sucks if you lose your account. I lost my google and there are no other ways to login or recover it. So I created a new account and logged in on a different pokemon go account and it kept telling me to download pokemon go when it already was. Great concept, but it needs to work properly.

the Raids don't show up on the map only if you go to host them do you actually get to see the things

annoying to force for a different way to sign in vs pogo

Waste never show events properly

Systematic error with GPS positioning. I am unable to start a raid even when in 5 meters from the target irl. The logic of queue is a complete circus. I would perform better matchmaking with my own hands

resell back to Niantic. scopley is trash 🗑 😒

ignore the 1 -3 star reviewers. if your not trying to abuse the app and you play with your accounts properly linked it works like a charm, it even has max raid battle groups and other events, also has local groups it suggests based off your location. whatever issues there was has been resolved. I have no idea what its like in other countries but in the USA its working fantastically, so far. this review is subject to edit should anything change.

This app does not remember your log in and keeps asking for birthday and agreement to agreements. Is it so technically challenging to keep us logged in?

The app cannot fulfill its purpose. The location tracking on android devices is so bad, the in-game and website check-in functions are more reliable and faster.

make gif pfp plz I begging 🙏

Campfire is just the most frustrating thing because other players don't know about it. it doesn't send notifications etc. and it should of been rolled into pokemon go

this app is hard to use and probably incomplete.its also almost impossinje to get it to lunk to your pokemon go acount.

No availability in Turkey is insane. Do you guys, like, hate money?

No longer a US business. Saudi Prince Salaman(Koshoggi killer) now profits from you. Think before you spend your hard earned $$$.

you should have join remote max battles just like raids

it feels a little scuffed and confusing to navigate at times, but it gets the job done and after you learn how to host and join raids it has a much larger range than I expected. Just queued into my first Buzzwole raid ever and it paired me into a guy several states away in the USA and I got a shundo Buzzwole so I can't give any less than 5 stars. Excited to use my new guy as I learn how to do PvP!

Either turn this into a Facebook-like social media app but for Pokemon Go or just give us the options to message each other and update our status on Pokemon Go. It's that simple! Because this app is so bare bones in features. I prefer not to use it.

This is meant to be the official way to do group content in Pokémon GO, but it doesn't list legendary Max Battles even when you're standing right next to them, and it doesn't let you pick them from a list if you try to host anyway. It'll show Max Battles on a map, so the app *should* be aware of them, but you can't host via the map. I'm less than impressed.

it's just a very poorly made discord rip-off. I love the way Pokémon Go encourages physical activity and socialisation, but campfire is not it. I feel like right now it's not even worth the storage usage. had to consent to all of my usage data, personal info, location etc.. be stored and used for stuff I don't know. (yes, the app told me that the permissions it requested were necessary and my consent was a requirement.) what's campfire gonna do with my phone logs, contacts etc..

breedable liberal girls

I don't like islamics, I'm uninstalling it, I deleted my account also.

Worst app, just for name sake it has groups, neither of the group is active.Than this poke genie is far better for raids

Few apps have as many weird bugs going on as this one. From awkward group and meetup link functionality to a non-functioning group overview (groups not showing up so you have to enter through meetups, and not being able to remove groups by leaving them) to a poorly set up integration to lacking notification setting (please let us suppress @everyone spam without turning off everything else, this is a standard feature in other apps). It has a lot of potential though.

awesome

Even simple group members search doesn't work...

Awesome, the raid queuing is not often used but during raid events it is often that you can get a lobby of 5 easily. Everything is fine with this app in other aspects as well.

good way to make friends

the button in the pokemongo app doesn't work properly, and the campfire app ALSO doesn't appear to actually show what's happening in the area: PoGo said cryogonal dynamax raid on edge of the map, but it wouldn't come up on the campfire map for me to see where it was properly, literally on the campfire app it doesn't exist also campfire blows itself out of proportion with super-sized blown up text and boxes meaning you can't actually see most of the map. no way to contact support.

This app would be better if it was actually presented in Pokemon go in way so that players are more aware that it actually exists to communicate with players. also needs to accurately show what's in current raids at gyms.

terrible if you use desktop mode in newer androids. Window pops on top of others every 2 seconds. bad bug

The app was broken months ago and nobody seems to care. Every single screen prompts for your location for no reason, the button does not do anything.

Why did this get separated out of Pokemon GO when it was working fine integrated?? I'm not downloading a new app to do something I should be able to do natively. I'll quit Pokemon GO before downloading a second app that doesn't even work well.

as a rural player separating the two apps has made it dramatically more difficult to find raids on Pokemon go.

Holy Grail of Apps and how they should work and operate.

Please delete Niantic, such an horrible provider ! Raids dont work, app is laggy, game is full of errors stay AWAY !!!

this app is great, it's helped me a lot with Pokémon go. Just a random idea though, you guys should partner with or buy map quest.

It would not let me sign up. Did not Get this

useless now. can't even paste the trainers names in time to invite people to the raid. wasted a pass and my time.

Genuinely awful on every metric imaginable. works so slow, doesnt work as intended (has features that are unable to work) no-one near me within an extremely generous radius has posted this year bar 3 messages in total. so that speaks for the activity of the app and how well it does its fundamental purpose (awfully) don't even bother installing. i would rate this app less than a 1 if i could

My city's Pokémon Go group lists over 300 members, but the latest message is from over a year ago. The Worldwide Pokémon Go group lists over 2 million members, but shows me only one chat channel that is completely empty and read-only besides. I have attempted to use its raid-hosting feature a few times. None of them got any players to join the party before the raid expired, despite players allegedly being in the queue. Niantic's name and logo aren't even on Pokémon Go's title screen... Defunct?

Still logs me out every day. im missing notifications if im not logged in and don't know it. edit: 2 months later same problem.

I just found out about this app recently. after not playing pokemon go for about 4 years I needed new raid friends. i was able to use this app for twenty different mega dragonite raids, and not a single person, dropped out of the raiding party when I hosted. This was the Godsend app I needed in my earlier years when playing. I will be happily using this as I keep playing

would rate lower if possible being forced to download this trash just to be able to rem raid with randoms when it was already a feature for years is so stupid

you wanted ratings for splitting this out of Pokemon go, you get what you deserve! forcing people to install a second app to play raids decently is a disgrace. if -5 stars was an option, you'd get that

Every time I open the app, it makes me tap Enable Location even though it is already enabled for the app.

only good for Pokémon go raids

The app is still unavailable for official download in Ukraine region along Pokemon Go, but Monster Hunter Now and Pikmin Bloom are, the Campfire functionality is available with Ukrainian accounts through APK or different regions stores/networks. Releasing the game in Ukrainian stores will allow users to download/update the app without problems, allow them to build bigger community and became ambassadors and create events for players to socialize and be a part of bigger community

badassssss

👍👍👍

The app was working fine until the last update. Now everytime I open the app it gives me an 'Enable Location' button. Location is already enabled but I still have to click the button to proceed. Please fix. Thank you!

I like it however the problem it thinks I went to a different location.

next to no one qued for raids, only seems to have the 5 star raids so if you want a 4 star raid you're out of luck

Notifications for when someone posts near you are broken. They also notify you when any friend, anywhere, makes a post. Please fix this.

slow

event planning with this app has been a disaster. Deleted it promptly when we determined it wasn't going to be viable. Use Discord. much easier to work with.

It is limited for some regions and I was not able to download it

this app has never worked as intended

when it was integrated into pokemon go it was useful, I could reliably find remote raids... now that it was removed its like nobody is using it. it went from 3 minute wait times to wait times that never end and if someone does connect they decline the raid and its back to standing in line with 1 other player 99% of the time.

one of the worst apps... Location is on Network is high speed still says can't find location

cinfusing

community day, I cannot check in because the app doesn't recognize my phones GPS. instead of playing i am stuck in the app. thanks for nothing

the in game version used to work effortlessly and I used to be able to look up other event meet ups in far corners of the city. now it is impossible to use except for close raid meet ups. App needs this ability back, search different areas of the map for Raid meetups.

10 out of 10

great app to play with Pokémon go find friends find perks find anything you're looking for with Pokémon go

Good for finding Pokemon go events and monster Hunter now.

When I filter for Mega Mewtwo raids, can't see any unless I zoom way way out, at which point the gyms are too close together to reliably select a specific gym or navigate through the options.

rubbish and confusing app

All I wanted was a solgaleo raid, took 2 hrs to finally get 1! Every solgaleo raid I saw and joined, the host quit and got sent back to search, the host didn't even send a join request, it was already full and wouldn't let me join, or it was just me and the host and I wasted a remote raid pass

Who do I contact for compensation on gas for your app being wrong I've probably have gone through 500 dollars in gas driving to raids that your app says will be there then when I get there half of the time there's no raid or it's a different raid boss. I don't think that's right you guys should be liable for that. we follow your app like it says I have screenshots to prove it so do I contact a lawyer?

This app is so broken. I saw the 3.2 rating and tried it anyway, and it really is unusable. you first have to pick your birth day/month/year, the only months listed are january-july. My birthday is march of 1996, and the app said i am ineligible. im 30. what am i not old enough for? immediately uninstalled. if you arent going to make this app work thats fine, but put these features into pokemon go directly so we dont need a second app.

Get this if you want to actively waste your resources and time. Joined 2 remote raids, both failures, then the app kept sending me to a raid that would not start. Wasted 90 mins of my time, failed the event (time over) and wasted 2 remote raid passes (which aren't cheap!). Honestly, you'll thank yourself if you don't waste your time, money or energy on this trash.

Everything Niantic does is awful. why can't you access the app directly through Pokemon Go? what's the point??

Not showing the newest type of raids.

This app seems like it was made for a child that is too young to use it. please hire someone better so this app is actually useful. PLEASE make a chat option that can be easy to use when others are online and make posting something easy.

This app is great overall! 4 star because linking my account basically had no instructions, but I do reccomend this app if you want to join community events in Pokemon Go.

TIME SQUARE MEWTWO

it's definitely gotten better over the years. it's a bit laggy when it starts but it's good once the map loads

trying to attach my Pokémon go account to this app. but when i try it says I've already got an account connected. really pisses me off cus I've been trying to do this for ages now

Terrible and doesn't function. This app has been out for years and it is still just as bad as it was at release. The devs have done nothing to improve matchmaking.

too difficult just to log in and it feels messy to navigate. but its fun when you can finally meet up. have only found one geoup with this app. how do I log in after it kicks me out? it keeps asking for my ID when im trying to log in and I put it down but it says that its taken, of course, by me.

Absolute dogshit, teams you with a group and then they drop out just before anyway

disappointing. i need a 2nd app for pokemon? they keep moving the campfire button in the app- it wasnt broken?? why not leave it?? when I find it, its gone again and there's no other means to access it from pogo app. ridiculous. Hopefully it works.

Won't let me check in for events, even when standing on check in spot. Worst app ever! Stupid that Niantic is forcing us to use it now!

This app doesn't work well with the game at all. I tried to just look at a gym from the app and it won't let me because I'm too far away? How else am I do to remote raids? I never see any flairs for miles not even in other countries or states. I don't think this is working properly at all, there has to be someone playing at least.

I literally downloaded this app today for one purpose, to join an event on Pokémon go (the mega raichu one). I was literally standing in the meet up spot (and yes, my location was enabled for the app), and yet it said I was too far away. And the only other option to join in was to have the community ambassador sign me in. However, I couldn't do that because I joined a little later, so she had already left. If this app can't even accomplish the one purpose it has, then what's the point of it?

forcing us to use another app for this game is ridiculous. first you move half of the shop and then you make us have a second app. hopefully it doesn't glitch out like pokemongo, I don't have any confidence in your products.

this app is very great

ineligible? I put my birth date in Jan 1 (1997) and it says i am ineligible

Did you receive my comment on a meet ticket through one of your games. Pokemon go. I would record where they go even if location is off. Also unless app isn't monitored by parents and someone is playing it without supervision could you document it. charmander said it would be nice.

I can barely use the app. It keeps telling me I need to enable location permissions...which I have. I've tried force-stopping the app, logging out, even reinstalling. Nothing works. The app is unusable with this basic functionality disabled 🤷

very easy 2 use 😀👍

super broken. creates problems that shouldn't exist. why this isn't in default Pokemon Go is ridiculous

the map is very inconsistent compared to in-game

not the most user friendly. if it can't figure out how to use it... and I can't... then it doesn't really do anything.

Just keeps on saying I am already in queue. What queue? Why? I did not join any queues. Even if I did I want out of it. How can I do that? This is annoying and prevents me from hosting raids. Where can I see that queue and cancel?

I can't get past a white screen, so it doesn't work. Used to work fine in the past.

This app could be great - but what's the point if you can't invite people to shadow raids, max battles or enough people to super mega raids? And why does it only give you team-mates locally instead of worldwide? Some small changes could easily make this 5 stars.

i really do enjoy the appin my opinion, it is pretty easy to get the hang of. works great.

Crashes constantly. it needs an update every 3 days it seems. it is great with getting the connection from your community if you can get it to work.

It's not a banking app so being signed out all the time is unnecessary.

I app doesn't even work. asking me for my location, asking my date of birth and won't even show me more than 5 months. sort it out, pathetic.

Apparently not available in Ukraine. Bummer.

The app will not launch. it's been weeks. fail.

Why was the team up feature moved?? It used to be on the main page/map but now you have to search for it in list then scroll down. Makes 0 sense aren't raids the whole point of this app???

worst, pls just add messaging options to pkmn go app.

When events are active, the raids and gmax/dmax battles are wildly inaccurate. It's only other use is to message your friends on pokemon go, and no one uses it for that reason. Needs work, or just start over.

This app is a wonderful resource. If you are trying to see what's out in raids ect you can. you can message your friends. Also you can join meetups.

consumes a lot of storage and battery power

this app would be great if you could request to join a raid from somewhere in the world AND IF IT EVER REALLY WORKED. it's always crashing or it's the white screen of death whenever you click on it in Pokemon go

não funciona direito

sekarang udah gabisa tau lokasi gym dari game lewat aplikasi ini. jadi males mainnya.

wayfarer svcks

five

it won't let me sign in. I already have a Niantic Id and it keeps promoting me to make a new one, then says the ID already exists. useless.

very disappointing. I installed in the hope it would give a few more options like e.g. filtering remote raids in pokemon go, but it only gives a chat room for groups which I'm sure is handy for some and I might have used this option at some point if it wasn't for how the app takes over the campfire menu in pokemon go. you fire up the app alone and it knows where I am. I fire up pokemon go and that knows where I am. I click on the campfire button in pokemon go and it can't find me?!? Uninstalled!

UI is atrocious, data/location controls are non-existent and raid qeues are unbearably moronic. If Niantic invested 1% of its profits into making pogo and campfire into quality applications, we'd have a 10x better experience in both. This company does not deserve to exist.

visually attractive

Terrible Moderation, Niantic uses this to app as a reason to ban accounts. Simply changing your profile picture can get you banned... Messaging people can get you banned... Someone in your raid gets mad? They report your disrupting/ruining the raid, gets you banned... use PokeRaid or the other BETTER services. AVOID CAMPFIRE.

The first thing the app did was ask my birthday and then not let me pick the month i was born

white screen big hasn't been fixed. can't log in or open the app. logging into ambassador stuff is impossible

the app negates its own purpose in not notifying when groups are active or you receive messages from other members. I've checked all the settings, there's literally no reason it shouldn't be notifying me of activity.

won't even let me sign in

Have tried repeatedly to contact and get help. Either I have to invite my Pogo friends to chat, or then try reloading to get signed in with Google, Facebook or Niantic Kids - of which I repeatedly get a message that says "name/email already in use" - yes! it's me! Very unreliable. Just wish it worked right because I'm going to GoFest in June '26.

app stopped working. it is just a blank screen.

Fix the white screen bug!!! It's been years!!!

Campfire is easy to use. It's a shame more trainers don't seem to use it.

Can't even sign up December and a bunch of other months cant be selected

got randomly logged out and won't let me sign back in.

the app wanted far too many permission

the app sucks the App Needs to be Updated hasnt been updated Since September 11th 2025 and it's May 4th 2026 right now.

No gmax raid, no shadow raid, no nothing and people still use this app. Come on bro imuse better ones people.

Support is horrible, always has issues, the community ambassadors who they put in charge are horrible bullies but they refuse to take action when you report them!

This app is broken now. It comes up as blank now. I made sure I cleared the cache. I also checked that I have all permissions enabled for this app. TRASH APP!!!!! this app has not been updated for long time. if they do not update this app. It will be removed from Google play soon like the old apps get removed. I am on pixel 10 pro XL and on latest android version.

sorry, we can't find your location

chetacheta Stay away

Until they add Shadow Raids, let's just give them 1 star

include pokestops as well

I only get a white screen now. Buggy app.

this app is great when you're visiting new places! it's a nice way to meet people when visiting new places and have fun.

I have a pokemon go account but it will not register it

App sucks, I can see raids in a town over but not the town closest to me. Why are there no Pokestops on the map??

get ready to spend money... catch rates are horrible...people start to host then just walk away and leave you waiting. not for me... emjoy

doesnt work more than half the time. its always "cant find location" "cant find location".....a location based app that cant find location, good job folks really, gold star!

I downloaded Campfire for Pokémon Go, but it was connected to my old account, and couldn't connect it to my account now... At least it had my old account. I deleted it because I was 😠 and 😢 because I didn't know how to connect it to my account now!?!?...

Trash app. App doesnt work with max battles. wont let me do anything

Really cool until I realized you can't host shadow raids, is there a reason for that or has it just not been added yet? Either way it sucks.

Still learning

very very very slow

good

Horrible that this is an app made by Niantic that goes along with pokemon go. So many times where I've completed a raid but it says I am stuck in queue so I can't host another one.

most of the time it never loads

its good. I got many new information like raid event and also get lot of friends.i have suggestions regarding app - in gym it in white colour please mention the colour of the gym so it will help for more players to identify and play effectively.

It has very limited abilities, and doesn't communicate well with the apps it is intended for.

App used to work great but recently has unattached itself from pokemon go. If I try to access it from the GO app, it sends me to Google Playstore to install it or open it. I can't even share catches with my friends anymore. Whatever happened to it recently messed it up.

Things dont load, or keep getting error message to reload, and still doesn't work. :(

Fix the bug where nobody can't share any post

Awful UI and way too much AI oversight. AVOID if you're able!

Bring back Pokemon go official San Francisco raid page. It's ridiculous they removed the Pokemon go official San Francisco raid page that was a global meeting spot that was the only thing worth using this app I'll be removing the app if it's not back soon. Worthless without it . BigKingRob242 signing out 😶

doesn't connect to pokémon go anymore. when I go to post it send me to the download screen

not working now but when is its great

would love to see this expanded into Rocket Raids. it's hard to get enough people to show up for a rocket regigigas, let alone anything else.

It says I'm ineligible to use campfire, no explanation or reason, I can access campfire from pokemon go but can't use the dedicated app? No wonder no one uses this garbage

this app needs to seriously punish those who waste everyone's time when hosting raids

needs a dark mode, way to bright

it a good app for pokemon go

If you're using this for pokemon go, don't bother trying to host raids with it. You'll wait for 30-45 minutes for 1 person to queue up, by then the raid will have ended.

I mean it's built in communication for Pokémon go. Would be better if it was IN Pokémon go but it uses the same accounts so good enough. But it'd be way better if we didn't have to swap between apps constantly to use it. App swapping can cause gps issues and get people banned on accident

Creepy app that constantly tracks your location, camera and data, and on-sells to 3rd parties. Also provides groomers access to children through local groups and 'meetups'

The app's a bit slow. I like that you can host raids. Sometimes your friends aren't up for it, so it's a cool backup. Too bad we can't host shadow raids, though.

when you go from maps to list alot of times you have to keep reloading when that doesn't work you have to close it then open it again causing you to lose access to raids.

keeps crashing and is always buggy. cant even host shadow pokemon raids locally. odd.

annoying. it always opens to some popup about a Meetup I'm not attending. just show me the map!!!!

awesome.

accidentally typed in the wrong date of birth and it keeps saying I'm in an ineligible to use campfire this is ridiculous

what's wrong with this app why can't I install it

Can't open Gyms through Pokemon Go. this was the whole reason I downloaded the app but I've been informed this feature has been disabled.

Good for looking up raids and finding meet-ups. bad for everything else it does. the flare system seems nice but the range to use flares is way to low and also you cant flare on dynamax raids. and the raid finder que and host system sucks and no one uses it because of it. the UI design is confusing and sometimes unresponsive and buggs out often. and many more compliments but not enough words allowed

sorry we can't find your location sorry we can't find your location sorry we can't find your location

absolute garbage app. chat is impossible to use, remote raid just send you back to pokemon go for nothing as the raid you wanted to join is not on proximity map. total waste of time

great

not good in the slightest

What a great place to interact with the community. I've gotten groups to hang out and raid with that we're just so welcoming and inclusive. It's such a great resource for information, too.

"ineligible to use campfire" but won't let me sign in to an existing account

was stading on the raid, campfire shows that I am on the raid, but does not allow to host a raid. writes move closer to raid went to another place, same thing. did Everything according to recomendations and troubleshooting, Nothing works. reinstalled app, all permissions allowed, same thing.

very slow with high loading time. it could really be a lightweight app.

overall good but they need to add hosting shadow raids it is a vital part of the game that has not been addressed

You wait hours for a raid after clicking as it says you can wait and be notified then aftef you wait and load it back up only to find out it backed you out waste of time was better back then. Also constantly having to reload page for location despite having location on the whole time like what?

I can't access the map as it is saying I need to get Pokémon go and I already have Pokémon go.

I would have given it a five, but can you add being able to host rocket raids?

can't sign in.

it would be nice if the app connected faster. im sick of waiting 6 hrs for 3 people and no raid. expand the search to global please to fix wait times for rural areas

Just std garbage too much to run smoothly

very glitches. Never finds my location. Half the options don't work. worst thing to happen to Pokémon Go ever. Put all this back in the game itself.

It doesn't work I signed in, but when I'm in it just says install Pokemon go but it is installed, don't install it's a waste of time.

I got all trash notifications but not DM notifications. There was no option for DM only, and I had never seen a DM notification. What's the point of hiding it?

good

should have dark mode

easy to use

It was excellent but on my new Pixel 10 Pro, it's just a blank white screen, won't load at all.

inaccurately displays which pokemon are at power spots. 0/10 0/5 0/100 no good very bad
