COOL APP I USED CUSTOM SCREEN ROTATION APP TO PUT THIS LANDSCAPE WHEN IT'S MY FIRST TIME USING THIS APP ON LANDSCAPE MODE I MY TABLET I SAW EVERYTHING THAT I LIKE I THE APP

PLEASE HELP BC I'VE NEVER SEEN SO MANY ADS & I HAVE DUOLINGO 🐣

most intolerable ads experience i have ever had bro

So many ads

It's so bad! Just logging in is incredibly difficult. Please fix it!

Redirects to other apps several times a minute. App is almost unusable.

inaaah maadhiri aaana App ♥️😭

anj redirect ke tiktok

love love love love love

the ads so sucks. I'm done

been referencing private profiles for 10 years, but it obviously would be bad for their engagement metrics so it never comes. also a leftist nightmare.

app literally will not open has been like this for couple of months now. just sits on the loading screen forever

little bit advice for letterboxd. please add some feature that shows whos didnt follow us back. kinda annoying when i followed someone's acc back, and after that they start unfollow me, like am i supposed to be your fans or what???. so please letterboxd. also give a feature to kinda "sort by" to see in our followers and following list.

i really like the app. the only feature it's missing is movie collection in right order which is already feature in TMDB. if you go through any franchise like harry potter, fast and furious etc. it shows related films in incorrect order

❤️❤️❤️

There is this bug where sometimes an ad would open another app without me clicking on them, they just force you into another app without touching any ads. Do fix.

full of unskippable invisible ads that always lead me to some tiktok shop

ads keep popping up automatically while using the app

switching to another application too often, is this a bug or a virus, if it is a virus please tell me how to fix it, but if this is a system bug please fix it quickly, or if this was done on purpose by the developer I will stop using letterboxd

LETTERBOXD JANSKUY JGN POP UP KE TT/SHOPEE BS GKSIH!!! Mksh

what is going on with the ads? open it for seconds and it opens tiktok, back again > tiktok, bsck again tiktok. can't even log my movies.

useless in the background of another aps

pop up.

najis dah baru bat mencet langsung diparani iklan mulu

Somehow recently the ads kept drawing me to another app. Update, months later and it doesn't change.

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I adore film. I can talk for hours about it and only stop when they ask me to. When people ask how I know so much and have seen so much from all of film history I always tell them "letterboxd". If it were not for this app I would never have found a real intense passion for cinema outside of mainstream media. I owe this app so much because of that.

always throwing to another app and its annoying experience

BERALIH MULU KE APP LAIN SEBEL DEH GAJELAS

Great Start for your movie log journey

A plataforma é meio instável. Às vezes travada, às vezes fora do ar. É um pouco irritante.

keep crashing and directed me to tiktok, I DON'T EVEN CLICK THE ADS

the app doesn't even work

Amazing for Cinephile. 🎬

trash

Enable syncing with Movie Paradise

idk about you guys, but my lb keeps popping up ads where it redirects me off the app, each and every time i try to click something. heck even when I'm in idle. repeatedly. what's going on? this is not my lb i used to love.

fix the ad redirect issue.

since the update it always jumped to another app (tiktok shop) even though I wasn't touching the ads, it's annoying please get it fixed

nice

tried to make an account/sidn in multiple times and never worked

App constantly crashes

I have over 200 peaces of physical media and i tried to log them on a privet list and changed my tab on my phone so less than a minute abd when i go back it took me from letter p to letrer h and didnt save 73 movies

update from this app it becomes so annoying like a pirated apps, it will take you on another app. I'm dissapointed of this app I once love it now you can't scroll to read some reviews.

Idea is great, but if you look through too many movies it crashes every time

sells you ad-free and then continues to show you ads.

Great movie

😘

So many ads from ahopping sites every now and then. I'll uninstall this app after I write my review and just stick to the web version instead.

redirected Pop up ads

What the f with the login system, this app literally about keep what we watch as a journal, and they just just remove it like that???? not professional at all. even beginner app can make better login system than this?? THIS IS MILLIONS USER APP.

it's just an ad app at this point tbh

As I get older and my brain gets less capable of retaining info, this helps me to rewatch films I've already seen. Please add series!

I want to like this app because it does have nice features but it's not intuitive at all. When I click my Journal tab it's blank. So I have to click my profile and then my Journal - but now it says Diary? Ok cool I'll just add something to my list. Click List and then + but it just tries to log what I've watched. Why? I chose List...to add to my list. So Journal doesn't show my Journal and List doesn't add to my List. I feel like this could be so much simpler and better

app is very glitchy, i need a fix now.

Interesting...

I love

look at it mb

i wouldnt get this app if i were you. if theres a show in a different language or one they just dont have there is no way to add it to your list. this should be able to be added as a custom show/series, so you can still write the review and plan it in the list and not have to go on notes ans write it up there. you might aswell use youe notes app.

cant reset password

the pop up ads make the app unusable

me like movie

one of the worst apps I've ever had. it's genuinely lucky I love film more than this BS. so glitchy, have to refresh constantly, or leave the app and come back on again. whoever made the code for this should be sacked. NOW CAN'T EVEN DELETE COMMENTS. Absolute joke of a platform

This app is SO buggy, it glitches and crashes ALL THE TIME! It's got worse over time as well.

I'm new to this app. Put off using it for years until Amazon jacked up IMDb so bad I didn't have much of a choice. But, this app is CONSTANTLY crashing, which makes the experience of using it a real bummer.

Letterboxd used to work flawlessly. As of a couple of years ago, they've sold the company and have chased social media clout and let the app degrade slowly. I get it - They have to make money, the four favorite videos are cool, but the app sucks. I never, not once, used to have an issue with the app, and now the servers go down at least once a week, and I can't scroll through a list three swipes before the app crashes from too much caching - I used to be able to scroll forever. It's sad.

the ads are out of hand now. is Letterboxd on the brink of bankruptcy????

love the idea of the app, it's well designed. But there's constant errors, loading issues, you need to refresh the page nonstop. I'd love to use it but it's just impossible

It's horrible, it's always showing authentication failed, logging in itself is already a nightmare.

this app was fantastic until just recently. Now it crashes constantly, and sometimes decides that movie entries didn't exist

I mean it just doesn't work.

Authentication errors?

I wish I could repost reveiws

incredible.

i love letterboxd so much, i have a lot of friends bcs this app!!! and i wanna request, pls add a reply comment!!

absolutely love this app. it's one of my favorite hobbies and being able to catalog my thoughts and see my friends thoughts are amazing. one thing I started doing with the Lists menu is to categorize my physical media with it. while it's functional to do so, it's a little clunky and I wish there was a way to search within a list. something simple like that would solve a lot of issues I have.

Not sure why a simple movie rating app runs so hot and crashes so frequently.

It's automatically logged out after I update.. I cannot remember my username, and I can't login with email 💀💀💀 help | Edit: I tried to login with my name only (I searched it desperately first), thank God I found it and I successed to enter.

worst app really. I wasted my time by downloading this. especially the capcha is very irritating. I am not able to sign in. it always showing that my password is not useful.

UI is garbage. Hard to find anything. Hard to search friends. Hard to see what friends like. Hard to do the basic things the app wants to do. Everyone I've ever talked to about this app says the same thing. Anyone could do this better and it would be more preferable to switch. Devs - you can fix it. It's well within your power to take chances on a better UI design. I haven't seen any QoL updates in years since I got this app. Companies that do well don't stick with the same formula forever

they fixed my issues ta

The "rate, log, review" button is missing in the newest update??? It's there on the mobile website but it's straight up missing in this update. I don't understand how you can mess up that badly and remove the main feature that the users use the app for.

This app is solid (although I'm sure it will take a ballistic, tragic, omega-level nose dive off the biggest cliff imaginable once its purchased by a film studio in a few months) But it needs to figure out what it wants to be. Why are only some tv series on here? Either let us rate/rank/review tv series or don't. It's super annoying. P.S we should most definitely be able to rate/rank/review tv series here.

nice platform, couldn't get enough of the ads and pop ups, i wish there were more. in fact, just make the whole app an advertising platform where we browse through different shopping apps

Great app concept, but the Android optimization is terrible compared to iOS. The tablet UI in horizontal mode is completely broken and poorly scaled. It feels like a direct copy-paste from iOS without any effort to adapt it for Android screens. Please optimize the UI performance and support landscape mode properly

what the heck is happening to letterboxd???? it keeps redirecting me to TikTok, or Shoppee, or Lazada it's annoying af

Better in theory unfortunately, has major stability issues

what a god awful user interface and experience, I can't believe this app is so popular

At first I was very in love with this app, but lately the ads were just so bad that it kept making me leave the app. Please don't be this selfish just for you guys to make us buy pro. I admit it's a great app for us cinema lovers to write our thoughts about film, but when it comes to the ads, it's making me hate this app.

I LOVE LETTERBOXD

I want to get back my account for which i don't know gmail but I know all details please help letter box

ridiculous ads and expensive subscription

It keeps opening third-party apps for some reason, it's pissing me off.

слишком плохой интерфейс, не удобно банальные проблемы с тем чтобы поставить аватарку, плохо! но задумка хорошая

O' Captian My Captain!

I like logging movies but letterboxd itself is pretty bad. It resets filters, doesn't have a way to multi-select to add to lists, crashes a lot, has very limited filter options, allows spam reviews and review bombing, often doesn't give the full cast list for films and especially limited series, still hasn't added TV shows, doesn't allow you to delete a tag and have it be removed everywhere it was used (you have to do it manually), and is barely moderated for reviews containing spoilers.

One of best app for the cinema fans 🙌

this app is really quite pointless. This is the SECOND time that letterboxd has entirely blocked me from attempting to log back into my account after locking me out of it really randomly. I've lost all my movie logs over the last 3 years, so if you're looking for somewhere to put your opinions and ratings, just use your notes app. it's just kinda pointless now as an app.

Letterboxd is more than a movie app; it is a beautiful home for film lovers. It helps us remember films, share thoughts, and discover meaningful stories. Every movie can leave a feeling, memory, lesson, or new perspective. I love how Letterboxd makes the journey of cinema personal and memorable. To me, it is a beautiful part of a lifelong love for film.

Of all the film apps I downloaded just to find one movie this one came up with another asset that I am interested in I found a special punk film section where I saw some footage of the period between 75-78 UK punk But the next time I went to find it I didn't see anything like it I felt as if they were deliberately hiding it from me (yes I understand how crazy that sounds) Anyway I enjoyed the time I did get to explore this app. Good going fellas+-)) Mimi Bordeaux

There's a horrific memory leak triggered by advertisements loading that forces you to close the app if you open too many pages in a row or scroll down long enough. You can recreate it by scrolling through someone's rated movies, opening up a review of theirs, opening the page for the movie from there, and then going back twice to their page, continue to scroll, repeat the process. If you do this enough - and it doesn't take long - the app will slow down significantly. Just got a memory error too

you're telling me you guys have POP UP ADS now???? what is this, an illegal site???

One of the most unintuitive apps I have ever used. Commonly used functions are several layers deep in menus instead of out in the open. No light mode I'm sorry I paid for for it. I'll be looking into other apps before I put it a lot of time into using it

you can barely use the app with how much ads redirect you on its own. i hate it

Horrible UI, hides advertised features. I tried to gift the Parton subscription to a friend. Never had the option from the subscriptions page so I looked it up. Followed letterbox's own link for gifting to friends and it never gave me the prompt. Also can't cancel subscriptions in the app or refund them, which are both features advertised by letterbox.

how does it NOT have an option to sort by age rating??????

this is so good app for movies rating and review

Why are some shows at Letterboxd, but others aren't? Loki (2 seasons) — yes, Fleabag (2 seasons) — no. Where is the logic?"

dogshit ad redirects. you want your app to be useable? how about removing the shitstain that redirects me to another app while I literally do nothing.

The app constantly loses my watch history and lists, so all the work I put in to document my movie watching keeps going to waste.

Honestly, I really love the app. But I'm giving it star since its not well optimize and the ads is super annoying. It feels like they just copy and paste the website version and didn't put any effort on optimizing it.

won't let me create an account so the app is completely useless.

why just dark mode theme? i need light mode too.

My love for movie it's alive again. Thank you letterboxd

My diary entries are posted here

I LOVE this app, great for keeping lists of movies you wanna see as well as keeping a diary of movies you have! My only complaints would be the lack of a "browsing" system. Would love if I could also use this app to find new movies to watch, especially if they somehow based the suggestions off my previous watches/ratings. Also wish they wouldn't just constantly show all the movies currently in theaters, I'd like to be shown movies I can actually watch without making a whole trip.

cancerous ads

so buggy. loses stuff you're in the middle of working on (why tf doesn't it cache stuff to disk?!) so just use the webview instead! app doesn't load usually, and if it does there's a giant PRO banner ad which gets in the way in the app...

Gautam babu ( s/o Mahesh babu ) movie reviews chudham ani install chesaa..😁

melhoraram o app muito!!! ótimo app pra dar 5 estrelas pra madame teia

تطبيق رائع وعظيم لمحبين الافلام والي يقيمون بس بي شغله مو حلوه الباترون سعره غالي كلش

My favorite ❤️

I love the concept, but the user interface is terrible. It's really hard to figure out how to properly add films to your diary, and the Where to Watch function (which is quite important when looking for new films to watch) just doesn't show up half the time.

incomplete

keep crashing and too many ads

The app keeps crashing immediately after opening it. Please fix this.

beautiful. very easy to find movies and rate them. I like that you can make different lists as well.

love letterbox, It now constantly crashes though, it's unusable now. every minute or so it just hangs, never seen an android app crash like this so constantly. fix and it's back to 5 stars

I have the app

i cant log in no matter what i do medjo maka saput

unfortunately does not work at all after the latest update. crashes after minor use

Best app ever

apps broken after latest update doesn't work. finally working after the update

after the latest update the app crashes like every 5 minutes especially when trying to read the reviews going through watchlist etc...

why is soo freaking hard just to sign in, im sorry im gonna have to delete. couldnt even use this app😔. that why i gave 1 star

Great app, but i suggest adding the Web Series also with movies. Then it'll be 5 star ⭐ app

amazing app but could we PLEASE get folders for lists 🙏🙏

Not able to make an account/Sign in- frustrating The options to "sign in' or "go" are just confusing and in the end it won't let me sign in even if the username and password are correct. Awful 0/5 Stars

feel performative and intellectual af#cinephile#media#thearts

wanted to try making a list of movies i already watched but upon registration and after confirming the account in my email, it kept saying the password was wrong even though i put the correct one. tried resetting it to a more simple password but it still kept saying it was a wrong password. uninstalled after a few minutes of registering.

cant see what im typing for my password

I was looking for an app to replace TV Time that would allow me to create a shared watch list with my partner. I created the list and shared it with him, but no matter what he tries, he can't view it, gets an error message every time. i also can't seem to remove movies that I accidentally marked watched when I was trying to add to the shared list. So far, our experience is poor.

app makes me think my wifi is down with how much it crashes all of the time.

POS app that doesn't load anything. have deleted and reinstalled 3 times and nothing changes.

Can y'all please add TV Shows as soon as possible 😭 It's so hassle to rate in IMDB for TV show then Letterboxd for Movies. And make the favorites in profile up to 10 entries please please please

nice app but freezes if you use it for more than five minutes straight

horrible new update, please bring back the previous version, it was just better in every way, we don't need this simili-iOS clunky ugly update... edit: And the servers are always down :)

does not work well

Totally bricked. Tried to force stop and restart and it won't even show the loading screen

جميل والله

Me encanta la app, pero con la última actualización de hace unos días, se rompió y no abre. Google Pixel 8, Android 17.

I love the basis of this app. I just want to preface that! But the app is glitchy with ads. It crashes and makes you start from the home page if you scroll for too long looking through pages of recommended movies. I thought it was a one-off the first time but it keeps happening. I haven't been able to get into the app at all today.

Everything is still smaller and harder to see, but not quite as bad. Currently my app won't load. Updated it, force stopped it, and uninstalled and reinstalled it.

the app literally does not work currently. I can not get it to sign in at all, if it even loads the sign in page. usually it's just on the letterboxd logo.

app doesn't open. uninstalled and reinstalled. tried on and off wifi. good internet speeds and 5G data. gave it upwards of 5 minutes each time. couldn't get past the logo when the app starts.

wish they could add the downtime screen to the app

love this app but been experiencing more crashes lately also a frustrating problem has popped up today in which all ratings are showing as 3.4 please fix as I use regularly. tried logging out, clear cache and uninstalling to no avail

letterboxd makes me not want to touch grass, 10/10. (4/5 stars cuz of the obnoxious amount of ads)

I miss you, Ellery.

🫶🏻

my app keeps freezing even after I have tried to close and reopen

overall amazing. only complaint is Dear Evan Hansen the musical used to be on there, but it got removed and now there's only the movie. What's the point of having something on the app for so long, if you're just going to get rid of it?

So glitchy, it crashes and locks the whole phone up. I love Letterboxd as a website but this app is atrocious and unusable, just log in on the browser

memory leak so bad it lags entire device

great app for logging your own movies to keep track, but a horrible place for serious reviews and actual ratings of movies. Most times if it was popular on Instagram the movie will have 4/5 even though they're horrible.

ngl letterbox has been my daily routine

Great concept, terrible execution. The UI feels unnecessarily complicated, basic features are a struggle, and the whole app feels like it was designed to test my patience. ☝🏻⭐ 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Lagging

crashing after 10 seconds

big fan of the app in general but for the last day have been getting tons of error messages & it loads slowly if at all

The app keeps crashing after looking at it for less than half a minute. I can't read any reviews because of that. It might be due to the ads, but if the only way the app can function without crashing is by being a paid member, that's a really really poor business model I refuse to support.

keeps loading

Sooooooooo glitchy. constantly getting errors while browsing and logging movies. why would I pay for ad-free, when this app behaves so badly

app is horrible for leaving an actual option. UI is complicated and pushes you towards simple positive reviews, very quickly deleting thought out opinions. Ive had a very hard time leaving any negative reviews(even though the vast majority of my reviews are positive). the second there is a better option im done with this horrible app.

app freezes and crashes all the time after recent update

As of the latest update the app will crash within ten seconds. As of right now the app has 0 functionality.

awesome

Having the "Watch", "Like", and "Watchlist" buttons tucked away under an extra menu in the mobile app is a true nuisance as that's one of the main uses for the app - tracking. Having those buttons on each movie's landing page is way more user friendly.

you are a very wonderful app coz you have eternal Sunshine of spotless mind a 4+ star rating. good gob!!!

This is Might Be the Best App Ever to Review Movies!

Except for the occasional glitches, this is a must have app if you're a fan of cinema.

Facebook/Google/Twitter login pls. ❤️ 💙 💜 ❤️ 😍

The last few days, the app is constantly freezing. It's been very frustrating to use lately.

freezes after about 10 seconds

great app for logging movies, first time I've thought to myself I wish more people I knew we on this app. please don't sell to Netflix, I would feel so betrayed.

can't even create an account. keeps saying there's a password issue even though I tried multiple increasing lengths and difficulties. I'll stick with IMDb. SYM LB

Love letterboxd but this app has serious performance and stability issues. Even caused a full reboot of my phone (S26 Ultra), never seen anything like it.

Literally does not function, crashes after 10 seconds of opening the app every time. using an s25.

Constant freezing after the last update. Unusable app.

shyte

My favorite app- please never sell it to another company. Also, would love a "translate" button for comments in other languages!!

Letterboxd features a gorgeous, clean user interface that makes logging and tracking watched films an absolute joy. The watchlist and diary systems are exceptionally intuitive for film lovers.

best app in the world, thou login is bad

I used to use this app regularly it was great, simple and easy to use. Uninstalled it a while ago because I stopped using it/watching many movies and I reinstalled it today.. It's done NOTHING but freeze up on me every single time I use it, from initial start up to clicking something or scrolling movies it'll freeze seen a review from 2024 saying the same thing! 2y it's not fixed?! Shocking

Amazing app, but if I use it too long it crashes. Sometimes even after minutes.
