USED TO be perfect but now I'm uninstalling I've used this app for over a year and it was perfect. Everything I had was colour coordinated, had all my friends on it. Then suddenly overnight a while back all my colours are gone and turned into categories that I HAVE to sort events by... and now I have to PAY to have over 5?? Yeah, none of my friends use this anymore. It's dead. I'm disappointed and uninstalling. Gonna go find a different app.

Totally found myself getting more organised than ever. Whether it's with friends, family, hobbies or else.

everything used to be free and now it has to be paid? the colours, choices and others used to be free. why does it have to be paid now? if it was before all the updates, I'd give it a 5 star but now im giving it a 2 because everything that was free, now has to be paid. not worth it.

Howbout you tell people the pricing structure and features available to each tier before people download and sign up? Rather than people spending time signing up and giving you their info just to then find out that access to any potentially usable capacity requires an expensive subscription. Even then, the functionalities are novice at best and are incomplete, requiring users to refer to other channels to finalise organising.

It was a very good calendar in the beginning but now all the useful stuff like color coordinated categories or homescreen widgets are locked behind a paywall. Frustrated that I've been using this app and those features for a long time and now I can't. The price isn't bad, but again its disappointing.

Update: I have moved to Timetree. Forced to update now all my preassigned colours will be removed and I have to assign all my tasks to a limited 5 categories meaning only 5 colours can be used for all tasks unless paying to upgrade. I had found this app really useful it was perfect for organising but now with the limitations to colours it has become useless I will be looking elsewhere I messaged the email to try and resolve the issue. It's an AI trying to fix things with no customer service

Could barely get through the setup. it asks for email, phone number, contacts, birthday, membership plan, widgets, themes (which costs a membership). It only needs to be a shared calendar that shows time gaps. I just know this will give me phishing emails and sell my data to the highest bidder. Instead of doing the setup, go and watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy; a better use of the same amount of time.

Loved this app but this new update takes away basically all of the customization

starting to enshittify. I just keep getting more annoying notifications when it used to be only the ones I wanted. I have turned off "messages from howbout team" a few times and it's not saving the settings update. keep getting messages about upgrading to premium. I don't want it. I don't need the weekly widget. stop.

My friend sent me a code and the app said to click on it but when I did the app never went through. I deleted it and reinstalled it and had the same problem

Loves to spam constant, pointless notifications getting me to open the app for no reason at all. Has no obvious option to sync or export events to my calendar at all.

ridiculous setup process, dozens of data grabbing requests, immediate sign up at cost suggestions and wouldn't let me move past the setup process without inviting a friend and having them join so as to 'unlock' the app. gtfo

I have been stuck on the page asking for contact permissions for ages. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app restarting my phone but I can't leave the page to log out or join a calendar. I don't understand.

Terrible. Won't reccommend Howbout is honestly one of the shittiest apps when it comes to signing up. The app is supposed to make planning and organizing with friends easier, but somehow it manages to make something as simple as creating an account unnecessarily annoying. The biggest problem is that Howbout requires users to have a phone number just to sign up. Like, seriously? Why? Not everyone has a phone number, especially people who use Wi-Fi-only tablets or devices without cellular service.

cannot click the tiny x in the top of the screen to dismiss the initial prompt to pay for the premium version. as a result, app is non functional. setup has crazy friction, wdym you need a phone, and email, followed by 10 prompts just to get locked out by a UI bug

To relogin now you need your phone number and I kept getting an error. when I finally got my sms for the OTP it said another error and then later on saying that I used that number too many times. Maybe give more login options??

the new color update made me uninstall this app lmao... ive used it for so long cause of how convenient and easy it is to add events but they've started putting too many things behind paywall (even colors for some reason??) and the new system for setting event colors is so bad. I've used this app for years btw but the new updates are atrocious

The new update has ruined it, it's limited colours to categories and also only given us 8 pretty ugly colours to choose from, I loved it before but now I've had to stop using it because it's simply ugly and hard to read

Es una idea muy buena, la app en si tiene cosas muy buenas de base, pero una cosa que para mi la hace inutil es que no tenga widget de calendario como lo tiene el de google. Y resulta que si lo tiene, pero en la versión de pago, que es absurdamente cara (40€ al año) para lo que aporta. Al final por ese motivo nunca llega a ser mi app principal porque me olvido hasta del nombre y como han cambiado los colores he tenido que buscar en google y me ha lanzado otras opciones de calendarios con amigos

I used to love this app and even as friends and family stopped using it due to new updates, I still kept it as my primary calender. This recent update was the final straw. I already colour code my events, but they were all changed to the same colour and to colour code them again means using the apps very limited categories or paying money to customise it. I am not paying to use a calender. Each update was worse than the last. After 4 faithful years I have uninstalled this for a better app.

Finally uninstalling after using it since before howbout+ existed. I was fine w/ a premium because server costs, but now it's just getting ridiculous. I have to pay to change what my event categories (which I didn't want in the first place) are called?? To have the color red??

This was literally the number 1 app on my phone, but with the new update they took away the ability to "freely" sort my plans and programes. Before at leats I colud chose the color of my damn plans and organize them this way, but now the app forces me to put my stuff in dumb chaterogies to color them. Awful.

Need to register, choose, plan, decide, invite, another person do all the steps and accept our invitation, then only we can get inside the app. Huhh!! And most of the features are for premium subscriptions.

I liked this app, I used to organize my every day using it, color coding more than 300 events over the past year and a half. But one day the app asks if I want to keep my existing random color categories, to wich i say yes, and all my colors from each of my events dissapear. I contact them in 3 different places, 10 times, over 1 month, no response, other than an AI slop saying it has redirected my message to them. Never seen worst customer service in my life. Don't install, save your tears.

Howbout is a brilliant alternative to social media that encourages organization and cooperative planning. Arguably there's a whole feature for doom scrolling, but considering what you're really doing is seeing what plans your friends and family have, I'd say it's just a better use of your time than most doom scroll platforms👍

I honestly did love this app, for about 3 years. Until recently when the update took away the ability to colour code your events with any colour. Now you have to dedicate a colour to one category and only have a few colours available. If you want the rest, you need to pay. As a student the different colours helped me see my semester tests, assignments practicals ect. on the calendar without opening up the event. It's a mess. I have since moved to a different app, and uninstalled this one.

They're only focused on how much money they can get out of users now. This was my go-to calendar app for the shareability and color organization, I even used it to keep track of my period for gods sake. The free tier had like 12 different colors you could mark events with, but after the most recent update for can only use 5 of 8 'free' colors at a time. And I now have to go in and manually reassign colors to all my events. Safe to say I'm finding a new calendar app. 👎

I've been using and enjoying this app for the better part of a year to share and color code my schedule with other people. Now, despite having access for months, I have to pay to have that color coding system back. Time to look for a better option that doesn't try to nickel and dime you after its "how can we improve" surveys.

was a very good and helpful app to keep track of my life before the new update. I had everything color coded and used this app for almost a year with absolutely no issues. post update, had to switch to a different calendar that I can color code myself. bring back the old howbout

The app was great before they took all of the free features away. Just as all of the recent reviews state, they've become greedy and will no longer allow color coding unless you pay. I am close to deleting the app at this point.

I was one of the beta users cheering the creators on from the beginning and even left a 5 star review previously, however their last update has wiped out all of my colour coding data that I have built over the years and when I tried reaching out I only got a response from AI. When I requested for a team member I had no response altogether. It's such a shame to see a really great company skipping on customer service.

I used to love this app. I've used it for years. Now they have taken away even being able to use the different colours without using categories that you can't choose or paying for premium. Emailed support like reply said to and got an unhelpful AI response. Requested human response and got an automated reply saying it was unlikely I will get any response. Removing existing free functionality and locking it behind a paywall is shockingly disappointing. Really upset.

This WAS the best app ever. You can link your calendar with other people. So I use it for my joint business with a friend so we can see each other's availability. Im a VERY organised person. I have 2 jobs, a busy family life ect so my Calendar was perfectly colour coded so I could see the difference. Then one day I go on and the app had stripped the colours off all my beautifully organised life and was asking me to pay to then go on and re-colour everything AGAIN! So mad and devastated 💔

I can't stand the new update, it ruined my calendar and honestly has made me more than likely delete the app because I can't color code my classes individually anymore. so unfortunate because I really loved the app before this update :(

I have used and loved this app for almost 4 years and now I have to figure out how to combine 10 different activities/events into 5 PRE-NAMED (I can't even change the emoji icon) categories, unless I pay for Howbout+ that gets all the colors and fancy custom organization tools. This is absurd.

i love this app. i have been using it for a very long time and it has been perfect. until recently they updated it to where u can only customize colours when u have paid premium. definitely negatively affected my experience.

Amazing...until it wasn't. I'm a dispatcher w/ a really complicated/inconsistent schedule. The color coding made a huge difference in separating my day shifts from my night shift. It also made it super easy for my friends to understand my schedule. Im highly considering deleting the app as most of friends have or will. If I wanted a simple calendar I'd just use the free Google one. I liked how easy and whimsy this was. Every month less & less features are free & money is their only concern now

this app started out amazing! I was ablento coordinate and color code everything I needed to tk make syre all of my events were clearly separated and I didn't forget appointments or other important events I had going on amongst all the craziness at work. However, the last year these people have become so money hungry that they took away all the best features of the app and made it so you had to pay for a membership. This is a calendar app, not a social media platform or a streaming service. 🤬

Who thought it was a great Idea to gatekeep the app behind having to invite a new person, when you just want to share a calendar with an existing user?

Howabout used to be the go to for me and friends to easily create events and invite one another but as each update comes, the app's functionality has gotten worse to try and encourage you to buy premium. The app has stripped all of the colours from previous events to get you to categorise them but you are only limited to 5 free ones that you cannot change the name and removed some of the previously free colours. The lack of customisability is why we've all had to stop using it.

Removed over a year of colour coding overnight. They need to bring this back quickly or they're going to have a mass exodus from their app, as other apps don't require payment for this. I've been using Howbout for 4 years. 4 YEARS. I've been the most loyal user. I've left 5 star reviews, done every survey, followed the Instagram page, and even got my friends and family to download it. Until last year. Howbout suddenly turned from an amazing calendar app that had all you needed, to a money-hungry platform that only wanted the users to buy the subscription. Steadily, all the features became exclusive. My last straw was when they took away the color customization. I'M HEARTBROKEN.

the new update is very disappointing and very restricting not how it used to be. very unhappy with how things turned out, still like the format but why am I being forced to categorize events AND have limited colors I can used and limited categories unless I pay. again very disappointing, if I could un-update i would.

I absolutely love this app but now unless you pay for plus you've drained my whole calendar of colour because I can't customise my categories (why custom option is behind the pay wall is beyond me) and the available ones don't make sense to me as an adult. I was a huge fan of this app and use it to share events with my friends as well as my own calendar. I was super disappointed when they took away the custom colors on the free tier, though. I love to color coordinate everything and now there are not enough colors of categories available to me. It honestly makes me really sad and I don't like the way my calendar looks anymore.

Took a star off for the pointless 'home page' that concentrates on your friend's updates (I'm the only one that actively uses it) Then a point off when I found out that they are broadcasting my plans to people that aren't invited! Now another point off as they have removed all the colour coding requiring you to start again (and of course pay). I had an imminent trip that I had colour coded travel, accommodation, tours, etc. All gone. Thanks Howbout.

I've used this app for years and absolutely loved it. This morning I logged on and all my colour categories had been wiped and I now have to pay if I want them organised back to how they were. Even if I was to use the free colours or pay for more I'd still have to go back through every event and recolour it as they are all showing as grey. Disappointed and will now not be using this app and going back to using the free calendar on my phone

Hate the new update. Colours are blocked behind a paywall. All of my organisation of my work is gone. It was a lot easier to see at a glance where I was supposed to be with work. Now it's all gone. Cant even change the title of the categories or the images

the new update messed up my layout a lot and I'm genuinely upset about it. I had custom colors for every event and it was easy to figure out what event I had that day at a glance, and when I checked the app this morning, all I saw was a bunch of gray! all my colors gone in an instant, a year and a half of organization, gone in an instant, with absolutely no notice or rhyme or reason. I do not care about the categories, but having it be the only color an event can get is just plain stupid.

they keep taking and taking features that were once free to try to get us to buy premium, it's genuinely almost unusable now. The free version only has 3 categories now, 6 or so colours, it's disgusting

The app used to be great, now everything is being shoved behind paywalls and has completely messed up hundreds of plans i've already inputted on the app. I'm now going to have to manually move everything over to a different app. Incredibly disappointed

Im leaving this here as a long time user. I am actually so upset with the new updates to the app. everything that is apart of the Howbout+ used to be free. now they want you to spent $40 a year to use them!?this is unfortunate but I am now really looking into deleting this app bc it is becoming more and more ab the $$ and less about how it used to be.

This app is super helpful for coordinating with friends HOWEVER they just made an update that removes options for custom color categorization. While you previously could pick between like 10 colors (more for plus members) for any individual event. Now, unless you're paying, you are limited to 6 colors (3 of which are some version of blue) and they have to be tied to one of 5 pre-labeled categories. The ability to categorize things is great in theory, but this is an infuriating execution of it

The app is genuinely great, it makes creating and sharing plans way easier. However it is sad that it's getting more and more locked behind the premium subscription :/ Having a premium feature is understandable, but the free version is getting very limited in terms of personalisation and free reign over your own organization :((

Slowly removing features and adding them to premium subscription. I can no longer colour code my activities, i need to associate them with one of a couple built in categories, why? The categories don't satisfy my requirements, I use this app primarily to prevent my band and my work from clashing with my social, personal, and tutoring. i need all of these things colour coded but it is no longer possible. Really disappointed given I have hundreds of activities saved in this app this year.

This app was really good. I went on and found an update. This update has forced you to go from lots of color options to only 5 categories. The team was very helpful. However, this really limits customisability, the worst update/change yet.

Howbout is by far the best calendar app for sharing plans with friends, but it's quickly going downhill. Almost every feature, premium leaning or basic, is becoming pay-walled. Just recently they got rid of custom colors for events in favor of a 5 color locked category system. Want what you had before, for free, back? Pay money. It also has so many "quirky" features like memes that will automatically be placed on your events. It also crashes *very* often. I wish there was a better app.

Since the update you now can't access most of the colours unless you pay to subscribe. Really disappointed as this was one of the main features that set it apart.

It was perfect until they introduced a paid plan. Now I need to pay to get more than 5 colors for my events (or even to rename the useless categories). "Work" is not useful, I want to separate normal days, traded days, and overtime days with different colors. Nope work can only be one color and I can't even rename the other categories without paying.

Absolutely loved it when I could colour code how I wanted to. They kept changing the colour system, which was irritating, and now with the categories I hate it.

Really liked this app however the latest update has made having colours for your events a paid feature now. This has made the calendar look dull and confusing. This is a basic feature on most calendar apps so I don't see why it should be a paid feature all of a sudden. Disappointed 😞

I used to really like this app; it helped me so much. Then they started 'updating' it by continuously resetting or changing their color coding system. I had my system, they changed it and erased all my color coding for some pre-set color themes. I reset up my color system, only to open the app today to find that now you only get 5 different uses of colors unless you wanna pay extra. Howbout was a perfectly functional, free calendar app and now they're making it worse to try to get more money.

I used to love howbout but they keep adding or changing features meaning that the organisation I have in my calendar is constantly being disrupted, I have each event type of event colour coordinated now howbout have decided to force me into specific event types that don't fit my organisation whilst turning all my event colours back to plain blue, it's not the first time this app has caused this kind of disturbance either. Might have to start looking at other calendars apps!

GIVE ME BACK MY COLORS!!!!!!!! I don't like the new category color update. It ruined the look of my calender. I already had different colors for different things. There's no more freedom, you now have to pay for things you used to be free. It's not even as customizable unless you create different categories, it used to be was so much easier AND FREE! I'm so disappointed. I thought the category update would give you tabs to see your different categories, similar to viewing your friends calenders.

genuinely used to LOVE this app so much as was so useful BUT with this new update where instead of choosing your own colours for specific things they've now removed a LOT of the free colours and are now managed through "categories" instead of just the colours themselves because they're now getting greedy. I don't have enough colours now to coordinate my events like I used to before this updated and I REFUSE to pay for something I ALREADY HAD YESTERDAY just because the company wants more money

great for setting up plans, but used to have at least 12 colors for no payment. with the new update they give you like 4. sucks because ive used those colors for coordination for the past 3 years.

Calendar sync is always very awkward to navigate and use but the app isn't too bad. However I'm using an old account and it won't let me delete events that aren't on any of my calendars anymore that I want gone.

amazing app. 4 stars because when I try to open sometimes it kicks me right out about 5 times before I can actually use it (samsung s21) annoying, but the actual app makes up for it

It really is everything I was looking for. My friends and I have been hanging out for a long time, and this is really well made. Everything you need is free, but you can also pay for more customization.

would not let me continue through the starting log in proses without adding friends, I just wanted this app so I could pair with my mom's Google calendar (I cannot have Google calendar my self) I don't want her to have to have the app (She often has to delete apps just so he phone does not crash) just so I can know if my swim practice is canceled. I uninstalled this app because it is useless 😒.

honestly I do enjoy this app it's extremely helpfull especially when making plans with others my only issue is that you have to invite people when you download the app and you can't invite people who already have the app

Super overrated, its hard to use and super annoying to change the time of events. its clearly only targeted towards friend groups for planning hangouts, while I need an app for sharing work schedules with my friends so we can plan things. I would recommend using a different app either way

great app. it's a good source to use when planning. the only thing that annoys me is when I set a specific time, it'll shorten the time down by like an hour- so I have to go back and fix it again. but otherwise it's a great app I enjoy using.

Great for keeping everything organised at home, sport, school, and work. The kids can book an event and instantly see whether we, as a family, already have plans for that day or time. Our family rule: If it's not on Howbout, you can't go. 😉

absolutely irritating to navigate, set times, everything. most things are behind a pay wall. The app kept changing what I modified and overall it was an aggravating experience to try and actually use the app. I'm sure there's better out there.

its a great app, I use it with my boyfriend. only thing is, it crashes when you try adding your own picture sometimes. been happening a lot more, it just wont load then wont add it to your calender. aswell as it adjustes the "end time" for you, it always reduces the time I set it to. which is annoying to go into and have to manually fix it again.

The app does not work on Android. It lets me put my number in, it lets me verify my phone number, but once I get to the email screen it doesn't let me progress from there. And it lags and glitches my phone once I try to leave the app. I've uninstalled, I've restarted, I've cleared storage and cache. It does not work.

this is honestly a great app. My friend group uses it to invite each other to various things and keep tabs on exactly when everyone is busy, especially helpful for us since we like to go camping altogether in the summer. it lets you do all kinds of things, even choose color palettes for your calendar but also for your friends and their events, and adding gifs to the thumbnail. Each event even has its own chat, so you can talk to each other without cluttering your other group chats. I love it

The app itself is good, but every now and then when I open it, it shows like "New!", and crashed right after, get a notification "Howbout suddenly stopped working" notification, close it, try again and it works after, don't know why it happens but it's annoying after a few times.

Really tried to get people to use this app, through all the image sending issues etc, the thing that killed it was sending notifications to friends for things they weren't invited to. That's surely the biggest no no, telling everyone things they're not invited to. We're lucky it didn't cause a row really. The privacy settings are too confusing if that's what the problem was. Group gave up with it, back to messenger chats

App is good; however, my friend was unable to move past the invite page and use the app as we were all signed up and they were the last to sign up- she was quite literally stuck on the invite page unable to do anything with the app entirely. I've not had this as a problem with the app before when only me and one other friend used it last so this is disheartening that my other friend is unable to join our calendar to see what we're up to.

junk, forces you to spam friends! you cannot progress through the setup until you have sent invite links to at least 3 friends, and even checks to make sure you actually sent them out, you can't just make the code! I should not be FORCED to share your app before I even tried it! what if I don't like it? I still have to share the code to an app I don't even end up liking? No, I'll send spammy app invites AFTER and ONLY AFTER I have tried the app myself!

Definitely not the best calendar app available due to limited functionality Still no widget despite that being the reason for today's update. There's no option to customize reminders. Past events can't be cleared or hidden from the "feed" and the user should be able to choose what screen opens when they open the app. If I choose to make my entire work schedule yellow to separate it from personal plans, it should be able to show up in yellow on the "at-a-glance" calendar.

It's really easy to invite friends and set up events. So far there aren't any annoying ads. You can have any limit of things in one day. There are options of who can see it and what they can see it as. Everyone can create events that can happen at any time or any day. Honestly my new favorite calendar app! I highly recommend it for families, friends, besties, siblings, etc.

I used to feel okay about this app. tt works okay as a shared calender. I find the whole thing glitchy and overwhelming. I cant open a day without a pop up for making an entrie. I find the color choices overwhelming, as I cant tone them down or difrientriate the colors well. I am also currently running into a problem with my times glitching out. I try to put in 1pm and it switches to 5pm. it didnt used to do that, but its my final straw. Im only still using it cause my stuffs in here. plz fix.

This app is AMAZING for creating events and sharing them with your spouse, friends, family etc. Very easy to use and understand. No annoying ads. It hasn't asked me to pay for anything either which is great but I think I would if I needed a monthly subscription. Definitely download this app if you're looking for an effective, clean and easy to use shared calendar!

One if the new favorite apps for my friends on I. it has made it way easier to compare all of our schedules side by side, and let us plan our get togethers. It has also exposed how much of a busy body I am 😆 The only negatives at this time are that it won't always let you select an option other than daily for repeating events, and for some reason it won't let me select different days of the week if it does let me select weekly.

You have to get someone else to link their account with yours in order to even use the app. Terrible design. All I wanted was a separate calendar I could use, if It was good I could potentially link with others but not even allowing you to use it as a basic calendar is such a basic feature that I have to question their basic understanding of what a consumer wants when looking for a calendar app.

I love this app! It's been great to use with my partner since we're in a long-distance relationship, and it's super fun to add personal photos and messages. Recently, there's been some glitches I've noticed. I try to change the time on events I make, and for some reason it jumps the time back by a couple of hours (I'll put "3pm-4pm," but it saves as "12-1pm"??) Also, I created a new event with a chosen photo, but when I click create, it'll put a gif on it instead?? Really hope this gets fixed!

It's a good app, does what you expect it to. I use it for my wife and myself to plan. We have included friends in the past but they're hesitant to use it. I dropped the score by two stars because I've reached out to support multiple times about changing phone number with no response. This app only uses your phone number for an account without any backup recovery option. Don't change your phone number!!

really enjoy how easy and simple it is to use, The sign up process is a bit annoying as it took a few hours for me to be able to join but aside from that. There aren't any ads or paywalls. My only quif is that the colors are too similar and when you have a big group they tend to look the same. Wish we could use a color spectrum or just be able to have a wider variety of colors instead of 5 green 2 blue 1 orange and 4 pinks and a red

Response to developer: It's not just a little frustrating. It makes the app unusable. I don't want to use it with a huge friend group. I want to use it with one person, my partner. Who already has it downloaded. So, it is a required step that is not able to be gotten past. ---- They still require you to invite three friends and have one person sign up with your link to be able to use the app. Ridiculous.

getting a 1 star because I downloaded this app to join my wife who already has it, however its unusable until I find someone else? thats stupid if your app is good enough for people to actually use then you dont have to force the issue Edit for reply: no, it doesn't. It's a cheap trick to try and force more people to download your app. which we've already moved away from because you think sending random notifications for no reason is okay too. 8 in 2 days none of them about my schedule.

I would agree what others said that forcing you to invite three friends is ridiculous. The whole reason I'm trying out the app is to see if it's useful or usable before inviting my friends. So while I get that it's intended to be used with friends, I need to understand how it works before recommending it to others and asking them to download an app and create an account. I think you should definitely allow users to move past that part of the invite if they want, it's a bit insulting to insist

even if you have friends on the app already, at least one new person has to sign up with your link, which doesn't sit well with me. i'm the consumer, not the marketer, and i would suggest it to more friends if it were good. but i can't even check if it is edit: you're not understanding the issue here. i have friends who would join if i invited them, but i can't invite people to put their information in an app that i haven't been able to try or even see. i won't reccomend it before trying it

Kind of frustrated. I had a s10+ for years and it worked wonderfully with my kids and their phones to line up our schedules. I just upgraded to a newer phone and while it let me install without problems when I go to log in it tells me my app isn't supported with my phone number. it's a newer phone with better hardware and software then then last phone should work.

I really want to give the app 5 Stars because I do find it useful myself, but for an app that advertises itself on social planning I find it ironic that I've had so much trouble getting my partner signed up. My boyfriend tried to sign up on his own, but can't get past the invite screen. All of his friends have already signed up through me so he has no one to invite. I tried sending him an invite link, but my screen gets stuck on an infinite load whenever I try. The whole invite process is bogus.

has potential but this initial sign up flow is awful. if you have added less than the 3 friends and then one joins without your invite link. you can't actually add them (despite a notification telling you to do so). I want this to work but honestly I couldn't recommend this to a friend because of the difficulty of signing up.

This app is DEFINITELY not ergonomic (easy to use). The daily menu pops up after every single time you add an event, the multi-day event is finicky to select, it doesn't have an option to select days without setting a repeat, it offers the same event if I start typing in a similar title, which is helpful if it would pop up consistently. Overall the menus and general feel of the app are too crowded and repetitive for much use. It's a good app for friend planning, but please improve it.

I love this app! my bf and I use it due to him having a iPhone and I have a Samsung! it really helps us with our work schedules, social schedules, and school schedules! being able to color code each person and choose who's schedules you want to see is a lifesaver! however, I only reviewed 4 stars because it does take a little bit to learn and you need a certain amount of " friends" in order to color coordinate. other then that, it's a amazing app 10/10 recommend.

Really useful app! Lovely n pleasant to use - if you can use it. 1 star bc "add 3 friends to use app" is insulting. I have a friend I really want to share my calender with but can't bc this feature. Many other reviews dislike this too, I think it would be much better with a lower friend requirement. At least add this info to your FAQ to warn people before they try and invite their introverted friends onto your app and then made to feel bad since they have less friends/a small circle.

Could not use because could not get into app without inviting at least three contacts. Why would I invite contacts to an app when I haven't had a chance to even see how it works? I like to do the groundwork for friends and family on figuring out how to use an app BEFORE I send it to anyone. Especially my older relatives, as getting an invitation to something no one has used yet just makes them avoid technology even more. Remove this "feature", and I'll try it again and update the rating.

Easy to use. No ads. Nothing is blocked by a pay wall. you can set things to repeat forever or even every 2,3,4 weeks. there's really no limit. you can set it so only specific people can see your plans. VERY user friendly and neat to look at. definitely something I will continue to use. definitely recommend for bust friend groups or family or what ever you need.

it was great, but now it won't even let me look at messages from group chats. it freezes everytime and won't open the chat. it's like the page gets stuck. I've un-installed and reinstalled, force stopped, and cleared cache (which worked a little but its still glitchy). i love the concept of this app. its functions are great, but i wish it just did freeze so much.

It's great! I can integrate all my calendars, easily convert events sent from other social media apps to howbout so I can easily track invites across multiple platforms. The ONLY thing keeping it from 5 stars is that there isn't a month and planner widget for my home screen. I need to be able to look at my plans quickly, not open an app every single time I need to see a calendar, otherwise I would stick to the paper version

Can't even give an accurate review - the need to invite 3 friends before you can even see if the app works for you... much less 3 other people you know??? That's absolutely ridiculous. I really can't wrap my head around that thought process. Let me just go send random app invites to my friends before I even try the app myself! 🙃🫠 Uninstall 🙄 If the response is going to be the usual "we find our users enjoy the app better with more friends"- save it. It's a business move.

Seemed like a great fit for what I was looking for, until it wouldn't let me continue or do anything else unless I added 3 friends. What if I only have one person I want to set up a shared calendar with? Why do I *have* to have *3* friends without any option to add them later? Ridiculous that I cant even see how the rest of the app works without convincing 3 other people to also make accounts, or sharing my private contacts. Very clearly meant to just drive up signup numbers :/ disappointing

I was skeptical that an app would help plan get togethers, thought texting was fine and this was extra, but this has been a pleasant and simple experience so far! My local "core" group of friends is all on here, and now our plans don't get lost and no one is accidentally excluded because we have 437 group chats of varying people. Also, I am a very forgetful person, so having a dedicated spot to check back on times and other friends questions is just great.

Fun app to use! A little tricky to get the hang of but not too bad. Would be five stars if there was a desktop app/browser version of this I could use! Separately, I can see the howbout events on the google calendar on my phone, but not on the google calendar on my desktop? How come? Please let me know if there's a workaround or a solution!
