excellent app for our daycare

this is exactly what my daycare needed. it can be a little slow with pictures but everything is great!!

Not hard to use and so much more organized!

I love how this daycare keeps you updated of your babies day though out the whole day. the staff is friendly caring and grows bond with the children. I highly recommend

Daily tool, love it!

this app is horrible. Everything you try to do requires extra hoops to be jumped through for absolutely no reason. I sign up for an account and it all defaults to my wife's email and phone number. it makes it impossible for me to pay my daughter's tuition without getting the codes from my wife. what a colossal waste of my time.

I like that Playground puts everything in one place, but I don’t like that anyone I approve to pick up my child must download the app, create an account, and have a pickup code. Especially when they are not associated with the school and are complete back ups. Previously, approved people could simply show their driver’s license at the front desk, where staff verified their name and photo against my authorized list. I felt that was simple, secure, and much more convenient. It is irritating...

It's fine. Our daycare was bought by new owners and they use this app. We had ProCare before and liked it much better. ProCare has location turned on so parents can sign in their child as soon as we pull into the parking lot. This app requires is to take our phones inside, scan QR code then actually SIGN IN with a signature. Every morning. Every night. It's a much more cumbersome process and if you forget your phone in the car, no sign in or out option is available.

Thanks to the app, I can see my grandson every day. Even if it is on the other side of the world.

very user friendly. our daycare have gone through several different systems and I think this one is the best. I appreciate that the pictures are large, clear, and easy to download to your phone or send to another person. Also very easy to chat with teachers and other daycare staff.

Frustrating and terrible. Ease of use/user friendly is not there. Notifications are awful. Sends a brief sound and flash on the screen but then disappears. If I am not immediately with my phone, there is nothing to show/remind me there is a notification. Seems very cluttered and messy. Definitely liked the option much better we had before doe our daycare communication. and if you're going to offer payme t processing, stop passing that back to users. awful

My daycare I work at went from procare to playgrounds and I personally haven't grown to like it. Maybe because I dont fully know how to navigate it and also being the food program specialist, trying to do meal attendance is an absolute NIGHTMARE

I love following my granddaughter's class activities! And, seeing her progress, especially since I live a few hours away.

great app but one major flaw. on check in there are two methods of putting time, one is free text and one is a clock. the clock for last feed/diaper is buggy and often changes after your input. please make this free text like the wakeup time.

this app payment processing is set up and running in an illegal way in Indiana. they charge 3.09% +30 cents processing fees at my daycare that is set up to be a non-profit. when making a payment in the app in indiana its suppose to differentiate between debit and credit and be no fees for debit. however since it does not its defaulted to automatically take the higher fee which in Indiana is illegal 🤔

Downloaded the app, however it does not give you an option to sign up. Only a login page.

They try and charge you a surcharge for using your debit card.Even though the Durbin Amendment makes it illegal in all 50 states to do so.

Checkout never works right. Half the time it doesn't register at all. The other half it randomly checks in/out hours after the fact. Brightwheel so much better. Videos lack a time bar or zoom. Photos snap back to unzoomed. There no parent directory. Signin/sign requires a signature is pointless. Who is actually signing and is verifying it? Messages and child updates are in the same list so important things get buried. Also they charge you $ no matter how you pay bills.

this app is horrible. horrible. horrible. you can't send messages or make payments to the childcare, you either have to clear cache, clear data, or disable and enable, and it takes so long for a log in. I do not recommend. a very horrible app

this is a wonderful wonderful app. I'm grateful to the creators for the reassurance this gives me when my son is in someone else's care.

UI is okay but the app is slow to load, pictures and videos are even slower to load. Notifications don't work half the time, the check in/out notification never works, and there is no notification for when a nap ends. Doesn't offer proximity check-in/out.

Overall, this app is very capable and helpful as a parent. My biggest issue is that notifications don't navigate to what they're about; they just go to the last viewed page, which isn't helpful. Since most of my engagement is based on these notifications this is a pretty big inconvenience for me. If the devs could fix this, I'd give it 5 stars.

A little slow to load at times

UI seems okay but once you start using it it's quite buggy. Numerous typos as well as features that either don't work or are not well thought out. Push notifications don't work. Can't message a classroom but rather have message specific people. Can't sign in/out using GPS which competition offers.

It's wonderful,they are so loving and caring The kids love it too!❤️They are so creative and passionate about the kids and teach them so much.It's also very clean and they keep a pretty variable and healthy food for our kiddos.I really love it🥰After years struggling to find good child care I never thought I would find one so wonderful,I'm very thankful for them all🙏especially because it's tough for my son with his condition(ADHD)but them being so comprehensive and helpful It will help him much

The interaction isn't as intuitive as with Brightwheel. My bank advised me to NEVER give out my login information and password to ANYONE! Surrending complete control of your bank account is the only way to avoid ridiculous fees. I'll pay the extra almost $20 a month to preserve security because I'm not being given an option. DEVELOPERS- FIX THIS. GIVE US A SERVICE THAT ONLY REQUIRES THE ACCOUNT NUMBER AND ROUTING NUMBER LIKE EVERY OTHER BILL PAY SERVICE.

excellent app, my kid goes to whole kids academy and this app really makes thing awesome. signing in, updates and photos of my kid during the day.

Love that I can watch my child grow and learn with peers while I work. Calms my mom heart to see photos of him enjoying himself with his peers. Also love the safety of seeing who is signing him and out of school. So helpful to send a quick message to teachers and also be able to connect with other parents as well.

I love this App so much! Pure Awesomeness to keep up with my Lil one during the day as well as veiw any school activities and notices and see the postings of what she did each day. I love I can sign my baby in and out and pay her fees on the app. I can also send messages to the teacher/school..the photos are amazing as well..

when adding another person to a chat I cannot select Done because the button is hidden behind the notification badges on the top right. I like the layout and design.

This app will let me download and fill out a log in but won't let me access paperwork. It is a blank app when I log into it. Doesn't have a galaxy user phone access. its been a headache to deal with

I really like this app. so many bonus things. you can customize alot. they still have some stuff to work on but you can add your suggestions and they listen which is awesome! I always have tons of ideas! I also like that this app doesn't seem to be for centers. it's nice having a app who csre about home providers also!

It kicks you out to main page when you login one thing for a child. when you need to add more in. Brightwheel is by far the best app zero stars if I could truly rate this app

Poorly designed because there is no place to create an account. It started by asking for email and password. But there is no website to set up a password, so most new users will be confused because they have no experience with the app and so no password will have been set up. To bypass this, click 'forgot my password' and then create one.

I can't save pictures.... iOS works for pics but Android doesn't.

Latest update broke photo and video download. Contacted them, no fix after 2 weeks. Not even revert back until a fix is found.

I use this as a teacher. Overall I like this app however it could use some updates. One, it should allow parents and teachers to make comments on posts that are made by the teachers. Also, they should add where you can see if the messages have been read by the recipient.

It would be wonderful if I did not have to select a time for requesting time off but I do like the setup and ease of using the app but when I request time off it tells me it needs a time but my employer doesn't see a time.

Best app for a Childcare business

I like the clean look, though it doesn't come across as friendly as the previous app my son's school used. It doesn't waste a lot of space, but I'm not able to click on any notifications in order to see more info, though I'm not sure if that's something necessary as I've only received a few short notifications. One thing I don't like is that there's nowhere for me to see the menu or check on what he's eating. Just says "breakfast all" but idk if it's something the teachers are able to do or not.

Does some basics well but very buggy. Does not display any photos or videos for me on Android. Some days I can see one or two images but the next day they're unavailable. Really unacceptable.

The update pictures don't load at all on the Android app, pretty unacceptable. My wife has it on iOS and has no problem with it. Figure out how to fix it.

I receive over 50 notifications and updates a day while logged on my parent account(different email from work)and NONE are for my child. Always get a different excuse for it but it never gets fixed. It makes one wonder who else has access to your child's info and pictures. I love all my students but as a parent I don't understand why a non-guardian gets updates for someone else's child. It takes a long time to process/register sign in and sign out

So far so good. Just started using the app this week. I like the interface. Chat groups are nice. One feature I miss from my previous app is notifications for kids getting checked in or out. Please add this feature to the app.

Can't put bank account payment in, app just shows loading symbol. The suggestion their tech support gives is to update the app (it is) or log in on the computer. Really inconvenient and frustrating after trying for 4 days to use their app as an app. We used Brightwheel previously, and it was much better from the parent perspective.

It could be a wonderful app, but a lot of times, it's hard to upload pictures and videos for families to enjoy. Also, I have used it for 2 years and have never seen an update.

Not understanding the reviews, this app and program has been amazing using it with over 100ppl, small issues that have been fixed quickly. Very easy to use! Has helped get information to all of our parents for all of our programs.

Crashes on startup. Only affects Android app. iOS works fine.

Havent been able to use it. I just downloaded it and it keeps closing.

It does the basics, but there a couple issues that have really bothered me over time. The biggest issue is that the app often gets so slow when I'm typing a message that I have to draft the message in another app and copy it in. The second issue is less of a big deal, but it's also annoying: I have to download pictures to zoom in.

App keeps shutting down on startup. Other people are having issues with pixel phones. I am using Pixel 7 Pro

Won't let me get it on my tablet or change the email on it

As other users mentioned, it doesn't work on Android (Pixel 6 pro). It crashes right after launching it. I tried to restart phone, uninstall/reinstall app. Nothing works.

Typing messages in the app is slow and weird. It doesn't seem to recognize autocorrect. Also sometimes when I check my child out it shows I've checked them in. Overall not a great app

There are a lot of technical issues and glitches that need to be resolved.

Just installed today as our daycare is testing it out. So far, it doesn't work at all. As soon as I open the app it immediately shuts down. I have even restarted my phone. I would give zero stars at this point.

The app makes what should be simple task difficult. Cant add a personal account without using third and fourth party partners. They charge exorbitant fees for credit card and bank payments. In settings the option for notifications is not effective and doesn't adjust the amount you receive.

Android support could use work, but there seems to be a good responsive team behind this software, which gives me hope!

Very useful as innovative

Works properly 10% of the time on android. Wife has no issues with drop off and pick up with her fruit company phone.

Great on an android. No problems like other apps I tried, and amazing tech support to get me started! Ask for Daniel or Josh.
