Download Smart AudioBook Player V11.9.6 APK Free, Mod Premium

It's good. Nice interface, nice features. Dev isn't greedy. Full version is available at very affordable price and not some subscription model. It kind of makes me want to make a donation to support the dev in gratitude for not indulging in shameless resource extracting practices. Thanks good guy developer.

Fantastic. Best player I've used.

great app. tons of features, intuitive to use. no bugs that I've seen and a very reasonable price for the full version

everything is paywalled

An app that does what it says, works as advertised and does an excellent job.

the best Audiobook player

Wowzers. I've been using this app for almost a year now and enjoy everything about it. I also purchased the lifetime license for it as well. Very easy to use, keeps track of my place in a book, and there are a ton of other features you will find that make listening easier and also some nice to haves that amplify the experience. All in all it's a great app and a buy.

My go-to audiobook player. 5 years later, still the one.

Impossible to find good free player

Best audio book app for a small once off payment

the greatest

it's ok, no fabourites and selecting covers is a pain

2020: App has some problems, but generally it still best option I able to found. Casting did not works. When I click cast in app and choose my Chromecast, the application just crashing Upd: I restarted phone. Now when I click cast and chose device, it tries to connect and show message "trial expired" in couple of second. I should not reinstall app, app should inform me that cast requires premium before trying to cast and crash. Upd: I am still using that app in 2026, I bought premium and happy

honestly the best audio book app I've ever used! the controll and functionality is well worth the price and the fact that it's buy to keep and not a monthly fee is an ever bigger win!! truly a passion project over funds first

My favourite app

this player is amazing and the Pro version is so inexpensive that it's a no-brainer!

absolute 10 out of 10 seriously an amazing app worth every penny.

I keep getting a message saying my 30 day free trial is over. I bought a full version a while ago. this is very annoying. I've reinstalled and I'm still getting the same error. I don't know what to do to avoid this

LOVE this player. A feature I would like to see is the ability to set the book to replay when finished as I listen to it while sleeping to block sounds and I wake up when it stops. It does repeat looked right past it. Thank you.

Best Podcast player for the money, hands down!

Updating after 5 years of flawless use, to say thanks for the playback statistics feature! I got lazy recently and didn't mark off my reads on my main storage drive. Without much hope, the books being long deleted, I thought I'd see if any details got stored.. and there they were. Reading stats! In all their glory. If only all software could be this sensible.

Only issues I have with this are the EQ sleep timer. I wish there was some sort of auto tuning option and the sleep timer should show up on the noti bar and continue outside of app but outside of that well worth the money

Can change playback speed in steps of 0.05!

HORRENDOUS, TRULY HORRENDOUS!

Buy it! This will be my best discovered app. I bought the full version and never have been so happy.

Great reader, easy bookmarking, fast sharing, works with my Galaxy Buds seamlessly, amazing format support, convenient widgets, robust cover art display options, best audiobook player out there. Update: lowered by one star as the sleep timer motion tracking has been more miss than hit recently, likely because I hadn't updated my version before installing fresh on a new device. Shake force is Very Low, motion tracking is Always, but I have to toggle the sleep timer a few times before it works.

Most useful app

Amazing

great app

Bunch of features, easy to use, and one time purchase for the full version. Great app

I have used this app for many years and have been very satisfied with one nit. It's quite easy to pick up the phone, accidentally touch the screen, and lose your place unless remembering to lock the screen constantly.

great app to listen to my German books!

coming back years later to this app because its probably the best one out there for audiobooks. I almost forgot about it until I found my receipt in my email but after trying some other audio book players I remember why I paid for this one.

Easy to set up, add books to, and use.

Really, actually good. No slop detected!

awesome player

Fantastic. I have been using it for 8+ years.

Rare occasion that I leave a review for anything good. Thank you good sirs.

Absolutely marvelous app. Much better playback experience than audible or frankly any other audiobook app I've tried.

the best app for audio books ever

Weird, I never saw something like this. E. g. I love sleep timer with ability to reset it by shaking the phone. I am getting asleep with audiobooks and this is the best way to keep listening wjile not getting away too far when I do get asleep

please let us use custom times for sleep timers

great alternative to audible

well worth upgrading to the full version! I use it daily.

seems to be really good, will use it for a while and review again. after using this app, I can say great job and thank you. I love it!

great app, works fantastic

This is a well designed app, and I like the flexibility for positioning and configuring the controls in the pro version. However, I don't understand the lack of an interface to automatically import audiobook files from, say, the downloads folder or any directory on the phone. After all, it's called "Smart" audiobook player. A simple dialog to enter the authors name and book title should automatically create the needed folder structure. I failed in guiding someone else in listening to a book.

totally worth it. it is probably my favorite audio book app

Great. Does exactly what you need.

I learned that I've became an immersion reader and ever since, I only use this app. I can count on one hand how many apps I've actually purchased but this app I've purchased on both my phone and my partners phone. 10/10. it's simple to understand, use, and a part of my every day life now. one thing that I discovered was searching for the book cover online. find the book cover that you'd like and let it sit on your screen for 30 seconds or so. you'll get a blue check mark in the images top right

awesome app. used it for years

perfect

best one

love this app for listening to Audiobooks. I set the sleep to be permanent and a quick shake resets it, perfect.

This is the greatest audiobook player. Love how easy it is to use. My only constructive criticism would be adding the ability to see chapter titles in Android Auto mode, and the ability to go to my library while connected to Android Auto. I understand the safety aspect of the last point, but I'm generally sitting in my driveway when wanting to switch to a different book. Otherwise a perfect app!

think it's the only app I've bought the paid version, it's very well done and has almost every option you could want. Only request I would have is to add a volume normalization option, boost low volume and reduce high. edit: thanks for the response! I haven't noticed if the volume boost equalizes the volume, or just increases all of it. I usually listen to audio books to fall asleep. Some books just have too much range between loud and quiet narration. still the best audio book player.

Smart Audiobook is not a good app for people using VPNs. Not sure why an offline book app needs access to the web to run the background process. Can you please add something to put the app in offline mode? Using VPN while the app is running and changing wifi at work breaks cell phone service till I force kill the app. been broken for years... I even bought premium.

Love it

always a solid choice.

works with Android Auto

Awesome app. I've been using it for years (anyone remember the old icon?), and it's always getting better. Edit: maybe now that it's possible for apps to have optional icons, the old icon can be restored as a customization option?

hands down one of the best decisions I made, this is the best player out there for audiobook lovers

Love it! Been using it for years, it's great! 😁

exceptional app

the rate nag screen made this 1 star review. I dismissed this 5 times now. so.. 1 star

App always remembers where you're at on playback of audio files: always. For this reason alone this Smart AudioBook Player is the obvious choice for this audiobook files such as ripped CD's. I use it every day. 🎉

This App is wonderful, other than getting used to the 1 folder per book system (which I orginised my library and was no longer an issue), it is great. It has way more functionality than Audible and can play older stuff I had. the playback quality is great and you can make playlists for the series you are on!

Very basic use. not worth the money. There are hundreds of free options with better functionality. Sadly all those 5 stars are most likely bots.

This app works fantastically. I tried the free month and was happy enough to pay a couple bucks to get it permanently. I've never regretted it and I use it most days. The 1 minute and 15 second interval FF/RW options are really handy. Unlike some other apps, the FF and rewind shortcuts work seamlessly using the buttons on my headphones and in my bluetooth enabled car. I could say a bunch of other good things but I ran out of space!

Excellent, very reliable and convenient to use.

Great app, have been using it for a few years now. Does the job, no visual pollution nor annoying popups.

great app love it. does everything I need an audiobook app to do and is well worth the 2 bucks once the trial is over.

Great simple audiobook player The paid their is actually useful

I have been using this app for many years and it does everything I need it to. I listen to audiobooks a lot. I appreciate being able to increase the playing speed depending on the reader. It is a worthwhile purchase.

The player is just awesome. Never had any problems with it. Only thing is I miss the original icon from many years back.

monopolized the play button on my headphones. I was ultimately compelled to delete

Please add a volume up contro in decibels to enhance sound beyond the smartphone's 15. The speaker icon does not work well. Something numerical for precision.

Super great I can listen to audio books, double click goes back 10s, triple click saves a bookmark with my bluetooth. Super fine.

it is not possible to go to a specific chapter without paying. as many other MINNIMUM functions expected of a decent audiobook player. DO NOT DOWNLOAD it is not worth it.

The paid features are way worth the pennies.

Absolutely worth it! Great app

Counterintuitive and frustrating. No support for network locations. No support for wearables.

good app, make sure to put each audiobook into its own folder

I have been using this app for years, always updating and always reliable. Many thanks to the developer

love this app for all my reading

Ive been using this app for quite awhile now. It takes some learning on how certain things are set up and how the folder structures work. But now I download all my audiobooks and just use this app

very good app. everything what you need to listen audiobooks.

perfect app

it's the only audiobook app that "just works"

best audiobook player. this was made by ppl who listen to audiobooks, for people who listen to audiobooks. you can tell the love that went into it. awesome features that google and spotify just dont have. highly recommend!

Great player to listen to local audiobooks! So good I actually bought the full version (and I rarely buy apps), love it!

Does well

will not play audiobooks I have previously owned

Deserved 5 stars

Best Audiobook player I have found.

Easy to use and all the features I need.

it just works nicely, it has for years, great example of don't fix what isn't broke

📢Feature Request ‼️ A full feature setting called, "Rotate Button" - would benefit from having timer control or remove infinite pause after phone has been face down for too long. Create a way to allow rotating the phone back face up and have audio resume, no matter how long the Phone has been face down. Currently the book stays paused indefinitely, if the phone is face down for over 5 minutes. I like to meditate and digest what I just absorbed for about 10 minutes. So lets update this!

best audiobook app there is.

great audio book player, and well worth the unlock for full version fee, I've hammered out over 20 long audio books with this app and I highly recommend it to all my friends. there only one minor issue that keeps me from giving it a full 5 stars but my wife doesn't seem to have that issue with her phone so it could just be a me issue

Finally, a player with a UI made for humans!

best player ever for downloaded audio books.

Absolute best audiobook app i've ever used! Weird format? works. Split into 40 files? No problem. The fact that everything just works is a lifesaver

The best Audiobook a player

super useful app. I really enjoy using it. The only note is I'd like to be able to navigate my library while also listening to a book irt.

The best book player on android.

It's very good. My one dislike is that there is no option to have the Play button below the cover as you would expect. Depending on the cover, it's not always obvious if the design is busy. Edit: I appreciate the responses and I see the various configurations that you are referring to but none moves the playback button from the centre of the cover. I prefer the traditional layout of all the player controls in a single line with the playback button in the centre of that line, not on the cover.

No longer works due to usage of now descope DocumentsUI (doesn't work on Android > 12) EDIT: still doesn't work for now, but updating review due to prompt response with attempted fix

Wants all files locally which is a massive hassle. no option to import from cloud.

Brilliant App.

good audiobook player for drm free audio books

Edit: This app is perfect, and they're quick to respond if you need help!

works well

took a little while but did update to full version on my personal phone

it's great!!

excellent player and works perfectly to remember where you are up to when reading different books. highly recommended.

clean enough ❤️

easy to use. no problem so far.

best apps to listen to audiobooks offline

great value

used this app as my primary audiobook reader for years. worth buying the full edition.

Worth purchasing, appreciate all the features, image of the book cover, reads multiple formats, sleep timer, essy to use and update with new books, takes a little work to get connected to android auto, but is great once connected.

Goated app

I have been using app as my only audiobook since I discovered this app in 2015. From one device to another, this audiobook player is the only app installed on each device that comes and goes. This app is 'irreplaceable'. This deserves more than 5m+ downloads. I love how simple this app is and everything just works.

excellent does what I had hoped

fab audiobook app. does exactly what you need it to do and keeps it all from getting over complicated

MORE UPDATES

Excellent app, does exactly what's on the label!

Overall not bad. Some things that need to be fixed are: It doesn't separate files properly and will lump them all together in the wrong order. The sleep timer stays on even after it runs through, has to be physically turned off. Back button does not take you back to the library, instead closing out the app.

Best player to listen to audio books!😃

the playback speed setting only works for 30 days. then you have to pay

still perfect after all these years of use

Best audiobook app I've found. I am hearing a kind of static/crackling sound occasionally when listening tho, any idea on how to sort that? Edit** This worked, had no problems since. Thanks. Edit 2: 8 years later it's still the best audiobook app. It just works.

great free player

Absolutely Efficient. To all the developers who worked on this, thank you. I'm buying the full version to support you.

issues with pausing that I can't find a solution for, otherwise I like the app, pity.

I love it , thanks for this app

works great for my needs

Perfect AB player. Definitely get the premium version if you like it.

Marks all MP3s as corrupt even though they play in any other app.

Great app. I do not buy many apps because I am cheap and usually I can make due with a free version. This however, is well worth it and highly recommended...

Good player. All needed for audiobooks are here.

Hands down the best audiobook player app I tried. Love the full version, it's absolutely worth it

couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get my downloaded book on here to play. edit: The team responded quickly and explained much better how to get it to work so now I'm good to go👍👍

Excellent app. Does what it says on the tin. No bugs to be found. So good I paid

Absolutely amazing! It allows you to import m4b files (downloaded audiobooks) a free month of the full version allows you to get used to how all of the features work, saves your progress, and for a few bucks (I use google rewards to save up play store money) you can keep the full version across any device! Love playing a book, turning my phone screen off and listening in bed!

perfect for listening to audiobooks

can't use M4b files, but everything else works great

used free version for a year, great app. only two quid for some useful extra features so I donated a bit more on top. just easy to use and lots of useful functionality if you want it too. 5 gold stars.

Does what it says on the tin.

best audiobook player very simple and user friendly to use . first time rating a app on playstore 5 star

People don't want AI, why are you adding unpopular surveillance software to an amazing and perfect app, I had basically no complaints, paid for the app and now they bring out this update, please remove

my most used app on my phone

Is there a way to stop it auto resuming books when you connect to a car or android auto? auto resume is off in android auto but it does it anyway.

I love this app. I do hope and wish for it to be able to choose this app as the default Audio source on my phone (samsung s23). My phone only recognizes the Spotify as the only installed audio app so my auto car connection is always only spotify. The phone does not recognizes the Audiobook player as an audio app. even if ill delete the Spotify which i rarly use, The car will be "not connected" instead of playing the book I listen to.

I love it. I've had a phone since phones came out, being I'm old as dirt. this is literally the first app I've ever paid for. I use it everyday because I love audiobooks even the free version is excellent, I've been using it for years, but I decided 2 bucks is worth it. it really is a great app.

great audiobook player, use it everyday!

Works really well

I can't get it to work. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Went from being a rock-solid, stable app into being basically unusable overnight. It not only lost my spot in the book, but now doesn't recognize 1/2 of the book that it was playing LAST NIGHT. What a joke, I'll go find a better app, made by people who don't ruin something good for no reason at all. Nice update, you absolute losers.

this is a great app! the full version is definitely worth the small price they charge. I am very happy with this app and it's features.

I love this app. I can't remember how I found it, but I use it every day!

No BS. App works great.

easy to use

works perfectly

great interface and functionality

Free version is good. Paid version has been worth it to me for the extra features like volume boost and speed control.

I love this app use it almost every day. Its one of the few apps I paid for because I use it so much however, im having an issue where the covers of the books keep reverting to no cover. I have to go back in individually to add them back in and idk how to fix that.

I guess everybody saying it's good but it doesn't work for me some reason it doesn't show any books

stop nagging

The best! 1) Saves book progress locally in the same dir as the books, so you can transfer all the progress with all your books without thinking about backups. 2) No ads on the free version, no constant nag screen. 3) I paid for it when I needed some advanced functions that most people don't need (I've used the free version for 8 years). And the price is more than reasonable.

works great

so easy to use

I've been using this for a few years now, I found getting started a little difficult, but now that I'm familiar with it I think it works great. I like the playback options and how it organizes books that are new, books I've stated, and books I've finished. the loudness option has been really great for audio that's really quite

I love this app. My only complaint is that the folder settings do not have the option to add a private LAN or external media storage.

the sleep timer is a tiny bit glitchy on my One Plus 15 but it's still my favorite audiobook player. c:

Best audiobook player! I tried many different apps and I find this one really works well. I have used it for years.

Easy to use, the paid version isn't necessary but I'll happily pay for it at the cheap price if for nothing but to support the developer.

lost my book a.d progress

Best audiobook player on Android. Zero complaints.

does exactly what it says it will, lots of nice features which are togglable to suit your preference <3 full version is only one time purchase for 2 dollars. absolutely no complaints

It keeps getting better and better. And the developer actually responds! It integrates with Sync3 properly. Sept 2026 - still loving it!

Excellent app

nearly perfect

Easy to use and great way to listen to "free" audiobooks you find online. Worth paying for the full app, 100%. I've used it to listen to over 1000 hours of audiobooks and it's time to give them 5 stars.

Good option for the price. I use it to organize and play mp3 audio books. Works well.

Whenever the phone connects to Android Auto it forcefully starts playing despite disabling it in Android Auto. Other apps don't have this problem. The support was swift but utterly unhelpful. The filesystem presentation is worse than average.

Best audiobook app. It's like the VLC media player of audiobooks.

Nice! Very, very nice! Thank you!

Best audiobook player out there, with features you didn't know you needed. absolutely worth the price, honestly its a steal. Cannot recommend this enough.

It's one of the apps I use the most. It plays audiobooks well and it has all kind of functions you need

Once you get used to the process of moving files to a audiobooks folder and putting the files in, this thing works like a charm. Very easy to use and intuitive with lots of functions. great app 😀

WHY in the world would you add AI to an already perfectly fine app?! Since the IA surprise and update, the "search the cover on the internet" option doesn't work as it supposed to, it adds screenshots. The app itself keeps closing and pausing without intervention. WHY??? It's completely unnecessary the AI addition, please go back, we don't need "innovation" and more junk. We paid for a simple audiobook app that just works.

App is Legit the reason I'm on android vs ios

Amazing program. Seemless operation and very easy to organize. Reliable to keep spot

keeps crashing after the update

A feature rich app for those downloaded audiobooks you get through Libation. Buy the full version, it is worth it.

fails on Android auto.

Forget Audible this is what you're looking for. Nearly flawless.
