Doesn't even play music anymore, an update added intrusive ads that interrupt playback and worse they don't even play correctly so it just plays silence and i can't get any of my music to play. Pi used to be my go to player for years, but now they've ruined it. Get Simple music player instead.

The absolute best music app in play store! It's very customizable has wonderful sound and organizes your music library in a wonderful way. I'm a paid user for many years one of the best apps I've ever bought and probably one of the most important on my phone. Purchase this app and you won't be sorry. Support the developers they really deserve it!

Great music player, lots of flexibility and options, would be better if it was Android Auto compatible. I use it daily for my music source in the car and at work.

Great easy to use app. Option to make playlists, sort into genres, can view by song name, artist, album, playlist, genre, or folders as they're organised in your phone which is awesome! Option to edit song details where you can add genre, artist, feature artist etc Can trim songs to use a part of it as a ringtone, can make playlist shortcuts, wigets, and have it come up on your lock screen for easy song changes. Really awesome music playing app.

This app had been great, but for weeks I have been experiencing a glitch where various ads play at a low volume in the background while I'm trying to listen to music. If I pause the music, the ads continue playing at the same low volume. I use this app specifically because its free version doesn't have intrusive video pop-up ads that interrupt the mp3s I own and store directly on my device. Since the devs have ignored this, the only solution is to keep your device offline so no ads load.

I am pro/paid. Auto update DELETED MY PLAYLISTS 😡 very time consuming to reconstruct. Restore feature doesn't work, they don't even come up in a list as if they never existed

after a very long time of use, they sold out. 10 seconds after opening and playing a song, I got a Meta AUDIO ad, that stopped the song, and played the ad. even when I closed the app, the ad wouldn't stop playing. I had to power off my phone. do better...

It works. Doesn't fuss at me for stupid stuff. I appreciate it.

Ads just started interrupting my music mid song today. Who does that? unacceptable, and uninstalled. Do yourself a favor, and go get VLC player. It is far superior, doesn't have ads, and is completely free.

I have had it a couple days an was very easy to maneuver through. Also like the Fact it will search music on YouTube an if you like it you can like it an it will save to your favorites. EDIT... had it a couple years now an I do like it but frequently it gets annoying that when I download a new song I can't put the song into a new play folder unless I restart my phone. an no it's not a phone issue cause I am on phone number three an it's been the same in all of them

I've been using this app for several years now and it works great. Never had any trouble with it. The built-in equalizer works perfect. it has to be five stars, the best player I've ever had.

This is myfavourite music player which i am using from long time. It has nyz features like sleep timer ,ringtone cutter etc. and this app is ad free also....

Pi Music Player is a case study in taking something great and ruining it for profit. The once reliable app that I've used for many years now consumes a lot of battery power, chews up a lot of background storage, and uses a lot of data to support audio ads that play in the middle of the night when the app isn't even in use. They also store playlists in their proprietary method to make it difficult to switch. Removed it from my phone. Don't bother with this app.

I had this app for years and loved it but then the adds starting showing up. It has to go.

dev won't fix broken ads interrupting player. I combed through reviews and it's been about 3 months now of a broken update (or potentially on purpose) stopping the player and playing a quiet ad. developer has responded to at least one review and is aware of issue but references some battery profile which I doubt the hundreds of 1 star reviewers are all having. make sure to mark helpful so others see and don't waste their time. dev, correspond updates to reviews, find issue and roll back?

Better offline music player.

Dunno how but they destroyed this player. You can add tracks to a playlist five different ways and the tracks simply never populate. That and the fecal chawing obsession with begging for money and ad spamming makes this a waste of time, top to bottom.

The Pi app downloaded from the Google playstore works well on my Lenovo chromebook. No complaints here for this app. It is free and, while I'm no power user, it does the job. My only criticism is that I have about 25 albums recorded in the 'wma' format which aren't recognized by Pi but I'll rerip those albums. My preferred music player is Poweramp for Android, but it is a paid app and it is not too user-friendly if you try installing it on a chromebook.

was great, but now... Well it's still good at doing what it does, playing audio files but recently my playlists have no songs in them anymore and when I make a new one with those songs, it doesn't show them and says "something went wrong"

I did love this app. it was my preferred music player. but the past month you are aggressively pushing ads. not just banners at the bottom to click. ads that full on stop the music and force you to listen to someone talk. fix this or I'm going to have to abandon it

Used to love this app. But the addition of ads that play sound and disrupt my music and audiobooks (and don't immediately shut off when I close the app) is driving me crazy. Seriously looking at other apps, despite being a loyal user for many years.

Absolutely unacceptable. After 9+ years as a Pi Music Player user, I’m now getting random advertisements blasted through my speaker with NO visible ad, sometimes repeatedly and even multiple ads at once. A music player secretly playing ads in the background is ridiculous. I have now switched to using Musicolet, so much better, and used AI to seamlessly transfer my playlists. Uninstalled Pi permanently.

Love this app, it's amazing, and I've been using it for years. But I've noticed that sometimes when I add cover art (specifically using the in-app function for that) the whole mp3 file will disappear off my phone. Has that happened to anyone else?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 that did not have a music app preinstalled, but the usual stupid bloatware. So I download the Samsung music app. There is no shuffle or playlist. It sucked and had to go. This app is great and plays my music just how I like it. Update. On my new flagship Samsung devices this player was great up until a few weeks ago. There's an update that came along and now ads interrupt your music. It happens repeatedly. Bye bye Pi Player.

I have been using this great application for about 3 years now. These people have a great understanding about how to play the music that's stored on your personal device. They have a great equalizer and a very awesome ringtone editor that lets you pick what part of the song you want to be heard when your phone rings. I used the free version for about 1 and 1/2 years. Then I upgraded for a very reasonable price. I am very happy with this music application. I highly recommend this.

What a shame. This was a great app for such a long time, and now they incorporated audible ads as you listen to your songs. What a dumb decision to make 🙄 Who wants to hear their song stop abruptly to then listen to 2 ads playing at the same time?!?! And once it's finished it will just repeat the ads again. You have to manually unpause the song so continue listening. Then it happens again soon after. Trash; Uninstalled.

I really dislike the layered coinstar ads that play mid-song. I have to disable WiFi and data to prevent it from happening. Aside from that, it's solid.

just lately a problem started: I'll play an mp3 only to have it stopped and interrupted by some strange ad of 2 or 3 people talking at the same time. so annoying.

This is a great app. It has a music player, a sound equalizer and a song info edit feature to fix info mistakes and incorrect song titles. What more could you want? Edit 2: The previous problem is gone but now my music is interrupted by ads playing in the background. It is audio only and only happens when I listen to music. I can't find the source and they stack every time I restart the music. please fix this.

Recent update has this thing completely messed up. It will randomly start playing a super quiet ad in the middle of a song I have downloaded on my device. Nevermind streaming music and getting ads. I'm playing music files that exist in my phone and this ridiculous app gives me ads 7 seconds into the song, then another one a minute or two later. And I can't even hear the ad unless I completely turn off my vehicle, turn the volume as high as it can go and listen very carefully. What a garbage app.

I have been a user and fan of this app for a long time. But as of late, this app is draining my battery, even when not in use. This is either by accident (which concerns me), or by design (which concerns me way more). What is this app doing when it's not even playing music???? Uninstalling. Moving on to other alternatives.

Brilliant app, Great player but the only thing I have against it is when editing a song it fails to create the editing.

Ive been using pi music for years, recommended it often too, but now ads have been popping up mid-song and keeping the song pause after the ad is done. Not only that, when i have the app up in the background and not being used, ads would play from pi in other ads quietly in the background, at some point it sounded like multiple ads playing at once. No longer recommended and will uninstall.

I loved and used this music player for years. but this morning it started pausing my music every minute or so to play very quiet audio ads. I'm really hoping this is an error but I'm switching to a new music player is resolved.

Easy to navigate and have been using for years. but just recently mine started auto playing ads in the middle of my songs. it pauses the song and I at first thought maybe I had water on my phone or something, but as I plugged in my headphones I could just barely make out a coinstar ad playing in the background. I Uninstalled the app to be safe. sad to see this happen 😢

9/15/2026 started pausing my music to play audio ads. Until then, it was great. Now, it's garbage.

Been using this app for years. Just a small banner ad that isn't obtrusive edit 9/16/26 the app now has the occasional ad come through the audio. one reviewer said its the banner ads that sometimes have audio, well it paused my music to play the ad. I'll be uninstalling and buying a dedicated mp3 player. I despise ads and do everything in my power to eradicate them from my life. this player was great for years, I reccomended it to everyone I know, not anymore.

was a great app for 5 different phones I've had , now they've added ads, I'm gonna forget this app and delete unless you remove the ads, period. I know at least 25 people and counting that are going to do the same!! REMOVE THE ADS AND FIX THIS APP!!!!

It doesn't hold the actual custom playlist together, like it redrops many songs back down to the bottom of the playlist 🤷 It still doesn't toggle through my playlists and now phone speaker is out on my new phone.???!? It works but it lacks some basic scrolling and now playing indication and no interface connection with now playing from playlist literally have to manually refind what I selected from playlist from top or bottom 😤

I love that it's free and so easy to use. you get to customize your tab categories, so instead of having to keep all of them you can remove the ones you don't use and reorganize the order of the ones you do use. And I absolutely love that I can do other things on my phone while my music continues to play!

I've been using this app for a long time at this point but lately it's been draining my battery to the point I have to make sure to shut the app completely down. None of my other apps do this, not even YouTube when it's running in the background. I suspect there might be a memory leak or something that's causing it but I'm not sure. For now, I'll be using a different music player until this is fixed.

Simple play by folder possibility is my favorite feature and the reason why I bought it.

Originally my problem was the ads that played at random while listening to music and even while the app wasn't being actively used. For that I gave 2 stars. Now I change that, I was wondering why my battery was draining so fast while my phone was idle. I come to find the app was the only one active in the background. I check my battery diagnostic and how can I spend nearly 2 hours on YouTube and lose 14% while this app does "nothing" in the background and cost me 30%.

app ads music to playlist on its own have 5 or six of all aongs on playlist and 5 or six if songs i never added to playlist on playlist app aded by itself. app constantly having to re make playlist ap constantly closes itself while playing music through bluetooth have to reopen app app keeps closing by itself and pauses music randomly songs skipp like a scratched cd and when playing the same song through file explorer doesn't skip so it's the app not song

I've been using this app for a few years. I absolutely love it & how easy it is to customize songs. A lot of music mp3 apps don't let you change the musical artist or song name. That's not an issue with this app. I love how it let's you add whatever photo you want for songs photo cover. Looks like all the major streaming services when you add the album cover for songs.

Great app for music, and free! Needs a new widget or few for different phone configs, tho.
