NordVPN corrected my problem by switching to NordLynx for me since I am a low tech type person. However, my Nord Password recovery was changed to something else that NordVPN indicated it was wrong. My laptop was kick out of internet as an intruder instead until I grade on my phone as 1 star. Then NordVPN corrected the problem for me.

Why is there no quick tile to disconnect? Why do I have to open the app to disconnect from the VPN?

I try to see what im downloading onto my phone with this new update and the only information given is: "This update won't make headlines, but it will make the app a bit better. And honestly that's what counts". I can't even use the app without updating either despite it remaining functional. Canceling my subscription because this unprofessional bs + the obscuring and worsening of features that worked completely fine.

I go around in circles and got tricked into auto renewal for year 3, because i had unfortunately purchased a 2 year plan, that I couldn't use, then forgot about it and auto renewed for 1 more year. thoroughly disgusted

Bloated and unreliable. I've been using NVPN for a few years, and in the past year the app on Windows and Android has become bloated, originally it was JUST a VPN, now it's a firewall, antivirus... it's slow, disconnects, slow, and Support appear clueless suggesting useless solutions. Please NVPN, go back to being JUST a VPN.

appreciate a fast and reliable connection. the new widget update was great. now allows a quick turn on/off and pause right from the widget. appreciate the convenience and security.

They keep updating the app to make it more inconvenient to just stop the connection. before the default option would be to disconnect from the VPN now its to pause for 5 minutes. I cant think of any scenario where pausing for 5 minutes or really any set amount of time would be useful other than to keep you funneling into their network. These things only become more obtuse everytime a small inconvenience is overlooked

updates are not stable... and the app doesn't work if the updates are not installed and it does install and let us go back to home screen.. not easy to use

They have finally fixed the widget. now you can connect and disconnect your VPN on a single press, just like before. I feel that the Pause button should be the same size as the Disconnect button, but it'll do for now.

Installed it on a Samsung S25 never got past the login or setup screen. It never timed out just hung up. It works fine on a Chromebook. Doesn't seem to like Android. It uninstalled fine I downloaded via Nord login through forced Google store.

Regularly gets stuck at "connecting". I have to manually reconnect each time. This has caused me issues when I forgot about this trap my own vpn set me.

The ad blocker doesn't work anymore

i would like to say I love this app but I cant. the only reason Im using it is because I already paid for it. I only need the VPN SOME of the time...so you would think I could go into the app and turn it on when I need it...unfortunately this app thinks it knows best and automatically turns itself on and I have to constantly go into the app and turn it off. Even if you set it to be off for 24 hours, it will still turn itself on 10 minutes later. I will definitely not be using this app again.

Does not work in China (Yangshuo and Guangzhou) with China mobile or WiFi. I spent over an hour following instructions from Nord AI chat box, with no success. Using an eSIM (bcengi) that re-routes via Singapore, NordVPN does work but having to pay fees for both is expensive.

it's absolutely fantastic, I subscribed to another VPN which was highly recommend, but it was a bit of a disappointment, slow and kept blocking access to sites. Nord runs without any of these issues while doing what it's supposed to do.

I thought I had what the in app purchases tells you to get, I thought I had it all, I'm not sure of what I got. I will cancel the trial offer, if I can figure it out. too much BS. for nothing really

I had Nord for trial periods previously and liked the service wanted to integrate it into my daily use, but find myself frequently disabling or turning off the actual VPN. When enabled internet services Stutter/ Stop randomly without any warning, which kind of defeats the purpose of the VPN would love to actually change this review. But looking on the internet seems like this has been a known problem. And there's no real changes in sight yet the service cost +100 bucks annually.

Surfshark has been caught doing false advertising about 100 GBPS servers. In the first place, 100 GBPS doesn't exists yet. Second, you are hiding replies on Twitter about the truth posted by the community and Windscribe. I've been using this app for months now. At first, it runs smoothly, but then after 4 months of using it, it starts pissing me off cause it keeps on disconnecting me while in game. We already tried fixing it and everything but it's still ongoing with the disconnecting issues.

Hiding the Disconnect button behind Pause is a terrible UI decision. The widget no longer has a Disconnect option either. Now I have to open the app, tap Pause, then Disconnect every time. This adds unnecessary steps to a simple action. Connecting and disconnecting should be equally easy. Please bring back a dedicated Disconnect button in both the app and the widget. The current design is much less user-friendly. Edit - Putting back 3 more stars as the disconnect buttons are finally back.

On mobile phone disconnects at random and I have to manually reconnect or activate/deactivate flight mode which seems to fix the problem, its tiresome, happens daily. PC version also has some problems that need me to restart the computer right after starting it, looks like shutting down without disconnecting makes the pc unable to use internet when started again, and even the vpn cannot connect, i have to restart and then it can, its ridiculous.

it seems like I've had a much more difficult time connecting to internet while I'm driving or out in different places after I got nordvpn

It always struggles to connect once I switch to data leaving my house's wifi. Even after manually stopping the connection attempt it will repeat that process after a few minutes...making it useless over cellular data.

so many apps don't work well with this, it can be awfully slow, and it doesn't have a mode to exclude certain WiFi networks.

They're like Micro$oft turning on features you disabled in the past. Real time protection now keeps track of all sites you visit in app logs and blocks certain video websites with html5 errors there. I disable and months later it gets enabled.

I have used Nord VPN for a number of years and it is the best. It has added features in addition to being a VPN. A dedicated IP address, an excellent password manager and real protection from the Dark Web. Numerous packages offer VPNs as part of their software but they are not a dedicated VPN offering as many external servers as Nord VPN. The cost is also modest for the protection given and can cover a number of devices.

The VPN often doesn't work and requires multiple reboots after it updates for months at a time. i also just found out that uf you have "auto-renewal" setup on your account that NordVPN tries to renew you with the most expensive offering, not your currently selected offering. This is extremely shady! Watch out for this everyone.

NordVPN may likely keep my business through 2030. Just updating my review for 2025. So far so good 😊. I'm sticking with NordVPN as long as they keep me covered in the present scheme of things. For the most part it's good, except the call protection. There's no way to allow a call through if it is accidentally flagged as spam. So while the app DOES give you the notification that it's blocking the call, NOTHING can be done about it.

I've tried all the troubleshooting steps as recommended in recent posts - uninstall/reinstall, also downloaded the installer directly from Nord site, changed protocol, etc. Will reach out to support.

updates annoy me. it seems like they come mess with things then the app is down until the next time they make updates. I haven't been able to connect on the mobile for about a week now. it corresponds with the app on the computer just stopping. they could have communicated what and why they were changing stuff but they leave the customers in the dark and we are left to work it out ourselves this app on the phone not working is the last straw. I'll be looking for another provider

signed for one year to be used in.china, but after the first month of reasonable service, its useless, always connecting, but never connected. tried to fix it few times, nothing works. no refund at all. just ask me to keep trying.

The Nord team decided to include a cute little background processes popup that you can't skip, you can't deny without giving the app permission to make changes on your device, and you can't close the popup without opening your task manager. I don't know what these "background processes" are, or how they will affect my PC, or if they are going to be harmful. What I do know is that the Nord VPN team took my right to choose away, and forced me off of their platform with this bs today.

I'm a paying customer but very disappointed by NordVPN. I had to uninstall the app because either it blocked access to websites or it drastically slowed down internet access. I also regretted that most streaming sites detected the VPN and declined the access.

texting doesnt work with vpn on samsung s24 after 10/22 os update to android 17, calls spotty, reconnect to vpn after restart very slow, meshnet will not stay persistent on, i know this is not nord fault, but idk how to report major issues / bugs any other way ty hopefully nord compatibility with new junk Android update can be resolved.

NordVPN connection on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S25+) is extremely unstable. It would frequently disconnect and looks like it is perpetually trying to reconnect but unable to (constantly "buffering"). This leaves my phone disconnected and completely useless, which is particularly dangerous when I am driving and relying on phone navigation for directions. I've reported this problem to NordVPN before and they advised me to connect via NordLynx, which did resolve the problem at all.
