I'm not sure what happened after this last update but my phone will not connect to my tv no matter what I do. I went to the FAQ on the app and followed all the steps but it just won't recognize that both my phone and tv are on the same wifi so it won't connect. Uninstalled and unimpressed.

it's pretty good I do recommend this app if you have a TCL Roku.

Not letting me connect to my own device It's telling me that it's not available on my network. My phone and my Roku device are on the same network.

Every time I go to a different app, Roku remote stops responding. I have to force close it and open it again. It's a pain when I need to mute for a call. Uninstalled and started over, still does it.

10/30 seeing a new wallpaper as a "selection" was my first clue it was messed up...Again! 10/17, 4/18, 4/6 Still a messed up Roku app! The TV and remote work fine. The APP stopped "seeing the connection to the device". Don't know why. One day it worked the next no dice. So frustrating. I have tried all the ideas and fixes. Nothing works. Like a previous issue, I predict it will get fixed out of the blue. So I won't waste time on tech support. They are useless 😠😠

the remote doesn't stay connected to device I previously was watching in when I open the app again. I have to click out of the remote section then go back to the remote section to use the remote. it gets old and annoying

Annoying connection bug after multitasking Love using the app, but switching between apps breaks the remote connection. Whenever I jump back in, it doesn't respond until I completely close and reopen the app. Hopefully this gets patched soon

Extremely handy device and has worked well for years now. recently it stopped working with my Bluetooth speaker. That's why only 4 starts. Sure hope that gets fixed!

it use to be good but since a recent upgrade its horrible. everytime you use it. it disconnects the tv. so when you go to change a channel or volume you have to reconnect. even if its 5 minutes from when you used it. now it wont let me connect any tvs and its on all my phones and family's phones. so its not just mine. I absolutely hate the app now. unfortunately my Great Dane ate most of my remotes and I have all Roku tvs. Roku itself is awesome if you dont use the app

Ads aren't that bad, but you know what is? How dependable the damn app is. Good luck doing anything that takes more than 5 seconds, it'll just stop registering your button presses.

I have to back out of it, choose the device, then I can work this remote EVERY SINGLE TIME I USE THIS APP. Not very useful when it won't just work when I turn my screen off and back on.

I've had roku devices for a few years now and been screen mirroring quite often, since the last device update this option no longer works, I've checked all the settings and they are ok, a further roku purchase is definitely not an option at the moment.

it disconnects after watching for a few minutes. it used to work a heck of alot better but after the newest update I have to exit and open the app up again every time! my kids always loose my remotes so it is nice having this option but 1st world problems, it is annoying having to open and exit the app so often. other wise it would be a full 5 stars. and when I try to post this it wont...

The app stops working if you switch apps even for 1 second. You have to close the app and reopen it to get it to work. its so unbelievably frustrating and you know the devs are aware of the issue and yet they have been unable to fix it for MONTHS. It seems like they just dont care. It's that or they are just incompetent. How can they not solve the issue or at the very least have the app reload itself after you switch back to it. that would be better than having to close it just to reopen it.

This app is great, especially because roku remotes are easy to lose. I would however like to suggest a feature, shortcut widgets! you could launch hulu and/or HDMI inputs on your Roku tv, from your phone!

I submitted this review in 2021 and it's still the same! Nothing has been fixed and I've had several phones since this so it's not the phone! I used to love this app but the more I use it the more it frustrated me. If I turn my phone screen off and back on the app no longer responds so I have to close the entire app out and open it back up in order for it to work. This is annoying. It shouldn't be happening. No other app on my phone has ever had this problem until this one. Fix it. Do better.

Here recently I've been having issues with my wifi which I can only guess has to do with the Roku app. When I connect to the TV with my phone through the Wifi, the Wifi cuts out. So I have to reset the Wifi and hope it reconnects because often it takes twenty minutes to get the Wifi back up. Something about this app my Wifi does not like. I guess I'll have to set my TV to one volume because my regular remote's volume buttons don't work anymore.
