Only 2 free podcasts per week with AI support...does not worth.
This is one of the first products I've used where I can totally see how AI will make life better. Loving it!
Update Aug 2026: It works now and it's doing a pretty good job. Previous comment: The interface is very confusing And the snippet function that was supposed to summarize the podcast didn't work for me, maybe because of the slow server or something else. That loading icon kept on rotating but nothing actually downloads would certainly change my review if that issue resolved
In an ideal world we would have the playback features of PocketCasts combined with the AI smarts of Snipd in one app for $40/yr. A guy can dream.
would be an easy 5 if it showed video pods too.
I like the feature of reviewing podcasts with interesting guests with strong ideas. You can easily bookmark interesting quotes while driving.
this app is one of the best podcast apps. the thing I like most about it, is the transcript section which is really user-friendly with a great UI. it's really helpful to improve my listening skills. I tried many apps and this one is the best.
why is discover section given much prominence over queue? editing queue is so hard- tapping on an episode shud open the details and long pressing it shud play it (or vice versa) much worse ux than pocket casts. no widget for playback controls? also auto add to queue option in podcast settings. and where the hell is the next and previous buttons? how do I skip to the next podcast? how to change episode artwork to default. so much enshittification and no basic common sense features. how AI DJ off?
AI features are useful but overall UX polish needs work There's no 4 x 1 playback widget which almost every Android audio app has. There's no web app, no batch selection, no customizing swipe actions and the 2 AI credits seem to be processed automatically, which prevents my for picking which podcasts I actually want analyzed.
What an absolutely amazing app! Kudos. It's an absolute pleasure to use. Really well implemented.
dlna feature plus chrome cast requested. Update after two years of using the app: The refresh feed is so slow. it is using client polling for fetching episodes and that is noticeably slow. I wonder if the creators are power users of their own app to notice this as a huge ui issue
revolutionizes how you can listen to podcasts, extract insights from episodes. Best podcast player out there right now
I love the ability to take clips of episodes and send the content to readwise. the problem is that recently it has caused me to run out of mobile data with 9gb of use. I have auto downloads on wifi only very rarely stream an episode without downloading it first over wifi. No other app I have comes close to this data usage. # update 2026 - love the app overall, but lately performance issues have it crashing and consuming most of my phone battery in the background
Love this app. It's helped me with taking notes on podcasts when I can't take notes (usually because I'm driving). However I'm taking off a star because they still have yet to add a playlist feature even though they said this was on the roadmap. It will have been 3 years since that announcement on August 7th.
Hi Snipd Support, I have an active Premium subscription renewed a few days ago. My auto-generated snips created while listening have disappeared, including from older episodes where they were visible before. I did not log out, reinstall the app, change account, or delete data. Auto-snipping is still enabled. Could you please check and restore them?
I just meant that I can share a podcast from Spotify etc to Notebook LM but not from Snipd to Notebook LM. March 2026: Why can't I share episode with notebook LM? Apr 19: Fantastic new update! > Most functional best looking podcast app hands down. Podcast specific playback speed settings. Very nice.
The ability to use AI to chat with my podcasts allows me to summarize and share with friends exactly what I think they'll be interested in. The new DJ feature is awesome. So is the ability to upload my audiobooks so that I can snip clips for future reference and use AI to chat with my audiobooks.
enshittified. used to pay for this app for a year. rather pay those who MAKES the podcasts, you know. not able to copy the shownotes to the clipboard? 🐍time to abandon + one of the slowests podcasts app out there. using regular text editor to jot something on the go, quickly and in the way to be able remember the the original thought later - feels better for the brain anyway. or voice note. saved money one can pay to content creators, think about it (if you didn't outsourced that yet to AI dj)
A tool that can "Create insights" from any contiguous block of text is less useful than one that creates *actual insights* by selecting from multiple sections/pod casts/media clips. That tool would be FAR more useful. This app generated substantial noise and very little signal. Its annoying to have to click a podcast to read a description because then the app thinks I'm interested and starts downloading it. Transcriptions are free in reality and if REALLY important, my phone has a notes app...
Overall, I really like this app. I love that I can search through snips from all the podcasts I've listened to recently. Sometimes I find using the "create snip" button is a bit finicky, but I might just need to fine-tune the settings. I wish you could make playlists other than just "favorites", since I save podcasts for different reasons. I also wish that "run AI processing" was directly in the menu that opens when you select an episode, rather than having to first go to the episode details.
I like the concept but the main reason I use it for, which is chapter generation so I can skip around easily, only works sometimes. The chapters are usually way off. A chapter will be marked as an ad break but the ad is halfway into the chapter. The chapters have been perfect before but just not consistent.
Total game changer! This is one of those few apps that significantly changed how I do things (for the better). For the longest times I would listen to an audiobook or podcast and hear something interesting or meaningful but, if I was on the go, I'd have no way to write it down or remember it. I can't imagine how many insightful & impactful thoughts, facts, and perspectives I lost forever before I found Snipd. The ability to instantly tag & summarize moments is an absolute game changer!
This does a good job at creating chapters for podcasts and identifying breaks between different topics. But after canceling my premium membership, I lost all of the unused AI processing minutes I had for that month. So users beware, if you paid for that month and cancel for upcoming reoccurring months, any AI processing time you paid for that you didn't use yet will be taken away when your subscription ends.
It is such an amazing app, and reinvents the whole idea of how we build knowledge by reducing alot of friction I love the idea of Daily Highlight of snips, it allows me to reflect how much my thinking has changed since I listened to podcast. Just one thing. I would really love if there would be more pricing options. Monthly pricing of INR 415 is quite expensive and while the yearly pricing of INR 250 fits right, it is quite binding.Pricing between them, like for 3/6 months period will be great
The premise of the app - Inspiring; The interview - promising; Taking me to a repeat interview when I return to the app - very disappointing! The app does not allow me to abort their repeat interview short of aborting the app all together! Devs: if your app forgets the interview data, obviously it is a bug that you need to fix ASAP! Response to devs: Having developed software in my career, an app needs to remember the user input of every step of such an interview even if it's not finished!
hands down best podcast app ever. I've used PlayerFM, Pocket Cast, and Podbean. The ability to bookmark (snip) sections while listening at tapping on your earbuds is godsent. This is an app that integrates AI in way that actually makes sense, and doesn't feel like a last minute though that's being forced into place.
Parsing timestamps from show notes is incredibly buggy. Even when notes show 12 diff timestamps, the parser combines them into 4 (Huberman for an example). What's the point of an AI that is advertised as parsing audio, when it cannot reliably parse text ? Also does not allow opening embedded links in a browser of your choice. The inbuilt webview/instance is terrible.
The AI features are not that helpful to me, but the ability to snip once in a while is useful. I really wish the AI generated banner would go away on the top screen of a podcast episode. It is very large, hard to read, and crowds out the show notes and I almost always just want to read the show notes instead to understand what the episode is about. it is almost annoying enough to make me think about changing to a different podcast app at this point.
Really cool podcast a player with some neat AI features. Although, I wished there was a better, clearer unified library of your podcasts, what's downloaded, what's new, and history of what you listened to. Currently it feels like a disorganized unintuitive mess. There is no easy way to track your AI credits (this seems hidden) and no easy way to track all your various monthly credits in one place.
It's the best of apps and the worst of apps. The best: It's features absolutely blow away any other podcast app. Not even close. The worst: It's very unstable and crashes frequently, very annoying. Any other app that I have that is this buggy would be uninstalled. The fact that I keep using it is a testimonial to how good it is, feature-wise.
I really like this app so far -- I'm a paid subscriber after my free trial got me hooked. But: 1) I can't seem to download the laptop version in synchronisation with the phone app. 2) the search function is unhelpful as it's limited to podcast titles. I want to be able to search by topic or by author/speaker.
This is the podcast app I've always wanted. The only issue is that the audio and the transcript are not synced. As a result if I create a snip then it will start and end on the wrong spot which defeats the apps benefit. I'm having to monitor the transcript and manually select the words or I want to snip to end. I would much rather listen and just tap the button resting assured that the snip will be accurate.
I've been using Snipd for a while. The app's idea is great, but the AI-generated transcripts aren't grammatically correct, and I can't copy them to my document app. Also, the 900-minute limit for premium users is not very useful. I would like unlimited access to the AI in the premium version and the ability to use it anywhere, including through a Windows app.
Amazing app for podcasts and other audio files. This is maybe the best app ever for language learning, with the AI features. I can listen, read along with the transcript if needed, get summaries or notes for later study, and of course speed up or slow down the pacing. So many features for other podcast listening and generating transcripts. Amazing.
Seems like probably a great app, but the onboarding experience is really bad. Why can't I skip it? It's forcing me to choose several things, one after the other. The only explanation for this I can imagine is that they really want to gather as much user data as possible. Hence my review.
Neat Idea, still needs work. Definitely the most unique podcast all I've seen but it has some functionality quirks that make it tough to use. There is no web app or desktop app to listen to podcasts outside of your phone. Android auto functionality is terrible. Unless you've queued up a podcast there is no way to select a podcast to listen to without grabbing your phone. Also Android auto it sometimes just doesn't have any sound so you need to relaunch a few times to get it to work.
One of the best, if not THE best apps I've seen or used. Absolutely brilliant design. UI is sleek. I love everything about it. The infusion of AI in podcast app blows my mind. Simply, this app works perfectly. Feature packed. Only positives, except for one thing... The cost of the premium plan is way too high. I could just go back to listening on Spotify, but really wish Snipd was cheaper so I could continue. Devs, please consider a cheaper monthly subscription?
I love this app!!!! Been using it for more than a year now. I have never found any other app that could beat snipd with number of processed AI episodes. Requests: Pls let us roll over unused minutes to next month. Also pls add trim silence and skip first few and last seconds like with pocketcast. Please collaborate with Audible or scribd for the audiobook bookmark. It would make you the best app ever!
The app is good, I use it mostly for the the transcriptions and I didn't find any other app that does the same but it has a lot of bugs. -The follower doesn't always follow. I've seen improvement in this matter but still, there's work to be done. -IMO the transcription controls don't make it easy to follow. You should add a +-5 seconds rewind/forward and the pause/start more centered.
Instead of showing you podcasts, and playing them, like a podcast app, they make you jump through all kinds of Hoops before you can even play one. After you select the podcast series, then they insist you watch their AI make a transcript and do this and do that. I've never actually hated to use an app, until this. I couldn't even find a place to select a specific podcast out of the series - they insisted on selecting it for me. Does everything else but just play podcasts. .
I can see lots of new features being added regularly which is great, but one basic feature still doesn't function correctly. That is syncing the currently playing podcast and position between devices. I can have 3 different queues on 3 different devices which really is unacceptable in this technological age
LOVE this service, I cannot stand listening to podcasts without it at this point... It has spoiled me entirely. The only gripe is around the dynamic content adverts messing up transcription sync, but the team is doing the best they can around that. I love it so much I paid for two subscriptions because I need more than 900min/month of transcription when I go on a completionist binge of long-existing podcasts.
My problem: the amount of content in my podcast inbox is overwhelming. As a result, I don't listen to podcasts to avoid that feeling of overwhelm. With Snipd, it's easier to engage with the content. I can start small, I can choose the level of detail to the one matching my current mental state and amount of cognitive resources. And exporting highlights to Readwise (and from Readwise to Napkin and Obsidian) allows me to make podcasts a well-integrated part of my PKM pipeline.
Editing my review because I think some things need to be changed. The app works really well, it's smooth and the interface is good. The only thing I don't like, is that the "Create Snip" button while reading a transcript is too big. It takes up almost the entire bottom portion of the screen. I just wish it was a small button off to the side, so we could see the transcript better 🤷 Also wish that the transcript text was a little smaller in size, because now it's very large.
It's AI, but stupid at something. I used to have Google Podcasts, but since it is phasing out, I've been trying multiple apps to migrate. So, I tried Snipd as well. I imported all my subscriptions, arrange them in categories, listened to all of the Podcasts, saved some snips, over a period of one month. Now, since I liked it, I made an account. Now, it should have automatically imported all of my things. But, voila! Everything is gone. So, I should do everything from scratch now. Isn't it stupid?
I have awful working memory. When I consume any kind of media which I intend to learn from I have to take notes otherwise I may as well have never consumed that media in the first place. This issue is glaring with podcast because I almost exclusively listen to them while mobile. Snipped allows me to easily revisit things that resonate with me and then I can export those moments to something like Readwise and bike extension Obsidian. It's hard to express the mental load this takes off of me.
Won't be renewing until they fix the basics Love the concept, AI and transcription well implemented, but fast becoming old news (with Spotify introducing transcription) and updates have been slow coming. Buggy but well implemented transcription, with AI summaries and chapters which complement the podcast experience. But for the premium price the player itself is simply not good enough, & full of issues and buggy... auto downloads very limited, sorting not saved, no way to organise podcasts etc.
Lots of Notes ... You * can't * have! Already been a user and was excited about the new AI additional features, so much so that I was happy to subscribe to the premium. But I paid a lot so that I could be used as free advertising. I can share a snippet w/ transcript and highlights... but no one can read it unless they login. I can see the transcript & summary - but can't copy its entirety. Great for accessability- but I paid for the use of these tools.
I love learning from podcasts, and have always been frustrated that I can't capture the things that I want to remember on the go. Snipd solved that for me. And then grew into something so much more. This is an amazing tool that can help you remember, recall, and share information. Learned through podcasts and a new and exciting way. They have thoughtfully integrated AI in a way that nudges you and helps you remember what you learn. Finally, they have a great team, very responsive to feedback!
I used to love this app and recommended to all my friends because it was so amazing. But recently, since they announced the pro tier (which I was tempted to buy, but didn't do right away) the free version has started having so many issues that I'm just annoyed. The podcasts don't load properly, it suddenly stops playing and keeps on asking me for many permissions. What seems fishy is that before the announcement of the pro tier, it worked flawlessly, without any special permissions.
This is a killer product if you consume a large number of podcasts. The ability to see the transcript and also triple tap youuear buds to capture the current conversation is a game changer. If you are a researcher and have to listen to a large number of podcasts in order to stay up with a topic, this is the tool.
Predictably, you are going to disappoint existing users by handicapping the app by removing previously free features instead of mostly adding new, premium only, features. But most of all, I barely understand the difference between free and premium: we don't want long podcasts explaining unwelcome news, please make a clear bullet point list of what is available in one and what in the other (a table would be even better). Can I even still sync to Readwise with the free tier, and create notes?
I genuinely like the idea of making this app to combining the AI and podcast app have been showed the cleverness of your team. But also it has some important problems. Some times the transcription runs out of the sync even though it had been synced with podcasts before it started. And can't distinguish the exact ADs in the transcription.
I really am sorry to say this but the app without premium is just an ordinary podcasts app now. I haven't fully used it before the subscription model when it was free due to me being too busy and was still working on my second brain. But two weeks ago I had to finish my whole system due to me being a student now, however I immediately noticed that this app wouldn't be helpful anymore for my productivity. I would like some student discount since 50 a year is too much.
Great app, really adds a lot of feature you didn't know you needed to a podcast player, but now can't live without. While there are some things, that would be nice to see, such as search function which looks at the transcript and shownotes of episodes not just titles, and a horizontal mode, would really be nice for tablet users, as well as a few bugs, the app is still new, and seems to be updated often, and none of the issues are a deal breaker GREAT APP
When the paywall dropped, I was on the fence about signing up for the paid tier. I liked the integration with Readwise and had about 12 podcasts but not enough to justify the high cost for using AI and snips couple times a month. Today I was going to sign up but when I started the app it forced me to create an account or continue without one. I didn't create one and after several upsell screens, I discovered it reset my account. ALL my podcasts and snips... gone. Well, now so am I. Shame.
AI features are a huge timesaver w/ Notion integration. There are still room for improvements (love to see the app roadmap). The 'elephant' in room is its premium tier. Consumers ofc compares it to other streaming services but for a price of a starbucks coffee per month this service is cheap. When looked thru biz lens, AI is not cheap. Only through scaling, network effects and reduction in AI computing power could it become profitable. So in my opinion this is the best overall podcast app.
The paywall has killed any usefulness this app had for users. Can't recommend anymore. ELABORATED AS REQUESTED BY DEV: The early adopters price is still way too high for an entry-level product. I only used this app to make small video shorts for my podcast, which are water marked with your app title anyways so it's free advertising to all my followers for your app. And now I have to pay for that feature? No thanks.
Was not the best, but was the go to app because of the transcription and snip features. I understand it is a business but we do not need another subscription... one time payment perhaps. The free version only gives 1 AI use per week rendering the app fairly useless. Also the integration with my buds (tried different phones and different ear buds) never has worked as well as others apps. Well back google podcasts I guess👍
it's really sad that the new free version is a big downgrade from before. getting transcripts (and included episodes) is the main reason I chose this app.. now the free version basically doesn't offer anything more than other episodes where you can also just "save/snip" parts of an episode (but without the text)
Editing this review to reflect an update to the app's cost for services. The gap between what the new free version of the app is, and the cost of the premium version isn't worth the additional 50 a year to me (this price reflects an early adopter discount as well, actual pricing was either 9.99 a month or 72 a year). The most valuable portion of the app for my use case is now paywalled, and I can just go back to traditional bookmarking and summarizing.
This is really effective for snipping podcast highlights. I'd like to see my own notes being integrated a bit better, and some sort of episode rating and recommendation mechanism for discovery. The AI takeaways work surprisingly well. An option for cleaning the transcript of fill words would be appreciated also. Will buy the subscription.
Exceptional app. Goes above and beyond in every category. Massive time saver if you are trying to take notes on a podcast. Does things I didn't know where possible. There seem to be a many users, who help highlight, and let you skip to, the best bits ahead of time. I find myself being able to sample so much more in a smaller amount of time. Great work
Podcast app of the future! The AI for transcription & notes is a game changer. It's simple to select the portion you want for notes. Select the text and it will start the podcast audio on that spot! Even if you don't care about notes this is THE podcast app to use! Export from the Saved tab has great options
When i signed in for first time there is a page saying" select 3 topics " but i cannot select anything. The app doesn't respond even though i am touching. Now I can't enter the app. Clear cache didn't work. I am at latest version also. Edit: I didn't want to but i sent them an email and they responded by sending info of some artists bruh how can i listen to them when I can't even sign in
This is a truly great app. I wanted something that would allow me to timestamp moments in podcasts and take notes on what I was thinking and it is perfect for that. The only things I wish for are arbitrary playlists (not based on filters, just any episode I want to add) and playlists based on tags. The social features are neat but I found it confusing to get started with them. Groups didn't become accessible right away after I joined them. Once you're in it's easy to get the hang of them.
"Couldn't play item. Check your connection and try again." Sometimes the transcript is off sync with the voices, even though the words are 100% correctly transcribed. It would also be good to be able to label Speakers and to edit the speaker for a paragraph, since the AI tends to mess up.
Phenomenal app! Makes my podcast note taking process much smoother and easier. But the snipping process could be better. I don't rely on the AI so it would be so much better if I'm able to start and end the snip while listening to the podcast (without having to go into the edit mode of the snip.)
Great app! Honestly, this could be the future of podcasting. The digestibility of podcasts in smaller bits, AI-generated chapters, there's a lot going for it. My main issue with this app is that on Android, the transcript seems incredibly unreliable. I have tried this on multiple devices using the same podcasts, and I have used iOS to do the same, and the problem seems to be Android-specific. But if this app expands to more users and they fix this issue, I will be very, very pleased.
A must have for podcast lovers and second brain app enthusiasts. The snip feature is amazing. I was so used to the poor experience of listening to podcast on Spotify that the app really shocked me. Highly customisable, awesome transcript and summary generation, rich integrations and export options. These features convinced me to manually migrate all my history to Snipd and I'm never going back.
When I opened the app the first time, I went to a page that said, "Select 3 favorite topics to personalize your feed." Then there was a list of topics. I tried clicking on the topics but they could not be selected. I am stuck on this page now and I cannot access the rest of the app or listen to any podcast. Please fix this part so that I can use your app.
This app has excellent snipping AI and export features, but falls short when it comes to intuitive design. The UI is too busy with things that not everyone wants to use, such as the Groups tab, snips Tags, Sign up reminder across the whole screen, big Feedback button, whereas the Favourites and Downloads are much smaller. No option to quickly delete in-progress episodes; archive just greys them out. No light theme. The snipping doesn't work on 3-button earphones, which is impractical.
I always wanted to discover podcasts that will be relevant to me, and this seems like a very good way to do so, instead of going podcast by podcast and waiting until the intro ends. Feature-rich and well designed, keep working! Hopefully won't turn into a subscription-based service.
This app is a game-changer for how I consume podcasts. It's all about the snip. The AI generated transcripts and summaries of snips is mind-blowing. The interface is intuitive and helpful. Now it's time for Snipd to show us Android users some love and include support for Android Auto. Apple CarPlay has been supported for almost a year now. It's so frustrating to have Android Auto in my car but no support for the app I use 99% of the time when I'm in the car.
I really like this podcast app, it's a shame more people don't know about it. I got it because I wanted AI generated transcripts to search through later, but I've since grown to really like the snipping feature. I love sharing snippets from the podcasts I listen to with friends, this is the only app I've seen that makes that easy. I don't use the community feature as much as I should, but it's a great idea too. Very cool way to learn from short low time commitment snippets and find new podcasts!
Best podcast app I have ever used till now.... even better than Spotify in some points.... Note taking is way more easier when you have headphones in your ears. Just a small little thing that sometimes podcast buffer a lot. Other than that best free and downloadable podcast app.... I just don't know why they have only 10K download. Hope to see u in Millions 🙌
Love the app and great concept. I love the ability to create snippets and save them from a podcast I'm listening to. The ability to share it on a social network type of feed is great! Love that it syncs with readwise and notion too! A couple of points of feedback: 1) A widget on iOS and Android please 2) Auto download new episodes from selected podcasts like other apps have. This will save a lot of time. I don't want to add something to the queue and then wait for it to download.
This is by far my best experience with podcast apps. I use it as my default app and I have been loooving it. Everything is perfect except the fact that it does not support Arabic unfortunately. I listen mostly to Arabic podcasts (English too but not as much). My "for you" feed is ONLY English content. Also, the AI generated snips do not work for Arabic content. Is there any possibility that will change in the future, or that is not in the agenda. Thank you.
While listening to podcasts, I regularly want to take notes or mark interesting bits. I was quite excited to find Snipd and switched all my listening to this player. Although I am not able to rearrange the order of my podcasts or set a podcast to skip the intro and finale, the ability to not only snip (and adjust the length of) portions of podcasts, but also to title those snips and write notes, more than makes up for those other features. Snipd also includes a decent AI transcript ability.
This one is better than Momento, but it's still super buggy. Frequently crashes and doesn't remember your place, refuses to play when plugged into the USB/AUX cable in my car unless I go into settings and manually choose which device it plays from, and a host of other little maddening things (like, there's a screen for in progress podcasts...and it doesn't show the episode I'm in the middle of). Devs have responded since previous review but no fixes.
I love how easy it is to take notes on a podcast seamlessly without going to another app. My only complaint is that my phone's screen doesn't turn off automatically when a podcast is playing. I have to do that manually. Fix that and I can easily give this 5 stars.
I love the app. Why the 1 star then? Well it doesn't work 99% of the time and the app crashes. I really do love the concept. I hope this 1 star review is noticed by the dev and he fixes the issues and I will Immediately change it to 5 star. Because the app is really great when it works. Also please let me continue without logging without google account, I would like to have an email account rather than connect my google account.
So far I haven't been having any problems with snipd so as somebody that's recently gotten back into podcasts I'd recommend it if just for the transcripts, although I'm no true power user so others needs may be greater. There are a few features that need to be added though, such as the ability to skip/trim silence, a widget maybe, and a way to skip forward from the notification shade without having to expand it. Edit: If there's a limit, I guess there's nothing for it then.
Simply amazing. They've changed the podcast game by resolving a means to access such an enormous volume of content out there. I use this app every day, multiple times throughout the day. Remove your other podcast apps. This is the only one you'll need.
The most unique app for listening to the podcasts, that I have forgotten to use a pen and paper to take notes from podcasts! It's like taking notes from a book just that the notes are digital and the book is audio. Just love the app so much so that I have never even skipped a day listening to the podcasts because I know I have notes to recall everything here. Thanks for such a wonderful app.
This app is absolutely incredible. Easy to use, decent UI, but the ability to snip, or take notes really, from podcasts without having to pull out a pen and paper is a game changer. I listen to podcasts while driving and used to scribble key ideas on a notebook I kept in my car, then would scan those notes later. Snipd let's me save an idea with a touch (sometimes I have to edit later to get full concept) and SHARE THOSE IDEAS VIA AUDIO. Transcripts and highlights are a bonus. AI is amazing. Luv
The ability to create snips, read a transcript, and have chapters available for any podcast has made this my favorite podcast experience. There are some small issues with each of the unique features it has, nonetheless, it's still early in development and has so much potential. The biggest, albeit still small, criticism I have is with some UI design choices.
This is the best podcasting app if you want to keep track of what you've listened to. With just the touch of a button on your phone or headphones it will save the audio and text of the section you are listening to at the moment. Now I don't have to worry about forgetting the details from the middle of an awesome podcast
This is the app I've been waiting for in the Podcast area. This app allows me to capture the important things in a podcast that I would normally forget because I'm driving down the road. What a great solution for building a second brain. Well done Snipd! My only request is some way to export to Evernote. Even export to Email would be fine and I could send it to Evernote then. My second brain is in Evernote. This would then be perfect.
I love how I can save parts of the parts for future reference and for taking notes. The AI transcription is not perfect but useful in most cases and it's smart enough to accurately recognize chapters. I've had a few glitches once in a while when using a Bluetooth headset, the audio would stop but only for this app. There are also some interface tweaks that can be made such as allowing a playback history when there are no Snips. This app is becoming my daily podcast listening platform
Really great app. Couple of suggestions though. Can you make exports that are over 1:05 min long when exporting to video? This'll help me share to others without using links. Can you also add auto queuing for new podcast episodes? Also, I never use the "For You" tab because it would seem more useful to me to have auto snips from my subscriptions rather than random podcasts on that tab. The "Your subscriptions" page should also have unplayed counters for each
Fantastic app. Best podcast app. I was looking for an app where I can just listen to my favourite podcast and I got not only beautifully design app. Utterly with extra features. Recording important parts. Having transcript (for some podcasts). Having highlights. And it's free. Wow
I really like the concept of the app. It's still not perfect, but it's definitely usable. Two features I am missing: (1) car mode, (2) searching for episodes inside a podcast. Edited review: searching inside a podcast is in fact available! Since I only had a single subscribed podcast, I missed the search box in the show page.
Literally zero issues with this app. It's become my go to and the snips are awesome. Syncing across multiple devices and exporting is also great. I would love to see a different ways to sort my podcasts or keep it on grid by default which it doesn't do for me. Otherwise love the app.
This app has a very good range of podcasts. The additional features such as snipping and highlighting are an original idea, and very useful. The user interface is well-designed and easy to use - particularly the search features, such as searching for certain episodes within a podcast. To add to making it easy to find episodes I would appreciate a similar option to search for specific episodes within the user's own "favourited" section.
Could be 5 stars if BT headphone sniping worked. Needs to have an alternative sign in option other than companies like google, which is currently the only way to sign in... Add signing up by email at the very least, that's basic. Otherwise it seems like a great app, the breakdown of segments and speech to text is very well done. This app has the potential to be one of the best ever.
Great app, with great UI and features specially the "snip it". I see that this app transcribes the podcasts which is now mainly used for sniping. What if a button is added in the "Now playing" UI which provides ready access to the transcript of the currently playing Podcast. It will be helpful for people with English as there secondary language, or trying to learn english.
Almost perfect. The transcription option is great. However, it needs to give more control over how to snip. For example, if my phone is in my pocket while I'm listening to a podcast and I press the "skip backward" button on my headphones or smartwatch to go back the app snips instead. There should be an option to customise the snipping hotkey. Also, a dark mode would be great.
If you are a hardcore podcast listener, you need to take notes, and this let's you do that. But also, you are likely to need to categorize you subscriptions in some way because you have a ton. Tags, categories, I don't care which, just something. Otherwise I adore this app to pieces, and it allows way more note taking than Momento.
