The pas port scanning took forever. otherwise ok.

I have been trying to replace my driving licence because it was in my purse which has been stolen. I reported this to South Yorkshire Police and was told it would be simple..The DVLA app directed me to this one, and after spending some time trying to navigate all the required details I came to a page asking me to confirm my identity, which I did by entering my passport details. at that point I was informed that I could not supply my passport photo with my phone, so I have come to a dead end.

well that was easy...

Absolute joke, so flaming difficult to get into, i gave up. Wouldn't accept my email address and couldn't get any further

I just needed to renew my driving licence which was supposed to be "Quicker online". So having spent time creating GovUK One account with all the security checks etc I downloaded the app but it doesn't even open ! What a total waste of time, quicker to fill in the paper form, queue up at the post office and pay recorded delivery!

At no point over the last year has this app worked for me. I've tried it on three phones and a tablet and every time it just says there's a problem. That's it, that's all it does.

This was not quick and easy. It was incredibly time consuming and difficult. It did not accept my smart phone because it said it was too old so I had to use my wife's. Stupid system that needs vast improvement.

Far too complicated and utterly useless. Just a nightmare to set up an account, from start to finish. I provided all the requested information, then it failed to verify my identity. Totally infuriating and anxiety inducing and no obvious easy resolution. I cannot believe how dreadful an experience this has been.

trying to access my p45 so I can try get crisis grant just stuck on connecting to face scan infinite loading even though I'm connected on wifi can get on website no bother absolute joke guess I'll be starving due to your brilliant app.

asked me for a pin number but never created one!!!

annoyed that this app doesn't work with graphene os (for me and maybe others - play integrity API fails)... would like to see this addressed, especially as graphene os is arguably a much more secure os(?)

this is a long drawn out procedure . and complicated at the id verification. it needs to be much more straightforward and simpler from the start. i have found it frustrating and gone over the same details twice, and I haven't got anywhere. Mr c anderson

THEN YOU CANT EVEN LOG ON BECAUSE IT ONLY WORKS WITH SPECIFIC BROWSERS. what was wrong with the normal password login before I've used the hmrc app a thousand times and ALREADY PROVIDED ID..... WHY CANT I ACCESS MY OWN INFORMATION NOW?!?!?! OH yeah.... because palantir want to farm data and track us.... BUT YOUR NEW SYSTEM DOESNT EVEN WORK. USELESS middle man app wasting taxpayer money.

absolutely dreadful app, I have been trying to add my veterans card, for the past 2months, even the army veteran's department has been trying to help,and nothing works. People don't waste your time with this application! My identity has been confirmed,it's just impossible to add the Veterans card

Why such a cumbersome, clunky process every year to confirm a single Veteran's ID Card? Thank goodness I don't have to do this with all my other photo ID documents!

scan qr code - code not recognised?!! Add document - only choice given is hm forces veteran card?! Although I served in the armed forces I don't have a veteran card but do have a valid passport and driving licence but no choice is given to use them??

need to renew my driving licence but ive got to prove who I am first fine take a picture of my licence front and back fine now I need to scan my face to confirm its me BUT WAIT the face scan part doesnt even open up to take a picture just a error everytime no matter what device i use now ive got to travel miles to a specific post office just to confirm I am me JOKE JOKE sort it out gov

a bit convoluted but ok in the end.

app doesn't work at all on Google pixel 5 android 11, have tried all the different fixes but nothing gets past "You cannot use the GOV.UK One Login app at the moment. Try again later" and no it isn't down ATM it just doesn't work

The face recognition is poor. It doesn't tell you why a facial scan is not good enough, and then after three tries it locks you out. It then tells you to contact GOV One support. When I try to contact them, they tell me to contact HMRC. When I go onto the HMRC website, it says they cannot help with login issues so contact GOV One. Just going round in circles. Perhaps they should use some of the tax they're trying to collect to improve this process!

renew driving license.. face scan... too much bright light... the room is poorly lit.. what a useless process. 3 times it fails and you're stuck with paper forms. Government Tech is terrible

Awarded with a massive dose of sarcasm for being quite possibly the worst app I have ever encountered. I'm green with envy at the people getting to the stage of having their identity photos rejected. You lucky, lucky people. I can't even open the app; just endless scrolling until I get 'Sorry there's a problem, try again later'. I've 'tried again later' about a dozen times and refuse to waste any more time with it. App deleted and an upcoming trip to the post office.

Terrible. For a key piece of UK infrastructure, simple ID verification is broken. This no doubt costs the UK substantially more in lost revenue than the cost to build such a simple product.

Appalling and utterly useless. Just circular, no instructions, no you can't use this to identify yourself. go somewhere else that says use app to identify yourself. Who on earth created this rubbish. Definitely shouldn't be running a country.

you go through all of this rubbish, to have to fill most of it in again on the page. What a waste of time! 4 lots of verification codes, fill out your passport details to then fill it out on the delay page anyway. What a waste of public money

The app works perfectly well and is easy to use but I deeply resent needing a smart phone to complete registration. It's exclusionary.

passport scan didn't work, unable to go back and add. had to uninstall and re login 5 times, eventually used driving license and it worked
