Canceled my subscription the moment I discovered A+E Networks is a 50/50 joint venture with The Walt Disney Company. This app completely buries that connection so unsuspecting subscribers don't realize half their monthly fee flows straight into Disney’s balance sheet. If you have chosen to stop funding Disney and its corporate umbrella, be aware that this service directly funds them. Taking my money to truly independent documentary platforms like Curiosity Stream.

excellent

excellent i have learned so much

History

Its a good app, but I wish they would play more up to date programming

like the app but the only issue i have is that it constantly goes in to buffering. whether it is on my phone via wifi or cell network it also does the same thing on my TV. almost like the servers are not fast enough. I have had this service for a couple of years and am about to cancel because I very rarely get clear full episodes that don't freeze.

I love being able to catch up on shows that I've missed, however I hate that ads aren't where they should be! In the middle of a segment the ads start instead of where they would be if you were watching it on TV. I drives me nuts! If you fix it, I'll give you a 5 star review!

I like how there is a lot to watch. The only problem is that the app drains your battery very quickly.

TV show say they're on this app. When I paid to sign up, none of the TV shows I wanted to watch was on here. False advertisement and complete waste of money.

awesome 👍

I really love this App!!

it's got a good selection of content. the UI is kind of archaic but otherwise worth the price of a subscription.

UI is a little archaic, but the variety in docs and series is good for the price.

Fix the CPU usage my poor phone!

put this back on tv.

I love it! It's great to be able to watch History Channel shows and documentaries without having to pay for everything else that comes with a TV subscription that I don't watch nor care about, which is 99.9% of every streaming and TV package. The only thing that could make History Vault better is if we could watch current season episodes, but that probably won't happen until enough people cut the cord and force History to go independent. I hope it does, though!

not free

paywall for content, junk app

paid the subscription fee keep getting told my tv provider doesn't allow me to watch shows talks about upgrading greedy app that doesn't work

great

informative!

love it

Terrible, your app used to work, now all it does is buffer. Have watched Oak Island for 13 years and now greed rears it's ugly head .SMH!

I really love History Vault!

Love that this has some impossible to find shows but it's missing some other good shows and it always messes up my watch list

uses too much battery when not even being used

back when the H was still a great network! beyond happy I stumbled onto this app

Great choice for history fans! no commercials is a great way to watch. I'm following Skinwalker Ranch episodes 😋. Yummy for UAP encounters!

since you have to pay for it I didn't like it so I deleted it

could use some digital feedback

The content is phenomenal. It's the stuff I love and grew up with. I just wish the app had a feature to conveniently keep track of what I'm watching.

I ❤️ it.

Great app and great price. please add the show The Curse of Oak Island: Drilling Down! For us Acorns.

when I make a list I expect to see all the shows on that list yours is missing things i added to my list you need to work on your app

good game

how much is this app?

I love this app. I was recently in the hospital and this was my go to every night.

best entertainment app

I don't like the fact that you don't tell it will charge you for service frustrating downloaded it then could not use it

great app but it could use a redesign. it could also get a feature that lets u remove from from continue watching. also your app a menu refresh to make it easier to find and view. also give the ability to stop the program from going to next episode.

"Rating: 3 stars for good features and benefits."

I love it. History is my favorite channel 😄😄

I love the history channels.Send it first came out

I couldn't get into my account, even though my payment went through my bank, I checked at least three times, so I cancelled my account tech support was unhelpful.

excellent.

I recently discovered the History Vault thanks to the Roku channel and adore it to pieces! Any issues that I've had recently, I'm going to chalk it up to being weather related 😅

app fails to load. error messages telling me to check date and time settings on my network

I enjoyed the channel very much. But as time goes forward the app does,nt.For new comers its very enjoyable.

I wanted to watch the secrets of skinwalker ranch but all it has is the old stuff

tremendous history content. the app function has gotten better, thus my rating increase

really phenomenal I recommend it to any history people out there that loves to go back in time well this the place for it

great

Why do i have to reset my password everytime I try to login?? the problem I was having has apparently ceased so I've upgraded my rating to reflect it.

Great 👍 👌 thank a Million. Respectfully Submitted.

wonderful app !!!

To Shyren, No actually in this case you are not smarter than AN* adult. Paige Lawson isn't looking for a refund. They want to know why they can't watch any episodes after already paying for a month. You gotta read the whole paragraph and not assume someone is stupid. life lessons

3 stars is just the benefit of the doubt, I realy do think it'd be good. I'm just not fixing to spend 5.99 on it personally.

Great education without going on a search at the library.

I highly recommend it

I am just going to write this review and say Paige Lawson and his/her review is pure stupidity. They paid for the 7 day free trial and canceled after forgetting it and assumed they would be refunded. Dude, that isn't how it works. If you want refunds, you either email the company about it or you get a dispute with your bank. Simple as that. I am not even an adult, and yet I am smarter than a adult. Anyways, the app is great. I like it a lot.

the history Vault app absolutely sucked in my phone. I'm giving it to 0, and it would not play continuously. I watched two shows, and I had to set them up every time this app really sucked for me. I like a lot of shows here. It sucks that I had to CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION.

none to give. this was ordered by mistake, and I request a refund

Issue with casting. Can cast 1 show to my TV & then it will not let me cast another.

still won't get past agree and continue

I love history so when I saw the app...Yahoo❗ But then, I saw it cost$$. It may be cheap to some people, but it can add up.. especially if you have to pay for most of the interesting apps.

doesn't even load

Excellent app for History

I not impressed. We paid for the full year membership, just to find out the new shows that are airing on tv are not on the app. This is the only app that does that. If they would fix that, I would give 5 stars.

Love History Channel content! But for this specific App - It won't let you do anything until you have become a paid subscriber. Unless I missed something!

I started the 7 day free trial and forgot to cancel so ended up paying 5.99 for the month. I canceled the subscription so I wouldn't be charged for the next month and it canceled my subscription immediately and didn't refund me and I can't access the content because it says my account is inactive. Basically I was charged for a month and unable to watch anything. Terrible app.

Was sad, HISTORY, Vault, wanted money...so I just "Google IT " if I want to know something

supposed to get 7 days free and I can't even get signed in to watch anything it keeps telling me something wrong on there end

Love it.

it's a scam app running scam programs don't waste your money

(I've always thought that history is fascinating)

𝗍𝗁𝖠𝖭𝖪 𝗒ō𝖴 𝖵ē𝖱𝗒 𝖬ū𝖢𝗁 !!!

I can't use the app

Wonderful programs im enjoying my trial. Im giving one star because the app literally only has one feature, which is to cast to another device, but it doesnt work. Cant watch on my computer because i bought my subscription thru the app not a tv provider. 💩

Not worth the money you have to pay!

Great

Love your content

Great app

If you want to watch new episodes of history channel shows, DO NOT GET HISTORY VAULT. You can watch old episodes of shows and then history vault says you need history channel through a TV provider to watch new episodes. (The new episodes weren't available a day after original air date, or a week or month later for that matter either)

Works well in West Virginia so far and in Roku TV with out the stick

took my money. subscribed with 7day free trial. Unsubscribe because the app is one season behind on my favorite shows. I travel for a living and wanted to watch new seasons on the road. History didn't give money back just told me they wouldn't charge me again next year. so 60 dollars to watch shows I already watched.

App is fast and super easy to cast to all my TVs. I have an Nvidia Shield on all my TVs. In the future, I would love a native android TV app. Edit 12/25/24 - Christmas miracle! Added a native app for Nvidia Shield! Thank you!

I love history this one seems to be pretty accurate

App doesn't run on my Android TV, and is clunky on my phone. It's an app for streaming documentaries, and it doesn't work on Android TVs??? Instead I should Chromecast from my phone??? But the Chromecast function also doesn't work. The Google TV app on my phone can Chromecast to the TV, the Bluetooth Mouse app can, but not History Vault??? I've been subscribed for two months and have never used it, because you didn't bother to make it work with a TV remote. Total disappointment.

Installed by mistake. Uninstalled. But wouldn't pay the prices you're asking anyway!!

Was ok. Not what I was expecting but informative.

They don't provide direct subscription, I can get all the episodes of my favorite series on the phone, yet I can't get it on my fire TV. What's the point of paying for a subscription if you can't watch it anywhere. You think that it being a learning channel of some sort it will learn how to give us direct subscription like every other app does. This app is ridiculous. I canceled my subscription and uninstalled immediately. What a waste and time.

I decided to get this for the Skinwalker Ranch series,& Beyond Skinwalker Ranch, so I can watch episodes without ads. THE NEW SEASON,5, ISNT EVEN ON HERE YET?! What the heck? Why don't you have it? I'm shocked that nowhere can you watch the show without ads. Come on thats why we pay for History Vault, Discovery plus, etc. It should be there. But sadly no luck. I'll have to wait.

Great Widget .

Dont say the app is free when it absolutely isnt you lying dbags

Couldn't get it to run even after I paid for it and I want it desperately

There have been no season 20 episodes when there should be 20 of them. What am I paying for exactly?

General dynamics

Frustrating. Doesn't seem to do picture-in-picture (so your show continues playing in a smaller pop out window when you access other apps.) Also, a skip intro/recap option would be helpful. - Running Android Version 14 on a Galaxy 21+ 5G

Thought it was free

It seems like this app hasn't been working after the world wide internet outage. The app loads but it doesn't show any content its just a black screen,I'm hoping this app gets fixed.

The first thing I tried was to email the developer and no reply. I signed up for a free trial of history vault and at first it seemed to be working fine. I closed the app because I wasn't ready to watch. When I came back to the app later to watch it showed me the page to sign up again, not recognizing that I am already signed up for the trial. I tried to go to the website to watch or get help at least and it said that I hadn't paid.

Can't subscribe at all, doesn't want history account pw after selecting a plan, it wants google account pw which I put in but it doesn't take it. Also when pressing the red button to subscribe sometimes it doesn't do anything but sometimes if you hit it twice it will work. Tried on another device and got a "something went wrong on our end" message. Not too good and it's costing you money.

Will not let me sign in horrible app

Had trouble with app before and gave up. Its been like a year and a half later. Trying to sign up and it said check my email or sign in. No email and sign in didn't work. Now it says use old log in. So what happened to all that new private data I just gave you. Did it skip the middleman and go straight to dark web or what?

Love history

Tracking is required to play videos through the app. If you use a network level DNS security and tracking blocker like AdGuard or PiHole, it needs to be disabled. The same shows play perfectly through a web browser on the same devices. Why do they also block mobile browsers? If this was an honest company they'd allow paying customers to use the service without being tracked. Pretty scummy of History. Makes me wonder how much I trust A&E.

Absolutely fantastic if you're a history fan like me

App is clunky and a bit buggy but works.

My pw isn't working on the app. There is something wrong with this app.

I love my History channel sent I got it that all I watch

It's a genuinely bad paid app for binge watching. No auto play, no next episode, and you actually have to navigate around to find the next episode. Also doesn't even list the episode number when on an episode. Funny how the ad based app doesn't have these issues. Update: App suddenly decides to stop working with Chromecast, restarted all devices, no luck. Tried on tablet and phone. Other apps still cast. Update: The email they gave me ignored me entirely. My email is literally in the name above.

My TV works with Apps, when I engage with this one... It's not worth working

it was working on my PC then just stopped

This is an amazing app to watch any of the documentaries that History channel makes and it plays really really well and if you like documentaries that History channel makes and anything with the History channel this is the perfect app to go to because they have anything and everything you could possibly think of using thank you guys so much for fixing my problem and as well as their support is amazing they will get back in touch with you and try to fix anything or any problem you have thank you!

How do you unsubscribe from this worthless channel?

I have tried several different methods to unsubscribe , but I still get charged...

Casting can get better and allow more TV

This service's content is way better than the app... But this app lacks key functionality overall and even loses my place when resuming what I've paused - too annoying. Consequently, I've canceled my subscription because switching to watching in the browser isn't an option. Also, I've uninstalled this app because lots of great or even better content is widely available through many far better streamers.

Beware! I cancelled this service about three years back because they broadcast very little content that has to do history any more. It turns out that they continued to subtract annual subscription money through this year until just discovered. ....that's $150 that they stole from me and they have yet to respond to requests for the money to be refunded.

It won't download !!!

I was once enamored by the history of His story. Alas, I AM a fool. I must be the only 0ne in America to still believe in reincarnation. How else are these people going to realize that to be is not always in the midst. But, a vaulted memory is an incarcerated punishment due to the purposed denial that We so clearly see by NBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN. As is the before that was prior to the pre-automated quote, "We the underwriters, due solemnly state the 0bvious . . . We cheat"

Complete waste of money, this only allows acess to old content.

No thanks!

Doesn't load, just spins

Content is good but they cut me off before the end of my cycle. Wrote to them by email, Have screenshots and have not heard back.

Loved it I don't have the right phone or android

Could not purchase app. Went to main website and witnessed the vomitous level of Division, Idiocy, & Exclusion policies.... no thanks - my money can be used elswhere

They are missing well over half of the History Channel shows and documentaries.

Said it was FREE, IT WAS NOT! I do not deal with LIARS!

Won't let me subscribe telling me error not worth the frustration

Incredible

Still love the docs! The reality TV? Not so much! That's one of the reasons that I stick with HVault. Now available for Chromecast, Yay! Edit: What happened? This was working great on Chromecast and now it's not available again?

Royal Blues 💙 Cing@screencam7(EDS)

Love History

The video is black..nothing but sound. Still not working on my Samsung tablet. Works on 1 computer.

why I can't install it on my Google TV??

It's impossible to unsubscribe

Ver6 interesting

Not only can I not watch the History Channel on my YouTube TV this is absolute trash for both companies. This app is absolutely garbage on my brand new Samsung TV. Absolutely trash. Playing, loading video, everything.

Been watching history channel

You have to install it to learn there's a membership

I love the app I just wish I could listen with my screen off.

Love everything. And need to know everything as well.

All the adds said it was free to watch and all you had to do was watch the adds so I am super disappointed that once it downloaded I was going to have to pay to even login.... Absolutely stupid

Cannot wait for tv version, only a few tvs have chromecast and would love to put this on my father's tv.

Awesome I really enjoyed

I subscribed and the first 2 videos It says sorry, we cannot play this video

I like it, because it teaches me different things, some of which I already know, but I also like watching oak island.

Still learning.

Great .

Great .

Want to watch on my TV... Downloaded app and can't navigate to anything. Worst app experience. I have to cancel. Great content but can't watch because of the app.

Thank you for feeding my obsession with history lol

Great app! Does this app have an autoplay function or an option to add episodes to a queue ? I cant find it

Great for your mind...

I am simply a history buff I love this channel documentaries are by far most excellent

The original History Channel was about history. The History Channel anymore has very little to do with history. So here is an app that is what a History Channel should be... and you have to pay... again... for it. Consider it History Channel MAX. ... $$$

$ you have to paid for it! !!!

Great .

Can't enter my name???

YouTube 🙄

Doesn't work bad app

I'm not going to pay $49.99 a year to watch your app, I'm not going to pay $1.00 either. I'll just keep watchIng it on my cable. Im uninstalling this app now.

Do not install. This app is broken. It does even allow me to create an account. It is stuck saying I need more characters for my password when I have more than enough. I have tried several passwords. It's just stupid that such a big name app doesn't work at all.

Would have been great but you can't use without paid subscription

Love history vault!! Worth downloading

It is not free. Because when you download it it ask you to buy a free trial for$4.99 for a month or $49.00 for six months. This is what you call false advertisment.

I want the free lite version

Words fail to describe how much I love the History Vault shows. My reward for getting through my day is curling up in bed with a History Vault show on my phone. So imagine my disappointment when this app, which I pay $4.99 a month to use, fails to work -- not just once -- but the next month, and then a few months later, and then the following month after that... This time the app won't even open -- just that little thing spinnining eternally.

I wish I could give this app 100 stars! It has to be one of the BEST documentary apps available. I absolutely LOVE this new, updated version. The shows are all in HD and are very clear. The variety and selection of shows will leave you with hours and hours of viewing in just about every kind of topic imaginable. Keep up the excellent work, History Vault and you will have a lifelong customer! Thank you!!!😁

Thank you for this available,I listened to the podcast about pyramids telling how old they were and can't wait to watch what you have share.🤔👍

This app is discriminatory it chooses who can subscribe and who can't I tried subscribing using my Money Network card and it said error This app is a complete joke

I TRIED TO DOWNLOAD 09/19/2023 NO SUCH LUCK.WHY? PUZZLED CONSUMER.

Cool

Amazing

Are they screwed me they gave me a 7-Day check it out. After the second day I called and canceled I don't care if they take for 99 for the month. But they take the whole goddamn year 4499 or something now I got to go to the bank and is damn you're not worth itwaste half a day for about three-quarters of what I make

It keeps say can't play content at this time

Awesome app

Great Content but it won't install on nvidia shield pay only for the phone makes no sense pls do an android tv app

Couldn't get past the sign up. They better not charge me!!

The app works pretty good the only thing that is a downside is the content they don't have the new shows that come on the regular history channel you have to download the other app to be able to do that but you have to be subscribed to a TV provider would good if you didn't have to do that since your paying to use this app

Didn't tell me I had ta pay

Thought it was free. It's not.

Bad news at its finest

Ahhh

Love this app!!!

App fails to load 75% of the time. Too frustrating to deal with. Bummed.

0nce upon a 'time' The World was created "&" THE WORLD belongs to It's '''creator''' 4the ""Word"" SAYS S0

Love the channel!

Really lacking in older history channel content no wild west tech ,greatest tank battles ,the conquerors most of shootout or decisive battles. Maybe they will add them over time

has ability 4 me to see again 1950 tv "flash gordon and his trip to mars."!? series? if not? dont bothrr. sorry.

When I was watching the documentaries of Hitler I could watch the first very few minutes before it froze up & just went back (without any interference on my part, all on its own) to the beginning as if I had just started it. A little pathetic, if you ask me.

Junk

None of the videos can be seen on a Galaxy Samsung S21 Ultra. Just one of the most dismal, horrendous apps I've ever downloaded.

this app is great! has all the good educational and informative shows History Channel used to before they became reality TV

Can't even get past the sign in screen. Waste of my time.

Not what I was thinking though new episodes were put on here pretty fast my Hulu app has way newer episodes of the same shows I will be dropping this account

Will not allow me to cast it to my tv other than that it's great but will not keep

Now working great. Thanks!

Content is great and I was happy paying for the subscription, but after 5 days it wouldn't work no matter what I did, so I had to cancel.
