Great for added security!

This thing is causing me to get a zero on a college assignment because suddenly it doesn't want to let me into my college account. I can't sign in any other way because this thing decided I shouldn't be able to use my email. Thank you for ruining my grade Microsoft! I wish I could put zero stars because your app is worse than worthless.

Why won't my apps connect with my organization and my mobile device? The code doesn't display in the apps, and the other ways to sign in are also based on the apps. This means you cannot sign in because the code is supposed to be displayed on your mobile device but it doesn't appear.

11/01/2026 update. It works for everything I want it to. My company requires it for VPN login when I work. My 2FA on my home machine is tied to this authenticator. I use it for most all of my 2FA authentication

world's most pointless app that takes up space on your phone.

Requiring the use of the authenticator app to acquire approval to login to the authenticator app when installed onto a replacement phone is akin to emailing a password reset to the email account that the user is trying to access. Verify your identity by "Approving a request on my Microsoft Authenticator App" or "Use a verification code" that is also through the authenticator app. Or... check that your verification methods are current via this link...that is also through the authenticator app.

this app is easy, useful and ensures multi factor security towards Microsoft applications.

You should really consider spacing out the yes/no button to avoid accidental approve/deny. Keeping it line by line with micrometers of space isn't a genius coding we expect from Microsoft!!!

authenticator is requiring to many extra steps when setting up a new device. on top of that it's not giving me enough time to even enter a opt code to even get signed in. when it's been sent to my email. we need to please stop assuming everyone signing in is a robot.

I never thought responding to a boring work email could get any more tedious. Then microsoft authentication app was made. Turning simple tasks into technical nightmares, and constantly haunting us with two step authentication and broken QR codes.

there's no way to export the keys if i want to use a different application. Still a very limited and unsafe app. it's unable to detect external attempts and block them. keeps popping notifications about allow/deny requests, clearly attacks.

trying to sign in on my xbox. it says type in the number to sign in, but there is no number. why was it even signed out in the first place? I'm literally already signed in on multiple devices with the same IP address. you guys should be able to make this work. what a joke.
