I cant find anything

I hate that I had to set up an account in order to see the cost or what in app purchases there are. for anyone else, $30/yr. $4/mo. Deleted on principal. show costs up front, even if they aren't expensive.

Pocket Casts is by far the best podcasts app out there. There's not a whole lot of ads. It's UI is my favourite among all the podcasts and it has so many neat features like choosing specific settings for each podcast instead of universal settings. There is a reason why MKBHD and David both recommend this app. I love it!

this latest update is a disaster. it stops a lot when in the background or the screen is off. it has to be that because as soon as I launch the app from the background audio starts immediately.

keeps cutting podcasts off with a few minutes left, or replaying parts of podcasts I've already heard. happens too often and on too many different podcasts to be a coincidence

Too many buttons, way too confusing. Up next queue is too confusing and too many ways to do the same things. Deleted account i can't use such a bad app. Get a better design team.

Really good for learning English.

I used the app for a long time, and it worked fine, but there's no excuse for all the data harvesting and tracking. It's a podcast app, and that's all. Using something much cleaner now

When will developers understand: *I* want to use *your* app, *NOT* the other way around. No, I do not want to be badgered endlessly about your latest update or new feature. And I *certainly* don't want to auto download two freaking days' worth of podcasts by default WHEN YOU ASK ME TO SUBSCRIBE TO PODCASTS IN THE ONBOARDING. I get it, you're developers, rockstars, *disruptors* - but for goodness' sakes, get off your high horses and think of what your customers actually want.

Pocket Casts used to work flawlessly but I'm not a fan of the latest release. Folders make it less user friendly and downloaded podcasts and up next are now buggy and unreliable. I unarchived and downloaded several year old podcasts on a recent trip. When they mysteriously disappeared the first day, I made sure to actually test play each after doing so again the following day. Then when I got on the road again, they had once again disappeared.

REAPONSE: Not sure why I would need to reach out to customer service - either this is possible or it is not. Your choice to implement. REVIEW: Works for podcasts. Wish it could be set to default to the oldest episode or play the next episode that succeeds the episode selected. It always defaults to the most recent episode, which is annoying for serials.

Great app - I love being able to organize my favorite podcasts into folders. The UI is solid and if you upgrade to premium, logging in immediately loads all your apps on a new device.

Search in Ukrainian works terribly. I keep getting offered podcasts in ruzzian, not to mention they're absolutely unrelated. While it's impossible to find a specific episode of the Ukrainian podcast.

Good app, with good functionality. I just wish you could set which page you wish for the app to default to when opening and customise the bottom menu bar.

unfortunately the app has gone downhill lately. Episodes are skipping around, restarting, being cut off by ads and it is really impacting my listening experience. I've been a paying user for multiple years and it's really frustrating to have the app that I've loved stop working as it should. Hopefully they fix whatever the issue is, and if they do, I would be happy to change my rating back to 5 stars.

Edit: Have been enjoying this app more than I thought. would love to be able to group downloaded episodes to their own series instead of just a listed playlist. Nice app. Smooth clean UI, more than others. Unfortunately it looks like not all episodes are available on some podcasts which are available on other platforms. Kind of a bummer and almost a killer for this app but I'll try it a little longer and see what happens

App has multiple identical icons and keeps adding more. I cannot remove the duplicates without uninstalling it. Otherwise excellent. Edit: additional app icons are now gone. Thanks for prompt fix.

this app has been great but suddenly sucks while using the casting option to my home speaker. just stops randomly and shuts down entirely. so frustrating... why does a podcast app have to be so complicated? if this doesn't get troubleshot soon I'll be deleting!

doesn't upload full episodes. episodes skip around. poor quality all around, but they want you to pay?!!! hahahahaha

This is my favorite podcast app. It's easy to use and works great with Android auto. one of the podcasts I listen to mentioned that 90% of their downloads are from Apple Podcasts or Spotify. I prefer to keep my podcasts separate from music on Spotify (makes it easier to navigate in the car), so this kind of surprised me, and inspired me to write a review for Pocket Casts. Give it a try, there are other options!

will still download over mobile when you click on WiFi only.

Playback just stops for no reason...even with background battery and data usage allowed!

Too complicated. I can't find anything. The rules don't seem to work.

One star because while the app is great the performance is only getting worse and worse, I caught it using like 700/800MB of RAM, for a podcast app playing basically audio in the background that's too much, it must be a memory leak for sure, for now I think I'll look for a better alternative.

Very often some podcasts don't load, while on Spotify they work perfectly fine.

Would give it 5 stars if they would run more ads and make the ads even louder than they are.

This is mostly a good app. The only downside I'm finding so far is that it eats up a rather considerable amount of storage space that not even video streaming apps eat up as much.

Update from 1 to 3 stars, still using it with a new phone and it's working better, but some episodes abruptly end with several minutes left. Now it's just an insane amount of commercials, some of my subs have episodes that occasionally are only 1 minute, but the episode is 5 minutes, 4 minutes of commercials. not sure if it's the podcast or Pocket Casts or both, but unacceptable.

perfect podcasts stellar vibes like non other! they met so perfectly and now we know, even, notable damage to the UAE. we will need to take care of ourselves amongst our brothers and sisters

a great audio podcast app .... only one issue. Casting to Google home mini fails about 30% of the time. work around is to stop and end the app and start it again. the home mini does not need to change anything. example after a failure to cast in pocket cast, I can go to YouTube music or play books audiobooks and cast successful. it seems the failure is with the Pocket cast app. thanks for a really good app with this small issue. sincerely WEBjr retired software test engineer.

Some podcasts just don't play (BBC global news) No next button, you have to grab the bar drag it to the end then press skip a few times. Getting it to play the latest first was hard to find. Probably fine for weekly podcasts but a bit of a pain for news feeds. other than that...

Used to love this app. However, over the last year there are times when sections of a podcast are cut out or they replay back on themselves. It has gotten worse over the last few months. Have confirmed that when playing the exact same content via another player, this doesn't happen.

I've used this app since 2016. I bought it for when they had the lifetime purchase years ago for both Android and Windows and they gifted me gold when they got bought out. it has been the most used app I have by far and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who listens to podcasts daily.

best podcast app I've used on an Android

its good, lots of free features however almost every episode of any podcast I watch, at some point the audio glitches out and goes back like 20 seconds. very annoying.

Skips often

The previous glitch has gone. The new one is the In Progress playlist doesn't show my most recent episode. I listened to 48 minutes of it, but apparently it's still not "in progress".

absolutely love this app, been using it for years. Important to note though is that it automatically deletes downloaded episodes once you complete them. little bit annoying.

Really wanted to keep this app but I've had way too many playback issues. It'll randomly skip ahead, especially towards the end of an episode. It'll also randomly skip back to random points. Some bits of my podcast I still haven't heard because it literally wouldn't play the last bit.

Crushes Spotify. Was frustrated with Spotify's podcast "functions" (more like malfunctions), so gave this a try. This app did not disappoint

No longer pulls up relevant up-to-date podcast feeds. It is stuck on feeds from 6 months ago. Useless and broken app. Typical Google.

a wonderful app

changed to this after being a loyal playerfm user for 10 plus years. it has too many issues now. one gripe, why limit downloads to just 100, please remove that limit or have a smart download button so that I can go in to series with hundreds of podcasts and click it and let it down load in batches of 100 or the next 100 that are not downloaded, or even let the user set the limit. I have about 7 language podcasts and some of them are 4-500 so it is needed.

Previous issues with responsiveness resolved. Now dealing with an intermittent issue where pods to be downloaded are shown "Waiting for wifi" when the phone is clearly connected to wifi. Easily fixed by cancelling the download and re-requesting the pod be downloaded... but annoying nonetheless.

update: I uninstalled. reinstalled. Still doing it. I used pocket casts for years... but it's days are numbered. It keeps randomly playing without me even opening the app... it also will play two episodes at the same time. There was no way to stop one of the episodes... I had to restart my phone. what is going on?!?!

I will never stop missing Google podcasts but this app is a great substitute. Very intuitive interface. Easy to search for new content. Works well with Android Auto.

latest update deleted all of my downloaded episodes

app keeps stopping playing despite me telling the tablet to not optimise battery. player fm continues to play no issue so it's specific to pocket casts.really frustrating can stop after 5 mins or 20.

Better functions than BBC sounds

Loved it until it got glitchy. Loved the visual interface and smart lust features of this app so much that I've been using it consistently for 6 years and paid for the extra features. But this is good bye since it's become more and more glitchy over the last year; skipping and repeating parts of episodes then ending them before they finish.

Used to be good, deteriorated over time. Bloated, terrible and unclear UI. For some reason there's multiple different settings to disable auto downloads, and despite disabling it in all those places, it will still auto download episodes. Things that took single clicks now take multiple. Tempted to ask for a refund.

podcasts often skip/repeat sections

subscription page seems to be removed from Android Auto... I have to pull out my phone while I'm driving... I'm looking for a new podcast app.

Can the podcast 'channel' list come back to Android Auto please? One big list of all Episodes of all your favorite Postcast 'channels' or a search function with a keyboard interface is not very safe in the car!

Automatic ads load in at strange times and push audio during playback causing episodes to end abruptly or jump backwards.

i absolutely love this app. it's very easy to navigate and use. the functionality is clear and concise. I urge those of you iso a new streaming app for podcasts to install POCKET CASTS as with any service there are ads however a budget friendly premium option if avail and well worth it

Android Auto issue - playlists and ability to choose podcasts recently disappeared. please fix.

I've liked this app for years and it's been in my primary podcast player but the recent updates completely broke the Android auto interface and you can't actually pick any podcasts to play anymore. it automatically shows just the last few updated won't show any other interface so it's kind of useless until they fix that.

doesn't have go to next/previous item buttons. you can long press the skip forward 30 seconds button to get the option to mark something as finished but then it goes to the "next item". you might be wondering why that's in quotes? well that's because the "next item" isn't actually the next sequentially next episode, it follows your sort order and defaults to newest to oldest, so the next item takes you backwards. how ANY of that makes sense and is the built in configuration boggles my mind.

Every one of these podcast apps in google store are stinking piles of garbage.

i have been using this app for several years now and recently, have been having the issue where i start an episode, and it drops me in the middle of the episode with no warning, and it sometimes will repeat the final ten minutes of an episode at the end

how about you let us organize by oldest first, and let us play the next newest sequentially, instead of automatically going backwards. like I'm on episode 2 and episode 1 auto plays currently. it should go to 3.

I love this app, the only issue I have is the player controls in your notifications area (swipe down) on my Motorola refuse to populate. the space it would take is there, but there is no buttons or controls to be seen much less interacted with. makes for difficult quick pausing and starting

I'm using a VPN and lately downloads and even streaming have been really flakey. Now it seems to be completely stuck. Just tried from your website, no problem, seems to be a problem with the app 🫤

I want a podcast app. I can get podcasts. We good.

Still plan to use this for the time being, but it's been buggy the whole time I've used it and it's not getting better. Certain podcasts can get up to 15 minutes of time cut from their shows for seemingly no reason (the Magnus Archives are pretty much unlistenable on here), and recently the app hasn't been letting me skip ahead or back in episodes. There's an error message about "invalid file headers". I've googled fixes and tried several but nothing works. Getting irritated.

Subscription model lost me. bye Update 21/09/26 Changed rating from 1 to 2 stars because they restored the no ads version for those that already had paid for the app. There is no real value in the new subscription model for the average user. Why would you pay $66 AUD a year for a podcast aggregator app to remove ads when the podcasts put in their own ads anyway? But it's only $1.27 a week.... yeah yeah, so is everyone else's subscription dreams of steady income.

Awesome podcast app! Switched over a couple of months ago from a different podcast app and this has been a fantastic replacement.

Nothing like paying for a lifetime subscription to an app only for them to later unroll more tiers! Get it together, you greedy dorks.

plays my podcasts episodes in the wrong order. I change the sort and every time it changes the episode sort back to default I.e the wrong order it's so annoying and makes the app more or less useless

Idk what update you just did as of 16 Sept 2026 but fix it! Now podcasts won't run without the screen being on. If I wanted that I'd stick to YouTube! Stop trying to fix it if it isn't broke

Wedging unnecessary AI features into the app. Now looking for a new podcast app that just plays what I want without adding slop. "We understand that changes to the app can be frustrating for some users..." LMAO what a response. I went to AntennaPod, BTW. Just as many features, no AI slop.

Been using for several years and still like. Still wish it would use the podcasts artwork as a giant play/pause button. Slipping and sliding your way through the UI usually works well, but when you're being active this makes a simple task like play/pause challenging. Hopefully the fix is forthcoming ASAP (I wished 2 years ago, so not holding my breath). Also, want to say that just reading your update notes makes me smile!

I really like this app. The only thing missing for me is an option to clear the badge for a specific podcast, like Castbox does. When I select the “Only Latest Episode” badge, I would like to be able to clear the badge without archiving the latest episode. That way, I’ll always know when a new episode appears.

it's easy to use

I would give this app 5 stars if so many of the podcast episodes didn't cut out or go back in the story or give me dead air so often. It seems to be especially egregious for the podcasts "Spooked" and "Lore". I don't know if it's a problem with this app or with the way the podcasts are uploaded but I haven't ever had this problem streaming podcasts before. I'd love if this was fixed so I could give this app 5 stars.

Great but it freezes. once or twice per podcast it seems now and on some podcasts more than others it will stop playing and won't restart unless I shut down the app or select another podcast and play that and then go back to the original. seems a pretty recent book as it didn't happen when I used it in the past. I have cleared the cache and reinstalled and it still has the same issues.

I have used the paid version since 2015, and while I don't like the ads, I appreciate the need to monetize the product. I do have on suggestion, though. On some occasions, streaming podcasts "go dead", often an editing error by the podcast publisher. It would be great to have an adjustable timer that would force a podcast skip if this happens.

had to find a great Spotify alternative for podcast found this and I've not looked back once do wish their transcript was as smooth as Spotify's but everything else perfect

I decided to try out this app after reaching my limit with Castbox's increasingly intrusive ads. There's much to like: it has a clean, intuitive UI; allows users to create multiple playlists; and has decent customization options. But I noticed something bizarre today that has driven me away. This app, seemingly at random, replaces some podcast episode titles with AI-generated titles of its own. Incredibly off-putting and nonsensical. I'd rather use an app that doesn't do such things.

Have been using this app for years and years as preferred podcast app, but recently having increased playback issues, with the most common being the app either entirely skipping the last 3-7 minutes of a podcast and starting the next one in the queue, OR in the alternate, the podcast making it to almost the very end and then jumping backwards and replaying the last 3-7 minutes. Extremely frustrating.

Absolutely destroys battery life with background processes or something else... I wouldn't know if that's the exact issue because instead of sending a 1* review I attempted to contact support only to be fed to a useless AI agent. So congratulations here's the 1* I tried to not give your app. Maybe the app is causing issues.. maybe not but I'm not running your AI gauntlet to try and figure it out for you. Massively disappointed after trying to handle this without resorting to a bad review.

Cool for podcasts (only)

I switched my podcast over to this app once Google podcast shut down. Initially it worked well, however in the past few months I have had consistent issues across multiple podcasts. this includes skipped audio, duplicate audio and podcasts being cut abruptly short. I reached out to customer service (AI) nd it was unhelpful so I will have to uninstall and find a new app.

Lost a star for constantly sending user data to whoever "Functional Software" is !!! Great app, I use it more than any other app on my phone and listen to podcasts every day. The only thing I dislike about this app is that I cannot support it by "purchasing" a pro version, there is only a "subscription" that is not worth the cost to me.

I want to love this app! the problem is it constantly pauses by itself. I have tried numerous possible fixes but nothing seems to fix it. this is an extremely annoying issue. if it can be fixed this would be a five-star app

great app

Great but buggy. I have been using it for many many years, i actually bought it when i used it first and nothing to complain about. But latley the app has stopped playing when I am playing a game on the phone and wont start up when i hit the play button on the headphones. It is annoying and i cant slide down the thing to hit play again because it is not popping up on thatt. I have checked every setting and nothing works. Please fix.

I was quite happy to support this app by paying the $12.49 per year... but to then jack it up to $65.99 per year is just outrageous. Definitely won't be renewing my premium subscription, that isn't inflation, that is just greed. edit: Never did get a response to my email, so just cancelled my subscription

super buggy. It frequently skips backwards to parts you've already heard but then it also skips forward a lot over things you haven't heard and lately it's developed an awesome new habit of skipping the end of the podcast. I'm so done with it. this thing sucks

What a pleasure to use an app dedicated to podcasts. Having used Spotify for ages, I don't know why I didn't move to using Pocket Casts sooner. The ability to trim silent moments, set up per-podcast rules for playback speed and customisable auto-skipping the start and end of podcasts are my favourite features.

its a good app but for some reason, it seems like every other episode i listen to will start playing, and then skip back 30 seconds. not sure why this skip back keeps happening, but its happened on multiple different podcasts, so its not an editing error. I think its a pocketcast bug

auto organizes newest to oldest. will revert back to that for every show if you put the app in the background. no option to set global defaults for playback swapping. off to find a different player.

Pocket Casts is AWESOME for me, coming from Ivoox. I would just like for the subscription to be less costly 😁

Issue first : when I close and reopen the app while listening to a podcast, I am unable to move the progress bar, like the sliding bar which you slide to change the timing of your show. this is a very recent issue didn't use to face it before. Other than that, it isbl the ABSOLUTELY BEST app out there for podcasts !

Audio will sometimes skip to random points and replay previously played sections of the audio. Happens at least once per podcast for every 3 or 4 listened to.

Recent update broken as the app now refuses to follow "Add to Up Next" and preferred "Position" rules. Auto download works just fine.

It used to be great, now it's switched on metrics on your listening activity even when playing locally downloaded podcasts. It doesn't work when offline unlike before because it wants to track your every activity. Another podcast app going down the route of selling personal information.

Works great, except after pausing, the playback notification disappears, and you can't resume without opening the app.

Too many ads. And NO they are not inserted by the podcast. I tested with a friend who will NO LONGER LIST their Podcast with this app because the APP is inserting too many ads.

Best app for podcasts I've found. Easy to discover new podcasts and download episodes for offline listening.

There is a playback bug that will cause the rewind button to constantly be triggered with no input. Makes the player unusable. Support steps do not solve the issue.

Problem with video podcasts: 1. When navigating inside app, playback position skips 2. Cannot change speed of video podcast (i.e. to play it 1.5x speed).

Overall a great app, and love that it syncs and has support with Android Automotive. It's lacking a major feature, though, which is sorting episodes by rating or popularity. finding a podcast with hundreds of episodes - pretty hard to know where to start without this feature.

Unreliable & Unusable. It keeps cutting off podcasts early, or most recently cutting a 1-3hour podcast into 6mins. It's not listed as the trailer and found the proper length one elsewhere. Find a different app, this one is a massive inconvenience in its current state.

After experiencing a dozen apps, I found this one. It is really amazing and a cool app containing news, audiobooks, fictions and many more. Free version is also great having no annoying ads. Thanks a lot as I am using this all for my English language improvement.

Utter frustration that I'm told organizing a list is possible (i.e. downloads) but not how to actually do it. I've even tried adding items one at a time, but alas, this app disorganizes it with no way to put things in order.

Ads pkayback ruins the playlist order. the ad will play during an episode and when it's done, it won't go back to the same episode. terrible experience

Almost perfect. However with one big issue for me that keeps it from 5 stars. I want a PERMANENT setting to sort podcasts from oldest to newest. By default it is newest to oldest and every time it get in my car to listen to podcasts, it always changes back to default. I want a persistent setting that I can change that will stay oldest to newest on ever podcast by default if I set it that way. If that setting exists, then I've not found it.

The app crashes and closes every time trying to cast or some times between episodes. planning to move to another app.

the app is brilliant. both my husband and I use it, but we have both noticed recently that it will just stop randomly. both android, but different makes (pixel and a Motorola) and on different networks.

Over the past few weeks, random podcasts not only end abruptly,rewind for no reason & shut off whenever they want, but you always blame the podcasters for the issues. I'm getting randomly, abruptly placed ads - plus clearly targeted * local to me * ads - These podcasters aren't wedging in random ads in random places, that's stupid, so stop telling me it's them ! not to mention, yall won't even address the many playback issues. 8/6/26- yeah a podcaster in Poland knows where I live. LIARS.

Horrible service. Got forced into using their "smart folder" and it took away my stored layout. There is no easy way to undo or reverse it and now I've lost my quick access layout I've used for years. Why? you've made the experience 1000x worse and I'll now need to spend a hour reforming my layout. Another business that doesn't know it's customer.

when i am trying to listen to a podcast from the start, everytime an episode ends it skips to the latest episode. ive gone through settings, there is no option to change the play order, or if there is its not easily found. there is no contact or help in the app. i will be getting rid of this app when i find a new one. *edit after response i have tried that, it reverts to the standard setup when you close the app. this app is so counter intuitive, i really dislike it and will no longer use it

this app used to be the only one that kept up to date on my favorite podcast. something changed in last few days. the podcasts are at art19 but not on pocketcast. update. I forced it to work. I hope it doesn't happen again

not sure what's going on. The past few days podcasts are not updating quickly with lags of several hours for new episodes to appear. it's becoming unusable for daily podcasts. hoping it will be fixed otherwise I'll have to switch app

streaming podcasts just doesn't work well. supposedly if you download each it's better, but routinely the last several MINUTES of my podcasts are either cut off or repeated, or sections randomly repeat. super frustrating

Wow, 13 years and Pocket Casts is still my go-to, and they're still improving and adding features that make using it easy. Original 3/15/13: Upgraded from the free amaz0n version to the paid market version. Definitely worth the $3 to get it in Market. Much better than Listen.

The previous version was great. Now it just plays for part of a second and stops, leaving a notification that can't be removed.

Users who paid for the app should at least get it without additional in-app self-promotional ads. I paid for this app in 2016 and at some point they changed to a subscription model. Fine. But they excluded the users who paid for the mobile app from any compensation, and made it worse by adding nag screens to subscribe for more features. And dark UX patterns like asking to turn on a feature, followed by a prompt to pay extra for that feature - so it's just a double nag screen.

had to change from 5 stars to 3...well I have used this app for a while and I really liked it but now for some reason some of my podcasts no longer update even though there are new episode out. not sure if it is the app or the podcasts that are the problem but the other app I am trying out gets the new episodes so sadly it looks like I will have to change apps.

My favorite podcast app!

All you want from a podcast app, except that searching for "Company of Heroes 3" results in podcasts about Tupperware and selfish businessmen. Also on long episodes (> 2 hrs) the app become unusable due to frequent crashes. I have not yet received any response to my 2 reports via mail, as suggested by the Devs below.

Lately the app has been very buggy. It won't consistently archive episodes after playing and today I found almost all of my podcast were archived. It took an hour to recover my playlist.

Today I discovered that All Things Considered has no new episodes since the fourteenth of July 2026. What's happening?

2026-07-27: uninstalled last weekend. After the last Google update, app shuts off when I turn off the display. this makes no sense. this app doesn't need specific battery access. it doesn't need to check for content other than once in the morning. it doesn't need to constantly check for content, sitting in my car all day looking for a signal.

A few months ago the app started using over 15G of data each month in the background. Yes, I had background use disabled. Last month I didn't use the app at all just to see what would happen and it still used 12G in 7 days. WTH? Uninstalled, had to get it off my phone. Otherwise worked fine.

I absolutely love this app, can always find something new to listen to, and it's so easy to use, so I'm really frustrated to find it's developed a glitch where it plays for a minute or less then just shuts down. Please fix!!! 😭

Background battery drain is inexcusable. Time to find a new podcast program.

I think the app is easy to navigate and to understand, and for that I would've given it five stars. However, the app continuously stops playing (despite the scrubber at the bottom saying it is still playing), as if it's played on mute. Online solutions say to check battery optimisation and to clear cache, neither of which helped. The only (temporary) solution I've found is rewinding to right before it cuts out, force stopping the app, then playing, which allows it to work another ~20 minutes.

Have loved it for years but recently having playback errors and issues on Android, have updated the app but still happening. Tries to connect to Chromecast all the time and stops playing when my phone goes to sleep, never used to happen. Any tips welcome

Not the greatest UI — assembling a queue of appealing podcast segments with its ever-changing toolbar seems non-intuitive (or even obstructive) sometimes. Deleting added pod segments after you have changed your mind is time-consuming.

I am a big podcast listener and this is my app. Like that I can stay synced and listen on my Windows desktop.

Used to be good, but these days it's all about showing multiple popups about trials and subscriptions and features that require subscription. I opened it because I wanted to look if it could play local files, and quickly realized why I switched from this app to a different streaming app.

I was the biggest fan of the app until this AI-generated "chapters" started to happen. As both creator and listener, I find it repulsive that podcasts are put on GenAI without the creator's nor the listener's consent. Please either remove this or at least, do the decent thing and add an opt-out option.

I paid for this app. But now I hear ads at the beginning of podcasts. This isn't what I paid for.

Really REALLY annoying that they have got rid of the player on lockscreen. otherwise great app, so I waited for another update to fix the issue - no sign of it. If there's no lockscreen player then why not just use Spotify? will try and find a new app - very irritating
