall. Nothing. I had to contact service to get it to work. A few weeks later, I tried to use the app again, and it errors again. Uninstalled. Reinstalled. I don't want to have to contact support every time I want to watch something on TV.

In the last week or two, the Guide has been "Unavailable". It will try to come up, succeed briefly, then become unresponsive. We get a "We're sorry but the guide isn't available" box, then get the mini-guide. It appears that the data throughput is insufficient for the amount of data involved in the guide. Also, the search feature in the guide should include a way to find a channel by the channel name.

I don't like the forced update. There was no reason to change the layout of the guide listing and I don't like the live part. When I click on a program, you no longer get to see who's in it or a description. I never had any trouble with it before, so cannot see what there was to improve upon. For as much as we pay for tv, it would be great to go old school and common sense by just including a guide channel like before. Pay that much, but have to download an app to find out what's on. Smh.

My review is for the Spectrum app on our roku device. It is absolutely terrible. I don't know if it is associated with a recent update, but for approx 3 months now, it disconnects from the wifi approx 4 times an hour. It worked wonderful until 3 months ago. We have already troubleshooted the router/modem, the extender, etc. It only happens on the Spectrum app. All our other apps and devices work fine with no problems and never any interruptions. The roku never loses excellent wifi connection.

Guide is useless. Cannot set a program to record. Update - I wish I could change the rating to zero stars. The record option is there now. But when I try to record something, it tries to record it on a channel that I don't have instead of the channel I am currently on in guide. Then the message about "upgrade subscription to watch" pops up. Super lame. I give up.

Latest version makes the guide near useless and frustrating to use. Guide only visible while watching live TV. Cannot see program onfo for a current show. Clicking on the guide just changes the channel. You used to be able to see all of the upcoming shows by clicking on the channel name and that's gone. App was a good way to browse shows and schedule recordings, but it's handicapped for that now.

Fix the update or revert back! This was a great app prior to the most recent forced update. I agree with the other posts about the grid, but they added some bs dodger game block that has carried over to the remote dvr set feature which i used all the time. I can remotely set the dvr for pre game, but not the actual game. Get a pop up that says I need to add the channel. I have the channel, it's the only reason I subscribe to this service. After 1 hour on the phone w bs excuses, Fix your mistake.

I do like this spectrum TV to watch your favorite shows and channels on the go, but just recently after an update came out, I tried to access my DVR but it kept saying, "We were unable to retrieve your recordings. Pull down to refresh." I kept refreshing and refreshing but it still didn't work. They need to fix this because it's not supposed to happen on the app.

This app is horrible!! Have not been able to use it for 3-4 wks. Shows "check your internet connection" my internet connection is working fine. It's this app that is not working. Have uninstalled it several times, but still reads "no internet connection. " For as much as I am charged every month, I would expect spectrum to have everything available to me. In the last 6 months my spectrum bill has increased 3 times, yet unable to use the app. 🤬

I'm running this on Android phones and a tablet. Works OK most of the time. On the tablet, it hangs on Spectrum commercials several times an hour. It hangs in the exact same frame of the commercials. Ironically, they are usually Spectrum commercials for watching TV on the go! If I leave it, occasionally it will resume after a minute or so. If I switch to Home and then back to Live TV, it resume playing live. Other than the freezing, the UI is generally primitive with some poor design choices.

I thought it was just me! I've had nothing but trouble from day one. I've used the app on roku...my phone...my tablet and it is just horrible. The absolute worst part is the dvr. You set it to record early and you still miss the beginning of programs!! It randomly just starts whenever it wants. Even if you set it for 15 mins early, it will just randomly change the settings. I agree with whoever said you can't see what your ffwd or rewind and it buffers ALOT. JUST HORRIBLE. Support is useless.

We wanted to love streaming to our smart TV using Spectrum. But we hate it. Setting up recordings is easy on my phone app. But watching them on Roku TV is awful. When you try to ff or rewind, you can't see what you're skipping. It's nearly impossible to navigate to different live channels without going back to the home screen, and you can't pause, rewind or ff live TV. Switching from one screen to the next is very slow. All this might be better if I could use my phone app to control the TV app.

"On Demand" is 100% unusable. Whenever I reach the end of an ad break, the app buffers for a moment before the adbreak timer resets, looping the same ad again, and again, and again....Forever. I've not been able to watch a single thing on this app. Outta be renamed to "Adware TV" as the ads seem to be the only thing it can stream. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Even worse than before. I used to be able to see all my channels in the listing and at least select that I wanted to record a show, even if I couldn't watch it on the app. Now, it only shows channels I can watch on the app. I can understand that being A CHOICE, but not being the only option. Also "Stream On Demand or live TV anywhere, on any device." remains a falsehood. This cannot be installed on Android TV.

The last month or so, I have to re-enter my password on every device. It's. Very. Annoying. I use a complicated, secure password, which takes forever to enter on the TV. I have no idea why this started happening. The first year, we stayed signed in on all our devices. For what reason would this change?? And now, on my phone app, my password somehow "doesn't match the records". Well, sorry Spectrum, but that's the only password I know.

Recently forced to use this app to watch TV because I'm waiting for a new cable box to arrive from spectrum. I only watch Live TV. The app is horrible compared to the cable box. There's no page up and down, the info doesn't show you nearly as much as the info you see with the cable box, there's no movie ratings with stars, there's no previous channel button, it's just atrocious. This app needs to be scrapped and Rewritten from the bottom up to make it act like the cable TV box.

Worst.app.ever. 0 stars. Constantly crashing, stuck in buffer. All around doesn't work. Not a day goes by when I don't have to reinstall it on my TV in order for the playback to go smoothly. However, this fix is only temporary as I'll have to reinstall again later, at some point. Really can't watch anything when you such a horrible application. And additional info, this app now freezes upon changing channels.

Seems my previous review was deleted. On all platforms, endless buffering. On my Roku, I live in a community that has grouped internet access for the building. Often times, the app logs out and I can't get to the streaming TV app. I have to constantly restart devices. When I call, they say they're working it. It takes hours. They're not good with delivering results. This app is terrible. I'd give it 0 stars if I could.

Can no longer log into my account Also, can no longer swipe to change channels. Called tech support......no help whatsoever!!!!! Have emailed developers. They have not fixed any issues. Still cannot login into my account. Finally!!! They have fixed their app! Updated on 9/6/22. Approx one month after their dreaded updated. Considering there was no communication and how long it took them o fix I am only upping the rating to a 3.

Spectrum app won't load, again. When it does load it is difficult to use, you can no longer control the volume from within meaning that you have to have a tv remote also, the the service is too expensive. Edit: the app now let's you control the volume from the phone and in a better manner. Good improvement. Still WAY too costly.

I am having major crash issues with Spectrum TV; for about the last month the app has been crashing. The last 2 weeks were worse. This week's crashing incidence rate is horrific! Example from today: every 90 mins I am kicked out of the app. It can even happen more frequently. While watching a NatGeo Wild today it crashed after 15 mins, then again 10 mins later, then crashed more frequently. It also woukd show the advert block, reset and show me the EXACT set of commercials again! PLS FIX!

This app is a major disappointment. Many channels are messed up, audio disappears intermittently, buffers constantly, among other things. I've had three technicians at my house changing out equipment and wiring. They all agree, it's the lousy app. Spectrum service doesn't know what to do so they say they'll have someone call me back and no one does...sad day for customer service. The app was out over 8 hours a couple of days ago. Now it doesn't work at all. I'm so frustrated.

Finally had enough and going to cancel my service. I receive some sort of error message literally everytime I open the app. The rep recommended this as an alternative to paying for a box rental but it's frustrating that it never works! If they ever become compatible with Firestick I may return but for now, I am done! I tired of wasting money on something I can't use.

Horrible service over the past few weeks. It rarely loads and sends an error message that says try again later. When I spoke to customer service to ask for a bill adjustment, it mysteriously worked for 2 days. Now it's back to the error message! I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, cleared the cache and all my other apps work fine. I have plenty of storage, no problems with my cell carrier. Spectrum App was fine until the past few weeks!! What happened?🤷🏾‍♀️

The app is nearly impossible for viewing movies. I love star wars and when all that's on live TV is political garbage and how bad things in the world are right now (aka the 50 "different" news channels) I like to watch it. However, when I'm halfway through a movie it will show 250 seconds of annoying ads that I can't skip (btw that's the ONLY time I want to skip) and then it will restart the movie! In summary, 1.Put skipping back on ads, and 2.Fix the glitches that hinder me from watching movies

This app is horrible! You can't rewind,fast forward or pause your shows. Recordings can,but you can't see how far back or forward you are going. It's always buffering and since you can't rewind,you miss a part of what you're watching. Also,sometimes you get a message that says action can't be completed,but you didnt try to do anything, so again you miss a part of whatever you were watching Some shows are missing episodes of a serie,it's all very frustrating.

The app is okay. But, the biggest problem I've found while using it on my smart tv is it will pop up a message asking if I'm still watching. After clicking yes, the app freezes. It usually takes 5-10 minutes before starts working again. Sometimes, it's easier to turn off the TV because nothing in the app works. Really annoying to have this happen constantly for an app from my cable/internet company.

Great when it works, but I have been getting an error message for over a week. It keeps telling me to wait a few minutes and try back again. Finally, I uninstalled and re-installed the app just now. No difference! Same error message. Very annoying! May 8, 2022 I'm having the same problem again! All week I have been getting this error message. Just now I Uninstalled and reinstalled this app. No improvement! Then Spectrum sends me ads for upgrades. They can't even do what I am paying for!

The on-demand part is miles ahead of your DVR boxes selections in home, however the constant Sectrum ads ever five minutes, plus the fact that if an error occurs during one of those many breaks happens, the commercials start all over, and there's nothing the user can do about it! Also watching live programs there is no pause, or rewind capability is a big downfall. This has the potential to be a decent app, it's just not there yet. Just needs some major work still. Com'mon you can do it!!!

I use the app on my roku TV. The guide function doesn't allow for jumping to a channel quickly which means I have to scroll constantly. Adding a small search that can be done using a "keypad" would make the app much more convenient for me. Other than that it would be nice to have a reminder setting that would change to the channel I want when selected shows come on. That said the streaming seems to be smooth and I can't really tell the difference between streaming and watching TV using a box

Nice App. Mostly. This app is good while connected to your home WiFi, but only a few channels when driving around or elsewhere with wifi, but not your home. I feel like for what I pay, I should be able to access nearly all my usual channels. The ability to use my phone app to change channels on my cable box is very good. When it works, that is. Most of the time, it doesn't work. Hope they fixed it with the recent update. We should be able to DVR in the Cloud, like YouTube,for the price paid

I thought I saw every possible screw up that you can come up with (some more than one) with this app but you did come up with a new one. I shouldn't be a bit surprised after all you're known for screw-ups. The channels that I use to watch on this app for years are no longer available. Now I'm getting connect to in- home wifi with the channel. I tried resetting, cleared the cache to be followed by a reinstall. Still getting it. Why are we getting this all of a sudden?!?

I like the app. But there is difference to what you can watch on t.v and in the app. Movies I can watch on my app. But I have to rent when i put it on my tv. Also I hate most of everything has commercials that will not let you fast forward. It can be frustrating. But it doesn't lage, delay, or buffer at all. I also have only had it shut off on me 1 time. I do wish they would add a tab so you can watch your DVR items on the app. You can set your box up to record from your device though..

Constantly having issues/error messages. App won't load, tells me to come back later, can't watch anything on phone, tablet. Getting really tired of spectrum and the prices they charge when you're not even able to use all of their Services due to constant "issues". Half the time at home, I'm not even able to get local channels on my cable box . Very frustrating.

Here we go again with this app. Now most of the channels are unavailable. My wifi is working perfectly, but the channels aren't displaying video. Before this happened, the video displayed, but every 3 mins or so, they started buffering. It's not even with watching when it does this. But I knew something bigger was about to happen. I swear I need to find a better streaming and television service. Smh Also, my Cisco portable cable box doesn't display several channels, that were once visible!

For over a year now I have subscribed to this service and it has been unreliable since. All of my other apps (Hulu, Netflix, Prime, etc.) have worked without issue, so it has never been an internet issue. They never have a straight answer. They have tested, swapped equipment, had me power devices on and off, and had me reset EVERYTHING. They do not offer credits, instead they insist that you wait until the problem is resolved so that they "can credit you for the duration of the issue". FAIL!!!!

APP SUCKS! When watching live TV, you can't pause or rewind. If you record the show and then go to the DVR, you can pause, rewind, and fast forward.....UNLESS you cast to your TV!!! Then you can't. Have to sit through all commercials because those features don't work. I switched from YouTubeTV because it was cheaper, now I know why!! Thinking about switching back. Even this review forces me to give 1 star, even though I want to give 0!

According to the Mar. 17, 2021 update, the shop will now always start at the beginning of the show. That is not the case. I do have an HTC phone. The streaming portion of the app is incompetently written. All the other streaming apps on my phone (Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, etc.) work either immediately or within a few seconds, but I can barely get this one to stream at the best of times and it usually isn't the best of times. Two stars because it will at least play on my phone.

The need to log in multiple times a day from the same device is very frustrating! I used to be able to log in once on my Android device and it would be good for months. Now I have to enter a username and password almost every time I start the app (from the same device). Very annoying!! Terrible response. Below referral to a web site and several more hoops is ridiculous. As of today same problem. They direct you to provide feedback to a separate site that only handles their scripted questions.

Works fine, but having to sit through commercials, while watching movies on the premium channels, that we pay too much for, is totally ridiculous. As many as 6 or more, that last up to 225 seconds, has made us rethink paying for actual cable tv. There are just too many other options that have ad-free options, and canceling Spectrum would let us buy them all!

Really love the app because I can add it to every TV in my house without having to use a box. I actually like the interface better than the cable box. If this goes away I cut the cord. It's way too expensive for what I get and now the plus channels are coming out which are not included! The worst part about this app is the annoying pop-up that stops the stream and asks if you are still watching. It always happens right in the middle of the best part of a show.

First they pulled the Roku app then I had to cast it to watch on my TV. Constant buffering, poor video quality, slow reaction times. Preferences always change even though I set them beforehand. Had to reset it three times in the middle of a football game. If this is the best you can do I might as well go back to using a DVR. I don't think you should tout a cloud DVR when it functions this poorly. Maybe you should spend less money on expansion and advertising and focus more on a better product.

Nice to have but: my wife can't use the app on her older iPad because Spectrum no longer supports iOS 10, which is as recent as her iPad can run; the casting runs about a minute behind what is broadcasting through the cable box; changing channels and navigating is not easy or intuitive on all our devices; and everything starts with commercials. But, reception and clarity of sound and video is good.

I'm not sure if it's the app or overall bad connection through spectrum. We watch through the app on our Samsung smart TV. It constantly stops and restarts (plays about 3 seconds, then stops and replays) and freezes during shows. When it reconnects, it sometimes does so at such a horrible resolution that I feel like I'm back in the 80s watching on an old tube TV. Maybe even a VCR recording of an old tube TV... On a tape that has been recorded on 100 times. Yeah, that bad.

This is the worst streaming app I've used. The interface looks good at first glance, but once you begin to use it you can tell that it's just a pretty wrapper over very bad code, or possibly an app trying to control a horrible streaming service. You are not able to skip ahead or back while watching a DVR'd program while it's being recorded While watching a program that is "DVRing" and the app crashes, which happens more than it should, you have to start all over and since you can't skip ahead, you're forced to watch from the very beginning. You cannot use this on an Nvidia Shield. Spectrum also decided to remove Roku support. The only way to using this app with a TV other than a new Samsung is via casting. Casting from this app works for a bit and then freezes or gets the 8-bit video game look. I know that can be due to WiFi strength, but I assure you that I had very minimal traffic elsewhere on the network and very strong signal strength when casting. I would not recommend this app to anyone. This app convinced me to drop Spectrum all together.

Horrible App. Freezes up continually, no matter what WiFi network I am using, whether at work in lunch, home or elsewhere. I watch TV on other apps and NEVER have the freezing up or crashing that I have with this app. Garbage. Have uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared out cashes on phone, laptop and tablet, same thing. You'd think a company like this would have something that actually works.

On my new Galaxy S20 FE 5G, Spectrum TV does not work well at all! Live TV never starts up right away, sometimes it takes 30 sec, sometimes a few minutes, and sometimes it never starts at all, just the spinning circle. When it does start it often hangs up as if buffering despite plenty of bandwidth and 100+Mb service. The area I usually use it is only 10-15 ft from my router, which is a high quality tri-band 802.11ac model. I've started using TuneIn Radio instead as it is much more reliable.

Horrible app. We opted to use the app to stream our cable to TV rather than paying the ridiculous monthly fee they want to charge you every single month for boxes. At this point, it's not even worth paying for the cable. Every day there are reliability issues. Can't connect, doesn't load, buffers then cuts out saying there were problems playing, etc. Tired of hearing the "I'm sorry you're not having a good experience ".

Should delete the "watch on TV" option, considering it doesn't work and when it does you still have to press ok on the remote to the TV, pointless when I'm working from home and trying to entertain the kids. Stuck on buffering ever few minutes especially on my Roku. Spectrum needs to step it up, started charging more and everything's always cutting in and out.

Horrible. Between limited device availability, commercials, and bad interface it was the worst service I've used. Have to call to cancel and that is almost an impossibilty. After waiting for a callback for an hour got a call back to be put on hold for 30 minutes, to be hung up on before talking to who I needed, just to do it all again. I'm going to be switching ISP after this horrible experience.

I'm not sure if I'm giving the app the bad rating or the service, possibly both. But there always seem to be a problem. Not really user friendly, crashing and glitching happens more often than not, the price of the service along with the lack of stations available outside of the home network. The inconsistency of this app makes me want to cancel the service altogether. *edit* Gave it 1 star because after almost a week, the app still force closes after reinstalling a bunch of times.

App takes multiple minutes to cast, unlike Netflix, Hulu, and pretty much every other app that loads instantly. Coupled with cable boxes that regularly crash, it makes an extremely frustrating user experience. Update 10/17: Still has severe problems, often can't pause or communicate at all. Update: Sometimes captions won't work, which is an accessibility issue.

The user interface is a bit clumsy at times. My biggest issue at the moment is that Autoplay does not work -- both casting to a TV or watching on the app. I've toggled the switch several times now with no results. I updated the app to latest version -- still no Autoplay. It becomes increasingly frustrating to have to continuously go back into the app to select the next episode every time.

So, you cannot access your recordings with the app, which is a huge bummer. You can, however, set up a recording through the app. Just can't watch that recording unless it's on demand. It always opens on spectrum channel. Not a huge deal but can be annoying. I'm use to Hulu, so that is the look and feel I like the most. This app just makes me wanna use Hulu instead.

Don't get it. It used to work but now it doesn't. You can't watch anything without it buffering or just straight up not playing. I pay for tv, phone, and wifi from them, but cant even watch what i want to. You can watch the adds though. They always make sure they play all the way through with no buffering. It's annoying. Fix the bugs and maybe I'll leave you a little better of a review

Not bad. Not great. I use it to watch Live TV since there is only one cable outlet in my apartment. The Live TV section has frequent drops. Resolution drops. Video freezes. Audio dropouts. I'd say the quality of viewing is about on par with YouTube prior to HD. It's unpredictable most of the time. Have to switch back and forth between channels to restore coverage most of the time. But when it works it's really nice.

App is almost completely useless!!! Cant watch your recordings on it. You can't watch anything live unless you're on your home wifi... which completely defeats the purpose of a "MOBILE APP"!!! If you're at home, YOU CAN JUST WATCH IT ON YOUR TV!!! It does give you the option to set up a recording from the app... but that function only works once in every 20 tries. It will say it's set up... but rarely actually records. And it can only work if you leave your dvr turned on when you leave home.

This is the most horrible app I have ever seen. It hasn't worked properly since they updated it the last 2 times. It stops and freezes every 2 or 3 minutes, or just goes away, and takes forever to come back on. The guide seems to be wonky after the last update. Terrible app! They should have just left it alone and not updated. Says network unavailable - I don't have a problem with the other apps on my Roku.

This app has improved greatly in the 2 years I've been using it. It used to crash all the time. I really like being able to check my DVR's remotely when I can't remember if I've set or erased things when I'm out of town, or even just out for a while. I love it that it will shrink down to a tiny screen & keep playing while I do something else on my phone! I was watching coverage of a storm, & was able to text someone at the same time to warn them!

We use the spectrum app in our house instead of having the traditional cable boxes. Works great, the only issue is that after a while you'll get a warning sign saying, "Still there? Interact with your remote to continue watching." There is no spectrum remote if you have the app. Have to delete the app then reinstall it back. This bug needs to be fixed, the app should not be trying to recognize a remote like there is a cable box present.

The new guide is awful. You can't see any show info without actually selecting the show. You can select stations as favorites but they don't stay selected. The app always opens on channel 84 for me and you can't select what channel you want the app to open on. The app is slow, you have to push the back button constantly to use the guide and you can't see the show you're watching while the guide is up. The old set-up was good. Since the "update" the app is horrible.

I would've rated this app 5 stars, but a few weeks ago it stopped working on my Samsung Tablet (Android 7.1.1 - requires Android 5 and above) which I used every day. The app still works on my phone, but I prefer the tablet and not to worry about my data usage. Many people online are reporting the same problem but no one has found a solution. I updated the app today but it still shows the same error message: Channel "is currently unavailable" DLP-1025 I REALLY want to rate you 5 stars! Thanks!

Up until a little over a week ago the app had been working fine on my TV but since some recent changes it's having issues. For one thing the Guide is now different (not a fan.) I had favorites but since the change not all are there even though it's telling me they are. I have to delete the app at least two times a day because the Fox channel doesn't show up unless I do and I have to add it in again. Not to keene on the Demand changes either. Also have been getting error messages RLP_1007.

It hasn't been 12 hours yet. The app(s) is pointless. I'm trying to watch on my phone. The show will not expand to my phone's full screen, but there is a box to click on for that option. It works for only a second, then goes back to half a screen. Who can watch a show on a phone on a half a screen? This is my first day with signing up with you too... Also apps drains my battery. Commercials on the movies on demand too! Come on!

I was watching on my laptop just fine until...the sound and picture constantly go out of sync. It drives me crazy. Hitting refresh sometimes fixes it. But it's only a minute or so before they start to go out of sync again. I also get kicked out with no apparent reason. Watching on my laptop is so much more convenient. I just don't like quality,

It doesn't work very well. Can't login with my android phone. Edit: Login finally works. But the Guide that comes with the app is very hard to use. the basic broadcast channels appear only after all the others, Weird having to scroll down to the bottom of a long list (close to 2000 items) to find them. I use the guide to set up recordings. Watching on a tiny cell phone is not for me.

It's surprisingly better and more convenient than the actual receiver, which that's not saying much, but I wish my channels showed in the receiver this well. You guys could stand to learn a thing or two about how to treat long standing customers and how we shouldn't have to beg for upgraded equipment. Check on us from time to time, instead of only remembering us during billing.

It doesn't always work. It regularly won't schedule when I tell it to record things, it will mess up the recording schedule for Series when I try to edit the settings, and it will only show a fraction of what I know to be on my DVR. I never had these issues when it was Bright House. I wish I could skip down to channels that are unavailable when not connected to my home Wi-Fi. Most of the time I use the Guide is to schedule a future recording, so I don't care whether or not I can view from away.

The service sucks! I have had service for 2 days and it has been horrible. I keep getting error messages and service is temporarily unavailable. I pay Spectrum a good bit every month... if you are going to offer a service, make sure it works. My internet and streaming is roughly 85 a month. I tried to add an HD Box for 7.99 and was told my bill would be 123.45. How does adding an HD Box cause the price to jump nearly $40?

They've now completely blocked the ability to cast to your smart TV or Chromecast entirely. Just returned my cable boxes assuming I would be able to cast from the app to my TV. I even tried to mirror the screen of my Android device then open the app and the video section of the app displaying the channel you're watching is blacked out. This company is an absolute disgrace. It seems all they are trying to do is piss off their customers in any way they can.

Don't know where you get these programmers, but the recent updates are so poor, you'd think someone in high school could do better. It's almost as if they never used the app. The selection screen doesn't scroll, and sometimes i can't even see my station because the screen stops with it half hidden on the bottom. I've sent message after message and nothing. With a gazillion programmers in the world, you'd think such a large company would hire the best. Updated 9-5-2019, not working again.

This app was great when it worked. In the past it often crashed and had issues but I could sometimes use it and when I was able to, I loved being able to access my dvr remotely to set recordings. Since the update, it won't even open. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling, but now there is no tab for the dvr at all, even after signing in and out a few times. I don't know what you did, but please fix it!!! I spend so much on cable that the mobile aspect being useless is not good.

Great option for tv without the cost. Good selection of channels. However, video quality is horrible. picture flickers fuzzy every few minutes. It happens on all devices in home and never issues on other apps. It is not the service or devices. Customer care is no help neither was tech who came out. it's enough to make us consider dropping it for Hulu live.

App only works occasionally. Most of the time I get an error message. Same problem on multiple devices. Update 6/6/17 So I no longer get an error message, the app just continues to say "loading". On the rare occasions that it loads, I get almost 3 uninterrupted minutes of viewing before the screen goes black.

Horrible, like everything else Spectrum. I can watch maybe 10 minutes of something before I get an error code. I'm using home Wifi, which works flawlessly for everything not Spectrum (even 4k movies on Netflix). Good luck with support too. They like to blame everything on the consumer without even hinting that they'll report the issue to IT. Still sucks. Not working at all right now. 4/1/2019 update: Still sucks! I haven't been able to view most of my channels for over a week.

It was going well, but has become very problematic and doesn't work and cites errors. I called and the first automatic adversitement at Spectrum was about their mobile streaming, made me laugh. Reported the error, and the nice gentelman did all he could but I told him that the App is flawed, not my phone or internet service. Will be uninstalling it and will seek other options such as Hulu. Spectrum raised their prices but service quality has decreased.

The app is not worth Spectrums $25 a month. To start with, you cant cast from the app. you have to have a Roku or Samsung smart tv otherwise, you have to mirror your device in order to watch it on the TV. Spectrum lied to me and said I could cast. Then, the streaming lags a lot. It spits and sputters through the episode, its hit or miss if it will continue playing imto the next episode and, it just stops playing, sometimes, and says its not available at this time.

this app is terrible. Most of the time it doesn't work. And when it does work the stream quality is terrible. I have tried this for several years and it still does not work. I use this on my tablet and on my Roku device. Neither works very good. Netflix, Prime video, YouTube TV and YouTube all work just fine on my devices. It would be great if this would work.

What junk. The voice keeps going out while I'm trying to watch a show. Half the time like others above I get the same error it can't find my network. And lastly it won't load on my phone, my I pad or computer. I've called three times for tech support after about an hour they say they need to install updates or reset my modem, the last time they had Samsung take control of my TV and do some updates. Each time the app works for 30 min to an hour after they hang up and it starts all over again. if you're looking into getting this APP don't waste your money I'm going back to the antennae. It works way better, not as many channels but the channels I do get, come in.

App crashes non stop. Can't watch any of my favorite shows unless I'm at home on my wifi, where I could just use my TV. App crashes with every commercial break, constantly gives an error and won't let me watch on demand, then crashes. Did I mention it crashes all the time? Cause it crashes ALL THE TIME!!! *Edit* 8 months later and I'm downgrading from 2 stars to 1. cant believe that havent done anything to fix any of the issues. total garbage!

Once again This app does not work on my samsung galaxy s7 phone or my samsung tablet. Up till a week ago it worked fine. When i click on it, it spins for several minutes then says "an error was encountered. Try again later. Dge-1001". I have force stopped the app, deleted, reinstalled. Restarted my modem and router. Nothing works. I have been a customer for over 30 years and am very frustrated. i have forced stop the app and cleared cache and data and still doesnt work

If there was ever an app that should run on Android TV... Come on guys, get it together. Over a year later and many updates later and still, no Android TV, and no nVidia Shield which basically means no FireTV either. Pretty easy here, it already runs on Android, just launch in whatever the screen orientation is and allow navigation with up, down, left, right and select.

This app is terrible. It won't work with Fire TV. Their suggestion was that I go buy a Roku. NO! I already bought a streaming device! Make your app work with Fire TV! I used it on my tablet, which at least worked, for the most part. The user interface was a bit clunky, but functional. But now suddenly, no videos will actually stream. I get errors every time I try to start one. Why should I be paying for a service I can't even use because they can't figure out technology more current than about 2015? Im planning to just cancel and go with Hulu or Directv Now.

The stupid app never works. There's always something going wrong with it. I haven't been able to access it with wifi for 2 days now. Only works on data, but it uses a massive amount of data. I only get mad because they update it and it gets worse then they tell me it's my wifi. My wifi signal is great and my wifi works for everything except this app.

Has always worked kind of funky. Sometimes it would work great sometimes didn't work at all. But now for a week it doesn't even give us any access. In fact it tells us that we've been blocked or that it's not available in our package. When we talk to support they were nice tried several things but nothing and at one point we were told that it's a free app so we shouldn't be complaining. Thinking about switching now because we use most of our cable access through the app in different rooms so it doesn't really seem logical to keep it anymore if it's not going to work in half the house.

I signed for the service to use this app a week ago. I have been unable to watch anything on any of my devices. Followed all the troubleshooting guides, uninstalled, reinstalled, and rebooted everything numerous times with no change. Called support and they tried to be helpful, but the best they could offer was acknowledging there is a problem with the app and they're working on it. I can see the guide, select my favorites, and add programs to my watch list, I just can't watch anything. Will be calling tomorrow to cancel the service.

This app keeps freezing or showing very low quality signal on my tvs using either a Roku stick or TV app. I've called spectrum about this and they say there's nothing they can do about the app. Well if part of your sales pitch is that I could save money by using your app and not have to lease a box, then you should supply FREE boxes until you get your app working just as good as the box! This has been going on for months now, yet spectrum won't even offer a discount on your service bill since they aren't delivering a good product. Spectrum is a joke!

Constantly freezes up and the guide seldom works without having to wait until you're no longer interested. No matter how many time I call tech support it doesn't help. I was told once that it's a known issue and there's no solution in sight and received a small credit on my bill but that doesn't help when you've bought smart TV's for your whole house to use this garbage app! And to add insult to injury they just announced an increase in everyone's bill in this area!

By far the worst app for streaming ever. Spectrum offered the service free for a month. Haven't watch more than 15 minutes without crashing and 3 or 4 different error codes. Note 9, xbox one s, galaxy tab, and smart tv absolutely WILL NOT function for more than 15 minutes without fail. not worth paying for. stick with hulu plus or something else.

!!!BUYER BEWARE!!! Was robbed of nearly 300$ by Spectrum, claiming my credit card went through then saying it didnt and charged multiple fees. This happened multiple times over the course of this year. Each time I was NEVER notified until I actually went to look at my bill. Separately, they charged me a $150 installation fee, when I was the one who did the installation to save the wait for a technician. (Ergo, I shouldn't have been charged a fee.) BUYER BEWARE THIS IS A SCAM.

**Update- This App is horrible!! Can't believe they can charge people for something that doesn't work!! When I call their customer service suggests to go with something else such as Sling** It doesn't always work get more errors from App than I ever have and since it the only way I can watch cable, quite frustrating when it doesn't always work or always has connection errors!

I have frequent issues with this on all of my devices (Roku, tablet, smartphone). I shouldn't have to uninstall and reinstall the app daily for it to start to work. The Spectrum internet is also spotty, which probably doesn't help. I'm shopping around now for a better mobile tv provider. If it worked, I'd give it rave reviews. It's easy to use when it works and I like the on demand options. There are just too many glitches to be paying $22+$15 for a premium package.

Truly terrible. You have to get to the tv 10 minutes before your program starts so you can watch it boot up, walk through error messages, blow out of the program for no reason, and then finally get to the channel you want. Once you have your channel, it may or may not lag. Tried to watch a football game with my daughter last week, and we were both driven crazy by sudden freeze frames / stop motion / fast motion to catch up broadcasting. I thought this was just the football satellite, but no - the commercials were as bad as the live broadcast. Bad experience all around. If you have another cheap alternative or can get your programs another way, I would not choose Spectrum.

The app sucks on every device I use. Either the app crashes on my phone, or won't stream when I use it on my Xbox. It's like you better have your device directly connected to your router or else it won't work. Idk what the problem is when I use it on my phone, but it is ridiculously annoying. I've since directly connected to my router and it still sucks. Terrible service, terrible app.
