I find it wild that you have to pay to sort by age on this app. I'm a young guy and maybe 5-10% of profiles are under 30. It's probably the single most basic preference you can have and paywalling it makes the app damn near unusable

Terrible app that clearly has a moderation staff that isn't on the same page, had a pic denied that was completely sfw simply because I was wearing a pup hood, there are plenty of others in their hoods on my local grid though, makes no sense.

in less than a week i got contacted by a faceless profile saying he's from dubai. i'm in south america and dubai is way more than 874km that showed as the distance betwen us. the scam artist is asking the same boring questions and showing me the same face picture everytime he contacts me. how big of a scam is this?!? well, we'll find out soon in the news because no matter how many times i report it here nothing happens and scam artists like this are just waiting for the right time to attack!

Decent app Despite what others may say. i found the app to be decent. i started using FREE version and although not perfect, it does let you jnteract with others and see who has recently viewed you and woofed you. and has basic search facility. after a few weeks i proceeded to pay for service. this allows you to see whos viewed you in past and more search features. . Personally not come across too many bots.. i think at the moment anyway, they have struck the right balance between paid and free

Graying out/ blurring messages 2 hours old might not be the best way to entice a customer to buy your product. It does not instill a good feeling in a potential buyer.

The number of scammers I've run into is awful. Some are very obvious. I reported them. It makes me feel the app is an unsafe environment for people sincerely trying to find a decent person. It's really disappointing. The app is not a social community but a business making a profit. Don't pretend it's not. I'm deleting the account and uninstalling the app.

the "moments" its alerting me to watch are all obese guys showing their dicks. that is the new feature. you have to look at fat old guys dicks to clear the alerts you get an alert and just not a message or a woof, it's a damn "moment" bs. just a pop up ad for scruff from scruff. oh look a notification from scruff. did someone message me?.NO. someone looked at my profile. notifications no longer mean anything. this ap is actually getting worse than grindr.

My 1 star rating is more of the quality of men on this app. It's no different from all the dating apps. It just proves that we live in a shallow world. It's worst on here though. Unless you have six packs, no one will be interested in you at all. The nicest someone can say is, "thank you" and you'll never get any messages from him afterwards

Privacy rights violations for android users. Discloses your actual full birthday info on their iOS side and wont disclose it to you. You must block it in your profile then type your age into the profile. They had to manually block my info from the DISCOVER section which android users cant even see. Really not worth using. You get more messages from people 100-1500 miles away, and most are spamming bots. Definitely not worth your time or efforts.

you need to get these chatbots in control. you don't allow free and endless blocks so the spam bots get away with blue murder. this will kill your app. either give us unlimited blocks, or sort out the bots.

Crashes seem to be resolved, but despite Scruff's response, there really is no way to turn off the spammy "You have a lot of moments waiting" notifications. I'd post a screenshot if I could. Still not addressed after a literal app update.

I've been hearing about this app I joined and I've found my dream man, so let use scruff

billing issues and lack of account changes via app issues. although CS did get back to me they were unable to resolve 2 simple issues: do not auto renew and double charged. as a paid member you still get a ton of solicitations for prep and other useless advertisements in your inbox. what part of no advertisements don't they understand for paid membership? ADDITIONAL as of 7/26, the match feature doesn't work. shows members I swiped as not a match. also shows members as on that are actually off.

Of the gay apps I’ve used, Scruff and Jack’d are my favorites. Jack’d wins slightly for diversity—especially men of color, a real advantage in Montana—but Scruff is far more cohesive and civilized than ad-choked Grindr, and vastly preferable to Sniffies. My main gripe: blocking should be unlimited, not Pro-only; I’ve pruned half the local garden and would like to continue. Overall, my years on Scruff have been very positive. Scruff isn’t the problem; my watering hole just needs better wildlife.

The newest feature of "moments" is INCREDIBLY obnoxious and even as a paid member they won't let me turn them off. I get "moments" from guys half way around the world that I've never talked to and don't want to talk to. The worst part is if I don't acknowledge each and every one of them, and every stupid pic they shared, I get a notification on my phone every day until I do! I don't get this with woofs or messages and I hate it.

Too many features are locked behind a paywall and the membership is too expensive.

Randomly suspended my brand new profile for "Violating general guidelines." I have no nude photos, all of my photos are exclusively of myself, there are no problem terms on my profile, it was less than 12 hours old and I had chatted with maybe 4 people. No explanation, no opportunity to correct the supposed "violation," just immediately shut down my profile and gave a completely vacant reason why. Completely unreasonable.

After the last update, the app no longer functions. I can't stay online. it crashes and that's that.

Another update, another removal of basic features unless you pay. Developer replied to push the paid, again, pretending it was an old limitation. The app used to be much better but each update adds new limitations. All of the above, plus now swiping back closes the app instead of closing the ads, sometimes 3 or 4 times in a row. of course the developers will just try and say all the good features are available for a high fee.

Can't even create a profile. I just get a pop-up saying it won't let me proceed. And what's crazier is how you also operate Jack'd; same company; same UI design; but they get to retain more of their basic features. Very shady and discriminatory I think.

Recent updates to Scruff have ruined it. The "Moments" feature was annoying and fairly pointless to begin with, but now "Nearby Moments" is causing my phone to actually crash. Reinstalling Scruff doesn't work as the app itself is now flawed. No response from Support. For the love of god, get your act together Scruff!

The app is okay. It's not bad in any specific way but the limitations imposed which can only be cleared out by paying feel a bit forced. You can't even access your previous chat messages or even previous chats of others if there are too many chats in your inbox. I get that they're trying to run a business but things could be better.

I'm trying to renew my Scruff Subscription and bizarrely the App comes up with a "contact Support for assistance"...message. After sending a screenshot with this message to someone (@Scruff) called "Vanessa" Six times...Zero response. This is abysmal and Scruff Management should look into this unacceptable level of Support.

Hopeless support. The instructions to stop payment auto-renewal and delete account do not corrrespond to what displays in the instructions. Tip: never subscribe with auto-renewal. I received my own inquiry as a response - without anything from Scruff. I have lodged a second request...Nothing! Do not use this app.

Android routinely crashes. Screen goes dark, app closes. Location is often way wrong. Recent update by AI and Apple centric the issue?

customer service is horrendous for subscribers. Tickets sit and don't get acknowledged or resolved. been sitting in a ticket since last year with no way to fix an issue.

I’m done with Scruff. They rejected my photo as “nude” even though nothing was exposed—just my chest and low-hanging jeans. Meanwhile, I’ve seen white men showing their bare butts with approved photos. That double standard feels discriminatory and racist. I deleted the app, canceled my subscription, and refuse to support a platform that appears to enforce its rules differently based on race.

To add to below: Now I boot up the app and get full frontal and back nudity. No, not in DMs. Just right there in Trending Moments. Lovely feature. I thought that was against ToS? Ok I will leave you a review because you begged for one. I pay for the app. I have the toggle to not get ads. I get ads in addition to your review begging. I don't want ads. You are not Disney+. You are not going to get me to continue to pay you to double dip and show me ads.

Good for Meeting Like Minded guys

Scruff has a bot problem. Most of the contacts I get daily are from fake profiles from another continent. The app is not worth paying for in smaller cities as they have smaller communities. This was app was better in the past.
