I can't message some people in MeWe or get a dm from them. it sucks. this need to be fixed pronto.

i recently re-installed the app after having it deleted for a while. when i start it, i don't see an option to log in, i can only create a new account, but i already have one.

MeWe has been abandoned by most of my friends... not really sure what the current users are hanging on for. Lots of AI generated users lately, especially in 2026. They're using "soshi" coin to let people "tip" other users for their posts... kind of like BAT which you accumulate by reading ads. The Web3 integration doesn't seem to help the user experience any. Not sure what that was about. oh, and red dot notification on the bell never goes away.

notification bell lights up for every post in every group that you're in. instead of just notifying you about important comments or replies. making notifications completely pointless. there's already a list of all the groups that have new posts. I don't need notifications on top of that. updates are always on the app and not through play store. seems kinda shady. Latest update they want you to pay to scroll. "looks like you've almost reached your limit of video" no definition of what limit.

It's better than Facebook by far. update: I've had MEWE for a ling time, they now want to verify my age. I am not going to scan my photo ID or passport for any claimed verification reason even if it's not stored. I remember 48 states, both Kennedys & King getting shot, only 3 stations to watch, black & white TV, Vietnam War, had my draft card. I can't even get in to delete my account. I'm gone.

The latest update is terrible. So hard to look at now. I'll never understand changing the functional parts to make them harder to use, while leaving the broken stuff broke. Older UI is better. THAT was way smoother. Miss it now. Now there's other non-followers' stories being shown. Wallet being added, and no more making new chats, requesting payment to make new chats. Not gonna be used anymore if the situation ain't fixed. And now its showing photos that's been shared to others. Tsk tsk.

The notifications for posts opens the app and shows rotating circles forever and "Comments" on the top left.

in general it's okay for what it is, but it is nowhere near as good as it used to be. one massive glitch is that there's no way to get notifications if somebody messages you. the help files offering insight which are not relevant since the options they provide do not exist. reaching out to anybody from it or other types of help support are non-existent. as a result, the only way around that now is to just log in frequently during the day to see if somebody messaged you.

Restrictions and limitations on watching videos are totally unfair. Facebook or Instagram has no limits on watching videos or reels, but your app limits video and reel viewing. So I give a 1-star rating for this stupidity, and your app will loose it's market soon.

Had to make a new review. Giving this a 1 because I refuse to show any app my ID. So it looks like I won't be using it anymore, unless they decide to get rid of that feature.

Hackers known on Facebook, Messager and others get Hacked gaining info. Federal ID limited on Personnel Info. ID and DL issued by states carry Personnel Info used by Hackers.

More issues than can fit in a 500 character review. The design has become terrible. Difficult to find own posts. Vast amounts of prohibited content. Reporting does nothing except for them to censor the reporting entity. Unable to filter the feed from content in other languages. Plenty of violence, guns & other harmful content; how is that 'safe'?

absolute garbage app. it loads in chunks and isnt smooth at all. all the groups I am part of cant be opened individually. the old version worked great. what are the devs thinking? they werent apparently. Every time you click a picture and try to go back it takes you to the top of the page. scrolling is impossibly slow. this app was good but now garbage. deleting it.

This app was a refreshing new start and a way to get away from the BS provided by Facebook and Twitter. it was a great option. Unfortunately, it seems to now be under the control of NFT / Crypto bros. The sight recommends the worst garbage imaginable and the home page is hopelessly broken. Everything is listed as minutes ago even when posted years ago. It is extremely sad to see just how awful they have made it and there seems to be no rush to fix anything.

Violent racists, sexual harassment, bots, trolls, and obvious disinformation are allowed unchecked but you can get in trouble for telling them off, so pretty much going the same direction as Facebook. Only works 50% of the time. The feed stops, you get multiple updates that don't tend to fix anything, but for sure the new features all seem to want your money to unlock this and that. Awful app. Whoever is paying anything for this app is dumb.

Like, they may as well charge an entry fee for this god awful app. It also seems like they added a CRYPTO wallet function.. And now push gambling advertisements. At some point, posting in general will be a premium feature.

It used to be a good social media website. Now all the useful features like favourites and group feeds are thrown into following. Everything useful has been hidden behind paywalls. Everyone who has joined in the last year seems to think it's a dating site, it's full of fakes, scammers and porn. Best to avoid it.

Be prepared to watch 40 seconds of video per day (yes you read that right) before being told in an unbelievably condescending way "that's enough for today" and "everything you do costs us money"...literally. wild stuff. A Social Media app with alot of useful features. 5 now 4 due to limited access. Started using this app as a free speech platform. So disappointing to see it has limit chat to premium users. Just leave it up to the users to adjust their chat settings on their own terms. The upgrades on the look and feel of the app are cool. It had been my main social media app since i have been trying to find an alternative to facebook. But as a result of the new chat feature I think it's limiting it's own users.

Everything can be better. As MeWe continues to make questionable choice for updates we stray further and further from why we use this up. They don't value Feedback, and if they did they wouldn't be driving the app into the ground. An extreme example would be comparing the MeWe team to Arrowhead. But features that shouldn't be premium exclusive are becoming premium exclusive. You need premium to have favorites and translate messages. And the NSFW group purges is just whack for those into it.

It was great, and I was recommending people to use it. But they recently updated where you have to get premium and pay monthly to chat with people that you're not following... had to take two stars off because of this. other than this it's fairly good. very annoying that they did that update.

It's a shame that MeWe seems to be following the same path as Google+ did before that app was shut down. Also, the new Wallet feature just made the app even less safe, as hackers can use it to access your account. With this most recent update making it so we have to purchase their premium plan to do stuff like DM other people and get access to things that were previously free, I may have to seriously start considering a jump to other platforms to keep connecting with friends.

*Update* They have fixed several bugs and its conciderably better now. POS app. No customer service of any kind. Can't contact anyone for help if you need it. It's extremely buggy to boot. I can't change any of my login info at all. Every time I try it says something like an error has occured or email invalid when I try to add one. So if you lose your password or login info your screwed.

I had MeWe for years before it started with their insideous 'updates.' Recently I had experienced difficulties with their chats. It would not allow me in chat and would close the app. I uninstalled it to try and correct the problem. The install didn't work. I lost my original acct and had to create a new account. This account didn't work as I wanted to try to restore my original acct. Finally I decided to ditch the app altogether. I'm not sure to try another install to get my original acct.
