I downloaded this app, did not like it, and cancelled my subscriptions weeks before it expired. I got charged for it again and they are not willing to refund the money, blaming Google play. use on x

This last update has property wrong. The national forest up the road from me is now saying someone owns it. i just rode up there yesterday and its still all national forest

I love the part that the map markers are free without subscription unlike base map that when you put too many it says you need to pay for a subscription thank you for helping out the low budget hunters we really appreciate it

Said it had an update, wouldn't download though, so I Uninstaller it thinking I could get the update when I reinstalled it, but now it won't do that either so im completely locked out and I cant find any sort of contact or support email to let them know.

Not really a bad app it just says that my command camera is in Texas and I live in Minnesota and have never been to Texas

2026 Update, still a Great app. Loads of useful info. Works well. Have had the free app and it is great too. Love the weather info with wind direction sent zone forecasted for your next hunt! Acurate Property boundaries with landowners info helps find new spots. Mapping and waypoints are excellent. Can't say enough plus you can sync you laptop and pc with your phone for easy edits at home. Mark all your stand locations and check the sent zone for the best days action.

the map doesn't work half the time something needs to work like it should if I got lost in the woods I would be out of luck !!!!!!!!?

I downloaded this free app years ago and haved loved it. But the multiple updates over the last year have made it all but useless unless you pay for the Pro version. It's also nowhere near as user-friendly as it used to be. I'll be uninstalling after this review.

downloaded this app to check it out, it's junk says it's 99% raining right now and it's 100% clear with no rain in the past 24 hours or called for in the next 24. location and everything were all synced and triple checked but given wrong info. save your money go somewhere else, I'm still looking myself

Luckily I have a free year's subscription, because it seems I would have to pay for features that I gey for free on other apps. And some of the property lines are off quite a bit. It shows my personal property as 1.29 acres while I have 2.52. It shows my other property at 10.8 while it actually being just under 13 acres. iIt shows my dad having 5.12 and it's actually closer to 4.5. I will definitely be canceling when my free subscription is up.

This has taken my hunting game to a whole new level. Wind direction, camera location and picture sharing, etc. LOVE THIS APP!

it's ok other than on the mapping it shows my property is under someone's name that's never owned the property, same with my neighbors camp it shows there property line but it's in the water and it also shows where there camp is supposed to be is marked under my property. so I should say the property lines and owners is inaccurate I cancelled my subscription for it.

The latest downloads ruined the application, I now don't use it at all, got rid of the Damn Thing in 2023, NOW I've been Billed for it AGAIN, Don't NEED or Want the POS!

it a great app . for hunting and fishing. the price might not be bad for some hunters but for some it's just two costly but the app is a great thing in many ways. truthfully I'm a speaking the truth. y'all have a great app .👍

it makes NO sense why we can only select one overlay to be active.. ALSO, this is very aggravating - I should not have to stop tracking ( making a trail) to add a marker, then start tracking again. two years ago this wasn't the method.... also the marker size is too large for placement accuracy..... the lack of these functionalities makes one search other options!! n

Used this app for years

Having only two subscription tiers ranging greatly from eachother and as far as I can see only a annual fee($35 for "pro" and $100 for "ultimate") is ridiculous and greedy. Satellite maps are very poor quality, 3D maps no not show any level changes in terrain.

App forgets that I have a paid Pro subscription. This is the second time that I've had to contact support because I cant access property information! I believe the last time was after an update, I'm not sure. This time I got a new phone. When i try to access property information it tries to get me to upgrade from basic to Pro or higher. I contacted support and "Sagar Poojary" asked me to provide proof that I have a Pro subscription as they dont show it. Sent screenshots, still not good enough!

Like some of the other hunting apps, it started out pretty decent. Then it changed to if you want weekends or anything else you have to pay for it. It really is disappointing.

it was very easy to use. When it got updated about a year ago they changed everything around and now it's difficult to use.

if there was a way to give this a -5 star i would. being huntstand isn't interested in fixing the 3d issue and has been stringing me along i canceled my subscription and will be looking for a different app for my hunting needs. Being huntstand isn't serious about fixing the 3d map issues that I am having. I am am not going to waste my time. I have been strung along for more than a month now with emails with a little single task or question. I ran out of space to write.

I liked the app as I received a year free trial, but at about 6 months, I was charged $29.99 for something I did not authorize and the app is not user friendly enough to see the charge or even be able to cancel the so called subscription. The directions AI BS gives me does nothing, so I will see if they reply to my message and help resolve this as I will never use something I can not trust of is user friendly.

it use to be an amazing app but it has gradually gotten more difficult to use and has become almost useless now I only have it because it has all my stands marked on it.

You guys have been improving it's getting back to being a pretty good app now.

This company is a scam. they make it incredibly hard to cancel subscription and have changed me 2 consecutive years after I cancelled. Also, OnX is a way better app.

This use to be a good app. But everytime they do an update they make it worse. Its busy, its slower and its overly complicated now just to do simple tasks.

Would heavily heavily not recommend. Company has a data breach, or just sold data, leaking emails, birthdays, names, and passwords according to Malwarebytes. Run a digital footprint scan somewhere to ensure your data is safe.

Even if you turn off all the in-app notifications, you still get spammed with garbage

since all the updates my map wont load. Just shows a black screen with my markers on it. very dissapointed in it the last couple seasons. unfortunately thinking of swapping to Onx. a lifetime purchase point instead of a monthly subscription would also be better.

Spent the extra money to be able to see the monthly updated maps but they are so grainy when you zoom in you can't make out any details.

This was once my go-to source for info on properties, hunting/scouting etc. For the past year it has become pretty much useless and barely functional. And I'm paying for it. time to find a new app!

4/28/2026 I was contacted by a person from Huntstand about an issue I had with paying for it. That person was extremely understanding and made it right. In fact, he went above and beyond. He explained to me that what happened was actually the fault of Google Play and that he couldn't get me a refund. He did offer me another option that was very redeeming. I think that this shows the company cares about the customer and is willing to work things out to both parties satisfaction. They're a 10⭐

they leaked my info/email to darkweb. DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR USE YOUR EMAIL

huntstand wants me to email them about a known issue that has plenty of reviews talking about it. instead of actively working to fix the issue and patching it they want to "trouble shoot" something that isn't an issue with settings or my phone but an actual bug in their app.

don't try to cancel your subscription they keep charging you

Read the recent reviews. The app "used to be good" but has fallen victim to poor management practices. Why can't the engineers figure out how to save and restore my current state? Seems like high-school programming but yet eludes these guys.

I have used this app for several years. I have bragged about this app to everyone I know. The last year has been a total failure. it is now unusable. It's a total shame. I have used this for everything, now I can't use it for anything. As soon as I pick one of my save locations the screen stays black......

every hunting app it says see plans like it tells you you have to buy a plan when it cleary should be free for all hunters and new to hunting if I could I would give this zero stars trying to find a FREE TO USE APP that I dont have to pay for

I have used this app for several years and im ready to find something else! lost all my saved locations magically during an upgrade and no way to recover them..had to go off memory to remark them....then here recently the app takes forever to load if it loads at all....super hard to get a satellite view also if at all!

An okay app since I don't want to spend money on an app like this however my notifications are off in the settings and yet at least once a day I get a notification from the app. please fix this or I will have to uninstall and find something else. Yes it is an issue for me. My notifications should be the ones that I need to get not ones I don't need.

You guys have monkeyed around with this app to the point it is no longer useable. I keep accepting your updates thinking it will get better like it used to be, but it gets even worse. I will not be renewing my subscription. When software works, leave it alone.

used to love this App. BUT realized the property information was not being properly updated. have requested my property boundaries to be corrected for almost a year with no success. have sent county tax parcel and GIS Information with no results. people using app think portions of my property is owned by someone else. have advised them to use another accurate App

used to love the app, was reliable but as with other people I see since last October or so it's really acting up, always starts out at a black screen, doesn't save or follow all my trails I walk, really hurt my last hunting season and it's now if affecting my spring shed season. about to cancel and get onX if something doesn't happen very soon

Would not allow me to transfer my pro subscription to my new phone.

You fixed something that wasn't broke with your updates. I hardly ever use it anymore. Get rid of your gurus and get somebody with some common sense and hunting experience

The app used to be great, (I used HS for a decade plus). Within the last few updates later it's garbage. It will not save items without taking a million years and some luck if it even saves at all. This past season, it's tracking system has failed more times than it worked. Saved the track, then go back and it's missing. Most of my pins I save through a hunt or scouting trip, are gone. Every email to huntstand, they respond with, clear cache and or reinstall the app. Unacceptable.

I upgraded to the pro and the app still says I need to upgrade. I have logged out and logged back in and the issue is still the same.

Horrible customer service. Was not happy with the purchase and canceled in 3 days after buying as black Friday deal. Sent screen shot of canceled subscription and promised refund with 5-10 business days. Two months have gone by since then and upon following up got a response that refund time has lapsed. Upon further enquiry I was informed that wrong information related to refund was given to me however company has canceled auto renewal 😀. DO NOT BUY ULTIMATE SUBSCRIPTION, NOT WORTH THE $

I don't understand. it seems to me you can't see property lines without paying for pro but there's no trial or anything to prove that it actually works well so how are people supposed to lay out that money without even knowing that it's not just vaporware? updated app and lost every pin I had for the second time. It won't happen again

The app has become unreliable for weather and wind direction. I choose wind direction and it reflects the time at noon but it's actually 6am. And when I open the app my managed locations still shows old locations that I've deleted. The app still is unreliable for weather predictions. Wind direction is critical when hunting whitetail deer.

every update gets worse. you cant zoom in to an area without the map disappearing and you only seeing your pins. Instead of saving to your hunt area, every time you open the app it brings you to your real time location. somethings new is always disappearing. lidar and 3d topo are a joke, to zoom in far enough to see fine detail it all disappears. seems like the more you pay for apps the worse they get. well done guys, you managed to screw this one up. update sucked. no email response either

Have used it a lot in the past; however, recently the scent cone has been 180 degrees off. The app will show the correct wind direction on the starting page, but will show the wrong direction on the scent cone.

This used to be my go-to app for hunting. It has been majorly inaccurate lately, especially with wind direction. I'm not sure what happened.

well as anyone considering installing this app can see by the reviews these problems have been happening since the end of 2025 . To say they are frustrating isn't enough. Going in the woods to a spot in a new area ,in the dark and having maps quit or show you in a completely different location is unacceptable not to mention dangerous. Please just fix these problems or I'm sure you'll be losing customers. Onx is looking better.

This USED to be a good app. The annual prices went up, and their quality went down. Very disappointed the maps never load anymore. Deleting and unsubscribing.

Screwed up the tracking. The app it self is pretty good. I have enjoyed the app for the last 3years. Being able to mark stands and hunting areas. I like to track my path while hunting and mark stands found and animals killed on the hunt. Well sometime since last season the update changed things. I used to be able to mark things while tracking my path but now I have to stop and save the path before marking objects. Then start the track back up. it's a real pain and time consuming.

Wind is constantly wrong when displayed on map. Contradicting information from weather to map. The updated platform is terrible. Paid for it and then recieved access for 3 months, shows on my statement and yet not a year subscription. Was this app boight out? Time to change platforms to something that works.

The lidar never works correctly and no help. Almost impossible to cancel subscription. Do not subscribe to this app.

since the app updated I've had problems with the screen being black. No satellite image. I've force closed 2 times now. That's what the tech people for the app said. Didn't work. Who ever made the app. Could you please fix the problem

It sucks. was great until they "improved" it. Now the maps are ten years old and the location marking is a joke.

it wont load properties. it wont save new areas. if you click on your saved properties, it doesnt take you them. you have to find them yourself.

UPDATE Dec 30, 2025 After a very timely response from GSM regarding my last review update concerning a constant pop up and screen changes, the issues I had experienced were resolved to my satisfaction. On my last two hunts, the app worked as it should. Bravo GSM Support.

I was just notified by Experian that this app, or huntstand itself,let my personal information go into the dark net. Dont download this app if you have info on your phone that you dont want out there. Because of them letting my info out,it has cost me alot of money, time and a whole bunch of aggravation.

Used to be great, their new update has made the free version of this app useless and worse then the pop ups of the early days of the internet. every 5 seconds it pops an upgrade to unlock map box add. Completely removed the map functionality of this app without the pay to play. have used various versions of this app for probably close to 10 years. It is now getting deleted. Ridiculous that they deleted what used to be a good app.

this app is absolute garbage, even with all the updates your way points don't want to upload at times, you have to jump back and forth between your hunt locations to have your way points show up. then the wind prediction doesn't want to work right 95% of the time. all these issues are while having cell service and wifi as well. if i didn't have most of my way points saved in this app I'd delete it.

There's no map. it's updated 3 times and still no map. You'd think they'd remember the important part when doing update software.

App has gone downhill, I used to like it, but as other users have said, maps are now black when you open, you have to click map layers for maps to show up for stand locations. Previously the wind data for stand locations was reliable, now, not so much, I checked hunt stand app wind direction against my Stealth Cam Command Pro app and Accuweather hourly forecasts. The Hunt Stand app was way off in both wind speed and direction. I bought the subscription and it provides basically zero benefit.

I loved this app for years... 2025 hunting season rolls around, they change everything and the app stops working.

Terrible app and customer service. The app never functioned properly during the free trial. I messed up and let it renew. I requested a refund the day of. No refund was allowed, and their customer service agent was tone deaf. Support companies that give good products or customer service. This company offers neither.

This use to be a great app but this new version is horrible. Crashes, won't load, the weather is off for the days, the wind prediction is different than the forecast. I could go on. I told them the new version is bad. Looks like I'm not the only one having problems with it.

Very glitchy. Maps don't load most of the time. Wind indicator doesn't work a lot of the time. Has been going on for 5 months now. I'm tired of dealing with it and switching to OnX. I like the price that you get all of the states but it doesn't matter if the maps wont load.

was 5 star but taking it to a 1 star. open my hunt area and its just a black screen until I choose what type of map I want. then it will only load one kind of map. then the wind information is always different. one time it tells me its blowing at 6 mph in one direction then I can back out get back in and it tells me its blowing in a different direction at a different mph. please fix, once fixed will change my star rating.

been using for years! but this year nothing but trouble, the wind gauge is never right the time stamps, direction, and speed never right. idk what ya'll did to your app but you need to switch it back to how it was years ago cause this year its worst app by far.

I have used this app for years and it used to be great. Very low price for the add free version. However, since last years uptades and new look (2024/5) the app has taken a hit. Specifically the Trace Path feature now does not work. I am using latest version *.0.063 and after assurances from developers, it fails.

this app is sooo junk, everything about it sucks. I will not be recommending it to anyone I know and will be actively telling everone how bad it is!

My maps got messed up once again. I think im gonna quit updating because everytime I do it has an issue, or my info gets scrubbed away.

this app is not worth it. not accurate, very sluggish, monthly view is grainy, property lines don't come close to lining up with property markers. this app was way better three years ago.

sent cone is complete opposite of real time wind direction. Map glitches. this app use to be top tier, now its starting to go bad. Ive used this app since it was scoutlook, I've even paid the past 3 years for the 30 sum dollar subscription. if they dont tighten up in the next couple weeks then I'll be going with on X.

I've had this app for many years, and it's always done good until this year. Around October, I noticed that the wind direction would not be current or accurate on the app versus the weather channel. A black screen would always appear 1st, And when I would pick a certain location to check wind, it would always go to one particular site over and over and I would have to go back-and-forth to get it to finally download a particular location.. it's frustrating. Im thinking about canceling.

Have used the app for years and it's been great. starting this year the updates made it unusable. Hated to do it, as Onyx is not as good as this used to be, but cancelled my subscription. Won't pay for an app that doesn't work.

Have the free version and my hunt areas will not load unless I go to overlays and change the hybrid to satellite and back. Then area will show with my camera locations.

This app is garbage it doesn't want to load and it switches from satellite image then to a different image and on the wind it will work one time but the next time it won't work at all I DONT RECOMMEND THIS APP AT ALL !!!!!!!! and the customer service is horrible.. app doesn't work most of the time, and the solunar hasn't been accurate 1 time this year in any of my hunt areas. The map won't load about 60-70% of the time, it is just a black screen with the marker for my current location but no matter if you zoom in or out just black. Tried updating and there aren't any updates at this time. So in other words people, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS APP, IT'S GOT A LOT OF INACCURATE DATA AND JUST DOESN'T WORK!!!

Worked awesome until this latest update. I've lost all my pins from my properties and unable to get them back. The app was great by allowing me to share all the stand/blind locations to members of my hunt club. The update makes the entire functionality way worse, I don't even bother with the app anymore. Very disappointing! Canceled my subscription and moved on to another app. App is working after the last update! Thanks

I love the quality of the maps however on a recent trip out west I lost all of my pins for hunting spots even with downloading offline maps if a remedy isn't found ill have no choice but to switch to another's platform any help would be appreciated thanks

Maps stop working so I signed out and now it won't let me sign back in. Says I have an account but I tried to change my password and it was changed but I can't get back in

I've used this app for a few years now. it used to be great, but here recently I'm having all kinds of issues with it. Mainly that it won't load my hunting areas. Once open, it will run smoothly until it just starts spinning. I'm probably going to switch to On X.

UPDATE** 12/04/2025 I've used this app for years and even put several others onto this once awesome Gem of an App but now its pointless. The app has been acting up and recently and would like to see it back to how it was.

30 bucks for a garbage app that won't load the map half the time no matter what I do? Fix your issues.

Absolutely useless. No maps, just black screen. I'll be ending my subscription ASAP.

I have had this app for several yrs. it started out as a really good source for hunting info but it's went down hill the last couple of year's. I've been a loyal customer and pushed away from other hunting apps but this is getting ridiculous, glitches, its slow and wrong weather info. please correct these problems and I'll continue to be a loyal customer.

App has gotten worse. this used to be my go to but now things don't load correctly, also when I select a hunt area the maps doesn't go there and goes to my current location so anytime I close out I have to re-zoom back to my hunt area. The weather has been consistently incorrect lately and the wind direction with the huntzone has bee bad wrong. You also used to be able to have one free state on property lines but not anymore. OnX is definitely winning on "user friendly."

PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE. This app use to be great but now I can't even use it. the entire screen goes black and it is un usable at this point. I rely heavily on this app for many mapping features. I am throughly disappointed in this recent update and it has virtually destroyed this app.

App doesnt give easy way to cancel your subscription.

well since last year, they continuedto degrade the product. the measurement utilities are a real cluster from last year. why fix what aint broke. makes wonder why i continue to pay for this.

In the last year the app has had nothing but problems. I can no longer manage over lays or navigation features if I'm in an area without signal (which is all the time where I hunt). There have been too many glitches to count, including most recently yesterday the app not recognizing that I pay for the premium subscription, locking me out of most of the features, and then constantly bombarding me with messages to pay (again) for a subscription package. All this occurring when I'm trying to hunt.

app worked great until new update. Map will not load and always shows a SE wind on wind direction.

It started glitching non stop. I emailed support and they ask me to try the same thing I already tried then never heard from them again. sucks I just paid 100$ for garbage. every time I need it to work it has constant problems and isn't worth the effort to try to deal with it. save your money and try a different app. I'm so fed up with this.
